Laid back and chill bar for having some wine and appetizers. Stay away if there's a Redblacks game though, place turns into a pub with drunk fans standing around drinking beer, definitely ruins the atmosphere. I guess it's good for business but they really need to not let people crowd into the place unless they have a table/seat at the bar.

This is a beautiful gem in the heart of the glebe. The atmosphere is great, the staff is kind and attentive. Try the steak sandwich it's amazing! I'm coming back tomorrow.

Very cool little place. Sort of out of the way from the main street so it has a bit of intrigue to it. The decor is cool, with a combination of cozy living room and robots? (you'll see if you go). Plus the music selection was perfect for the mood. The wine list is well rounded with some great cocktails and liquors if you're not big on wine (I recommend the pink lemon spritzer). The menu is comprised of a number of staples as well as other dishes that change depending on available produce. I think the prices of some menu items are a bit high, but I got the charcuterie and it was a great value for the portions and quality. All of that being said, I do find it a bit annoying that they don't seem to have their cafe menu posted anywhere.

Yesterday we were looking for a nice pub with a nice patio in Glebe for dinner, we ended up going to 4th. Avenue Wine Bar & Cafe. What a huge mistake!!!!!! Until I asked to the waitress our table didn't get cleaned. Surrounding was really bad, they didn't even care to make it nice and clean. We were hungry so we got our drinks and ordered bread and oil. 35 minutes later I had to go inside to remind her about the bread. She stopped talking to the guy at the bar and said "it won't take too long"; Well after 35 minutes waiting you just want to hear "I am sorry I forgot, I will bring it over right away. 10 minutes after we finally got the bread (just the bread), but the waitress asked us "didn't you get your oil yet?" and went back inside to bring oil. After waiting that long you're hoping at least fresh warm bread, but no chance getting it. We ordered salad and meatballs so we could share, there were only 3 slices of zuchini and top of them three meatballs on the plate. When we finished our meal, we were glad that it was over, the waitress I guess heard our conversation that we weren't happy with the service from A to Z, she didn't charge us the bread ($3) lucky us.... But when she was clearing the table she dropped the knife on me, I opened my legs and it fell to the ground. My boyfriend was telling me that how lucky I was, we didn't eat steak. Over all, we were glad that it wasn't a special occasion for us, otherwise service and the food would have definitely ruined it for us. Definitely next time "NO WAY" for us! If you don't like pricey, poor service, not so good food don't go!!!! I don't even want to give 1 star!!!

We have date nights here super often because they have endless options for Gluten allergies plus have great wine selections! It’s a great place for a nice date night or get the booth for a nice group of friends!

Disappointed in the service! We sat outside and menus arrived. Drinks were ordered and delivered... so far, so good. Drink glasses go empty and no one shows up. After about 10 minutes, I had to go in and tell them I want to order and when I got to the bar, all the servers were chatting among themselves. After I got one's attention, a server comes out a few minutes later. We order a new round of drinks and asked about the charcuterie board. She had absolutely no interest in answering. She held her hand and made a little circle to indicate portion size and could NOT contribute any recommendations or explain what else accompanied the board once you selected either cheese or cold cuts! The second server saved the day and made this rating a 3-star instead of one! Management needs to be aware of this because there are places that compete for my business dollar...and I still left a 15% tip to wife's disappointment!

All of the food we were served was delicious and notable. We had the sausage and mushroom pizza, and meatballs. The pizza was a thin crust with many vegetables, all of which complimented each other well. The meatballs were delicious. We sat on the back Patio, which has a tree growing through the middle of it. Great overall experience, you need to check this place out.

I love this place, it's the best option for wine bar in the Glebe, many different options to pair your wine too. Dessert wines and liquor were also available (good options too). The Heritage house with its different inside/outside areas is a great spot to enjoy your day.

4th Avenue wine is a great local sophisticated wine bar but I live in Kanata so you don't have to be a local. We love there service and food but their wine is really good. The fact that a glass a wine would be the same price if I buy a bottle is great!!! We are lucky to have a great place like 4th Avenue and I love supporting local business!!

World class cities strive off of world class offerings. 107 Fourth had decadent foods and good port wine. It lacked effort, from kitchen staff, to wait, to bar. On a Wednesday we found excellent late night service and food from Whalesbone and Moonroom (8pm to 1am). 107 Fourth was mediocre at best. Maybe it was Wednesday night staff that killed the mood...

Went here last night for a couple glasses of wine with a friend. We both live in the neighbourhood. The waitress was so rude and stuck up. Barely acknowledged us and when we ordered wine she basically just threw it at us without a word. At the end of the night I had to get up and go to the bar to ask for the bill. The atmosphere and place is great but the staff is not friendly at all. I recommend to the owner to find some friendlier staff as this totally ruined our experience.

The $25 meat and cheese plate is over priced. The Must (another local restaurant), has at least 1.5 to 2 times the cheese and meat we were served. The food and wine were great, the service was good. But I feel ripped off. Before leaving this review, I had a friendly conversation with the manager. She explained the cheese was weighed (1 oz each) and she thanked me for my feedback. After having spent $100 on a bottle of wine and a cheese and cold cut plate, I was expecting a little more from management. Maybe a "How can we make this righ?". My feet will be taking me elsewhere.

One of the most Celiac friendly restaurants I've been to. That staff was amazing, being super tolerant and accommodating with my 9yr old niece and her friend. Almost the entire menu can be done gluten free. The fries have their own fryer, and gluten free bun for their amazing bacon cheeseburger. Not the beat place to bring children, as the kids menu is lacking, but as a wine bar that us to be expected. I cant recomend this place enough. Super easy bus ride from downtown ottawa ( take the #6 or #7).

Went for the first time, and must say it was just ok. Maybe they are known for their wine list alone? But the food was not great especially for the price. I ordered the steak and frits... not again. I dont enjoy skinny fries! And the seasoning of the steak was not dynamic. I am not much of a drinker but my husband is, so maybe that's why I did not enjoy it.
