This Winery belongs to the category of Wine bar.
Quality place with a great selection of tapas and of course wine. It has the feeling of a quality restaurant that you would expect to find in a bigger city. It is a more expensive place but wine is never cheap!
Fantastic! Food was amazing! Meatballs are delicious. Server was very helpful and sweet. One of my new favourite places. Live music was an added bonus.
A good first impression. I finally went to London Wine Bar after hearing great things from several different people. While I don't think the wine bar lived up to all the hype, I had a good first experience overall and would go back again. They have a good selection of wine at different price points and great service. They have a selection of different boards to choose from (charcuterie) which were pretty good overall. They do have a larger menu available, but only on Wednesdays. I found this to be a bit odd, but luckily I wasn't that hungry. What I really enjoyed most about this place was the live music - paired perfectly with the wine.
great service and great drinks.
PATIO, during Covid they stepped up to help front line workers. We need more Biz like this and the only way that will happen if you try them out.
Great food and wine. Wonderful live music the night we were there. Can't wait to go back.
Cozy place with great menu! Slow service though and sometimes will close early.
Best place to for great wine selections, cozy evening with loved ones and ofcourse...the charcuterie boards and wine flights!!
Wonderfully cozy and friendly.
Unfortunately we came on a night when the kitchen closed early and they didn't have the wine we wanted in stock. Wound up leaving and getting fast food down the road.
I’ve been here on two separate occasions. Both times and different waiters, I had the same terrible service. I can’t even finish my sentence without the waiter walking away. Lacked interpersonal skills and didn’t really seem to have any reaction or care in the world for us. The utensils were also dirty and the glasses he gave us for the water had crumbs and specks of dirt at the bottom of it. It also took some time to get our order taken, the food and our bill even though it wasn’t very busy and he was at the bar looking for something to do. The food was just good. I think it’s pretty overpriced for what you get. I paid $5 for three button mushrooms with bacon bits in it and $7 for creme brûlée in a mason jar smaller than the average ramekin. In conclusion, I probably wouldn’t come back.
Went for my birthday, and loved it! The owners have provided an incredible wine list, and a delicious menu. Excellent quality ingredients, and attentive service. The live music made it a special evening, and created a beautiful atmosphere. I strongly recommend going with loved ones!
Can not wait to go back again
Wine ... and Glenvit!!!
Came here for a date night to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday - this was the first time we had been and it exceeded all of our expectations!! Would definitely recommend for a date night or a girls night! The atmosphere was great for a date night - dim lighting & candles, great jazz-type music. Our waitress was super friendly and outgoing - she helped us decide on menu items to select, she continuously kept our wine glasses full, cleared the plates as soon as we were done to get ready for the next round of tapas, and was joking around with us all night. The food was AMAZING. Everything we got was absolutely delicious. We did a few rounds of tapas so we could try different things - would highly recommend doing this as you'll want to try it all!! We started with the single charcuterie board, the brussels sprouts, and the pear & brie crostini (which they gave us for free as a sample!) - all delicious. The charcuterie board had a great selection of fresh meats and delicious cheeses as well as fresh fruit and a melon cinnamon salsa (which was to die for). Our second round included the pierogies, patatas bravas, and a sausage and mushroom crostini - again, all amazing (we could have eaten 5 more orders of those pierogies - definitely get these!). We ended off with the roasted cauliflower, polenta fries (so deliciously crispy), and a capicola & pesto crostini. With each round of food, we were expecting something to be off - but it kept getting better and better. We were there until close and if they weren't closing, we probably would have tried everything on the menu!! My only complaint - the menu in the restaurant is different than the one on their website. They have many additional things in the restaurant and don't have a few things that are listed on their website. One other warning - the bill added up pretty quickly and since it was tapas style, we didn't keep track of the cost and it was so easy to just keep ordering more - so were surprised when we got the bill. That was our own fault - would just recommend keeping track of what you order and the cost of each if you have a budget! We will definitely be back!!
Always wanted a jazz bar in London. This is worth it. Amazing place. Chill, relax, enjoy good food and wine. Music is amazing. If you're a jazz fan like myself. You would not be disappointed. Its a place to be at. Def 5 stars!!
