The view is beautiful and the wine is delicious! Kandra hosts a wonderful tasting. Bring cash for a tip though, there's no tip option when paying with a card. Bring your pups and enjoy the beautiful sun soaked patio, or step inside for air conditioned comfort.

One of most secretly located beautiful spots in the South Okanagan!

The wine here is incredible. It is a bit more expensive but it is all done organically and (from someone who doesn't have the most sensitive tastebuds) there was such a difference in these wines vs elsewhere. Their Rhymes With Orange wine was so unique and amazing.

Quite simply the best wine experience I've had in the Okanagan. The owners are passionate and engaging and the wines are flawless. I wish more wineries followed this model of quality and commitment.

Ken Nielsen

Best winery in the Okanagon.

Louisa Bradley

Excellent wines, beautiful view and a lovely owner that guided us through our tasting. A family run gem producing delicious wines! Highly recommended!

Ruth Blackburn

We had a wonderful one on one tasting at this beautiful winery. The wines are all organic and very well done. They are done in traditional methods, and are on the dryer side. Prices are a little higher than some other wineries, but I still feel that they give good value.

Sophie Tilley

Sage Hills delivers in excellent sit down tasting and some Fine organically-grown Wines.

Lovely! Try the Grape Seed Oil!

I can’t speak highly enough of this lovely winery. The views across the lake and their grape vines are breathtaking. Due to COVID restrictions, they are operating a first come first served basis and have a capacity of up to 12 people. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable and made our experience very enjoyable. We left with 3 bottles of wine! Their Field Blend is a favorite of mine. I highly recommend this winery.

Some of the best wines BC has to offer

Todd Gleeson

Apart from the beautiful view and award winning wine the experience was very disappointing. The server was a bit belittling and presumptive about our tastes. That may sound pretentious of me to say but we were in a party of multiple people and they kept saying to us and others that the wines were liked my ‘millennial’. I’m a millennial and I was with a few others and our parents, our parents liked them better. I suppose that complaint may be a ‘you had to be there’ moment, but we felt a bit put down by it. All of the wine was really underwhelming, EXCEPT for the pinot noir. That was the best red wine I have ever had, but it was $60 ($15 off with the tasting). The merlot was quite good so we bought a bottle of that. The server, as I said, was pretentious and seemed to not have time for us. We were waiting forever, which would be fine if it was because of the COVID precautions but it was not. He was up selling another party of customers on the club membership. I understand it’s a business but we were left sitting a long time then had quick explanations, less than an ounce pouring, and long gaps between pours. My party is explaining our server as ‘cold’, and ‘too cool for school’. We were so happy when we drove up to the amazing vista in the parking lot, the beautiful new building, and the gorgeous interior, then felt snubbed with the service. Onto the next winery I suppose! I would recommend just going into buy a bottle of red, but don’t bother going in for a $15 tasting.

From the moment you arrive, you know this place is different. The tasting room has truly one of the most beautiful views, the atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming. If you are lucky enough to have both owners (which we did ) as your hosts you will not be disappointed. Their passion for the wines and the respect they have for the environment is evident throughout your visit. The wines are spectacular! The Syrah will spoil you for all others, the elegantly perfumed Pinot Noir is Burgundian in style and worth it, Rhymes with Orange has a cult following so don't miss out. A tasting fee is removed with purchase. A beautiful experience, left with a case:)

Sage Hills - rising star of the Okanagan wine scene. We've been a big fan of Sage Hills wine for the last four or five years, starting with the Pinot Gris and the Pinot Noir. We love that they are a family run vineyard, produce in small lots, and are fully organic. We were thrilled when they opened their wine tasting room, which has amazing views of Lake Okanagan and gives us a chance to speak to Rick and Toby personally when we visit. You get a wonderful insight into the passion that they bring to their vineyard. They are dedicated to controlling the entire wine making process from farming, pressing, aging and bottling, all on site. And of course the bonus to be able to taste all of the new and exciting wines they have to offer! Sage Hills is, in our opinion, a first class operation and a must stop on your Okanagan wine tour.

Go to place for outstanding Pinot Noir and unique whites that are high end products and have a large tradition of fine winemaking. Make the effort to head here.

Larry Easter

Beautiful view, wonderful organic wine and a family friendly experience! The owners were friendly, knowlegeable and very welcoming. They took the time to answer all of our questions and their process shows a deep respect both for the environment and for their wine.

Kristof Langland

Love this place. Love it. 2nd year in a row. What is this complaining about the tasting fee- buy a bottle...no fee. We buy...alot. The stories are great and so is the veiw.

Michael Ryan

It was absolutely lovely. Reccomend this place, every wine taste great!

