They were rude and unaccommodating. A completely different experience than we had at any other winery. They say their ‘tasting fee is a smile’; I saw little evidence of any smiles!

Ruby Blues offers a very pleasant tasting experience. It's outside but undercover so would be nice regardless of the weather unless really cold. The wine is bright, flavourful and shows off the fun of BC wines without losing complexity. The tastings change over time to allow experiencing the full range of wines. Though not up for tasting today, we bought the Riesling based on experience. The Gewürstamiener was very nice as was the Red Stilleto. 3 more wines to add to the collection.

Andy MacDonald

Wonderful staff, winery and wines. The owner was on site and greeted everyone, great outside tasting area and the grounds are easy and inviting. The wines did not disappoint either.

This is beautiful and cozy winery. Great wine for reasonable prices. Our tasting was done by incredible nice lady, (unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was originally from South Africa). She had great knowledge and make our experience feels special. Beautiful place to stopped by, they even accept us without appointment. And nice wine shop as well with funny socks for sale. Don't miss it!

I believe this winery is owned by red rooster across the street. Staff was professional. Grounds are clean. Wine is cheap and pretty good quality. Worth a visit. They don't have many dry wines at all for Reds. The grounds are clean. They have a small clothing boutique which my wife loved. If ya like sweeter wine it's good. For a seasoned pro you might not be impressed. For someone new for wine tasting it will be nice.

Perhaps my favourite of all the wineries on the Naramata Bench. It is the one winery I take all visitors to experience. The servers are knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The shopping experience is eclectic from the great shoes, pooch products and quirky art finds...but don't forget about the wine. Red or white...it never disappoints.

Hidden treasure (well not really hidden - across from Gehringer) but well worth the visit! Fabulous wines (that actually match their great bottles!). Super friendly owner and welcoming, it was a super hot day so they allowed us to bring our puppy in who also had a great time!. Well worth the stop

Andy Harper

OMG...the wine and the staff are amazing (Tova)...highly recommend it.

Salim Abdelhamid

Very retro decore and friendly staff.

Not sure about the wine but the tourists like me eat up all the marketing. Post war baby boomer love to take pictures with the HAPPY, LOVE and PEACE VW van. Most if not all buy a bottle to take home, some even buy all the wine sampled. Full makks for marketing.

It was busy today but they were very accommodating. It’s a lovely spot with fabulous views. I loved the Gevurtz and the White Stilleto.

ALLYSON Popowich

Amazing winery. Unlike other wineries in this area they don't ask for money at tastings but instead want a smile as payment. They really look after you and tell you about the wine personally, rather than having the visitors read it from a sheet. I like that they build this personal connection with you. Being a smaller winery they definitely make a very homey and lovely impression. The whole place looks so cute with art hanging on the walls and a Volkswagen bus standing at the entrance. On top of the wine, they also sell shoes for women and a few other articles and host events like small art auctions. I'm in love with this place!

Our tasting was very good! Very nice staff and great wine (+ funny names and good location) - I took two of them back to Germany!????

We went to a few wineries on our trip and this by far was the best tasting we had. The woman we did our wine tasting with, Brenda, was so friendly and welcoming. Brenda was absolutely so fabulous, and funny, it really made the tasting. If you're looking for something less pretentious and a little more fun, this is the place to go. Wine was great too!

Brian Tice

An amazing example of the best of white and red wine in BC. Fruity, crisp, dry and delicious Pinot Gris, White Stelitto, Red Stelitto, and Gewurtz.

Awesome little winery, loved their whites and bubbly!

Garry Grochowich

Absolutely the worst customer service I ever experienced . The lady working there was extremely rude . After hearing good things about this place , we were excited to come check it out . Not knowing they don’t serve wine by the glass or bottle , the red haired lady was so rude , talked down to us and made us feel like we were not worthy being at this vineyard . I am baffled by the way we were treated . I will tell everyone to avoid this vineyard . To that lady who talked condescending to us , you should be ashamed of yourself .

Love the VW bus and artwork! Prudence has done an amazing job here. If you like white wines on the not-bone-dry end you'll love their selection. Looking forward to trying the Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon blend we bought!

Great winery to go to. Had a lot of fun with Shawna hosting the tastings. This was a great winery that had some amazing staff. They really take pride here and make it a super fun and inviting atmosphere. Would recommend and will definitely be coming back. Keep up the great work Shawna :)

Great wine with a beautiful view! This is a unique and more casual winery compared to others in the area. Definitely worth checking out.