Cozy ambience, great entertainment, food was good, a wine lovers paradise.
Very cozy, nice atmosphere
Such a cool place!
Kinda randomly stumbled upon this place with a friend and we were pleasently surprised. Very nice atmosphere, live music, reasonable prices and super friendly staff.
Delicious food, delightful selection of wine, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff. Perfect date night!
Such a wonderful place! The service is out of the gosh darn world!!
Such a fantastic local restaurant. Amazing food. Incredibly knowledgeable wait staff who know how to pair food with wine impeccably. Not surprising though. Worth another return visit for sure.
The servers know the wine list and are happy to help you pair together drinks with food. Drinks were also very reasonably priced.
Just spent an amazing evening at the Wine Bar. The wine was excellent, food was fantastic, and the service was great. It is a very laid back, relaxed spot to enjoy wine and good company in London. I highly recommend
Stopped in for a quick glass of wine before a dinner elsewhere and found it hard to leave. Amazing wine and they surprised my partner with a brownie and ice cream when they realized it was her birthday!
Loved the food, the wine and the menu! We'll sure be back soon! I loved my birthday cake!
Great atmosphere. They have a good selection of wines and boards to go along with them. The staff is very knowledgable and kind.
From their kitchen to my front porch, with all the fixings for an amazing charcuterie board, they even brought the wine! What amazing service and the extra effort to make it safe and healthy for us. Thanks to the whole team at London Wine Bar for making social distancing a little more bearable.
Oh My Gosh! Do you really know your wines and need a place to go to expand your growing palate? Are you blissfully ignorant to wine but you know you want to have a nice adult drink in a cozy atmosphere with your jeans and a tee shirt? Well, for both of you travelers, I have the place for you! The London wine bar is the flagship restoraunt in the London area. They have been so successful that the second location has already opened in Wortley Village! During the summer they have a small patio. During the winter they have mulled wine (If you like hot and sweet; I recommend this hug in a mug). The owner is almost a certified sommelier (maybe she is by the time you're reading this). They have a sommelier who helps curate their wine for their monthly wine club. If you want a fun night with the wife, or to impress a date for a grate date. This is the place for you!
London needs more locations like this. The atmosphere is perfect for a couple's night out or a night out with a small group of friends. The live music on the night I went was a perfect accompaniment to the wine and food which were also amazing. I can't wait to go back. Someone told me they have a wine club so I'll have to look I to that for sure might help me get back a little more often.
Great staff, amazing food, lovely atmosphere! Would come here way more often if parking downtown wasn't such a pain!
Holy great find in London ????. Selection and staff knowledge of the wines is impressive. Wide selection of "by the glass" and they have a wine flight experience that is perfect for sampling on a special occasion.
Londonlicious $40 wine pairing. Plus music
Great food, awesome wine, relaxed ambience - a go-to spot for me!
I'm a sucker for their cheese boards, the board went great with the Iron Spike on tap. Very reasonably priced, highly suggested!
I am baffled by all these 5 stars reviews! Overpriced, a menu with no effort, no taste and sub-par wine. This was a truly disappointing experience and it could be so much better. The ambiance is cozy and the atmosphere is romantic but with paper napkins, dirty dishes and unidentified black "things" in every glass of water, the charm fades away very quickly. I would avoid. Update: I just learned they do not have a kitchen in the back, why would you serve menus like a restaurant with no kitchen????
nice out door patio, good food, great service
Such a nice place... loved it
Great music, service could not have been better
Best meal ever!
High quality food and wonderful menu featuring excellent tapas, chacouterie boards , flat breads to share. Wine list features by the glass in assorted sizes, or bottles to share. Live entertainment: awesome!!! You have to eat here. Reservation recommended
Love love love this place! Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Wine recommendations and fabulous tapas (try the Brie and pear)!
We came here for the oyster special that they have every week. I will say that the restaurant itself was laid out very openly. The servers were attentive, but we had come quite early and we got to listen to them gossiping together at the desk, as it was pretty quiet. So that was slightly disconcerting. Also, the oysters - while tasty, we rent shucked very well. We encountered a whole bunch of shell bits, and most were still partially stuck to it. So that kind of sucked. Overall it was okay. But I dont think that its somewhere we will go again.