Saya Goshinmon

Amazing place, everyone there is passionate about what they do and take pride in the product they are serving. The wine is worth every penny because of the hard work that goes into making it. Beautiful location.

Peter Boyd

Great wine very good story the wine maker tells.

Patrick Dillon

Always a highlight to our annual trip to the Okanagan. Wonderful organic family winery.

I have come here a couple times in my travels. Love coming here at least once every year to experience the great organic wines they offer and the current flavor of thier wines. Always find a bottle or two that I love to purchase and share with my friends and family. The staff are very knowledgeable on how they operate the vine yards and keep it organic. Also they are great at doing the tasting and engaging everyone so it feels like a very personable experience. If you are in the area take the time to give them a try and yes enjoy probably one of the best views of the local area.

We arrived for a wine tasting and when we said we were interested in food as well, Rick directed us to their patio. We had a snack and then went to enter the tasting area, where Rick told us there were groups ahead of us, even though we had been there for over a half hour and arrived before the others. We were told we would have to wait an additional half hour before entering, so we left instead. Charcuterie board was tasty, 2/5 stars.

PERRY O'KEEFE

You can see the love they have for making quality wine. Its definitely a lifestyle they take pride in

Lori Charlebois

Really amazing location! Friendly hostess, and even the owner came out to great us during our tasting. A great experience!

Excellent wine very poor service. Couldn't buy a bottle as the guy running the tasting was so rude!

Sage Hills Vineyard is a Family owned and operated Summerland BC boutique winery extraordinare. Renee and I with friend Steve visited Summer 2017. A short drive into the Winery opens onto spectacular lake, mountain and rolling vineyard vistas. Very cool. The cozy Tasting room’s perched hi atop lake hillside. Our Tasting experience with host Tobe was fun and informative. She explained the concept and process for each wine. A few favorites ; Brut Savage - Everyday happy hour should begin with Sage bubbles. Delicious. Syrah Rose - refreshing flavors we enjoyed and shared with friends this Summer. Lovely to sup. Rhymes with Orange is unique in color and flavorable. One of my chilled favs. Syrah- flavor depth is mysterious. Add to my cellar to drink now or lay down for next year cheers. Sage Hills Pinot Noir winning awards for good reason. Rick your passion and hard work are responsible for creating Sage Hills exceptional organic wines. And with your Family alongside. We highly recommend visiting Sage Hills Vineyard.

We were recommended by friends to visit Sage Hills next time we drove through the Okanagan and this winery blew us away! The wines were all sumptuous and the service was amazing. The stories they told and there attention to detail was unlike any winery that we had visited in the last 7 years .They pour everything they make and all the wines were truly amazing. You will want to buy cases not bottles here. The prices were up there but if you enjoy fine wines then this is a must stop.Best tasting room in the entire valley. We will definitely be back and so will our friends. They also ship for free.

Andrew Lodge

Some of the best wine in the Okanagan! Very informative on explaining the organic wine growing process. I love the fact that you can sit while tasting and take in the view of his vineyard and the lake.

Haven Elliott

Hidden gem! Of all the wineries we visited in the Okanagan region, sage hills was easily our favourite. Their staff were amazing; friendly, knowledgeable and so kind. Their wine is delicious, and the patio has the most amazing view. Don’t miss this one!!

Jaime Rheault

Great experience ,amazing wine and amazing owners... this is by far my new favourite wine.... if they had 10 stars I would click it...

Emily “Em” Williams

Easily the best experience we had at a winery in the area! Friendly knowledgeable staff, delicious wines and one of the patios ever.

Riley Engleson

Rick gave us a very informative , enjoyable wine tasting this afternoon! Highly recommend a stop at Sage Hills on your next wine tour. Thank you so much!!

Sage Hills’ commitment to strict organic practices is commendable. Excellent wine, fantastic view, and an environmental conscience. What more could we ask?

Leah-Deanna Olivier

My husband and I visited this winery last week when we were in Summerland . Although the view was incredible and the wines quite nice, we did not have a warm and welcoming feeling from the host and his wife. We showed up enthusiastically at this highly recommended vineyard, but were greeted with indifference and coolness. When I asked what their story was , the host, I assume to be Rick, tossed a brochure at me and said to read it in there. We enjoyed many other wineries in Summerland and Naramata bench where we had a much better experience than this one and the wines were as good or in many cases better.

ron vaage

Stopped by to taste their wines, very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere.

Slava Maletsky

If you could rate it higher, we would! Great wine, great experience and lovely hosts . My friend and I both purchased the Pinot Noir which is by far the best I have ever had but we are going back tomorrow for the Syrah which was also delightful and we regretted not getting it in the first place. We were happy to be able to try all over their wine at the tasting! Organic which is a plus! A not-so hidden gem for sure!

