My daughter has a severe peanut/nut allergy, I asked the waitress if they had anything with peanuts and or treenuts on the menu and she told me the only thing that had nuts was the spinach salad, which my daughter would not be eating, so we proceeded to order. Not only was the service extremely slow, we were there for well over an hour and a half, but when I ordered the brownie dessert, it had nuts in it. If i had not have seen the nuts she would have eaten it and had a sever reaction. The menu says to ask the server about allergies, so i think the owners and the staff should definatly check over everything to make sure this doesn't happen again. I will not be back after having this happen

I had the Fire Hall Burger and it was delicious! Nice amount of spice. And love the fact they use homemade fries. The fries were the best! My wife had the Big Kid Grilled Cheese with fries and was very happy with the quality and flavor.

I just got through reading some of the reviews and saw that they had homemade fries this is not my experience.I just got through eating fish and chips it consisted of frozen fish frozen french fries store bought coleslaw store-bought tartar sauce and store-bought gravy serve lukewarm. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I gave it one star because the inside of the restaurant was quite nice. The pictures seen on this site for this restaurant are NOT what is being served. Waste of money is what it is.

Friendly staff but very highly priced dry and unsavory fries. We somehow ended up paying 33$ for a regular fry (supposedly 4$), a 13$ poutine and 2 small soft drinks. It took about 30 minutes for them to prepare this. There was horrible live music playing and it blended perfectly with the highway traffic next to it on the terrasse. Also, strange and confusing signs in the bathroom. I don't recommend this place.

Fish/chip were good turkey club also on the patio. Inside is a bar atmosphere. Price was decent portions IMHO more than satisfactory Andrew's Fish & Chips is right across the street & Capers fares well with Andrew's.

Busy little spot! Amazing service, even when things didn't go as planned. Kitchen mix up, even without our saying a word on the long wait, they gave us 50% off our bill, an extra order of pickle fries (which were delicious), in addition to multiple apologies from extremely busy waitresses that still took time to come make sure we were ok.

We decided to give this place a try for lunch. The service was great and the food fantastic. I had the clubhouse and my partner had fish and chips. Fries were fresh cut, not frozen and he said the fish was among the best he's had - not greasy and generously portioned.

Not impressed what so ever.....cold fries,dry sandwich and a wait not needed for a place that only had four tables with people. Brought out my plate while my wife had to wait for them to re-cook her eggs. To sum it up we found out where not to go for a bite to eat

Messed up our order two days in a row, fairly bad. Second time they said the order would be 15-20 mins. Got there in 20, was told another 15-20 mins, as it hadn't been started yet. Sat in the car waiting for 45 minutes, even those ordered after us were long gone before we got our food. Total of three other customers there in the time we sat there.

Absolutely phenomenal! We showed up 5 to close without realizing and the owner took us and, fed us amazing fresh food, and entertained us well after he closed for the night. Truly an amazing place to eat that displayed a level of hospitality that should be seen everywhere. 100/5 would absolutely come again!!!! ❤❤❤

My wife and I were recently at Capers and had a great time. The chicken wings were recomended so I just had to try them. I wasnt disappointed. Crispy and so so tasty. And the portions are generous so come hungry. Also, if you get a chance to try the hash browns don't pass it up. The seasoning is to die for. My wife has some dietary restrictions (gluten free) and the staff were especially accommodating. They made us feel comfortable and welcome. Great food, very pleasant staff and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had lunch at Capers last week while visiting her parents. We all agreed, best shrimp ever! Delicious! The atmosphere was terrific... greeted like long lost family! Just the perfect spot. Only one regret, after having returned home I now realize that we're 11 hours away from our favorite restaurant! Thanks!

Terrible service, insanely long wait with no one else around. Kept being told it would be 10 more minutes and was told this 4 separate times. Nearly an hour later they told us that they were never making it and they would start immediately but once we demanded a refund the food was ready within minutes. They are ready to lie about anything until a refund is requested. Honestly shocking how poor the service was.

This is the greatest place in Miramichi. You haven't lived until you've experienced their incredible service and amazing food. Everyone should put "go to Capers restaurant in Miramichi" on their bucket list. Forget sky diving or seeing the great wall of China or losing yourself in the spice markets of India ... go here instead because it really is "the place to be".

Oh boy, where do I begin. Seems to me like there's no motivation by the cooks. Food was presented well, although there was many, MANY problems with my dish. I ordered the Sandy special which was a chicken burger. The bun was soaked from the toppings, I would've preferred it more if the bun was toasted to avoid it soaking. The cheese was tasteless, I couldn't tell if it was even there if I haven't inspected the burger prior to eating. I got the spinach salad as a side, and there was a good amount of spinach leaves that were beginning to rot. The red onions in the salad were a bit over powering and the tomatoes seemed to be old or they were flash frozened. Hate to be one that gives a bad review, although I don't imagine I will be returning until they make changes in the food preparation. The food in my opinion was NOT worth the twenty dollars. On another note, the waitress I had was very polite and quick responding. Only concern I had was the pieces of broken glass on the chair beside me. Luckily I did not sit in it. Not good for my first time visiting the restaurant. Hope changes will take place. Best of luck.

Was headed to Quebec on a bike trip this weekend and stopped here for a bite on the way up. Great service, food was excellent (there was 9 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal) and a really big selection on their menu. We liked it so much we stopped there for supper on the way home. Right on the highway so it's easy to get to. Would definitely recommend!
