Have been here multiple times, but recently went for our anniversary and the team knocked it out of the park! Significant dietary restrictions made the menu challenging, so the chef prepared a custom 5 course menu just for the two of us. Anna was great coordinating over email ahead of time. Mike was super attentive and made sure every part of the experience was 5-star. Compliments to the chef for the creativity - everything was delicious. Thanks to the whole team at Harth! An exceptional dining experience. We will be back.

It was a nice surprise for us to celebrate our anniversary there and realize that Winnipeg has such a great restaurant. Food and service were excelent. Our server was knowledgeable and professional. The fresh tagliatelle were perfectly executed and glad to have that Chardonnay from Uruguay to pair our plates. Probably a top 3 in the culinary in Winnipeg. We will be back to try the option of the chefs selection for 55 dollar. Great job Harth!

My wife Lori and I shared the meatballs (best I have ever had) and burrata to start. The burrata was excellent, especially the fresh grilled bread that accompanied both dishes. I had the braised lamb shank (very tender and flavourful) and Lori very much enjoyed the night's pasta special One thing you will find absent on their tables is salt and pepper shakers. Why? Because Chef Genyk and his crew season the food spot on, so there is no need to have the shakers on the table. We shared the chocolate tart, velvety smooth and extremely delicious! Thanks for making Lori's birthday and our wedding anniversary a very memorable one!

This is a formal dining establishment, and my partner and I love going here. It has this appeal that is hard to describe, besides to say that there is a disconnect from the fast pace world we live in when you step into this place. The prices for the food are fair, and the portions are perfect. The quality of the food is superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants a fancier evening on a fair budget.

Horrible food experience. I come here often when we’re in the city, the food and experience was 0 stars. Food just tasted rushed and was not usually flavourful and Up to par. My family own multiple restaurants across canada and i know things happen. But the way the manager dealt with it. Could defiantly use some training on problem approach. All in all, most likely will never come back to Harth after last nights disappointment. Shoutout to our server for trying his best to make things right - appreciate you and your service

Based on the previous food reviews, I must have been there on an off day. We ordered a cheese plate, pasta dish and a pizza to give a try to a few things. All were just ok, and quite over priced. I'm not cheap and will pay top dollar for good food, this just needs some work in my opinion. The staff are amazing, our server was the best. Service was perfect and the ambience is heavenly! My kind of place for sure. I will 100% be back, they are new and I think it had to be an off night. Love that you're in our neighbourhood.

I just loved this place. It's located in the south end of the city in a non descipt strip mall. When you walk in you are entering a super dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful and very modern. The food was delicious and well prepared. The portions are very generous. The staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. *edit* This time service was fantastic. We were a larger group of 8 with a server that didn't miss a beat. Everyone was happy with their food. The pizza was still soggy in the middle. Everything else was very good The bartender made a fantastic virgin drink for me. I often find they just come up with a plain sweet soda with a bit of flavoring. This one came up with something a bit more inventive. Tip: They are part of the no straw movement however, so be aware... No straws. We found it helpful to order drinks with half the ice to make it easier to sip from the glass. I came into this restaurant with high expectations because I have had friends speak well of it. Service was a mix of excellent to mediocre. Our primary server was excellent. The support staff was a bit lacking. For a place that bills itself as family style, they didn't offer any utensils to share most of the time. When it was our primary server he did give us an extra spoon, but when it was the support staff, we were on our own. There are other examples, but I won't list it all. Maybe it is because they are new and still training? The atmosphere is beautiful. They did a beautiful job renovating. It is very comfortable to sit in and the ambiance is terrific. I thought the food was good, but there wasn't very much that I felt I had to come back for. We haven't tried all the menu items yet, but we had a sampling to try to cover the bases. We did not have the charcuterie or cheeses so we might need to return. Items were pricey. In Winnipeg its a tough market because you can find good food for good prices. The pollo pizza was good. The middle (point) was a touch soggy and didn't hold up well. The rest of it was good. I had a similar crust in Omaha recently which didn't have this problem. The toppings on it paired well. The lamb shank... the lamb flavoring was very muted. I didn't get a lot of flavor from the braising, though the accompaniments had a lot of flavor. So long as you eat it together its fine. Green beans were very good in my eyes, but my companions thought they were mediocre. I believe everyone enjoyed the rabbit gnocchi. I would have liked it more in a pesto sauce, but the only option was tomato based. That is a personal preference though, and I can recognize that this dish was done well. The octopus dish we had reminded me of a korean dish, but elevated... due to the sauce. The base red sauce had a korean flavor, but with the celery and lemon it did make it more complex. It was an interesting dish, and if you like that kind of flavoring this will be perfect for you. It looked like they had tea from Cornelia Bean which is nice. For dessert we tried the tiramisu (Well only one person in our party wanted it, I had an allergy and the other 2 didn't like coffee.) He said he enjoyed it. The other dessert was the ricotta donuts. I didn't taste ricotta, but the donuts themselves were pretty tasty and done well. I'll go back to get a better idea of the rest of the menu and see if the service improves with time. I think it has the potential to hit 5.

