Disappointing experience in the Glasshouse Bistro on a Tuesday morning. Cafe tables were dirty and when I ordered my latte the service was surly. The cookie was serve-your- own from the tray but no napkins were provided by the cookie tray. I wiped the bits of lettuce and bread off the table so I did not have to put my food on a dirty table and walked to another part of cafe to get a napkin. Overall unclean and unfriendly and overpriced for lack of service.
I love this location, especially as a venue for events. The food menu is pretty sad, lots of big words for simple almost concession type food. The shops have great items and usually decent service. The grocery store is somewhat questionable-selection is odd and prices reflect cost of renting the space-but a nice place to pick up a few unique items. My favourite part is always the garden centre although you do need a reasonable budget to get some good plants/supplies-overall it's a great experience!
It is a very beautiful place to visit anytime but I spent quite a bit of time looking through orchids. They have a lovely cafe, ( I didn't visit because I don't know if they offer vegan food) and some lovely stores. It is quite pricey so I'm always cautious of my spending.
Had brunch at the Glass House Bistro. Menu selections were more limited than the last time I visited. Eggs Benedict were good but not hot. I always like the bright ambience
A vegan I work with told me about this place, didn’t even know a place like this existed in Edmonton and area. Expensive but worth it, really nice building, beautiful surrounding area, apparently some people have weddings here it’s that nice . Never very busy either
I recently moved to Fort Saskatchewan and knew I would be frequenting the Enjoy Centre. Their grocery store helped me in every way they could. They didn't have the one product I wanted, so they ordered it in, and said it would be a regular shelf item from then on. Great Service. Thank you for all your help
I love going here because the plants are so well cared for. I do however find the staff to be a little full of themselves and feel that they have a tendency to speak down to me. Maybe they actually don't, and I just focus on the worst of people. Either way, if you like flowers, plants and growing stuff. You should definitely come here and decide for yourself. Their prices aren't the worst either. Also, while you're here make a point to check out EVOOLUTION and get yourself some delicious balsamic and Olive Oil.
Amazing concept and built for growth but just not the same as the Hole's from its days on Bellerose Drive. Limited selection on indoor and outdoor plants. Maybe too much commercial space for other vendors. Good for a browse but not enough plants for these green thumbs!
I’ve always loved this greenhouse! It’s bright, clean, they have cute decorative decor for your home/outside, the staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience buying my house plants from here. Looking forward to visiting through out the summer again.
Great selection for Organic produce. Bakery has large selection and tastes amazing too!
St Albert Haven! Fresh and peaceful place! Staff are so friendly and helpful, my first visit and blown my mind ????
Excellent customer service, especially in Commercial Services. Jennifer was especially helpful and we found her assistance reasonable and extremely professional. Our planters are stunning and seem to invoke conversation from every single person who pass them. Great job, everyone!
There's constantly something interesting going on at the Enjoy Centre, it's the perfect place to go to spend an afternoon. A little on the pricey side, a tea and baked good is at least $6, but the quality is 100 times better than Tim Hortons!
Had my wedding here in the summer and this is the best and most unique place in Edmonton! All the photos turned out absolutely amazing with the perfect amount of lighting! All my guests were amazed by the venue! The staff were great at helping us with the ideas for decorations and were very sincere. They allowed us to bring in our own food catering (Punjab Parantha Hut) who did an amazing job with the food! Everyone loved it!
I want to like this place as I have fond memories of holes greenhouse but it is far from that. The layout is confusing, tons of wasted space and most things are over priced. Parking is terrible. I wouldn't go there for plants, there are …
We were there on May 8, and while the selection was good, there wasn't as much in either houseplants, annuals, perennials or garden plants as I had expected for a greenhouse this big. I know they changed owners recently tho, and I've been to Salisbury in Sherwood Park and know it's excellent, so I fully expect this greenhouse to "ramp up" and I look forward to coming back!
