I travelled across town passing a bunch of other brew supply stores to buy a beer kit based on their website which I thought was impressive and had an open mind when I walked in. The store has a really good selection in brew equipment and extract kits and quite the impressive selection in parts for putting together a home brew setup and Kegging parts from the keg right to the taps. Putting prices on all the stuff in the store would make it way better while shopping!!! They have a good selection in pre-canned beer extract kits of all brands but need to be able to answer questions on the kits which they couldn’t other than reading to you off the web. They have the best selection in all brands of beer kits, Kegging parts, dispensing faucets, beer lines and all sorts of other small parts for putting your system together that I’ve seen in the city. From what I understand you can call them with a beer grain recipe and they will put it together for you to pick up. I will go back.

I've been shopping here exclusively for all my brewing supplies for almost 2 years now. Not only do they have a vast array of grains to choose from, but they also have dozens of hop varieties which all come in sealed foil packaging to keep it fresh. They have dozens of yeast strains including Wyeast, Escarpment labs, Danstar, Fermentis, Mangrove Jack and Lalvin for wine yeast. They have pretty much every measuring instrument, hardware, fermentation equipment or mash equipment you could need. They also have a variety of liquid and dry malt extracts for extract brewing, and award-winning beer kits designed by the owners. In addition to beer supplies they also have a huge range of wine kits available. They've just finished renovations to expand the store to get even more stuff in stock! It's not unusual for me to be in the store for a quick trip to pick up a few things and end up spending 45 minutes or an hour there talking with the owners about recipe design, brewing ideas or troubleshooting some problems I've come across. They're extremely friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a homebrew shop in Winnipeg stop in here.

Best homebrew store in the city. They do a great job of managing inventory and keeping things in stock. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Extremely reasonable and competitive prices. Worth driving to from anywhere in the city. You can order online and they'll have it ready for pick up when you arrive. I think I heard they deliver orders for a small fee as well?

If you want beer supplied, this is where you shop. Best prices in town, best brewers too. These guys really know their stuff. They had taken lots of our questions when we first started brewing. Just so helpful. They really put our minds at ease, when we thought we messed up. The website is very well done, and delivery is free in Winnipeg over $50. Owner dropped off an order himself! I love this place, easily best in city. I am just learning how to brew but their Grain to Glass beer kits are amazing. They turn out well and taste great. Way cheaper than purchasing your beer at the MLCC. Instructions could be a little more detailed for new people though, etc how long to leave things in, primary or secondary needed, hops timing etc?

I finally made it to this store and I won't be shopping anywhere else now. I love the fact that they are actually open in the evening so it's not a mad race to get there before they close. They have a great selection of ingredients and yeasts. If you are just starting out or if you are a grizzled veteran, try these guys out.

A true test of a retailer is how they handle problems. I bought a Grainfather from Grain to Glass Inc. and it arrived with a number of serious dents, and the thermowell was bent significantly downwards inside the unit. After a bit of investigating, it was clear to me that the damage was caused by the unit not being packed properly in its box and was not caused by the delivery co. as there was no damage to the pckaging itself. The unit had clearly been previously assembled and only partially disassembled before being improperly packed and shipped to me. The CF chiller (fairly heavy) was simply laying inside the GF being held up by the thermowell, which of course bent from the stress. I verified that that's not how they are normally packed. I contacted the seller, sent photos of the damage, and asked what he thought and what we should do about it. His response was to blame his supplier and offer to negotiate for a discount on my behalf. Hmm. I didn't buy it from his supplier, obviously, so I wasn't impressed so far. 2 months of regular follow up were met with neglect, delay and further "negotiations" with his supplier. I was eventually offered a very modest discount/refund which I accepted, assuming this was the best this guy was ever going to do. I would not recommend purchasing any big ticket items from this store. It's likely that you will be much better served by finding a different vendor.

Good store but they only keep limited inventory of beer kits. For some reason they wait till they're out to order more and it can take up to 3 weeks. Too bad they don't carry more stock.

First time using this store after a friend told me to get them out. Been brewing all grain for about 5 years now. These guys were great. Got one of their all grain recipes. It's nice cause they grind it properly, give you the recipe, and make sure you have all you need. No fuss. Had a specific question about water too and got good advice. Did the grapefruit IPA, followed the recipe, and my OG came in on point. Pretty sure this will be a good batch.
