Amazing food. My husband had ‘seafood chowder’. I had ‘beet gnocchi’. Yum, yum. I had Alberta style Bloody Caesar with smoked bacon lol. Believe me. So good. Be ware though. No Crown Royal. My husband had to suffer drinking Diet Coke ???????? Such friendly staff. Jonathan from Montreal is super nice. To get here all you have to do is ski at Lake Louise. Hey, it was so nice that we came back again the following day. This time is was Shank of Lamb which was beyond tender. And for very first time I ate Kale Caesar salad. I ate it all, that says it all.

Best service and best food! And the view is superb! Our server was Jenny K and she was awesome! She did everything a server should do: bring food and drink on time, check on you when it’s just the right time and of course smile and chat with you. The quality and presentation of the food matched the scenery: majestic. We had the share platter with duck wings and prosciutto and many more delightful items. Then it was on to the cassoulet which was just delicious; could not stop eating it. Absolutely recommend going there and you are likely to see a bear from the gondola too.

Who puts an upscale restaurant in the middle of a ski run?? We just wanted to stop to warm up and meet up with some friends who were already there warming up. We walked in to look for our friends, not realizing it was a "wait to be seated" kind of place. We found our own table next to our friends, at which point the waitress made us feel like we had committed some cardinal sin for bypassing what must have been a host station with no host In sight Her attitude thru the entire time of our visit was rude. The drinks that we got were good enough, but we definitely "learned our lesson" and won't stop there again.

Fancy food with a nice view. The kids meal could have had a little more vegetable matter but it was cheesy and it is nice that hey have a kids menu. The decor is nice but the single pain windows make it cold if you sit by them. Service was good and food was tasty.

It’s 3-5 mins hike down from gandola and under there’s a nice museum under the restaurant. I wish there was more vegetarian options or chicken options. Felt like I was eating plants or eating bread dip with cheese ( swollen my mouth inside ) hard cold after 2 mins . only enjoy baked potatoes & pasta . But view is nice to sit outside .

What a crock. First, you have to walk almost a kilometer up and down a path from the gondola stop to get there. While the view was gorgeous, $24 for a burger and fries was surprising, especially when the service was slow to non-existent. Not worth it. Plus, gondola does NOT take you to the top, only about 3/4 way up.

Overlooking Lake Louise, so it should offer a very nice view. We are not very lucky, the smoke from the wildfire makes everything not clearly visible. From there, we hiked up Pika Trail to the Ptarmigan View point.

Very slow service, waited 15 minutes to have our first interaction with our server after being seated. Waited another 10 minutes for our beverages. Only touched the table after we had finished our meal, and then wait 20 minutes for the bill. Food was ok not great, seafood chowder lacked flavour and seafood. Burger was over cooked, fries were good. Would not recommend as it was over priced for what you get.

I purchased a Lake Louise Gondola Ticket together with a dine in experience to save money. We rode the gondola to the top, you have an option for a chairlift or the closed one. From the top, you have to walk to the restaurant. Wear comfortable shoes. It’s quite a long walk/hike. The tickets cost like $35, they gave us a $100 food voucher when we got the Redeem the Gondola Tickets. The food are very expensive but delicious! Not enough to fill you up! Service was good. The view from the deck is beautiful! You will see the Canadian Rockies including the Lake Louise. It’s a must see! Hiking back to the Gondola ride to go down from the Mountain was unbearable for us, we went down to the bottom of the Restaurant, to like a somewhat Animal Museum and ask for a ride back, they just need to schedule it but it’s free. If you are in the area, it’s a must see!

Wow, such a disappointing experience. Never had such a rude waitress in my life. We came there to celebrate my birthday and asked to move to other table cause we felt chilly, we were told since covid19 there is no such an option... but we saw other people moving and it was OK... So we moved cause kids couldn’t bear this wind:( waitress came and yelled at us that it’s forbidden and for now she will “forgive us” (we already made an order for 150$)...and will not ask us to leave the place.. We all felt shocked from such a rude attitude. Maybe cause of that even the food tasted bad:((

This was quite an experience. You'll never get a view like this from anywhere else. Totally worth the pricy gondola ride to get there. Be prepared to walk a little bit to get to/from the bistro once you're up there. It might not seem very long, but after you're done eating your tasty cheese fondue, your fancy meat + cheese platter and your refreshing cocktail, walking back to the lift is gonna feel like a chore. Having said that, I would walk up the mountain by foot, if I had to, to enjoy the Whitehorn Bistro and its amazing view again.

What a great experience. Spectacular views. Wonderful food. Great service from Michelle who was a delight and could not have done a better job. All at a great price!! We booked the Chairlift with lunch and got a food credit voucher. Don't miss the Cheese Fondue which is almost big enough for 4. The chairlift up and down was serene and the views while we enjoyed lunch from the balcony were amazing. Can't say enough about this place. 10 stars!!!

Dined there twice and enjoyed both. It’s the higher end ones compared to other lodges on the slope. Table service, cleaner and heated bathrooms, better views of the slopes, fancier food and varieties of healthier choice. We tried mussels, fries, game meat platter (elk, bison, buffalo and wild boars) and best of all - slow stewed bison short ribs! For hot winter drinks, we tried and enjoyed lemon ginger (bourbon) and Irish cream. They also have a few good Canadian beers.

