Lang has been producing amazing wines for a long time. The Marechal Foche is out of this world! Stellar products and very welcoming staff.

Mo Ben (StateOoned)

Really nice view and great tasting experience. They have a boxed wine! Which is really good, and great value. Was nice to try a Foch as well.

Beautiful Location. Friendly and helpmate service. Great selection. Reasonable prices. My favorite winery in the Okanagan. Al of our relatives and friends agree with me. Highly recommended.

Gary Agnew

One of the most fantastic wineries with knowledgeable staff and some of the best red wines we discovered in the area.

Every year while camping in the Okanagan we go there for wine. It's our favorite!!!

This place is not welcoming. They were very rude. Not recommended if you are looking for tasting since negative energy is what you get.

We went there this noon but it was not a pleasant experience for us. We were interested to see this winery because the history and its reputation sounded impressive. So when we arrived there, there were no other people outside but my husband and I. We followed the protocol of staying in a designated spot under the umbrella and even sanitized our hands and waited for a staff member to meet us outside. While waiting, there was this white couple who arrived and they stood at the main entrance to wait too. After a few minutes, a guy just emerged and greeted the white couple and asked them if they were waiting for a chance to be accommodated and they said yes.The guy gladly asked if he could offer them glasses of wine while waiting and immediately left after their short conversation. The guy did not even bother to talk to us considering that we were standing on the right spot and we were there first. Whether it was intentional on his part or not to not to talk to us, he made us feel that we were not worthy of his attention. And since we felt discriminated against, we didn't think twice and instantly walked out and left the premises. It's a good thing that there were other good, perhaps, even better wineries that were around, and we were given a warm accomodation by its employees and owners. I'm a wine lover and I'm taking this wine tour seriously because I plan to write something about the wines of Naramata Bench because I'm really proud of the B. C. wines. It's too bad that we had to skip this winery because of discrimination, but leaving the place was the right thing to do. We may not be a significant client but still, we deserved a nice and civil treatment. That guy may not represent all the people who work in this vineyard, but I would not recommend any people of color to visit this place if this is the kind of person that they would have to deal with.

Super friendly and knowledgable staff. The wines are delicious and a great value. Beautiful location that's easy to get to!! Well worth the trip!! A real gem!

One of my favorite wines in Naramata. The red selection is truly a destination to not miss. This years Merlot and Foch are delightful to the senses. Tasting room is well laid out for Covid-19 tasting. I did a walk up early in the day, on a weekday as well. Otherwise it's best to make a reservation. Enjoy

I had great experience at Lang Vineyards, tasting performed by the owner. She told us their family story moving from flower business AB into making wine BC. Very personable experience with great wine. This is a small winery that does charge tasting fee which is waived with purchase. I got a bottle of Marechal Foch, very good! Yes, you are correct! My apologies. I will visit Lang Vineyards to refresh my memory and leave correct feedback :)

Taylor Reid

Friendly staff. Tried both whites and reds. Marechal Foch is my favourite - estate bottled, unoaked, pleasant aromas and flavours of figs and leather, creamy mouth feel.

With a name like Lang, you just know there’s some guy at the winery with that last name. There must be, or rather there better be, some guy named Lang that started this whole operation. First or last, doesn’t matter—it would be awesome if it were both, like the founding dude was Lang Lang. That’s even better than Duran Duran. In actuality, there were two Langs—the founder selling it to a descendant. The website is unspecific as to the relation—if a coincidence, that would be…weird. My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. Of those, one was a towering crimson monolith emblazoned with the symbol of Canadian patriotism…it’s a maple leaf, not a beaver, you philistines. It claimed to be the original Canadian Maplewine (the bottle, not the beaver). I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Many places would be content to sell you maple syrup or even maple icewine syrup (don’t believe me? Every Canadian tourist shop sells both of those), but nothing with actual alcoholic content. This is a thing a beauty. I know I should discuss the winery, but this is why you go to a winery. Well, that and the view, which is amazing—they were even offering tours that day, one of the few places that did so. I acquired the red bottle, a blend of Merlot and Canadian Maple Syrup. They claim hints of light sherry and port. It’s astounding; at least the tasting was. My bottle remains unopened. I know, holding back, probably for that special occasion, harkening back that quote from Sideways. To open a red Canadian Maplewine—that’s the special occasion. Alas, I slipped it back into its box and continued writing this review. The actual winery is higher up on the bench, boasting one of the best views in the region. It’s a far better sight that day than the insane tasting room. Lang must draw crowds as, given this time of day and month, the tasting toom was packed. And with kids. Kids! Obviously, the crowd won’t affect my review, but who brings kids on a wine tour? Dogs, sure, I see dogs everywhere. I think they’re mandatory. Kids bounce off the wall demanding stimulation while ignorant parents sip wine. The actual tasting room was slightly bland, so we didn’t linger. However, the wines more than made up for it. The red maplewine was not the only bottle purchased, the other being a 2014 Marechal Foch, a rare varietal for the region. It also remains unopened by this writing. Lang claims to possess the oldest Foch grapes in the region. Really old Fochs. Old Fochs. Lang is a recommendation and worth the detour off Naramata road. It’s just up from Mocojo, another great recommendation. Ignore the lackluster name and snap a few shots of the view. Just go early to avoid the crowds.

