Was a bit busy when we went around noon - overall the wine tasting was a great experience! We were seated outside on the patio, and the server was very friendly and helpful. They also had biodegradable cups for the wine tastings!

First time wine-tasting throughout Ontario & thought that out of all the stops on our tour this one was most exceptional. Set back from the other "popular" stops, you'll find Marynissen -- we walked in to be greeted with an owner behind the counter and another friendly customer. Shared some of his favorites, some specialty wines, and even taught us how to truly enjoy an ice wine. Good conversations, homely/friendly environment. Great range of prices for any budget, not to mention delectable flavors that make you want to bring every bottle back to the States. We'll be back.

The BEST winery we went to on our day tour. Fabulous wines and service.

Terrific service and superb quality wine

I have come out of Marynissen with a strong preference for the more laid back approach to wine tasting. I actually ended up here after being a couple minutes late to a booked tasting at Trius, but I am so glaf they cancelled so that we had the opportunity here instead. They have a lovely patio, besutiful estate right by the grape vines, extremely friendly service and great wine. I can't stop thanking my girlfriend for saving our afternoon by bringing us here!

Beautiful winery and excellent atmosphere. This is my mom's absolute favourite wine! She took me here last summer and we planned to go again this year. Unfortunately we've had to cancel our tasting booking twice due to unforeseen circumstances, but the staff there were super nice and accommodating. They rescheduled our booking with no hassle. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Great service, friendly people, great wine! I went to a few wineries and this is a place I'd consider coming back too.

In January, with a winter storm brewing, is a great time to visit the wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The staff at Marynissen Estates have a warm welcome for visitors. Starting with us, and soon after joined by another brave couple, we experience a good sampling of the gold and platinum brands of their whites and reds. Our wine racks will now be joined by a mixed case of their best. You won't find these in the LCBO. A new presentation area makes the visit enjoyable.

Evan Hallward

Nice winery with affordable, delicious wines. The staff were very friendly, but maybe a bit too comfortable in their interactions with us.

Dan S

Great wine that I can afford!

Dimitri Martin

A little disappointed with the red wine. In French they call it piquette. Their Chardonnay and Bubbly pink is worth the price, but you have to drink it really cold. I remember coming here 10 years ago and buying the bottles 5$ a piece and filling the trunk of my car on my way back to Montreal. It feels like its trying to be something its not. For 25$ a bottle I can get something really good. They should consider that when pricing their wine.

Had higher hopes for the old vines winery.

Came here as part of a self guided wine tour. It was quite busy and nothing about the experience stood out.

Natasha was a great hostess. Took the time to explain all the wines and the history of the area. Wonderful experience not to be overlooked.

Fab wine, quaint winery.

It's just okay if you are doing the wine tour. They don't dive into the history or the wine. You have to really ask a lot of questions. On a positive note, you can choose what wines you actually want to sample

Stopped here as part of our self guided bike tour. Enjoyed speaking with people behind the bar - Mikaela and Nason (sp) were so fantastic. Knowledgeabe, fun and so pleasant to speak with. The wines were pretty good - there wasn't a favourite that stood out for me - but I like a really full bodied red. I did find a lovely bottle of white for my very picky white wine drinker friend. & it's a hit~ Thank you Mikela and Nason~

Eric Courville

Bad experience, bad wine. So many much better options around.

Loved it

This was the last stop of our afternoon bike tour. Its a smaller, quiter place compared to the other wineries. The staff were friendly. Our tour group had 10 people and we were all seated on 2 picnic tables attached to each other. I thought this was concerning since we were sitting so close together and we werent wearing masks for the wine tasting.

Stop by because my friends said they had good red wines. Only offered the cheap stuff in the $20.00 range for tasting. I wanted to purchase some of their older big reds. But, to spend $40.00 for a bottle of Canadian wine I wanted to taste it first. I purchase the majority of my wines from agents......better price for the end user. The lady was rude! I am not a bus tour customer. I actually buy a lot of wine when it's very good. Don't visit here unless you are cheap!!!!!!

OMG, best kept secret@!!! Yummy.

In January 2017 I was invited to share a bottle of their 1999 Cab/Merlot. It was exceptional by any standard. Opened my eyes to aging quality Ontario reds. Good job Marynissen!

A very nice experience there today. We visited a total of three wineries and this one had the nicest wines and very helpful staff.

Staff are quite rude and to be honest, not much to rave about in terms of wine anyways

Try the cab franc late harvest and icewine.

Everyone loved this one. Although we arrived shortly before closing, the staff was most helpful. The wine tasting was enjoyable, and everyone had a good time. It still had the feel of a family run winery. The setting in Niagara on the lake is beautiful. The group liked the wines a lot (we left with a bunch of bottles). The location puts this one at the end of the day for most coming from the GTA. Make sure to leave time in your schedule, it is worth it.

Katrina Truong

One of our fave wineries that isn't sold at the LCBO.

