Service was good! We had a large party and the food came out quickly. We were there on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy. Food was delicious! Portions were large. If it was a mushroom risotto, you can definitely taste the mushrooms and truffles. Same with the mushroom pasta. The pescatore pasta was delicious. risotto with osso bucco was delicious as well.

What a fantastic evening at Solstice last night! We celebrated a friends birthday and the food and service was beyond our expectations! Stephanie was amazing and the food… well you need to go to find out! Been living in Port Credit for over 10 years and not sure why it took us this long to go! I’ve heard only great things about it & now I can vouch for it as well! The first thing my husband and I said to eachother this morning was “THAT FOOD last night”. Wow! Excellent! We needed a place in between east end Toronto, where we are from, and Burlington, where our friends were from. I chose THIS! I could not have made a better choice. The service was exceptional....friendly, professional, knowledgeable. The menu is extensive, and each dish we ordered was prepared with incredibly fresh ingredients, was creative, and the portions were generous for the price, which is always appreciated. Highly recommend!

This is my absolute favourite restaurant around. The staff are friendly and it's nice to see the same faces. The decor is modern and elegant as is the table setting. Head chef always makes time to say hello and makes sure everything is just perfect. Every dish I've tried on the menu has been excellent and I'm never disappointed. Fresh quality ingredients are used. Pasta is always cooked to perfection. It's also nice to see that there are regulars that are respected and appreciated. If you haven't tried Solstice I would say you need to go and try it out. It's modern/classic Italian food at it's best! Lastly, always, always, always get the calamari. You won't regret it!

Always a pleasure visiting this family run local gem. The family and staff are always professional, prompt and friendly. We feel like we are being welcomed back home everytime we visit. The food has always been freshly prepared and delicious (absolutely fabulous Italian food!! My personal fav are grilled calamari and penne Alla vodka). The restaurant always come up with new menu items or promotion as well, so don’t miss out on following them via social media. We once had a holiday family party at their private room; the food and atmosphere was great. All our guests were very pleased. We highly recommend Solstice!!

My family recently hosted an engagement party at Solstice for my soon-to-be husband and I and wow, we were so impressed! Andrew went above and beyond to ensure all of the arrangements were in place before our event and thought about every detail - from the custom message on our guests' menu, to setting up our photo slideshow on the TV, to providing us with lots of extra tables for our sweets and gifts. We were given a separate room in the restaurant which felt safe and private from the rest of the restaurant. All guests including ourselves were asked to wear masks walking into/out of the restaurant and when using the washrooms, which added an extra level of comfort to the experience. The servers assigned to our event wore masks the entire evening and diligently cleaned up the room at the end of the night. The food was delicious and the service was timely and amazing. A great spot for a family function! We'd definitely host another event here in the future. Thank-you!

This place is a lovely date night spot. The food and staff are very good and the restaurant has a nice intamit atmosphere. The price is very reasonable for a good home cooked Italian meal. The only thing is if you come remember to bring a sweater with you because if you get seated by the window it does tend to get a little chilly. Very good restaurant overall though.

If you’re here deciding weather or not to order the Epic Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich tonight then go right ahead and order it before reading the rest of my review. They weren’t wrong to call it epic! The staff at Solstice are incredibly helpful and friendly. They have adapted their business well to Covid times and are a real gem of the neighbourhood. I look forward to sitting down for a meal there. Update: We had a fanatic meal at solstice with wonderful food and great service. You’ll have a great time here, you are in good hands.

I went there for company's Christmas Dinner. In general, the service was nice. The decoration was wonderful. We like the food. It was delicious. However, there is still a room for improvement, such as the steak, according to some of my colleagues, was a bit too raw. They also need more options of side dishes and beers. I've never been there, but I ordered takeout yesterday. My husband had a paella, and I had the pasta a la vodka. My dish was pretty good, well seasoned, and the portion was very generous. I'm small and eat little, so I ate about half. So I have leftovers for lunch, yay! My 10yo son tried my pasta and he liked it, too. My husband also enjoyed his food. I had the tiramisu for dessert and it was absolutely delicious! Loved it! I only wish they had something more boring that I could order for younger kids, like a cheese or pepperoni pizza. My youngest was not impressed with the menu choices.

I decided to try out this place last week with a group of friends. Luckily, we were able to reserve a patio table for 4 without any issues. Ample parking spaces as well. Leonardo was our server and he was the most polite and helpful server that I have met. He informed us about the Chef's daily special (lasagna was amazing), made sure to check up on us every few minutes to top up our glasses. Very genuine person. Overall, I would recommend trying this restaurant out. Amazing food, even better service.

They had a high quality wine selection and appetizer options included octopus which I had never eaten before. I was quite surprised at the tenderness and flavour of this dish. The special was a slow cooked roast that melted in my mouth with mashed potatoes and rapini. Service was excellent. I would return for sure.