A little on the pricey side but it is a great place for a girls night or a nice night out with a significant other. I have never stayed for dinner but my friends and I often stop in for wine and appetizers. The staff is extremely friendly and are great at making suggestions. Classy and intimate atmosphere. If you like wine it's definitely a spot you need to try.
We ordered take out last night: pork belly flat bread, patatas brava and panzanelle salad. A good amount of food for two people, well priced and very delicious. Ordering and pick up was easy!
This used to be one of our favourite spots, but we've had really poor service the last few times we've been in. This past visit had us waiting an hour and 25 minutes for our main dishes and when the server brought them out, they only brought out 3/4 and instead of returning to the Kitchen to get the 4th, a salad, they cleared and wiped down a table instead while everyone's food got cold. After they cleared the main course, it took another 20 minutes for them to visit with water requested at clearing. The waitress also had a poor idea of what vegan means and promised to return with dessert ideas but never did. We will not be returning and recommend that if you visit, have a light dinner beforehand because it's going to be a long wait.
Love the Friday night live music, friendly staff and the menu
Had the charcuterie board for two. It was the perfect amount of food and presented well even in a takeout container. There was a solid spread of different flavours of fruits, meats, and cheeses. I would highly recommend it for a nice picnic on the grass. If you’re looking for a great local place to support definitely order from here. Mario and Laura are running a great place!
Great wine selections and tapas
Great live music. The atmosphere is fun.
Tasty charcuterie and wine
The atmosphere is amazing
Good selection of drinks
Ordered the charcuterie board for two and it was delicious! A perfect way to still have date night, but in the comfort of our own home during a time of social distancing. Order came at the perfect time, delivered right to our door, with a hand-written thank you card. Such a sweet and personal touch. Highly recommend ☺️
Great food! Great flavours! Great service! Great atmosphere! Good for a date night, business luncheon or night out with the girls. My personal go-to is the Pasta frits charcuterie with a glass of red from Bogle Vinyards. Bon appetit!
Terrible service
Amazing little place. Highly recommend for bringing a date! Dress nice!
The food is incredible and the service is friendly and knowledgeable! When I want a lovely night out, this will be my go to. No complaints.
Excellent small plates, a good variety of drinks and great service. The 5 spice pork belly in particular was quite good.
Snacks are great. Good performance.
LOVE IT
Had an amazing time here, the waitress was amazing and super helpful. The food and drinks were delicious
I've been waiting for something like this to open in London! Very intimate space and comfortable atmosphere. They have a great selection of wines and beautiful artisan boards to pair with them, including vegetarian options. If going on a weekend night I would recommend making a reservation.
The owner takes feedback very seriously. I decided to give them another chance and try out the Wortley location. This truly had all of the Toronto style bistro I was hoping to finally see in London. First restaurant to truly take a negative experience and make it positive that I have dealt with.
Great wine. Wonderful appitizers.
Excellent food & wine pairings. Very knowledgeable, an overall great night. Would recommend to anyone.
Last night was our 3rd visit to the Talbot Street location. We love going for the pre-set menu (with the wine pairings) as it gives you the opportunity to try new wines. Be aware, they do not substitute from what is listed on the menu. This particular menu didn't have the usual vegetarian options. No app option (real Parmesan is NOT vegetarian) and only a salad for the main. They allowed the portobello to be served without the sirloin after our waitress checked with the kitchen. It was delicious with caramelized onion and brie. My Dad and BF both loved the fried gnocchi. Last night felt as busy as the previous 2 visits, however, seemed as the staff was backed up. We waited 45 minutes between dinner and dessert, which had not happened in the past. The creme brulee (my BFs fav) tasted like salt and the custard wasn't set. We mentioned the salt and she came back from the kitchen to state it shouldn't taste like salt. Ummm. but it does? Either way, she rectified it quickly by offering a lovely slice of chocolate cake to take home. I had the lemon tart, which was good, but also the pastry didn't seem quite cooked. I'm guessing they ran out of dessert last night, so had to scramble at the end? Either way... don't let this deter you. It's a cool little place, with great music, awesome ambiance, and a nice wine selection. We will for sure be back.