Food was tasty, however the service could be improved. Firstly our reservation was for 7:15 and we were not seated until a half hour later despite arriving on time. Second a party of six who had come in about ten minutes after us managed to get a table even thought their reservation dates were messed up. Thirdly, we were a party of five and the hostess brought us to a table meant for four. Now of course the problem would be that there aren't enough seats however they meant to move the table next to ours in order to accommodate for us. What wasn't accommodating was the fact that the table next to ours still had people conversing in it which meant that we were to sit all squished in the four person table. So for my first time there, I'm not impressed.

Simply the best. You walk in the door and the decor jumps out with wood tones, dim lights, dark walls, and cabinet s filled with wine. The next thing that hits you is the aroma of the wood burning fireplace that is located in the center of the room. Your mouth starts to water, and you order some pasta and pizza (try the hot honey pizza and duck pasta). Service was top notch and the gentleman was knowledge as he was attentive. Be sure to book a reservation far in advance!

Ambiance and service was above average, our server was patient and explained the dishes well. 3.5/5 Wine list is also pretty Good, would like some fuller bodied wines in the sub 50 range that are not overly fruity like the carmenere and merlot that are available, but that's getting nitpicky. 3.5/5 Food, oh boy. I have a rule to never go to a restaurant that isn't in it's 2nd year of operation after having worked in so many new starts over the years so I guess I will take some of the blame for breaking that rule. We started with the beet and gorgonzola salad, the dressing was great, beets were perfect, it is a "table" size that is comparable to starter salads in most restaurants considering the 6 pieces of beet 15g of gorgonzola that were supplied. Overall a good salad for $8 or $9ish, not the very overpriced $16. My date had the young chicken, and it was well brined and very moist, highlight if the night. I had the lamb Ragu, I wasn't sure I was going to post this but after me, my date, and now the next day 3 coworkers have all said the same thing unprompted: it tastes like hamburger helper. I am actually amazed how exactly thry have replicated the flavour. Not good at all. For sides we had the smashed potatoes, so dry and over salted we only had one bite each, and the Brussels sprouts, which were good. Overall when considering we didn't like half the dishes and of the ones we did we only found 1 to be even close to appropriately prices when compared to places like tres visi, deer and almond, carne etc. 1/5 is where I would rate the food. Overall not a great experience, and a great example of why I usually wait a year to go to new restaurants.

Harth is without a doubt one of the absolute best restaurants in Winnipeg. It blew me away in every aspect. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting, yet vibrant and sophisticated. I had never experienced service this impeccable, it was truly outstanding. We were fortunate enough to have Emanuel S. take our experience to the next level, who was a mix of personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about food. The food is delicately and yet deliberately crafted, with rich, complex flavours. Everything is fresh and made in house. We tried both breads, the kale caesar, tortellini, and sous-vide milk fed veal. Overall I can't recommend this restaurant enough and can promise without a doubt you will love your experience at Harth.

An eloquent place to enjoy a nice glass of wine, with an appie, dinner or without, in the south end of the city! Beautiful and tasteful restaurant with an upscale class! Momma's Meatballs are fantastic! (Loved the touch of Basil) Chicken Liver Pate was also yummy! (Wish there were more crackers though) Pollo Pizza in their wood fired oven was great. Looking forward to trying their other dishes! UPDATE: Went back and enjoyed appies in the lounge. Reservations are starting to be come a requirement. This place is booked for dinner all the time! Coppa and Burrata was both fantastic, and of course the Meatballs. UPDATE: Keeps getting better! Must have... Burratta. The light cheese that comes with it is fantastic! Beef Striploin cooked to perfection! The smashed Potatoes are amazing! Along with the baby carrots. We would also get the Rigatoni again. Loved it. Try it with a little extra dried chilli peppers... It just spunks it up a notch. The only thing I would not order again would be the Cannoli. It was good but...