The tasting room host was friendly, knowledgeable and very patient with a somewhat rude young lady who interrupted our tasting with questions, negative product comments etc. The hostess answered her questions and tried to set a few of her misperceptions to rest. During all of that distraction she was attentive to us, continued our tasting and greeted several new walk-ins looking for a tasting. Her professional manner, friendly repartee and passion for the product convinced us we wanted to become members of the wine club. The young lady was not charged for her tasting which was generous given her negative vibe and attitude. The hostess made sure the young woman left with nothing tangible to complain about. We enjoyed the various original paintings on the tasting room walls. They were mostly wine country themed and reasonably priced. There was no restaurant on site to dilute the 'wine experience' which was fine with us, just people passionate about their wine. All in all a lovely experience. As new members we will certainly be back but even without membership we would have returned. It was just that good.

Nicole Klementis

Excellent wine and great service on 8/19/21.

Mina Demian

Great experience at Lang Vineyard! JJ was incredible and provided us with a fantastic tasting.

Peter Android

excellent wine and nice atmosphere

My Husband and I visited Lang Winery with family over Easter and had such a wonderful time. Leanne was amazing and it was very obvious that she does not work there just to make a sale. I loved her enthusiasm as we sampled our wine! She made it an experience rather than just a sale. We purchased many different wines and they were such a hit back at home that we already need to place another order! I can't wait until we can go back to BC!

Alycia W.

Excellent experience The wine was so good and the tasting and staff was so pleasant

Lisa Olesen

I can't honestly say how disappointed I was! I have made wine from Saskatchewan grown grapes that the wine have tasted considerably better! The people I had been tasting with came up with an accurate description of acidic start with a grandpa's barn inside your mouth feel.

Great wine at a decent price point. Friendly service with lots of information. Highly recommended!

Delightful experience! Patrice was very knowledgeable and gracious, and the tastings were very generous with no tasting fee. The patio was quiet and scenic, and the wines very unique. The Foche is one of a kind. Highly recommended. We will be back. Merci beaucoup!! PS. Not so sure about the accusations re. racism. When we visited there was a very knowledgeable, non-white gentleman offering tastings at the tasting counter.

H Isabella (CanadianTraveller)

If I could use zero stars I would. My husband and I went into this winery and were completely ignored by both staff members doing the tastings. We went to ask to taste and the lady just walked away to some other guests that were there on a tour. Very disappointing for such a highly rated winery.

Shelley Nienhuis

Very nice atmosphere with plenty of local art and gifts on site. The wine tasting was very impressive and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I left a wine club member with six bottles of wine : )

One of our favourite wineries! Delicious wines - great choice! Liz was a lovely hostess, helpful and explained everything so well. Historic Lang Vineyards! Carefully covid safe and NO TASTING FEE! As well as our for home purchases we bought a bottle to drink with our bag lunch on their patio with one of the best views in the valley! Thank you Lang Vineyards for being so special!

The Marechal Foch is excellent. It is my son's favourite. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Mike has gone out of his way for us. Thank you.

Our host JJ was a lot of fun, taught us a little about how to taste, & gave us a lot of samples. The wine was awesome too.

Very good Vine at affordable prices

Jacob Slovak

One of the best tastings in Naramata. Chris was generous and friendly, and their prices were reasonable and the wines original. Cheers!!!

My wife's favourite winery. Every wine appeals but her favourite is the Marechal Foch. Legacy Riesling is killer, too. I tend to the more fruity and sweet side, so Farm Reserve Riesling was dancing in my mouth. I am a beer guy but this place is good.

Jennifer Peters

Lang vineyards is a must-stop when wine touring in Naramata. Their wines are lovely, and their staff are even more fantastic. Chris led us through a thorough yet fun tasting, and was so helpful and patient as our group ordered many cases of wine to bring home!

We had a wonderful afternoon privately touring the vineyard & wine cellar with Mike. It was awesome - thank you guys! Learned all about what makes Lang's wines so fantastic & why the vineyard itself is unique. It's legacy, it's vine history & the attention to detail that goes into making their fine wines. Tasting near-harvest Marce Foch grapes straight from the vine was an experience we will never forget. We've been enjoying the wines we purchased immensely & cant wait for our next visit!

Excellent wines and casual atmosphere. I don't recall how I discovered Lang vineyards but I visit every time I'm in the Okanagan area.

I went on a Naramata wine tour with 9 girls and this was our first stop on the tour. I was very happy it was, because the staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely visit again!

Carol Fielding

The staff was very friendly and their tasting room has a beautiful view.