Brad Unger

We had a great tasting at Sage Hills yesterday. The wines were great and they serve a wide variety. The tasting room and surrounding property are attractive. Our hostess Brooke was great.

Lauren McKay

My husband, daughter and l were out for an afternoon drive and came across this lovely family operated organic winery. Sage Hills is situated on this quaint country road on the hillsides of Summerland. Our server Scott and the owners made us feel so very welcome. We sampled a large variety of their wines and were not disappointed. My favorites were the Merlot and the Rose' which is selling fast! I am so excited to return with family and friends some day to enjoy their wines and to take in the spectacular views again. Thank you Sage Hills for the wonderful experience!

Mark Cameron

Wonderful Tasting Session at Sage Hills on Canada Day! The Host, Brooke, was very informative and took time to explain the concept and processes behind each wine. Great wines and the view from the tasting room is spectacular. Worth your time!

Andrey Schmidt

Pros: Small boutique winery a short way off the beaten path with stunning views of Okanagan lake. At the time of my visit in the summer of 2016 Sage hills impressed with limited production of unique organic wines that capture the Summerland wine region in a unique way; making this winery a must visit on my list. Cons: Sage hills does have a smaller tasting room and limited parking; so try to circle back if there is a bus on a wine tour there.

catherine perodeau

Probably the best experience we've ever had at a winery. The owner Rick, was enthusiastic and friendly and best of all, not a pretentious type. He was honest and obviously cares about his business and the whole industry. Very passionate about organic practices and his wine is incredible. This is a must stop on the bottleneck drive.

Ryan Jones

Amazing wine, and the owner was deeply passionate and informative.

Stephanie

The most unique winery I have been to! This family run vineyard is cozy, welcoming, and a must go to when visiting Summerland. The views are absolutely stunning... and so are the organic wines!! My favourite is the Rhymes with Orange - beyond delicious! The staff are friendly and passionate about their work. I would highly recommend visiting this gem!

Darren Sweet

Hands down our favourite BC vineyard! Every single wine is spectacular. The Syrah, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gewurtz (not sweet...perfect for people who don't like Gewurt!), Rose, Orange wine, Brut and even a Port they call Aft. All meticulously and lovingly crafted. The tasting room is gorgeous and the owners are passionate and uncompromising on quality. It's great fun listening to Rick's stories and description of the way he farms and crafts his wines when visiting the tasting room...very intimate and educational. Super easy to order and it's always delivered quickly.

Brooke Reister

Be careful if you come here, the wines are so delicious you'll want to buy them all! We ended up leaving with 10 bottles! Service was great and the view is next level ???? Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Simon Cho

Fantastic wine and informative tasting, ruined the rest of our wine tour though because nothing else compared with Sage Hill's Syrah.

Tina Dam

Great visit. Catherine was so knowledgeable and took time to explain how they ferment the wines organically and explain all the wines we tried (which were delicious). Hidden gem.

KarpetRydOFunk

Sage Hills never dissapoints. The quality of their wines, the tasting experience and the view are worth the effort to locate this most wonderful winery

Meghan Mothersill

Very nice wines, the reds are grown farther south in Penticton and Osoyoos for the necessary climate, this was a nice surprise! They have a Pinot noir that was exceptional but came with a price tag of $60.00, it was the best one I've tried in the Okanagan. They also have a Rhythms Orange that was outstanding, a Pinot Gris where the skins were left on for a change. A truely special flavor experience, surprisingly smokey. The Aft was also quite a delightful experience with a nibble of dark chocolate. All the wines are grown organically, the tasting was complimentary and we tasted everything on the menu!

Audrey Beatch

Wines were way overpriced, not overly enjoyable, and the guy running the place was pompous and exhaustively boring. Will not be returning.

Jaime Ayres

David Langlois

Truly impressed with the wines I tasted. Family owned and operated; 100% organically grown grapes; traditional, old-world winemaking techniques; and possibly the most stunning location in Summerland all add up to an exceptional experience.

David Evans

Beth Ruest

Great winery! Beautiful views and delicious wine. My poor husband went broke from all the bottles I bought. 10/10 would recommend.

Leanne Stevenson

Nice scenery. All I can say. To taste wine for $20, thank you very much. I'd rather get a bottle of organic sauvignon two miles down the road at local liquor store for less than $15.

Ron Thrussell

The wines are very nice and the winemaker is doing some very cool new things. Made for a dynamic tasting profile. Unfortunately, I have to echo the sentiments of a previous review that we also had very long waits between tastings and less than enthusiastic tasting descriptions as the staff preferred to chat up the club members and upsell the other "non-millennial" guests into the club. And yes, they were actually using that term over and over. We did purchase some bottles and enjoyed the view but the over repetition of the word "millennial" and lack luster service left us wanting more.