Our family had a GREAT and magical night there - strolling, laughing, and playing, under the twinkle of a million Christmas Lights! And our children really enjoyed the interactive playgrounds and train ride there, which is not just for kids, but also for all ages... Definitely recommendable and worth to visit!!!
This is an amazing facility. It’s got it all. From groceries to gifts to plants to a restaurant and coffee shop and a bakery and other services. The store is well lit and clean. The washroom facilities are clean also. Lots of parking spaces available.
This was my first visit and I really enjoyed the atmosphere with all the plants around. They carry a lot of great items, such as tools and of course potting utensils, all of great quality. There is a nice little bakery and supplement shop. If you are looking for rare stuff, they probably have it. Very nice staff. The coffee shop is quite pricey though.
So, I probably come here every few weeks, especially in the winter. This place is a like a little spa experience. There are a ton of things to look at since the centre contains a greehouse/gardening centre, Glasshouse cafe and bistro, olive …
I came here for a wedding two years ago, the place is welcoming, cozy and has great lighting. From what I remember from the night was how spacious it was and how many people were there.
Went in to pick up some treats from Wild Life Bakery (no complaints with them, they are fantastic). The issue is, if you're going to have cashiers at the entry way, the least they could do is great you and say "have a good day" on your way …
March 26, 2019 Your coffee place is great Your barista, blond guy is so friendly and courteous I ordered an Americano and peanut butter banana nut brownie/fudge Freshly brewed coffee and baked goods Previous visit 2018 Orchid Show
Staff were friendly when you tracked them down for help. Not the most informed about their products, but when my wife returned the following day, the man we'd spoken to on the first visit, had actually gone home and researched the answers to questions we had asked that he didn't have answers for. The center is nice, bright, decent selection, enjoy the indoor and outdoor areas. However, the prices are a bit high, if not for the discount sale, we wouldn't have shopped here. We were also told purchases over $500 would receive free delivery, since we don't have a truck and were unable to transport the trees home. Our purchase was over that price, and we were still charged a $60 delivery fee. After talking with their admin staff about it, who took several days and several emails themselves to figure this out, told me they have no free deliveries, never had and never will, and they will "educate" their staff and management on giving out the wrong information. They offered no refund or apology other than for the miscommunication from their poorly trained staff (which seemed harsh considering the staff were all polite and nice at least), and balked at my suggestion that maybe they should make it clearer their policy for deliveries online and in store, and that they should consider free deliveries for purchases over a certain amount, to encourage more purchasing from customers. The delivery was on time, efficient, the delivery staff were informative about care for the trees. I will not be going back here.
My husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding ceremony and reception at the Enjoy Centre this July. The ceremony was in the Park Room and the reception was in the Glasshouse Bistro. We were so lucky to have Ashley as our venue coordinator as she did an amazing job! She provided suggestions and helped us throughout every phase of our planning, making the process that much easier. The venue was perfect on the day and we couldn't have asked for more. All of our guests commented on what a fantastic time they had, how amazing the space was, and how amazingly delicious the food was. The Glasshouse Bistro did up a wonderful buffet that surpassed our expectations and kept our fun-themed wedding party in mind, including providing single serve ice cream deserts in our wedding colours! The Floral Studio also povided us with absolutely gorgeous bouquets and corsages and did a fantastic job of incorporating our lego figures into the boutonnieres (I think they had a lot of fun). We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to hold their event.
Much too long for meal to arrive. It was plain that my meal had been sitting for too long, waiting for the others to be ready. Sourdough toast should not break when you try to cut it. Hollandaise sauce was almost non existent and not very …
This is a huge place. Lots to choose from but can be overwhelming at times. I have seen a nice orchids show. It's a well organized assembly of many displays. Great opportunity to look at, smell, admire, relax, and appreciate. You can also talk to experts and learn a lot.