Jennifer Belcher

The older gentleman who served us during our tasting came across as actively unhelpful and even a little bit hostile. Our group is curious and after asking a few questions and getting indignant responses from our host, we just sat quietly and drank our wines. This isn’t what we come to Naramata for - we like to have a conversation with the employees about the thing we’re all passionate about, which is wine. Additionally, the wine just wasn’t very good. The whites all had a funk to them that made it hard to taste any of their good properties. The reds were better, but still not amazing. I feel bad saying this, but we won’t be coming back here. There are dozens, possibly even hundreds, of other wineries very close to here and there’s no reason to return to one that leaves you feeling less-than-awesome about your experience.

Erin S

We liked the the wines so much we bought a box of 6 mixed wines and signed up for their wine club.

Ariel Smith

$5 wine tasting fee which is normal. Staff were adequate but my partner and I perceived them as a bit...snooty and stand offish. It was about 45 minutes before close and we thought it perhaps had to do with that although we were only there for 15 minutes. Wine was not very good at all. Disappointing.

Cornelia

(Translated) Incredible service and staff! Lots of wines and very good !! (Original) Incroyable service et personnel! Beaucoup de vins et très bons!!

Great experience. Friendly staff and great tasing wines! They convinced my wife and I to purchase our only bottle of desert wine this trip... it's amazing.

Great people, location and wine! The whites this year are fabulous!

Excellent experience! We stopped for a wine tasting on our last day in Naramata and had the best time! Great wine, great people, amazing view! 2 cases of selected wines later, we were on our way back home! Can't wait to receive my first wine club membership in the fall!

Marikym Hébert

Dropped in again with our friends from North Vancouver and they love the wine and the art work!

Marechel Foch 2015 - gorgeous wine! Mike knows his stuff in the wine shop.

Lang has been one of the vineyards we visit every year on our wine tour. It is one of the oldest vineyards in the Okanagan

Although this vineyard is slightly off the beaten track, it is well worth the the 1km drive up the road. Not only is their view breathtaking, but the tasting room is bright & clean as well. Their staff member, JJ, is very knowledgeable and made our familiy’s experience that much better. We highly recommend the Bravo White and Marechal Foch. Their price point is lower than almost all other vineyards we have visited too - Regretting only having purchased 3 bottles of their amazing wine. Thank you, Lang Vineyards!

carol nelson

Wonderful wine tasting experience. Great wines!

Werner Strub

We would like to pass on our compliments on your outstanding 2005 Marechal Foch which we sipped, with much delight, this evening before, during & after dinner. It really blew our socks off! So flavourful, well rounded, smooth plus all kinds of deep rich cherry flavours. Keep up the good work! Thank-you so much! Bob n Sue

Our host Natalie advised it would be a 10 minute wait due to Covid-19 protocols. Reservations are recommended. She was kind enough to provide us with a nice white wine while we waited on the patio that overlooks the lake - lovely. The tasting room was very nicely laid out. Of the wine we tasted 2019 Sparkling Belle Blanche was very refreshing. 2018 Viognier quite remarkable and I'm not a huge white wine fan. I bought a bottle. The best red for us was the Marchel Foch. Parking is very good.

Jim M

Love the Marechal Foch wine!! Great staff and a great experience everytime. Have been coming here for over 5 years now :)

Warrant

Great view. Great wines. Fantastic staff. Great outdoor tasting patio

Natalie C.

One of my favorite vineyards. I will make a point of returning every time I am in the area. Very good wine and very knowledgeable staff. The buildings are older, but at the time of this review there are renovations in progress. Not as it matters as the wine speaks for itself. The 2018 Marechal Foch is quite possibly my favorite red of all time now. The only bottle I purchased 2 of all day as I knew I would kill one that night with a steak. And I did. And it was awesome.

David Meunier

Came here as the second stop on a day of wine tasting. The woman hosting the tastings seemed incredibly annoyed that we were even there from the very beginning. No hello or greeting, would pour a wine and then walk away to stand at the other side of the counter. Really wanted nothing to do with us at all. A member of our party asked how old a vine was for a particular grape, and the woman said "We don't grow them here" and then immediately walked away again and ignored us. Some of the wines were okay, but even if we loved them we still wouldn't buy them due to the horrible customer service. Much better wineries (Nichol, Joie, Bench 1775, Red Rooster, Hillside, Lake Breeze and many more) in Naramata - I would skip this one.

A. Haluschak

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Lang today. One of the best I’ve had. Beyond the awesome and wide range of wines to taste, Chris provided a friendly and personable experience throughout our tasting. He deserves the recognition and appreciation. Beyond our tasting, we spent some time taking pictures to which he brought an extra taster of their bubbly. There were other individuals on the property who shared the same friendly, charismatic characteristics and treated us with nothing but fun and kindness. Thank you SO much for making our day! We will be back :)

Madeleine Levine

Best wines in Naramata, one of the OG wineries in the Okanagan, never been then shame on you

We always make a point of stopping in at Lang Vineyards when we are in Naramata. Love, love, love their Riesling! Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Check out their wine club--it's a great deal!
