5 stars today. I'll let you in on a wee secret - the Liquor Hutch usually stocks the best rum I've ever tasted. 20 year old 'Dictador' from Columbia. It's a dark rum and the smoothest I've tasted on 4 continents! Good location near Costco too. Recommended!

As someone who frequents liquor stores, and seen pretty much all Alberta has to offer, I was often seeing this name pop as as having rare releases from the liquor connect site when I was looking for rare whiskies or craft spirits. Often it would be your usual suspects like Willow, Kensington or some other 5 stores and then this store. As such, I was always thinking of checking it out since it seem like a cool store, so it just happened I was in red deer so I had to stop and see it for myself, and sure it did not disappointed. I saw so many one of a kinda products and some cool vintages and things I had never heard about. Prices were very competitive, and service was helpful and down to earth, never felt talked down to like it has happened in other places. Overall if you need anything and think, man where will I find this, think no further as this store probably carries it. Also, if you need something at a good price you are also in luck.

This store kicked a the peaceful Albertans First group out of their parking lot after promising the location... because of ONE complaint. Since you obviously don't support the majority of Albertans, this Albertan will never support you!

We just happened across this little gem on our way through Red Deer. Amazing reception as soon as I entered the store. The staff are incredibly friendly! Will definitely be a destination from now on…sure wish they were in my hometown.

Quick in out, ;). They had a ton of selection! Didn't have mission hill but if the locals don't buy can't say there would be a reason to stock the better wine, ha. I will be stopping in at this location whenever heading south for camping or work.

Typically I would not put a review on the web - especially not a negative one; however, I did post a negative review about the Liquor Hutch after my husband and I were treated in a way that left us feeling a little indignant. To my surprise, I got a FB message from Andrew who is the manager there asking me to come in and that he would like to make amends and offer me a bottle of wine. Well I met Andrew today and found the experience quite refreshing. Andrew wanted to know the details of our earlier visit and apologized saying that he appreciates our business and thanked me for bringing the issue to his attention. Genuine concern for your customers' experience...you don't get better customer service than that! Thanks again Andrew - you remain our favourite specialty liquor store to support...????