A hidden gem! Delicious charcuterie and local eats. Great wine selections with friendly, knowledgable staff. The staff are more than accommodating and offer a very welcoming atmosphere. Live music on the weekends is an added bonus. If you haven't been to this place check it out asap! Highly recommended!
Nice cozy place.
To say I love this place is an understatement. I am here weekly at the least. They have done so much with this place with the short time they've had it. It goes without saying, but the wine is fantastic (even though I tend to stick to 1 type) - they have flights so you can try many different kinds and find your one. But the food is also great, especially taking into account how small the kitchen is! Pure ingenuity! Probably the best charcuterie in town; the blue cheese used is dreamy. Oh they sell oysters! always a plus
Enjoyed a lovely tapas and wine. Nice live music in a cozy place on a cold night.
First time visit & enjoyed it very much; excellent entertainment, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back.
We enjoyed the Londonlicious menu and had an excellent evening!
I love the London Wine Bar! It's a great, comfortable environment for everyone from new wine drinkers (no pressure or judgement! You can ask as many questions as you need), to the experts. I really enjoy the live music on the weekends as well. Perfect place to bring friends and family for wine, local meats and cheeses, and even dessert :) Thanks to the helpful and friendly staff.
Good food great service and atmosphere.. will diffinately go back.
Great environment for a first date, you'll get alot of points. They had live blues when I was there and the food was simple but great also craft beers for you hipsters. My only complaint and this is personal only, is it's a bit too formal.
Authentic European decor, food and presentation. Laura and Mario do a terrific job delivering the highest quality at really fair prices. Great for a long dinner date or a quick drink and bite to eat.
Expensive but good food and wine.
Well-run establishment where you can tell that the ownership is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that patrons always have a great time!
Very relaxing.. And great for a girls night out oe a first date
Incredible food and wines (especially the prosciutto) and the live music is unbeatable. Staff are helpful with recommendations and the owners really care about what they're putting out!
Visited the last two evenings for dinner. Food was delicious, wine pairings excellent and the staff was sensational!! Attentive, funny and friendly! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My boyfriend and I have enjoyed a few meals here over the years. The nightly deals are always great and when there is live music, it has never disappointed! The knowledge of the servers of the wine and food is always fantastic as well. Last night, we decided to order a bottle of wine and an app for delivery to take advantage of the new law allowing for liquor delivery. The service was fantastic and the wine was delicious! Please make sure to support this local business, it is a gem you don't want to miss!!
Have been to London Wine Bar multiple times and every time has been a wonderful experience. The staff are great, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is like no other in London. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out with family, friends or a first date. They even have plenty of gluten-free food options which is a huge bonus!
Great food and amazing service! The staff were so welcoming and the live music contributed to the perfect ambiance. I highly recommend going here.
Excellent food, service, wine and atmosphere. Very cozy and inviting. I am glad to have discovered this place. Highly recommend!
Did their Londonlicious menu with wine pairings for $35. We were impressed with the food, service, and the music.
Cant wait to go back!
Excellent food, wine and atmosphere. Takeout is amazing as well!
So cute and cozy
went here last weekend for the live music, it was great! such a relaxing atmosphere. I went with 3 of my girlfriends and we had a blast. their food is so yummy and great to share with friends. we made a reservation because they are a popular place on the weekends and its obvious why! we each had a flight of wine and their variety is great, not to mention the prices are very affordable. would certainly go again!
Small, but cozy. Good food to Share. Love music on Saturdays. A really nice place for a date night, or catching up with a friend!
I continue to be amazed! Moved to London 2 years ago and found this local gem. My wife and I order from the London Wine Bar at least twice a month. We like to think we have tried the entire menu by now, along with their weekly themed dinners. Food is always tasty and hot, and whether we pick it up or have it delivered, it is always served with a smile. I decided to figure out how to write a Google review specifically to give these hard working folks the shout out that they deserve! If you haven't tried it yet, please do! Continue to support local, because after all, this is the type of place we want to be here when celebrating the end of lockdown. Thank you Laura and Mario, sincerely.
Great service, very small , food is on a board but just delicious and drink specials were very reasonable. The band was pretty good too .....oh and I suggest a reservation
Always have a great time coming here with friends or for a date night. The food and wine is constantly amazing and the staff is so friendly!