Good variety, I seldom go there. You can find stuff that you cannot find in some other places. Good quality stuff! I would go there every time in the future. You should look at what they offer and choose what is best for you! Very nice place and I will go there again in the future, I like that is not far from where I live and it’s not very busy in the week-ends. Me and my wife stumbled across Solstice a few months ago, and were presently surprised. The restaurant is tucked in the back of a plaza in Clarkson Village and had we not had to turn around I don't think we would have ever seen it. Good thing I never listen to my wife and went the wrong way because Solstice has become our new go-to spot for affordable quality Italian dining. Love the food and atmosphere and the prices are easily digestible to. I recommend the pasta and pizza and the Tiramisu (it gets a capital T because it's that good! )

Perfect place for a family party! We celebrated an 85th and 90th birthday and all our guests loved the food and the service was great. The party room was private and the big t.v. screen made it very easy to have family pictures shown while we dined. The personalized menus were also a nice touch. I went here with a bunch of friends for one of my close friends birthdays. The food was pristine and very well cooked, along with the ambiance (except for a couple of crying kids but no one can stop that) The thing that struck me the most was that our waitress was mediocre throughout most of the meal, not bothering to really talk to us all that much and just took our orders quickly. And at the end of the meal, she brought us the bill total on one receipt. As I'm sure many groups of friends know, this is extremely frustrating as most of the time you have to calculate and take time to find out how much everyone owes. We politely asked for a separate bill and the waitress suddenly turned into this rude person who said "One Moment" and stormed away to her manager. They we had the "big and scary" manager come tell us that NORMALLY they don't separate the bills, and if they had known previously when they took the reservation that we would want separate bills, they wouldn't have taken our reservation at all. Ridiculous. It took them 20 minutes to figure out what everyone ordered and to reassemble the bill, where most systems are all automatic and it was very stupid for the waitress to have sent her boss over to tell us that we wouldn't have been welcome if we had asked for a separate bill. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Not even the amazing food could bring me back to this judgmental, stupid and overall rude restaurant.

But recently they are burning everything, it was embarrassing so say the least, would only expect this sort of burnt charred food if I was in hell.. come on guys you'll have been in the business way to long and survived COVID.. get this checked and rectified. We recommended some friends last week .. and you burnt their dinner... octopus... veal.. maybe you guys need a timeout. You did not even compensate them or apologize considering they did could not eat their burnt bitter meal. Shame shame guys !!

Please keep in mind that this review was written during the second Covid 19 lockdown of 2020, and was done with take out only. I had never actually eaten at Solstice before, even though I have lived in Clarkson for over a decade. (Shame on me) We checked out their Instagram, and saw their weekly specials. We ordered their Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and a side Caprese Salad. OMG, was it ever good. You may be thinking that it was only a fried chicken sandwich, but you would be wrong. It was perfectly seasoned, juicy, crispy with a perfect blob of coleslaw on the sandwich. The coleslaw was crunchy, but not so soggy that it spoiled the bun. The salad was a delightful fresh concoction that was not overdressed. If they can do this with takeout, I look forward to going in when the lockdown ends and seeing what they are truly capable of. I hope more people will support their local businesses.

I went there on a Friday evening with a group of friends for our Christmas dinner. We all arrived at 7pm. We started receiving the food at 8:30pm. It was a very long wait. I ordered pizza and it was tasty, but the name was 4 vegetables and there was no more than 4 pieces of veggies on it - see attached picture. The ambiance was very nice, but not enough for me to ever go back there.

Great quality Great portions Great service We have been ordering from Solstice throughout the pandemic and really felt they had great quality food that actually held together as a take-away (opposed to dine-in). My favorite has been the veal parmigiana - one of the best in the city for sure. This past weekend when the city opened up to indoor dining, my wife and I decided to make a reservation and try it. It was great! The food was fantastic and the server (I think her name was Angie) was really sweet. I of course ordered the veal, and my wife ordered a vegetarian dish which she really enjoyed. The chef is very good in making slight alterations or helping with allergy accommodations. They have a decent wine menu – nothing special, but you’ll find something you want at a decent price. Easy to get parking and just off of Lakeshore so easy to find if you’re ubering/etc. The venue is quiet and has great lighting for a dinner event. We also noticed a number of people eating on small tables just outside the restaurant – great for the summer warm weather. For dessert we had the bourbon creme brule - a must!

We did a curb side pick up and enjoyed a delicious dinner in our home. One order was the Buttermilk chicken so good and Veal Parmesan both delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant for pick up or dine in when Covid restrictions are lifted.

I was introduced to Solstice Restaurant and Wine Bar in the midst of our first lockdown in 2020. It's a family-owned and operated estaurant which prides itself on an excellent menu but even more importantly, phenomenal service. Everyone from front of house, the bar, and even meal prep will take the time to greet you with a smile or ask how everything is. My recommendation, the Epic Chicken Sandwich, it's so good! We've lived in Clarkson for the past 3 years and just discovered this wonderful restaurant hidden off a small plaza off Lakeshore and Clarkson Road. My husband and I went there for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. We had such a great time and the food was excellent. Kudos to the server we had who was so personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. I wish I remembered her name. We loved the ambience of the restaurant. I highly recommend this place for the quality of their food and the excellent customer service we received. We will definitely return.