I’ll spoil the plot by saying Ruby Blues is amazing and worth the visit in order to spare those with the attention of a ferret on a double espresso who don’t like big words or paragraphs longer that three sentences the remaining 595 words, because there be story time. Two years ago, my girlfriend and I were slogging through West Edmonton Mall (which in the last few years has turned into Guantanamo Bay for chicklet-brains) when we stumbled into a liquor store. Perusing the selection, by almost random we picked up a bottle not out of name recognition but rather aesthetics. It looked pretty. We returned a few days later to our home town and allowed my sister to select one of the several wines we had purchased. And “yoink”, like that, without pause, she snagged that bottle, the Ruby Blues Red Stiletto, following that with her own tale of how she considers it her all-time favorite wine. Period. Two years later, just last fall, my girlfriend and I embarked on our first official wine trip. Over a week, we visited 60 wineries and returned with 120 bottles. So of course, given the hype laid on thicker than Sofia Vergara’s accent, Ruby Blues had to be a destination. Unlike American political ads, this is propaganda you can believe—Ruby Blues is astonishing. Its history is coupled with the competing Red Rooster across the street. The owner of Ruby Blues had started with the other winery, but their phenomenal success proved overwhelming, and after the anxiety of dealing with marketing, winemaking, and weddings around an already expansive and expanding business, the owners decided to walk away. They sold all but one of their fields to a conglomerate and retired…for apparently 30 seconds. Ruby Blues came from their desire to remain winemakers, and we are all blessed for it. When judged strictly on personality, Ruby Blues is Steve Jobs before the iPhone launch. Massive. Deserving. The ornamentation is unique if not a little confusing. Externally, Ruby Blues presents itself as trying to reach back to its hippie youth, the grounds dominated by flower-powered Volkswagen microbuses adorned like they were dropped off by Jane Fonda and Stevie Nicks. Inside, that iconography carries into the merchandise as well but is then fringed on all sides by shoes. Women’s shoes…and not casual flip flops, but expensive high heels. Weird. And obviously, that decision carries not only into the winery’s name but in the titles they bestow on their bottles as well. Their signature wines are the red and white stilettos. The building itself is rather small, obviously, when compared to the competition, but it certainly feels welcoming. The tasting is generous, and the staff is friendly. And the wine is good. I typed this while staring at my 1.5-liter Red Stiletto Magnum, numbered 95 out of 150. That’s right, limited edition, and still sealed though not for much longer. We acquired a few other bottles then, but that’s the star from both that winery and our collection entire, right alongside our 2010 Cassini Cellars Maximus Magnum and our 2013 The Prisoner. Ruby Blues, it must be restated, is exactly why you visit Naramata. Not because of some pageantry in the construction of the winery, but in the passion of the winemaking and the intimacy of their setup. The owners obviously know their craft, and it shows. On our second trip, we took our friends with us, and Ruby Blues was one a very short list of repeated location. It’s worth it folks.

Sweet boutique winery on Naramata Bench! Very personable staff, delightful presentation as part of the tasting experience. Varied selection of merchandise available; 'vintage', humourous, and utilitarian. A fun stop on your winery tour itinerary.

Helene Lenzing

First time at this winery and had a blast! Wines that I tasted were all great. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. Views were equally good. Came out with 2 bottles of wine. Will definitely go back next time I'm back in the area.

(Translated) If I could have left 6 stars I would have! Superb place, all the products are excellent, the staff are so friendly, accommodated and welcomed my children very well. The exchanges were sincere and not "public relation". An essential stop on your wine route (we had not booked in advance). (Original) Si j'avais pu laisser 6 étoiles je l'aurais fait! We visited this winery last week on the recommendation of a friend. While we enjoyed our tasting and the woman who was serving us, we found the owner to be quite rude. After our tasting (which was done outdoors), we were asked to proceed into the shop to leave our contact details (due to the pandemic). This is the only winery that asked us to do this, despite visiting 6 or 7 others during this trip. We didn't mind, but did find it a bit odd that we had to go inside to do this (indoors being riskier than outdoors), but we went in nevertheless. The woman behind the counter was the owner, I believe her name is Prudence. She was busy helping someone else with their wine purchase so we waited. When she was finished, we explained that we were told to leave our contact details. She took our info and then said that the price of the tasting is a smile but we always appreciate when people purchase something. We felt a bit put on the spot in that moment and replied that we would be visiting a few other wineries that day but that we may return and pick something up. She then said "Well that means no, you won't be buying anything", and walked out the of the shop leaving us there a bit dumbfounded. She was right, we weren't going to buy anything because the wines didn't impress us that much (they were fine, there was just nothing that stood out to us). However, we would have considered returning and buying a bottle (maybe for our friends who like this winery) if she hadn't been so rude to us. We would have probably returned to the winery on another visit because we did enjoy the tasting experience. It's unfortunate that she treated us so rudely because the place was nice, but now we know to take our business elsewhere.

Good wines and decor...but very rushed. As i was getting money from my husband to purchase a few things i was snapped at for blocking the entrance way by an employee. I told her nicely i was just grabbing cash to make a purchase and would be out of the entrance way in a moment. She rolled her eyes and walked away. I took my money elsewhere.