Caroline Wong

Their Cab Fran late harvest tastes very much like the Cab Fran icewine except that it carries a bit tangie after taste which makes it unique. We love it.

Neville Feltham

The bathroom was quite spacious...I felt very at home in it. The rest of the winery was beautiful. My friend drags me here regularly as it is her favorite.

This was the highlight of our trip. We stopped on an afternoon without a reservation and were still welcomed to a tasting. I would still recommend you reserve. We were seated behind the tent (I would actually ask for that table if I were to go back) facing the fields. It was so quiet and beautiful. The tasting was remarkable. The sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly. We left with a box of wine and I know we'll be lifelong fans of this vineyard.

Very friendly staff, good wine and very reasonable prices.

Great white wines. Reasonable prices and not available in the LCBO. Worth a trip to this small winery before it becomes too popular!

I had the pleasure over 15 years ago to visit Marynissen Estate Winery and taste their vintages. The staff was amazing and I purchased 2 bottles of 2001 Merlot and immediately laid them down in my cellar. Today I had the pleasure of opening a bottle after 19 years of aging. With all honesty the wine aged extremely well and was an absolute delight to enjoy with friends over a Prime Rib dinner. Congrats Marynissen on an amazing product that stands the test of time.????????????

Love this spot ! A must visit when in Niagara. Great vibe and staff. Wines are diverse and well priced. If you try only one vineyard in the area, this should be the one.

Joe Trotti

Great winery with selection for everyone.

Mike Risavy

Came here as it was my late father's favourite winery. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They accommodated us, even though it was close to closing time, and provided a delightful tasting experience. While the wine itself is just alright, it punches above its weight for the price point. Among the wines we tried I struggled to think of others from Ontario at their price point that I'd prefer. I suppose that makes Marynissen the best value winery in Ontario. And again, wonderful staff!

Video Coach

Hidden gem. A friend mentioned Marynissen in passing, and since we were driving by with some time to spare before our next tasting reservation, we stopped in. Thankfully there was a table available for us. Roger (the sommelier) was amazing, extremely knowledgeable of the wine, and also of the other wineries in the area, and he definitely made the experience memorable. I would highly recommend Marynissen, but also recommend making a reservation so that you are not disappointed.

One of our favorite places at Niagara on the lake. Erin always takes the time to talk about the wine. Food pairing of the chicken taco was excellent for Sip and Sizzle. This is a top 3 pick in out books, excellent reds.

Sisters-in-Law road trip included a tasting stop here. We three range from dry to super sweet when it comes to wine choices and Rita found something for each of us. She also pointed us to local lunch spot as well as a delightful 3 course dining experience near our hotel at the Falls. She went out of her way to be sure we had a good time during our entire stay. Thanks Rita!

Anne Dickson

This is one of our favorite wineries, we always head there when we are in Niagara for their food parings, Peter was really great and gave us loads of info on the wines, Erin and Nick were there as usual we've been going there for years and love that it is an intimate setting without the big bus loads of tourists. We had the goats cheese crostini with bacon jam, we asked for the recipe for the bacon jam as it was sooo good.

Rudy Andrews

One of the best ice wine makers. Their 2013 ice wine is amazing. When looking at some of their wines they may seem like ther are more money but when comparing the same level of wine from other wine makers Marynissen is lower priced for the better wine. Stock up here! Always great service and the whole atmosphere is more cozy and makes you feel like family.

Elizabeth DB

This was the first stop on our wine tour- and it got us hooked! This winery was amazing! The woman who helped us, Erin, was the best. She knew what she was talking about and you could tel she had as much fun working there as we did visiting and wine tasting (this is where we purchased most of our wine!). The boutique was new, quiet, clean and comfortable. Erin knew everything there was to know about anything we could think to ask questions about. I can’t wait to come back next year

Gota Carmesim

Very nice and kind people. Good wine!

Good afternoon I was wondering if your company sells the food grade plastic totes? Thank you Terri

Had a rushed visit at the end of my 8-wineries Niagara Homegrown Wine Festival mid June 2017. Marynissen offered the best nibble, perch on a bed of sauteed cabbage pan fried right in front of you. Shows you how much they care. Their people are friendly and welcoming. I would have given them better rating if I had the time to taste their wines.

Amy S

Used to frequent this winery quite often, the manager Denny was amazing, as well as the staff (Ruby was the best!) Stopped in here on a trip to Niagara recently and was very disappointed. The wine is still pretty good but the service was terrible. All of the great staff members were gone and the new ones were definitely not as kind, welcoming or knowledgeable as the old staff. Very disappointed. Will not be coming back here.

Taysia Herrmann

Came here as part of a self guided bike tour. The staff was very friendly, which was a big plus. The wines were decent. But nothing really seemed “unique” about this place in comparison to others in the area. It was much more quiet than the others, it seemed people came in for a tasting but there wasn’t much option for sitting outside and enjoying a glass.
