Authentic people making great wine.
Leah made us feel very welcome, and was knowledgeable and took the time to go into detail about their wines. Their passion and creativity showed through in their ports and blends, so many good options. We had an amazing tasting experience, and even though the prices were a little higher, the boutique and personalized experience made it totally worth it. We left with good wines and even better memories.
Delicious hand crafted wine, and a lovely couple. Best winery we visited on this trip, can't wait to come back.
What a lovely place! They make you feel like they have all the time in the world for you and it so great to see an authentic and not pretentious family run winery in action. And the wine is also amazing which also helps!
We had such a wonderful time at Exultet. Gerry and family are clearly very passionate about wine - and it shows through their delicious product and gorgeous property. What an experience!!! People drive from far and wide for their award winning wines - and for good reason. We look forward to many more years of visits, and to enjoy the vintages year after year
We were surprised at the quality of wine at this winery. We have been to many wineries across Ontario and the USA. The care and love put into these wines are obvious. They rival many napa wineries. I loved that they not only had your standard selection of wines but also offered unique wines such as the apple wine and maple wine. Thanks for such a nice experience
This is a must everytime I come to the county. Leah is so knowledgeable and patient, and clearly has a passion for her craft. The white pinot is amazing, and I just picked up some fantastic port! Thanks to Leah for always making our trips worthwhile.
Loved the apple wine
Exultet easily makes the best wine I have tried in the County. Their tasting room is run out of a small unassuming shed. The winemaker is passionate about his products and justifiably so. The chardonnay and pinot noir are exceptional. Their wine is at a fairly high price point averaging anywhere from 30-50 dollars a bottle. It is worth every penny.
Exultet Estates for me I feel is one of the best wineries if not the best. The wines they produce year in year out are superb. The vintner is great to chat with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Canada. Fortunately or unfortunately i know from experience of trying them all. From west coast to east coast these guys are the best. Just need to buy before they sellout. Enjoy.
This is a great place with amazing wines. I love their Pino Noir. You also get a good education on wine not just an average tasting. They really care.
A condescending, belittling experience. The wine that were offered on the tasting range from unimpressive to undrinkable.
Great winery! The wine makers put so much TLC into the wine that every sip of wine you taste, you can appreciate the hard work and craft put onto it. I would say all the wines were consistently high quality and produced only in small batches. Highly recommended!!
Fantastic wines produced by this family run winery. As a guest, it's always a treat to talk with the producers and our tasting involved a visit from the whole family playing their various roles. The passion and love put into each bottle is apparent as they are some of the best wines in the county without a doubt. Pricier, but that comes with the craftsmanship and should be expected. We didn't have a reservation but Lia was happy to help and serve us a wine tasting flight followed by a glass of wine which we enjoyed at a picnic table on the property. Bathrooms were available onsite, as well. Thanks to the family for working hard to make the adjustments to allow for our visit during the first weekend open in Covid 19 summer.
We had a quite unique experience at Exultet Estates. Great hospitality, excellent variety of domestic wines, deep knowledge of wine producing and time to share it with their customers. Will definitely be back.
Amazing wines enjoyed in a beautifully relaxed setting. I love that the owners greet and serve you. Very nice people who made everyone feel welcome and told the story of each of their wines. Would definitely go back!
Wines are excellent!
Beautiful Apple wine, must try! All county grown and developed which is wonderful
Unfortunately we had a less than wonderful experience in our visit here, and likely won't be back. When we first walked in, the person behind the counter launched into a speech they seem to have given a thousand times before. Seemed to have little interest in us or the subject, and just wanted to get through the speech. Most disappointing though is that the first minute and a half were spent telling us how all the other wineries in Prince Edward County are no good, import their grapes from Niagara, and are no match for their wines. If your product can't stand on its own, trying to drag down you colleagues is a really bad look. As regular visitors to PEC, we're well aware of the history of winemaking here, and how many wineries *used to* import most of their grapes. Today, a visit to the vast majority of wineries in Prince Edward County will make it quickly clear that's no longer the case, with most wines now being estate grown in the County. The wines themselves were okay. Not bad, but certainly not anything special for PEC. The Pinot Noir being tasted (only 1 of 3 was available for tasting) was fine, but had little body, and didn't stand out. The icewine was actually pretty good, comparable in quality, but unique in taste compared to the more readily available Niagara icewine. All of the above would have got this winery 3/5 stars. We landed at 2 because the prices were completely off the charts for PEC wine. If you've got a following and can sell your product at that price then fine, but if you're operating a tasting room and trying to bring new customers and fans in, especially in a less known wine region like PEC, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Literally and figuratively.
