A lot of people have a favorite pub or restaurant... Well this is my favorite liquor store. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and just make you comfortable. Once you thought this place couldn't get any better, surprise!! Cheapest price in town hands down! I live on the exact opposite side of town and will happily make the commute. I hope ghly recommend going in to experience the best!

???? ???? Does NOT honor mask exemptions. As I approached this store on November 30, 2020, I watched a Canada Post worker enter and exit the store. Upon entering the store myself I was asked by the owner(who was NOT wearing a mask) if I had a mask. I told him that I do not wear a mask for medical reasons. He said that if I do not wear a mask then he could get in trouble. He then offered me a mask. I once again told him that I am unable to wear a mask due to medical reasons. I was asked to leave the store due to my inability to wear a mask and his fear of getting in trouble and so I left. Bylaw 3656/2020 provides an exception for people who are unable to wear a face covering for medical reasons in order to prevent people with disabilities from being discriminated against. Even though the owner himself along with another gentleman who was also in the store(I believe that he was an employee) weren't wearing any sort of face covering, the owner expressed that he didn't want to get in trouble for my lack of face covering. Even after reaching for a mask to give to me, he did not put one on himself or ask the other man to. The only person that I witnessed wearing a mask was the Canada Post worker. So I'm not sure why the owner would be this concerned about my inability to wear a mask while he was having a face to face conversation with the other man while both were unmasked. The Co-op Liquor store in Timberlands on the other hand DOES honor mask exemptions for disabled people without discrimination.

Super Liquor selectively enforces mask laws and does not enforce capacity laws. This tiny store was lined up to the rear when I walked in. They yelled at me to leave because I was not wearing a mask but there was no room to walk around the store anyhow with all of the people packed into it. Whoever is in charge here is having their workers ignore social distancing and capacity limits for COVID-19 but enforcing masks. Whoever is in charge here is not in compliance. If you are going to have your workers enforce the mask laws you must consider the mask laws in their entirety which includes exemptions for people with medical problems where they can not wear a mask. And what happened to capacity limits and social distancing?

In reply to this business' discriminatory approach to mask exemptions for disabled people, you clearly need to at least read the mask ByLaw before you try to haphazardly enforce it. You will not "get it trouble" for someone who is exempt not wearing a mask. There are some exemptions under the approved bylaw including: • children under nine years old • those who are unable to place, use or remove a face covering safely without assistance • those with an underlying medical condition, mental concern or disability, which inhibits their ability to wear a face covering • those who are eating/drinking • people engaged in an athletic or fitness activity • those engaged in heavy and physically demanding labour • caregivers who are providing care or assistance to a person with a disability in circumstances where the caregiver wearing a face covering would hinder the ability of the caregiver to care for or assist the person with the disability • a person employed in a public place or operating the public vehicle where the person is separated from others with an installed screen, shield or barrier; Further to the above legislation this is another bit of information before you there are laws prohibiting you overt discrimination against disabled peoples. The Alberta Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination based on physical and mental disabilities. What is a disability? Physical disability is defined in the Act as any degree of physical disability, infirmity, malformation or disfigurement that is caused by bodily injury, birth defect or illness. I would also add you are not a doctor, particularly not this person's doctor and it is not your place to assess someone'w medical needs or exemptions, in fact legally it is your responsibility to accommodate person with disabilities. In terms of the patron's moods you are also not a psychologist so to assess a persons mood is clearly not your place. In fact, it seems to just be a way for you to smear the person you just overtly discriminated against. Maybe before you try enforce laws that you have no authority to enforce, take the time to actually read the Bylaw or call women who has. Edited due to Owner's reply: My name is not Mark and I did not write another review and again clearly you are intent on slandering this individual that you have discriminated against. What I am is professional in Human Services with 25 years of experiences working with persons with disabilities in this community and I am familiar with there various ways people such as yourself marginalize and discriminate against persons of different abilities. Clearly, you are not willing to put any effort into inclusiveness in your business to include disabled persons. In this review I have actually included the city of Red Deer Mask Bylaw exemptions that clearly you didn't care to read, this makes it even more important you NOT enforce laws in Red Deer that you do not possess the education, or authority to enforce. It is clear that you have a blatant discriminatory practice against disabled persons and if they try to advocate for their rights you will slander them. I do not recommend any person frequents your store.

They get you that small town feeling, they remember you and are always in a good mood, I have no idea how they do it. It’s also always the same people working , that’s some dedication.They always put a smile on my face ,even if they can’t see it under the face mask. I called/went to so many liqour stores in red deer/Innisfail and was unable to find anywhere that carried any at all.... I called super liqour and they had some.
