Sobeys Southland truly has a wonderful team of staff. They are so dedicated to their customers needs and are always looking to ensure that customers have a great experience at their store. Jess and McKenzie are knowledgable are excellent at giving new suggestions to customers to fit their tastes. The store is a wonderful customer of ours and carry Smooth 42 favourites as well. Be sure to stop in and check them out if your in town!

Competitive liquor prices are very nice to have, since the Sask party has driven our province into the ground anyways, there's no point in shopping at a Sask Liquor Board for Community dividends. So I usually shop at Sobeys now. great service, great prices, and great Growler selection and ciders

Today February 8th, 2019 I was racially profiled at the Sobeys Liquor Southland in Regina, Saskatchewan. I was normally shopping holding a bottle on my hand when randomly a Caucasian clerk pulled me from my shoulder and told me to leave the store as she believed I was gonna steal the bottle. I was unsure of what to buy so I took my time looking around(as any normal shopper would). I make this complaint because I do not believe it is fair to me and others to be discriminated against by the employees of a store.

Refused Service. My first time there was my last time!!! I was in the Southland Mall Sobey's Liquor Store with my teenage daughter this afternoon and was refused service because my daughter “showed interest” in products sold at your store. First of all, define “showed interest”. I question why would Sobey’s allow minors into a liquor store if your employees are going to refuse service to adults. As a professional woman that spends thousands of dollars at Sobeys grocery and liquor stores annually. Secondly, not only was I offended but the way we were treated was not only unethical it was very judgmental of my daughter and I. Passing judgment(s) of someone, is consider harassment, slanderous, unprofessional and very oppressive. Never had issue with any other liquor store with my child with me.

They've taken care to make a good selection here, notably focusing on local products. You can fill growlers here, choosing from local brews. The beer fridge is smaller than the Sobeys liquor in the north end, but it is a good balance. I was surprised and impressed at all the local distilled liquor they had. You can sample both beer on tap and some whiskies they feature. They also have things like snacks, mix, ice, and etc. which makes it a nice one stop kind of place

Loved this store! I could've spent hours and lots of money. Coming from Winnipeg, this liquor store set up was so different than ours. I loved that they keep all of their beer in a walk in fridge and it's easily accessible. They carried so many products that we don't have at home. I also really liked the fact that it was a one stop shop. They had mix and bar accessories on sale which make it handy if you're shopping for a gift, or are just running in for a quick stop before an event and can grab everything at once. I would love to see stores like this in Winnipeg.

Very bad experience with Cashier Tanner, She didn’t ask for Air Miles when People paying, she also very rude attitude when she said I can’t reach your items. She can polite to ask for if customers can lift heavy beer case to the counter. Really bad experience at this my favourite store today.

Am not happy at all with my experience at this Sobeys today. My boyfriend was turned away because I didn’t bring my ID in, even though there’s been MULTIPLE times I’ve gone In with other people and they have been served. Maybe management should be making sure their employees are treating all customers the same !

This place is always stocked so you don't have to look around for specific drinks. They have the top/most selection for low calorie options in my opinion and they are always kind when helping. They also keep a lot of the deals so you don't have to shop around to get a good price.

Visited the store tonight for the first time. The kid that was cashier decided he couldn't sell to me because he didn't know who I was buying for. Had my 18 year old daughter with me and she never touched anything in the store. Sobeys liquor store in the north west is so much better, was never treated like that there. I'll never waste my time going to the south one again. Recommend to avoid.

Checked to see if they carried a beer I like and the employee seemed reluctant to look. When the answer came back no, I explained that I've purchased it there before and asked if it would be back in stock. I was told to "check with th SLGA. That's where we get our liquor anyway." Other that that interaction, it's fine.

Fantastic experience! New orders required COVID vaccination proof for entry. After being given a hard time about my Janssen single dose vaccine at a different store (they couldn't comprehend a 2nd dose wasn't needed), I was thankful the door screener was educated on the government approved inoculations. He swifly reviewed my documentation, granted me entry and I found everything I needed at an excellent price. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. It's only fair I leave a positive review after leaving negative feedback for the other store. Appreciated supporting a business that appreciated mine! Sobey's for the win!

Staff refused my friend service, after starring daggers at us from across the store the whole time we shopped, because I didn't have a photo ID. I wasn't buying anything, we're almost 30 and I happened to have other ID just nothing with a picture, cause you know, I wasn't there to buy anything. During this altercation, and after seeing my licence with both a very feminine name and gender marker, the staff referred to me(a transgender woman) as "he" when talking about me to my friend. She either didn't bother to check our IDs and just wanted to make trouble for us or checked our IDs and willingly decided to ignore my gender marker, name, general appearance and gender me incorrectly on purpose. Either way Sobeys just lost out on two customers forever. Would recommend other people who like feeling respected when shopping avoid them as well. The other liquor store we ended up going to and not even getting ID at was cheaper any way.

I want to give more stars because it is a beautiful new store with friendly staff and great selection. Having said all that, I made a special trip tonight to get some craft beer and they had run out of the gas so could not fill my growlers. So the great beer selection is not so great. Would be prudent to call ahead and make sure you can get access to the many yummy beers.

I have never been more offended by a liqour store than I have by this one. I have been buying Alcohol for 7 years and not once have I been refused like I was from this place. They treated me like a Minor, and offended my friend I was with. I shouldn't leave an establishment thinking that I should have left my friend in the car. Your worried Im going to pull for them? Who the hell is stupid enough to bring the person they are pulling for into the store with them? I am just beyond offended. I have been paying a mortgage for 5 years and living away from my parents for 10+. You have lost me as a customer permanently.

Went in to buy one bottle and pop and refused away because 1 of us who wasn’t even buying anything didn’t have an ID and carrying the pop (which apparently you need an ID for) been there twice, terrible service both times will never be back. Found the things we need for way cheaper and way nicer staff!

Yesterday I had the worse experience at Sobeys Liquor, At check out the cashier ( Jessica) asked for ID and I gave it to her immediately but she did not even look at it and asked for my wife's ID too. My wife who is 33 did not have any ID at the moment. The cashier got rude and aggressive and shout at us to leave the store!!!! That was humiliating, she did not even wait for 1 sec for us to bring the ID from our car. She insulted us in front of the whole store costumers and staff. In my experience, Sobey's liquor staff are so nice and her coworkers can testify what happened. When I asked her name She told me that I am manager...! Anyway, she ruined our last night and it was my wife's birthday.. We are so sad.