He also served us complimentary liquors bc it was our anniversary. Further, he came by our table later on to see how we enjoyed our meals. The hostess, who is Christian's sister surprised us with a really cool booth we hadn't reserved in advance. Pretty terrible server - Lisa, seemed put out by us wanting her to explain the items on the menu. Too soft spoken and no smile. Did not point out the tasting menu. I have now heard from others about it and based on how amazing they've said it is, I would have ordered that over my boring lamb shank.

Beautiful interior, great atmosphere and perfect food - what else do you need for romantic dinner, birthday celebration or just quiet dinner? I love the interior and details. The wine storage with moving ladders like in an old library. Soft lightning and booths in the wall niches. Very tasteful. Great vine and food selection. We had couple appetizers and four different meals. Food looked and tasted amazing. Definitely a place to visit again and again.

We visited on a Saturday night and it took is 2 weeks to get a reservation. Nice decor, great service. We had the young chicken, lamb shank, broccoli, and brussel sprouts. The meal was excellent and the quality of the ingredients was evident. Only suggestion is less salt. Prices were good considering family style a la carte dining with portion sizes for 2 adults. For a good meal aim to spend 50-60$/ person not including alcohol. For dessert we had the chocolate torte and tiramisu. The torte was good but not impressive the tiramisu was good, not excellent. Overall delightful experience we feasted and had take home. Would visit again, this will be a jem in South Winnipeg solid 8/10.

We had an excellent meal with fantastic service, in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We were fortunate to enjoy the Alla Familiar, which gave us the suprise of the chef's pick for each course. The variety of dishes will exceptionally full flavors made each course an authentic Italian delight. The service of the courses was adapted to our pace, allowing for the enjoyment of the cuisine to be enjoyed to the fullest. From the wood fired bread, smoked olives, smashed cucumbers, fingerling potatoes, pasta, to the flat iron steak, it was all amazing with bold and distinct flavors that made each part of the meal a delight. I can't wait to enjoy my next visit!

I had a very good experience here with my girlfriend. The pasta I ordered was very good, staff was nice. The duck confit pasta we ordered took quite a while to arrive, but it was a packed night and that was their #1 recommendation, so it is what it is. I would come back here again and try the rest of their menu.

I really love the atmosphere of Harth. I do find the food to be a bit inconsistent though. I have had times where the food was phenomenal, and others where it was okay. My last visit did leave me a bit disappointed. My pasta dish just didn't satisfy my palette in any way. I originally had my heart set on having the pesto spaghetti, but upon receiving the menu it was no longer available so I opted for the eggplant dish. I found the taste to be a bit bitter or almost like a burnt taste and the texture of the pasta was just off. Everyone else in my party was happy with their dish and I did get to try a bite of the new lobster spaghetti and that was quite delicious.

I've been twice and I've never not enjoyed anything from here. The decor is gorgeous. The service is great. Both times I had the prosciutto pizza with no prosciutto (I don't eat pork) and the crust is delicious and the toppings work so well together. The burrata, carrots, and olives are a must. Nice selection of wines not typically found at the local LC which was awesome for me as I’ve tried most wines at the “commie mart”. Pizza ???? bar...pffft really what more do you need to know?! Preferred the cheese plater and bread which paired nicely with the wine. Pasta is house made along with the sauce...excellent. Service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable which is important to describe the menu and wine selection. Definitely recommend to check it out ????????

Nice atmosphere and tasty food. The pizza was soggy and the servers were OK. One server was great and the others that helped were just not all there it seemed. Pizza was soggy not due to oil but rather water content. The tomato's had bled out and pooled in the center of the pizza making the crust soggy instead of the desired crispy effect. Got 3 stars because they are selling the brand as being upscale and charging accordingly but just did not deliver. As a caveat, they had opened recently so I will go back later to see if they have improved.

We didn't know what was next until the server explained the dish. It was the first time we had done this and we were pleasantly surprised. The wood fired oven adds a lot of flavor to all types of items on the menu. We would highly recommend this place and will return to try more of the menu.

Came in to try some wine and also got a couple things to eat. Wine selection was really good, and they has a tasting menu, that you can try a few smaller 2oz, or 4oz glasses of some higher end wines, which was nice!! Food we tried was ok. Beef tartar was good, tried a cheese and the sour dough bread. They were good, just didn't really hit the spot. Would definitely go back and try a pizza though, they smelled great going by later on to some tables around us.

