Our group really enjoyed Jamie’s knowledge and lively description of the wines. We learned about commercial yeast vs wild yeast- how fascinating. It is rare to have the wine maker offer the tasting, it was an old school authentic experience The tasting room is lovely and cozy. I enjoyed all the wines!

(Translated) Very nice winery, delicious wines. Great tasting! (Original) Sehr schönes Weingut, leckere Weine. Tolle Verkostung!

Kristine Schaap

The wine tasting was lovely and only $5 in which you get to try most the wines! The lady guiding my friends and I was very nice. And of course the wines are delightful! Perhaps a bit pricier, but worth it and the experience!

Terri Rousselle

Great atmosphere, great music and the Sangria was delicious!

Jade Tong

Marionette was our first winery last year and made such a strong impression that we left with a case and we came back this year! It is a bit far and out of the way, but it is worth it - especially if it's your first trip out. That said, it's also a bit pricier, so we probably can't enjoy more than a case a year :(

Out of the 5 wineries I have been to in Canada, this place has the absolute best reds I have tasted in Canada! I am not a huge Pinot Noir fan, I primarily like cabs, but even their Pinot is delicious! My favorite is the Pulcinella Reserve which was amazing! Enjoy wine here in a super relaxed atmosphere at $6 a glass or grab a bottle for the road at a good price! I highly recommend any wine lover visit Marionette Winery!

Probably the most informative wine tasting at shuswap. The winemaker and owner spent a long time explaining their vision and their winery. It's a fairly new winery so their own estate wines are not all released yet. That being said his selection of wines are different than the other wineries in the region. The reds are unoaked or slight oaked which are different than most reds from the Okanagan.

This place is a hidden gem. We went for a few wine tastings over the Canada Day long weekend and this place stood out as easily the best of the bunch. The people there knew their wine and explained their wine making techniques and what made them unique in a fun and engaging way. Literally every wine we tasted was magnificent. We ended up buying a mixed case of wine as did our friends! The only problem was keeping it to only twelve bottles! Do yourself a favour and check out this winery. You won't be disappointed.

Great experience! If your driving through, stop for an amazing sample of all the wine they make. Really good quality!

Edward Brown

Astounding, unique wines. True to the style of the grape, and then some. Consider skipping the south okanagan and heading north!

Such a lovely little winery! We really enjoyed a few of their wines. The wine steward who poured our tasting, was friendly and great to talk with.

Craig Smith

Great wine (especially the whites), and a lovely locale to sip your tastings in. It wasn’t even that weird visiting during COVID - they just made sure there was only one family inside at a time and everyone had their tasting outside, which is nicer anyway!

Christine Janzen

Very nice woman presenting the wine, laughing with us, very knowledgeable and good sense of humor. We felt very welcomed. Oh and the wine was good too!

Marsha Goldstein

Stopped by to purchase wine that I previously bought at the market a couple of weeks ago and loved it! Very quaint! Love all their wines.

This was the most educational and interesting wine tour we have ever been on. For the first time, it was clearly explained to us how a wine can include flavours of berries, fruits and even tobacco. Spoiler alert: chemical compounds are created during the fermentation process that are identical to chemical compounds found in other fruits and foods. It'a real thing - not something people make up! Jamie Smith is passionate and knowledgeable about the magic of wine-making and about explaining the principles and results. Also, his wines are delicious. Highly recommended - you will enjoy yourself... and probably learn something too!

I displayed my marionettes in the tasting room in the summer of 2015. Amanda and the rest of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I knew it would be a perfect place to exhibit work. The winery is gorgeous and we definitely enjoyed our wine tastings.

Nikkka82

Nice place to try local wines. Lady at the tasting room is very friendly and helpfull. They also have a gand made soap, natural deodorants and dried lavender for sale.

Mike Baynes

Good atmosphere

Natalie Gallegos

Had a great experience learning a little about the wine making process. The tasting was delightful. Each of the 3 reds and 3 whites were different from one another and special in their own way. Brought home the Pulcinella and the Reisling.

Jerret Perry

Very nice wine that we tried ..... service was horrible ,left after 2nd sample that took 45 minutes to get...

Kirsten McDowell

A lovely winery between Salmon Arm and Canoe. The young man who served out tasting was very knowledgeable. The very small tasting fee was waived as we made a purchase. 7 wines open the day we visited. Lots of outdoor seating, sunny picnic tables and shady bistro seating under the vines. Good Covid protocols in place.

Jaimie Vezina

Beautiful scenery, lovely staff, and wonderful ambiance!

Jacky Butler

After reading the other reviews I expected more from this place. No info on the five wines that were offered to taste, had to ask the young host and didn’t get what I felt was very good explanations. Wine was okay. Bought a couple bottles as we were going to have to pay the $5 tasting fee anyways. Felt the wine was overpriced compared to other wineries in the area that I thought had much better wine and were less pretentious.