What used to be a 5 star experience and a safe space for me changed yesterday. I have a medical condition that doesn’t allow me to wear a mask. Which used to be A Ok & now apparently is not... what has changed? Aren’t most “protected” at this stage if they so choose? Sadly I was confronted by a staff member, a first for me in amaranth, and told I would have to leave unless I provide my papers so they could be documented. I did not have them on me as no one should ever be required to share private medical information. I said I could provide my Dr’s name and number to confirm, which the staff member said no to and forced either proof on my behalf or that I should leave. So I had to leave and return with proof of my medical condition. Seriously? at this point anyone not wearing a mask is likely doing so for a reason. Making one feel uncomfortable is unacceptable. Until this changes or I receive some form of apology from management I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
I use to enjoy going here to plant shop i am a regular plant shopper I have a large collection of around 300-400 plants. However I refuse to support this buisness at all now since they have made the mask mandantory towards Medically exempt ppl. The last time I was in there I was stopped by 2 staff members at the door at was told I could not come in I was asked and I Quote one of them saying how can that be that your exempt? I told the they were legally not allowed to ask me my medical history. So I left and went spent it in other Green houses.
I love the Bistro and the greenhouse. I love some of the available specialty items in the different shops. The shops feel under staffed though, wait time at the deli/butcher shop was a little ridiculous, however, we do like the meat there.
Couldn’t find a child friendly cart through out the entire building. The lady at the till at the front kept giving us the run around of where to look for one while not actually offering to assist us. Not a great customer service experience. Although their was a a helpful staff member once we were able to start shopping.
Went to Hillabys to order some dishes. Always enjoy poking around all the fun gadgets and the friendly service. Also bought a couple of small plants from Holes. I think all the oxygen from the plants affects my state of mind. It always feels peaceful.
I have been going to the Enjoy Centre since they first opened and it is definitely one of my favourite places to shop! I purchased all of my tomato plants from Enjoy this past spring and have had the best tasting crop ever! I find their prices very comparable with any quality greenhouses and try to attend as many of Jim Holes free talks as possible...they are so informative! Also their pansies are amazing and I wouldn’t buy them anywhere else..I definitely get the quality that I am looking for! Thank you Enjoy Centre!!
This is a really cool place to take you mom or grandma or a date. The grocery store downstairs has lots of unique options and upstairs is obviously a greenhouse. Besides being a little pricey this is an great place to spend an afternoon.
This is such an amazing facility! Everything under 1 roof and with a focus on sustainability and personal health. So much to look at and do and always a great place to meet for a coffee, a meal, or to get an awesome Massage!
Best place for seed , I bought gift card on December, saved me a lot
Beautiful Location, but the worst venue to work with. Do not believe the reviews in Blush Magazine for this wedding venue. That review was based on previous ownership and management that no longer exists at Holes' Enjoy Center. My wedding was nearly a disaster thanks in large part to the Managers and new Owners of the Enjoy Center. From the day we signed our contract in July of 2016, to three days before our wedding day, we dealt with 7 separate event coordinators, each of whom was either fired or forced to quit due to disagreements with the executive management at the facility. Despite having been given vocal confirmation of inclusion of things like Fans, podiums, staging etc, we discovered these things had allegedly been promised to us falsely, and should never have been offered without executive permissions. In addition to that, we were told if we still needed these items, then we would be required to make an additional payment of 80% on top of our contractual fee. In fact, the Executive Manager/Head Chef threatened to cancel my wedding unless my family payed this fee. Imagine hearing this 3 days before you're to walk down the aisle. During the wedding itself, the staff were excessively rude to our guests, refused to provide water glasses during the reception, attempted to steal leftover cupcakes, and mysteriously lost bottles of liquor that had been purchased specifically for our friends and family. DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING WITH THIS COMPANY. They will make what is supposed to be the happiest days of your life, into one of the worst. If it hadn't been for my family and friends supporting us through this whole process, we never would've gotten through it.