Fantastic place for wine and fresh oysters
Great experience, great service, great place to spend the evening!
Best first date spot in the city.
Great food, wine, and service. They also have cool daily specials as well as live music. My gf goes here regularly and I finally got a chance to join her. Will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere and wine pairing were awesome qith the meal. Would love of they came exactly at the same time but great food and drink. Would definetly go again.
Love this place! Always loved the food, atmosphere, friendly staff, and the wine. Now we get to enjoy takeout while looking forward to coming back after the pandemic!
I absolutely love it here. The staff are very knowledgeable about the wines. And the charcuterie boards are the best I've had.
Great atmosphere, loved the service from the owners. Genuine, delicious charcuterie board, cheese was fantastic , (local)! Live music, will be back, Reminds me of España!
Loved the oysters
Very lovely experience. Staff were amazing and personable. We asked to have some of the glasses blind to test our palate, and they were accommodating and playful. Great service, great food platters - Artisan board is a must try!
I was in London for a business trip and stumbled upon the London Wine Bar. It was the best dine in experience I had during my stay. The staff - from the cook, to the server, to the manager - were all outstanding. The wine was phenomenal, food was delicious, conversation was great and service was exceptional. Very comfortable and cozy environment! Thank you for making my stay that much more enjoyable !! I know I'll be hitting this place up anytime I am in London in the future !!!
I've heard so many great things about this place. The food, atmosphere, and service are always great. Laura is awesome and her wine pairings are always on point. This is one of my favourite places in London.
Tasty food, great people, and wide variety of wines
Food, wine, and service were excellent. Although they have a wide range of food and wine selections, I found it affordable and something for every budget. Laura (the owner) is lovely!
I love this place!
Good wine selection and food
A nice elegant place for apps, but also meals . Huge selections of wine, samplers, and charcuterie.
I absolutely love this place. The wine list is amazing and always changing. The prices are very fair. I really enjoy the charcuterie boards because the meats, cheeses, and fruit are out of this world. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed during the week and weekends are filled with live jazz and blues music. Try to get in the wine club!
I went to wine bar with two friends yesterday, where every other time I have been there it has been a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, this time our service was absolutely terrible. Every time our server brought our drinks she could not remember who ordered which drink, which was not a huge deal at first. Then she brought over a drink no one ordered. Fast forward to paying our bills, where we were the last table left as the restaurant was closing soon. She initially overcharged all of us by $20-$50 each, which we obviously noticed. She spent 15 minutes trying to adjust the bills, coming over with another round of incorrect bills telling us ‘to do her a favour and the bills are within dollars of each other’ so we can just pay these bills because it’s close enough (where they were again, all of the incorrect drinks for each of us on the bills). While at our table she also pulled OFF her mask to speak to us which made all of us uncomfortable. Then she proceeded to apologize and blame her coworker who had just left for making her uncomfortable while she was serving us. She told us she was actually a ‘competent server’ at her other job, if we were to see her there instead. All of us legitimately wondered if she was under the influence of something based on the service we had. Hands down the most unprofessional service I’ve ever experienced, which is a shame because every other experience I’ve had at wine bar has been lovely.
I went here for the first time with my husband after our anniversary dinner. We are both big into wine and this place is a great hidden gem. The wine list is great and the food they have is great for pairing. I have not tried the food yet but will the next time I am there which will be soon!
Great place. Quiet with excellent service.
Delicious and unique food! The taste is always incredible! It’s all beautifully prepared and packed well for takeout!
My first experience at London Wine Bar was during Londonlicious before an event at Bud Gardens. In my opinion, a bar offering a set menu in the downtown core should be able to successfully cater to event patrons, and this wasn't the case with us. We arrived just before 6pm for a 7:30 show planning to order from the set Londonlicious menu, so we assumed that would be plenty of time. We didn't get our appetizers from the kitchen until 7, even after our server had informed the kitchen that we had to be at the event for 7:30. Our server was great and did the best she could for us. But we were really perplexed at how long the kitchen took to serve us, given that our ordered appetizers were cold dishes and the whole menu we ordered from was set, so you'd think the food should have been fairly well prepared in advance. I wouldn't come back here for a meal and especially not before an event, but it's a cozy environment for a night of wine and light food if you're not in a rush.