Celebrated our annual pre-Christmas dinner last week along with 10 other family members. Upon arriving we were greeted with a friendly face and made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere was very clean and inviting!. It wasn't untill we received our food that things took a very sour turn. 4 out of the 11 meals were cold upon arriving to the table 2 of them being the most expensive item on the menu wich is the New York steak( $35.95 ) I personally ordered the steak along with 4 tiger shrimp for $16.96 and a ice tea. My steak was cold and bland my shrimp were NOT tiger shrimp at all and were just warmed in a sea of butter and garnished with a branch of parsley. No one came back to the table to check on how anything was, untill someone went to complain to the server that our meals were cold. When she came to the table the only option given was "i'll have them make you a new one " to only one person and without even hearing them out just left the table. I had been sitting there for so long that I ate some of the food on my plate out of sheer hunger. When my sister in law went to speak to the manager to get some attention she was brushed off very rudely and not listened to in the slightest she was also told that the cameras were being checked which implied that we were all lying about our food being cold! Because he insisted that the food came right out. No drinks got refilled and i didn't even have a fork or napkin so I used the napkin out of the bread basket and took someone's salad fork to eat what little I could stomach of the cold bloody meat on my plate. And still no one came back to the table not even the server. My cousin then went and found the manager and began to speak to him in a calm manner and all I could see from the table was him waving his arms around so I went over and stood in on the conversation in wich he was saying he could give us desert on the house and that's all he could do his hands were tied. At that point I interrupted and said I was not paying for a cold meal I did not eat or enjoy he then told me "that's bot what i was told" again implying that i was lying and when I mentioned the steak his response was " Well we're not a steak house ... so you shouldn't come here for steak". But you have the nerve to charge me $36 ?!? So i simply said I wasn't paying for it and he insisted I pay for the shrimp and I refused. He then reluctantly said he was going to comp us our cold meals even though he was going to lose money ... Very unprofessional and tactless. This was utterly the WORST dining experience of my life I have never EVER written a bad review, i feel its better to just not go back, But felt compelled to share because of how disrespected I, along with the rest of my family were made to feel. Lastly my Brother in law just wanted to speak to the manager to clear the air and calm the situation down and was told he could just get his meal comped instead. Because the manager was hiding in the corner by the bar unable to have a normal conversation with a patron. Or maybe its because we were the only "ethnic " table in the place that he couldn't deal with us anymore. We were forced to pay for gratuity and were told its a house policy and that they couldn't take the charge off. 4 meals got comped not including drinks apps or gratuity. I payed $3.95 for a ice filled glass of ice tea without refills. I would give this place a negative star rating if i could. The Manager was very unpleasant to deal with and needs to take a class in how to speak to people of ALL races and genders and maybe throw in class on customer service/relations while you're at it! Will not be returning.

Celebrated two baptisms at Solstice. In the two occasions they have provided exceptional service. The atmosphere was great, the size of the room was perfect for everyone to feel comfortable and the food was fabulous. Everyone at the party had nothing but good things to say. Definitely recommend solstice to anyone looking to host a party or even for a nice dinner out with the family.

I was craving a pasta with loads of vegetables and didn’t see such a thing on the menu so asked the waitress. Without hesitation she said they would create what I wanted. I was served the best vegetable loaded pasta primavera I have had in ages! And I enjoyed it with a glass of wine sitting on their cute outdoor patio. Great service and great food!

Went about one month ago for my dads birthday. We made a reservation ahead of time(recommend). All 4 dishes were great, however we had to wait a while for them (over 30 minutes, probably close to an hour). And just a tip - do not bring small children.

Impeccable presentation however it took 30-45 minutes to recieve our order, upon arrival I tried a bite of each element just to find out it was all over cooked. The homemade gnocchi dough was overworked and under seasoned prior to cooking and then over cooked in obviously unsalted water as well to the point that when chewed it was gummy and created a paste in your mouth. The mushroom cream sauce had no salt or any other forms of seasoning whatsoever further making the dish inedible. The lobster tail, when tapped on, made the same noise as tapping the wooden table we were seated at. Scallops ended up over cooked and rubbery, yet had no crust from the searing. I sat for around an hour and didn’t touch my meal yet was not asked about or questioned as to what was wrong. At the end of the dinner they asked me a few times if I wanted to take it home, to which I declined, charged us for it and we left. Hands down the worst dinner I’ve attended in a very long time.

I found this restaurant on a Facebook ad. It looked really good. I live close by so I decided to give it a try. I went with my girlfriend and had an amazing time. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. You can tell they take pride in what they do because the owner greeted, welcomed us and engaged in small talk. Not many places offer that welcoming and cozy feeling. I had the strozzapretti alla vodka while my girlfriend had the pappardella con fungi. They were both incredible. If you are interested in a restaurant that is modern and chic in Mississauga, Solstice is the place for you. I will definitely be going back!
