Came in for a Chianti, left with a bad taste in my mouth. 2 stars for the 4 star service I have received from the last 4 years of patronage. Asked what Chianti they had in stock, was laughed at and told they hadn’t “heard the word Chianti” since 1987. My retort questioning whether they eat Italian food was met with “well there are other Italian wines”. Yep, most definitely there are but I am the customer and I know what I want and want I don’t want is snobbery, especially from someone who goes on to recommend the Australian/Canadian blend bottle of red.....

We love this place. Jen and Sarah are great hosts and the value and experience is great. We love that you can tweak each recipe with additional oak or tanin is fantastic. We've been to so many wine making shops and this one is the best by far. We've made a bunch of their wines and given the right tweaks even the lower value wines can produce a reasonable wine once aged a month. But, in general we've loved almost everything we've bottled there.

This is a fantastic place to make wine. You will find reasonable prices, an extremely clean store and friendly staff. A girlfriend and I bought 3 kits to split. She couldn't make it on the day we were scheduled to bottle. Seeing I was on my own, one of the owners jumped in to help me. The wines we made were as good as what is sold in the LCBO. When I started making fruit wines at home, I'd buy my yeast etc there because the owners are happy to share their extensive wine-making knowledge with me. I'm a customer for as long as I drink wine!

I checked out the other two winemaking supply stores on Lansdowne. One was hostile, neither were helpful. I came here, they had everything I had on my list, they were happy to sell it to me, and cost quite a bit less than ordering on Amazon. Place looks clean and generally cheerful. I would recommend.

The wine shops features a collection of local Ontario wine including Peller Estate, Trius and Wayne Gretzky. I would highly recommend trying the Baco Noir and Riesling from either Trius or Wayne Gretzky Vineyard. Versatile and well priced Ontario wine.

I was recently in this wine shop purchasing a bottle, the lady at the till refused to sell me a bottle even though I am of age to purchase alcohol. She refused my VALID Government issued ID for no apparent reason? Eventually, the manager was called and I got to purchase my bottle. I would not recommend this shop to anyone nor will I be returning.

Unresolved discrimination issue despite taking it up with the manager. The matter was not taken seriously and not handled properly by any standards. I was given a $15 gift card and an apology saying she's normally a great employee with no history of discrimination more than 10 days after my original complaint.