Beautiful property, knowledgeable wine maker, excellent tour. Owner was incredibly friendly and personable, also gave good suggestions for other things to do in the area. Well worth the price in my opinion. A very memorable experience, would recommend.
(Translated) Charming owner but his wife speaks negatively about the vineyards of the region. We arrived happy and left frustrated. It’s a shame because their company deserves all our appreciation and admiration. (Original) Propriétaire charmant mais sa conjointe parle négativement des vignobles de la région. Nous sommes arrivés heureux et sommes sortis frustrés. C’est dommage car leur enterprise mériterait toute notre appréciation et admiration.
I learned so much from the operator! She clearly loves her work and wasn't pretentious at all toward a novice like me. Also uses 100% local grapes, which I learned is a rarity among Prince Edward County vineyards (most of them blend PEC grapes with Niagara grapes). Has some really unique wines, like an "orange" wine (white wine made with skins on for a little while) and some sweet wines like port and ice wine. A little pricey for me, but great experience - worth the visit for sure.
Expensive tasting for small pours. Nice family.
Beautiful seating area, well spaced out for a low risk glass or tasters. Not a connoisseur but loved the wines I had.
A visit to Exultet estates yields more than a wine tasting - you will walk away with an education that colours all other tastings you will take in the region. Go here first! This was the seventh winery we visited on the weekend and we had already accrued a dozen bottles of various wines without being equipped to ask the questions that mattered. As a bonus, the Exultet wines are exquisite, particularly the Blessed Chardonnay, which is the best Canadian Chardonnay I have ever tasted.
It was excellent, very informative of the great tasting wine's they make
Amazing. Thank you so much for the great stories and the tasting. Everything was just so good. We will be back for sure! Ps : the pinot noir is insane.
Good quality wine come with a price, great experience.
amazing wines and wonderful people. a wealth of knowledge. highly recommend.
Loved all 6 of the tastings we chose. The Blessed Chard is hands down the best in the county and reigns supreme and the apple port is delicious to the nose and the palate. The owners were kind and knowledgeable. For anyone searching for variety and incredible wine this is the winery you must have at the top of your list.
This winery has a relatively small tasting room, and some great award-winning wines! We had lots of fun at our tasting here.
My boyfriend and I visited numerous wineries in Prince Edward County, but Exultet by far has the best wines in the region. Their Chardonnay is one of the best we’ve tried. The owners (Leah and Jerry) were the most welcoming and interesting people, with lots of stories to share with us. They have lots of wines to chose from during the wine tasting - we chose 5 tastings for $15. This is a must visit place, their wines are top quality. Can’t wait to go back next year!
Best wine in the region! You can tell the owners are passionate about their craft and are very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely stop by if you are in the area!!
We drove about 40 minutes out of the way for this winery. I had read plenty about it, and was referred to it by another vineyard owner. It’s a cute small setup, the vineyards are far away from tasting, and the bathrooms were clean. There was only one small group there when we arrived. No one greeted us, rather the owners were unite rude and standoffish. This places really lacks hospitality, and service. The wine was pretty good, but everyone in our party regretted the drive to a vineyard with very ungrateful and unpleasant owners. We will not be returning, nor would we recommend this place to anyone we know. There are so many other wineries in the area that are happy to have guests.
Great wines and very passionate owners. We enjoyed the tasting, and the wines are very good - however, we were off-put by the owners who spent more time telling us why Sandbanks and other “big label” wineries are “bad”, rather than speak to their own products.
Small vineyard making excellent wines! Make the trip!! These wines are clearly a labour of love :)
The best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the region! Don't take my word for it- They've won multiple gold awards. Give it a taste!
Very unassuming spot that pleasantly surprised! While the wines are costly, they are some of the best we found in the county: the Pinot was fantastic, and we bought several of the White Cru. Staff was knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions.