Amazing views. I had the Rabbit 5 ways, which was exceptional. They have a good children's menu and a nice selection of beers. The walk down from the Grizzly cable station is pretty, but walking back up when full of food may be trying for some as it's fairly steep. I pushed my 2yo in a buggy up it, which was a little bit of a workout. We went at the start of October, which is right at the end of the Summer season; we had the restaurant and views pretty much to ourselves.

We came here for a late lunch and this place was amazing! Delicious great presentation and an amazing view to boot. This place is set on top of Lake Louise so you have to take the gondola to get to this great bistro set on top of the world overlooking Lake Louise and surrounded by mountains and evergreens. The patio is huge and very inviting, inside is cozy and a nice casual feel to it. We started off with their Heirloom Tomato & Basil Salad with Buffalo Mozzarella, Quinoa, Sundried Tomato Pesto, Balsamic Reduction. Lettuce Wrap with Chicken in Coconut Peanut Sauce & Asian Slaw. Pork Belly & Scallops 48 hour cured, with Celery Root Puree, Confit Tomatoes, Fennel Corn Bilini & White Asparagus Espuma. All three of these dishes were excellent! Flavorful and colorful, the Quinoa had an amzing earthy flavor and the heirloom tomatoes were firm with a slight tartness that the mozzarella complimented it. I loved all the dishes served here, the only thing negative was that the portion was not filling. I was still hungry when i took the gondola down. This is a great place to eat if you ever have a chance and soak up the view.

This review is for the museum, not the restaurant (Google doesn't know there is a museum there I guess because it wouldn't let me change location). They have a lot of animal skins and players of animal tasks so you can recognize what's up there, and just a lot of information about the various animals living in the area. Awesome view and friendly staff is about all that is good here. They didn't serve in the outside patio so our party had to be split up as someone sat inside to order and then wait to pay and receive the order before re-joining the party outside. Tea is made from hot water from an urn, and thus not actually boiling. Not a great experience for some simple hot drinks.

Had a GREAT day of skiing and when the light got just a bit too flat on the backside we decided to head in for a snack at the Bistro. Absolutely outstanding. We felt safe, we were warmly welcomed and our food was absolutely delicious. Thanks LLSR for a fabulous day and wonderful break spot at Whitehorn Bistro. Best views in the whole valley. This restaurant has by far one of the best views in Banff (it's located halfway up Lake Louise mountain, you need to get there by chair lift). My burger was surreal and I would highly recommend. It came with fries which were nothing special. Staff were nice, but the highlight of this place is the view while you eat.

The view can't be beaten and the food was delicious. We shared a kale salad, a medium rare bison steak and a wild-caught salmon. Absolutely delicious! We ended the meal with a chocolate cake that came with the best mint mouse! Absolutely recommend it! Service was very good too.

Make sure to try the Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Seared Scallops and the Grizzly Fizz!! The steak dish had the most diversely flavourful sauces and the steak itself was rich and too good for words. The mock tail Grizzly Fizz was delicious. Altogether, mind-blowing. Service was amazing. My waitress Jennie K, was so friendly, gave us incredible recommendations, and was so much fun to talk to. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the atmosphere was comfortable and classy. Overall, everything was top-notch!

Highly recommended! Great Bistro, not to be missed if you are traveling Alberta Lake Louise! Spectacular view without having to hike as you can go up via gondola, enjoying the view while on your ride or just sitting at the patio with a glass of your favorite ????. Great food! Amber is our waitress. She gave us excellent recommendation on both main dishes and dessert. Love each dish we have. The Bistro looks ordinary from outside but the fantastic views of both Victoria Glacier, Lake Louise and the whole array of surrounding mountain peaks are astonishing. The restaurant provide very high quality dishes with similar price as in city. This exceeds my expectations. Thumbs up.

The restaurant is at the top of the Lake Louise ski lift . We were there on a beautiful sunny day in late August and the vista - looking down at Lake Louise & the Victoria glacier from our table on the outdoor deck - was fabulous. The waiting staff was friendly, and they were careful vis-a-vis distancing. Mostly, the food was fantastic. In particular, we ordered 2 appetizers (french fries & garlic mushrooms) and both were delicious. The chowder was disappointing, but the seafood casoulet was very good. The ride up on the ski lift costs $40/person. When you buy the lift ticket, they offer a package price for $65/person. Don't bother with the package; all you get is $25 toward your bill in the restaurant. Over all, this was a delightful experience. There was no line-up for the lift, the rides up & down were breathtaking (if the weather is fine, choose to ride in an open chair rather than an enclosed gondola), and the short walk from the lift to the restaurant through alpine meadows was romantic. We were turned off by the mob scene in Lake Louise village. Driving 5 minutes up to the ski hill to escape the crowd was a great decision!

I’m not sure the review is totally fair given how hungry you get during a day of riding. But my food was delicious. No issues getting a table around 12:45. Great service. I do remember thinking the burger was a little light on the bacon (one small piece). All the guys I was with enjoyed their food. A tad pricey but I guess that’s to be expected on the hill.

This restaurant is BRILLIANT and probably our most favourite in Banff AND Jasper. We completely underestimated this restaurant and were blown away. The ride up there is great with the option of either a chair lift or enclosed pod. The staff were so friendly and flexible about where you wanted to sit and really knowledgeable about the menu, and able to give useful recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious and views simply spectacular! Whilst we didn't take advantage of the shuttle to lake Louise, this is a great option, as parking was free and plentiful. Highly recommended!!

What an incredible view of the Canadian Rockies and Lake Louise. Excellent food. We had the fondue and it was fantastic. We also saw a Grizzly bear and cubs from the gondola as were traveled down the mountain.