My girlfriends brought me here for my birthday because we heard such good things about the place and I was very excited to try the food. FOOD WAS AMAZING! The customer service was definitely -100 because of our server. We had a server called Robyn, from when she came to us, she had a lot of attitude with how she dropped food on the table, dropped the menu and walked away. When she was asked o explain the menu, she was vague and extremely rude. I had to stop her as she was walking away to provide more details. She slightly got better through the night but when the bill came, she was something else. I paid with a bill and she takes my receipt and asks “how much change do you want” & i’m reply saying whatever he change should be. She literally swiped the bill and receipt out of my head and walked off. She came back and dropped the change and walked off in anger again. It’s so sad because I was going to tip her but wanted to see what she brings back in change. It was also weird that she asked for the tip. Besides this poor customer service, the food is good but most disgusting attitude ever.

This was one of the best meals we've had in the city. It's so unassuming from the outside, but inside is a great space showcasing both the seating and the kitchen. We shared the meatballs and the Burrata which were both delicious, and then we each had one of the fresh pastas. We shared the chocolate torte for dessert. Everything from the cocktails to the food to the service was fantastic. Not inexpensive, but worth it for a special occasion.

All in all not a very positive experience have to say that our server Laura was absolutely impeccable and did a fantastic job however we had to send back to of our dishes because they were so salty they could not be eaten. Was directed to a wine on the “by the glass” menu and was not let down. Even my husband (who doesn’t like wine- let alone red wine) like bed it and preserved a glass! was there last night to celebrate my birthday with my family , heard it was very good ! we order the set dinner $55 @ for 5 of us , we were seated at 6:30pm by the time we finish our dinner is 9:30pm , at the beginning the service is good then fall apart in the middle .... in between each course is a 45 minute ?? my waiter keep telling me my dishes are coming , i don"t know if they were too busy ?? forgot our order some where ?? not a very enjoyable dinner at all , one of the pasta with clam was crazily salty but we eat it anyway because we were so so hungry !! waiter said he will take it to the chef to try and .......at the end we just want to finish and get out because everyone is so tired !!

The food, the atmosphere and the service were all excellent. It was fun to sit at the "pizza bar" and watch the chefs at work. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish (meatballs, lamb shank, tortellini, brussell sprouts, and carrots). I should also say that I was expecting it to be a bit pretentious but it wasn't at all. My wife and I decided to try Harth for the first time today, and stopped in. It was packed and we were lucky to get in. We got seated by the pizza ovens and got to watch as they were made - we noticed the care, and calm attitude of the gentleman cooking the pizzas (only to find out later he was one of the owners... you could almost tell - he had a passion in what he was doing). Our server was excellent, I am sure they are all good, but ask for Emanuele (Manny) if you can. He introduced us to the menu, beverages - and the way he spoke about the food - he sold us on the place, even before the food arrived. His recommendations were perfect...and we enjoyed every bite. I would definitely go again.

Such a nice aesthetic and great atmosphere that if I didn't know any better I would have thought it was downtown, but it's right in Southglen! They only had one gluten free option (which wasn't on the menu) - sweet potato gnocchi - and it was absolute perfection. The atmosphere and décore was stunning, very classic and quaint. Our service was exceptional from recommendations, extensive food and wine knowledge to wonderful pairing suggestions. I felt like family and encouraged to join in an experience rather than a costumer being upsold. The food was delectable, the wine was superb, our cheese plate was scrumptious and all our shareables were amazing and there was more than enough food for the two of us. This place is amazing. The flavors are out of this world. The pastas are made in house, it was a bit of a wait but 100% well worth it. We ordered the beef tartar, meatballs and tortellini. Mike was our super friendly server and took the time to tell us about the menu and wine list. The ambiance was point for date night. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing house made pasta and wood fired pizza both made from Italian flour. Wow!!! Our group had the salumi pizza, tortellini, duck confet linguini pasta, and rack of lamb... all outstanding. Also loved Water buffalo asagio Cheese, beetroot salad smoked olives, and focaccia as appetizers. Outstanding wine selection and service. I will defintely be back and highly recommend!!