Great date joint...delicious small plates and live music on weekends!
Very cosy. Service was great. Was quite satisfied by the end of it. Is a little pricy but they have specials everyday. Their food is also pretty good, is recommend trying the garlic shrimp.
Great place to relax and enjoy wonderful food and great wine. I'm not sure how often they have live music but the musicians were really good both the times we have been there.
Cosy atmosphere, good selection of wine, may be a bit pricy for some people but definitely worth it
Incredible service, great food and wine selection. Everything about our visit exceeded expectations. Our server was so knowledgeable and made perfect recommendations based on our tastes.
Friendly service, great selection of drinks and delicious menu items. Looking forward to a return visit soon. Thanks!
Can't say enough about this place. We are always greeted by the same server with a smile on her face. The food and wine never disappoint. Cozy little space.
Went there tonight with friends. Excellent food. Waitress was awesome. Highly recommend
Thank you for a great meal, service and entertainment. We will be back soon
I like
Amazing atmosphere, especially with live music. Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Laura is awesome!
This is a unique new experience in London with the best wine list in the region, local craft beer and fresh, locally sourced foods for their charcuterie boards. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the patio is a wonderful addition on lovely summer evenings. The decor is welcoming with surprising features and a comfy lounge. Also a great place for a cup of coffee.
Always super nice staff, good selection on wines - and they recently increased their food menu. Lots to choose from! Just be ready to chat for a while, very small and cozy place, so the kitchen can be a wait sometimes. One of my favourites, going to check out the wortley location someone soon.
Hidden gem. Wonderful food and wine. Tapas is amazing! London Wine Bar was incredibly generous to the community throughout COVID lockdowns. #eatlocal #supportlocalbusinesses
Awesome place. Cool vibe, great food and wine.
To say that London Wine Bar is my favourite restaurant in town would be a huge understatement. The food is out of this world (the salmon trio and baked brie are two of my favourites) & their wines are always ones that I've never heard of before but always LOVE. I go almost every weekend and the staff has never been anything but extraordinary - super helpful, super down to earth people! Can't wait to try out their upcoming events! 10/10 would recommend (and do) to anyone who asks!
Awesome food and wine. The atmosphere was cozy and laid-back. I love this place.
Great charcuterie board.
Great wine selection. Interesting and delicious food.
One of my favourite spots in the city. Great food and wine at reasonable prices. And you can't beat the service either.
Went on a week night. Staff was very friendly and welcomed us right away, however, we could not stand the resturant smell and left. Was disappointed as it looks like a lovely, cozy resturant and was looking forward to having a glass of wine there.
Nice but ran out of oysters early on buck a shuck night
Tried to go for dinner last night, made a reservation for 7:45pm, during which they took my phone number. Got downtown and had trouble parking as the knights game was starting. Got to the restaurant at 7:57 and was told they gave away my reservation after 10 minutes. They then asked for my phone number again and told me they could call me when a table became available. I went elsewhere. Honestly wouldn't have been mad if they told me that they give reservations away after 10 minutes when I made it or if they had called me to say they were giving it away. But they did neither and I left a little irate.
Reservation mixup, and the fact that the type of PEI oysters was not known, was dissappointing. Food was good.
Not comfortable
Thank you for the donation today at the Children’s emergency department!! Much appreciated!
A proper martini is stirred not shaken
Nothing not to love about this place. The owner always greets us with a smile on her face. The food and wine are always excellent and the atmosphere is unlike anything in London. Perfect for a great night out or just to hang out with your girlfriends.
Every time I visit London I spend some time at the London Wine Bar. The food is great (their Charcuterie boards are especially good) and the staff make great recommendations regarding pairings. Speaking of the wine, they have a great selection. Highly recommended.
Good food. Tapas sized for about 3 people.
Perfect for Londonliscious!!
Love the atmosphere and warm environment. Gem of a place with inviting staff and great food :)
Amazing amazing amazing !! The food was so good and our service was stellar. Will definitely be back. Super reasonable prices and amazing wine list. Super impressed!