My wife and I got married July 2019. We had our ceremony and reception at the Enjoy Centre/ Glass House Bistro. The event staff, chef and flower department are all great people. They all worked above and beyond to make our day special and run smoothly! Took away a lot of stress that is typically associated with such big event! Unique space and all of our guests were in awe of the surroundings!
I’ve been to the Enjoy Centre of a number of different reasons. Glow Edmonton, the Edmonton Craft fair, a work Christmas party. Overall the venue is very well kept and beautiful. They have an amazing assortment of plants and gardening supplies, and the store in the basement is packed with all sorts of quality products. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and parking is never an issue.
We had Sunday brunch at the cafe today. Expensive, cold food, Eggs Benedict very vinegar flavour, French toast had lemon butter in middle and not soft at all. If you decide to tip it is just for food coming to your table. The waiter does not return to table at all.
I used to love this place, there have been massive changes, and not for the better. The food used to be really good now we can't seem to get any. I always bought the glass House blend tea so good! Apparently they're not doing that anymore either. Do they know what they're doing? And lots of fake flowers fake plant displays that are really tacky so not Lois Hole. It seems as though this place is closing down. So much for shopping and having a nice lunch here. Sad. Stay downstairs to avoid major dissapointment.
Went to Orchid Fare. Opening time changed so had time to look around. Beautiful orchids at the show. Room is bright and sunny. Displays gorgeous and so many for sale.
Perfect wedding venue if you have over 300 guests. Staff are very responsive and provided a great tour of the venue. The events that the Enjoy Centre puts out are also fun and great for families. Great quality plants too.
Plant lovers heaven and much much more!! This place has it all, from an evoolution, deli, bakery, a spa, a clothing store, a bistro and restaurant, a health foods grocery store, vitamins and supplements store, florist service, massive greenhouse space filled with everything from potted flowers, succulents, cacti, fruits and veggies, seeds galore, and every possible gardening tool, resource, or decoration imaginable. I’ve been to many events in the beautiful moonflower room, from the amplify youth arts and music festival, to weddings, to the mayors art and culture awards, to the indie handmade show. Gorgeous hall with beautiful glass greenhouse ceilings to let in natural light and view the stars. staff, service, goods, and experience have all been top notch on all of my trips to the enjoy centre.
This is for next spring: Hole's (when the Enjoy Centre was owned by the Hole family) used to have stunning displays of petunias. Very bright colours, lots of selection, maturing plants still in the plastic trays. This year, the selection was awful. None of the bright pink ones I used to buy. Not enough available in any event. I ended up going to a different garden centre and finding what I needed. The new management has obviously not learned anything from previous ownership. Didn't do their homework by even making notes about how Holes did things.
Visited today with 4 other good friends, nice selection but very pricey. Stopped for lunch at the bistro and the staff were very unfriendly. Maybe they don't "enjoy" their jobs which in turn gave us all a less than "enjoyable" experience. Would not recommend to others.
A great place for plant lovers! A huge collection of all kinds of seeds and planting soil. You can also buy beautiful pots and decorating items for your garden!
Beautiful facilities, great assortment of garden and potting materials. The staff knowledge is great. They'll get the answers to your questions. Tools, pots, lights, soil, seed to saplings it's all there. Prices tend to run to the high side, however the products they sell tend to be at the higher end of the market. So be warned. With that being said, their selection of cheaper plastic pots is limited. I have purchased fruit and flowering trees, flowers, tomatoes plants, and a variety of indoor plants, and never had anything die. There plant products live and are insect free.
Great place for indoor and outdoor plants.Staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We stopped for a coffee and Saskatoon muffin in the bistro Cafe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely morning!
Nice place. restaurant wise it was nothing but disappointing. Really short menu. Overpriced for what you are actually getting. Out of 4 different dishes, none of them were particularly good. 2 Hot drinks came cold, that's an easy fix though !
