Nice pub, staff were very friendly and helpful. Small selection of beer but a large selection of food. Fries were over done and felt like that had been triple fried. Was pretty busy but we didnt feel overlooked. Looks like this place has a lot of stuff going on.

I never expected to have great food at a pub. In my view, it's first of all a place for drinking beer and socializing. So we all were pleasantly surprised with our dinner that was amazing. Incredibly yummy!

Good service, good atmosphere. Miserable food and drinks. Not going back there. I had the medley stir-fry. Presentation and taste was like jail food. First beer was completely flat and tasted like vinegar. Second beer choice was not available so took the waitress suggestion which was lot "fresher" then the first one. Then ordered a double ceaser which was the most horrible I ever had. Was like if barman mistaken the hot sauce for the clamato, just gross. The place wasn't crowded at all, so no excuses. My advice: hire a new chef and get something like a real barman behind the counter.

Mike's place is pretty damn good, and they are open super late which was awesome. Found ourselves starving at 11pm, and we were very fortunate to find Mike's place open and still serving up grub. Food was really great and prices were not bad!

This place is an must visit if you are in Nelson!! There is no way you could possibly be dissapointed. We were in Nelson for 4 nights and wanted to try a selection of places but after our first meal here we just couldn't get past it!! The selection has something for literally everyone. Every items was a 10/10 homemade tasty food. Portions were very satifying and the quality was of the charts. Bravo!! to Mikes Pub. The staff and service was extremely wonderful. We did take out a few times and this was the most easiest take out service I have ever experienced as well. The lady taking our order was so polite, professional and on the ball. She double checked our order before putting it in. Each time our order came with absolutely everything. Thank you!! It would be worth a trip to Nelson just to experience this perfection again. When eating out for 4 to 5 days you get wanting healthy food, here the salad was delicious fresh and crispy. The pasta was clearly homemade from actual scratch, fish was halibut, veal was tender and delicious.

Good night life on weekends, good food depending on who's working in the kitchen. Outside deck you can smoke on server's are awsome and its nice that they have a cold beer & wine store right on the same location. Enjoy going there when in nelson.

Staff was incredible, professional and ran off their feet. We were treated royally. Food was good but not exceptional. Kitchen was obviously struggling. Beer was excellent and service was professional. We were served by the bartender and he was excellent at his job and unfazed by how busy it was. Very supportive of the server!

Unfortunately the service was underwhelming to say the least. We got a drink at the bar (the server was lovely) then walked up to the next level and sat down. We were not spoken to again! Not offered a menu (We were going to eat there after a beer) nor another drink. The girl who was looking after this area, spoke to litturaly everyone else!! We loved the music being played and the general vibe of this pub... but we left when our beers were done, you know when you're not welcome.

GET THE NACHOS! This place was super fun to visit last minute as a couple from out of town. We went at about 11 PM on a busy Friday night and still got great table service. A unique Nelson experience. This place is more of a pub /restaurant during the day and turns into much more of a pub/ casual club in the evenings. Seriously though get the nachos!

We tried a couple of different Burgers, along with some of their craft beer. The service was good, though the server was quite harried. We would have given this a higher rating, except that there were several long hairs in the food. This rather put us off although the food was good otherwise. Not sure if I would return.

Mike's Place Pub was a good spot for a meal and a beer after a hot day of cycling. The steak sandwich was on special, was cooked as requested and was very tasty! Enjoyed the more casual atmosphere of the pub, though there are other restaurants in the hotel offering the same menu. Entrance to the pub is either directly from Ward Street, or through the hotel and up some stairs. It was a nice way to end a day, or start an evening.

I usually have good experiences but on November 3rd I was out for drinks and recieved wine on ice instead of the double vodka cran I ordered, not sure if they thought I was too drunk to notice or if it was an accident so I took it back and they made a snarky face when I asked the bartenders to remake it. When he did, he took a gulp of my drink with his mouth to "make sure it was the right one" (his words) which obviously I asked him to remake it again because that's unsanitary/gross. I don't know where his mouth has been. When he did I said "thanks but don't screw me over I'm not actually that drunk" , then all the bartenders laughed at me and were making fun of me because I didn't want to take the drink he gulped out of. That is not acceptable after paying $12 for a crappy drink.