I was at Harth today (ate mussels). I am celiac. I love the atmosphere and my friends enjoy it very much. I don’t want to disappoint them and ask to go elsewhere. I have tried Harth 5-6 times tried to convince myself each time I’ll find something there that won’t make me sick but to no avail. I am confused why, with a connection to Bellissimo, they won’t serve gf pasta but they do at the other restaurant. I watched my friends eat awesome looking pasta! And I’ve got to say, if I’m told I can ‘have a salad’ again at any restaurant, I’ll scream. I know gf pasta takes longer to cook, and just tell me the disclaimer it’s gluten friendly and charge me the extra 3$. We certainly are used to the markup elsewhere. The last 2 times I’ve had to start taking my own gf crackers for the cheese boards, again but really, it’s not hard to make allowances for us and stock gf crackers in the kitchen-even moxies polo does. I feel like an idiot walking in with a bag of gf ritz crackers. I do know having celiac customers can be a pain but I don’t want to stay at home or go there and watch my girlfriends eat. I want to love the place-there’s not much in south st vital like it. Today at lunch, I couldn’t get a cheese board-not allowed to deviate from the menu, although we all know in 5 hours, they will be cutting cheese for the dinner menu. I chose the mussels and they tasted off but figured it was me. I’ve been fighting nausea and shivers since and have been lying down most of the afternoon and evening and my arthritis has flared terribly. It is such a shame. I’ll keep going for my girlfriends, it’s what I do but please, just please pick up a bag of gf pasta, throw it in a pot so I can share in their wonderful experience!

Took my wife there on a date night. Brooke was our server, real good experience... Great wine selection, freshly made spaghetti (the best I've ever had), the veal chop was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend the Burrata. We ordered everything as a shared meal so we could experience more dishes. Will definately be going again. Next visit will be to try out the deli meats. Keep up the good work guys!

I had a really lovely evening at this restaurant with my friends a few nights ago. I'm still thinking about how much I enjoyed the ambiance, the meal and the experience. Our server Emanuel was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and helpful. We shared the focaccia and cheese board to start. For the main, I had the 1/2 chicken and I shared brussel sprouts with one other who had the lamb. Two other people each had a pasta dish. Everyone commented that the food was delicious. Everything was hot, well seasoned and well presented. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing Italian pastas, pizzas, and more! Pasta are hand-made and pizzas cooked in the wood fire oven. Incredible ambiance perfect for date nights. Great selection of wines and friendly servers who give the best pairing recommendations. Truly an enjoyable experience every visit.

We love this restaurant. The mushroom pizza & duck pasta are our favourite menus to go to & we always get beef tartare, which is just amazing. Their bread, cheese and pasta are exceptional. But I wouldn't order seafood from here. We've ordered oysters a few times but it was disappointing and I got really sick the next few days. Meh.. can't have it all. Overall, still our favourite restaurant to go to in town.

We were in for a birthday party a few days ago and had a really great meal. Someone at our table said that ordering was the hard part. Eating was the easy part. It was all delicious. It's quite authentic Italian food for the most part and we all left saying we would be back. The meatballs were a big hit. Scallops were mediocre. Pizza was delicious although a bit too spicy for all but one person at our table. The pasta's were all very good. We will be back soon and see if they can hit 5 stars this time.

I've been to Harth a few times now and am already looking forward to next time. A few of my favourite things they serve here are: the Burrata, the Tagliatelle, the Mussels (which are now with clams - looking forward to trying this), and the grilled Sourdough Bread. I usually love olives, but theirs are much too smokey for me. I have also not really enjoyed their desserts...yet. Hoping they step up their dessert game to match the rest of their delicious food. Thank you for such a lovely addition in the South end of the city - was greatly needed.

We came in with a group of twelve for my birthday party, and had a fantastic experience. With such a large group, we did a family-style meal instead of ordering off of the menu individually: everyone paid $35 (not including drinks), and the kitchen prepared group portions of pizzas, pastas and appetizers for us to share. The food tasted incredible and very fresh. I think we cleaned every single plate! The server even offered us an extra pizza for the table at no charge since we scarfed down the others so quickly. One of my guests was vegan, and they made sure to bring her some altered versions of the appetizers, and a personal vegan pasta to make up for the food that she could not eat. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. It was a fantastic experience where everyone left full and happy.

Have you ever gone to a fancy restaurant and had a tough time picking what to 3qt because it all sounds so good? Harth does that, but better. It's designed so everything you order is meant to be shared. It's awesome! We got to try a little bit of 8 different dishes, they were all delicious, and I'd recommend them all! The duck confit pasta was easily a top favorite. We WILL be returning.

Had dinner with another couple last nite and was very impressed! Although the server brought a different wine than we ordered ; it was a great pick! Atmosphere is a bit noisy but has a good buz! Probably would ask for a booth in future. All the courses were delicious and beautifully presented. Service was good. We ordered the steak, chicken, veal and a pasta to share... More than enough for 4! We will be back.
