IVE NEVER HAD SUCH AMAZING SERVICE IN MY LIFE. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the man who served us, Max, was probably the most helpful and friendly human I’ve ever met. If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would. He took his time and explained absolutely everything on the menu. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The quality of food was awful. We ordered food to go and not only were the portions smaller than normal, the food was not fresh at all. No napkins, take out boxes were leaking. Food looked so unappetizing . Ordered la Strada chicken ....there was 2 brocolis and 5 pieces of carrot and chicken for 29$....what a joke. The fried calamari was awful. It had a wet texture to it. We asked for bread for 6 people. They gave us 3 tiny pieces of bread. We asked for hot oil for the pasta, they gave us an extra dipping sauce for the calamari ??? Ceaser salad was DRENCHED in sauce. It was almost a soup. Blew 100$ at this place and will never recommend it. They have gone downhill and it's been a while now.

Ok here we go, Made a reservation 3 days prior to our 9th anniversary. I requested a specific table in the back next to the window. So we show up 5 min early and are taken to our table, which has 4 young kids jumping around directly behind us. That's odd enough how you have two 40 year olds celebrating and you place them next to a kids birthday party. No biggie, we pop the cork on our $120 bottle of wine that we have kept for 8 months for this night. We order an appetizer each and proceed to order our main course. My wife asked if we could have some hot bread "Sorry, we don't have bread" Ok I'll have the filet mignon medium with a baked potato and garden vegetables "Sorry, chef says we don't have baked potato tonight" My wife thinks fast and say ok we'll have risotto instead. Italian restaurant right, they must have..... Waitress comes back "Sorry, don't have" Now we're feeling discouraged and maybe made the wrong choice for our special night. Ready for this........... Waitress comes back, "Sorry guys, we're all out of filet mignon" "Ok get me a cork please, we're leaving!!!" "So I cancel the order?" Laughing we both say "We haven't ordered anything" On the way out I asked for a bowl of cereal, but they wouldn't have milk I'm sure. Complete waste of time, never going back, never going to recommend. We were lucky enough to run over to our favorite Italian in LaSalle, Campagnola. Booked solid they were still able to find us a table and offer us an unforgettable night. La Strada, you not only lost $200 on the night, my wife and I wine and dine ever single week, you do the math.

Last night my boyfriend and I went to LaStrada for dinner and we were welcomed with a warm and friendly greeting and then seated in one of the many seats with a lovely view of the canal. Even though there isnt much going on this time of year it was still an enjoyable view. Our waiter was also friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the minestrone soup which was better than homemade, the veggies were still firm, I would love to know how they acheive that... this was followed by a mountain of green salad, with a light vingrette dressing,.. wonderful. My boyfriend had the rib steak, blue and told me it was cooked to perfection, or I should I say uncooked to perfection. Worth every dime. I choose the mussels marinara, which were also tender and delicious and here it goes my only slight complaint.... the sauce was just a bit too salty. This detail was quickly forgotten when our espresso allongees arrived, and were by far the best espress I have ever had. It was creamy perfection. I don't think I need to say that without a doubt we will be back to LaStrada again, our dining experience was a total joy.

We went to La Strada for a family gathering and it was really nice. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We had a menu a 5 course meal that was really good. The highlights for me were the calamari and the veal with marsala sauce. At the end the profiteroles were a nice little finish for the meal. As good as the food was I think the experience would not have been the same without the snagging service from the staff. They really added to the party. I would for sure recommend La Strada and I will absolutely be back.

Terrible service, at 5pm on Saturday they said there was no place for 2. The restaurant was empty it had just opened!! On top of it to my surprise at 18:30 it was still with several tables available. From kitchen to management, everything and everyone is impeccable which of course brings us to their outstanding meals. Would give it a zero if there would be an option. The person in the kitchen is surely no Italian as the food was nothing like its advertised. The whole experience there was just awful. We went for a company dinner, were presented with the Table D'Hote menu only which was way overpriced for what we got. $50 Seafood linguini where there was nothing else on the plate than old pre-cooked pasta and four crab meat sticks that certainly were not even real crab meat. Nothing else!!! Also they had the windows open and no AC on or it didnt work - it was so hot and humid in that place. Just terrible. Will certainly not return.
