I always love this restaurant... been going there for special occasion and birthdays... but last night I had an indigestion. Not sure if it's from there or something else. But since it never happened I still give them 5 stars... 2 plate and 1 entrée with 2 soft drink is 100 with tips. But it sure is worth it????

(Translated) Really beautiful warm and comfortable. The makis are fresh and delicious. The side sauces are unique and really suitable for rolls. On the other hand, their only downsides are a too small list of choices of sushi / maki / sashimi, no scallops or octopus and above all, to our great disappointment, a glaring culinary error where in the wonton soup with very delicious broth are drowned. . "fried wontons" which of course, become with a soft and elastic frying, of a very unpleasant texture to want to take them all out of the bowl !!!! We're sure these little fried wontons served "dry" with a sauce on a plate as a starter would be delicious, but in a soup ... we end up in places of good, tasty and delicious traditional boiled wontons. The service by Martin was excellent despite the fact that he had to take care of a group as well as being pressured by another employee to cut in the time he allowed us. Weird and unprofessional attitude! To discover without hesitation, but don't expect a very elaborate menu with a lot of choice. BIG PLUS: BRING YOUR WINE (Original) Vraiment beau chaleureux et confortable. Les makis sont frais et délicieux. Les sauces d'accompagnement sont uniques et vraiment adaptées aux rouleaux. Par contre leurs seuls bémols ont une liste trop restreinte de choix de sushi/maki/sashimi, pas de pétoncles ni de pieuvre et surtout, à notre grande déception, une erreur culinaire flagrante où dans la soupe wonton au bouillon fort délicieux sont noyés ... des "wontons frits" qui bien sur, deviennent avec une friture molle et élastique, d'une texture fort désagréable à vouloir tous les sortir du bol!!!! Nous sommes certains que ces petits wonton frits servis "secs" avec une sauce dans une assiette comme entrée seraient délicieux, mais dans une soupe ... nous nous retrouvons à des lieux des bons wontons traditionnels bouillis tendres goûteux et délicieux. Le service par Martin fut excellent malgré le fait qu'il devait s'occuper d'un groupe ainsi que de subir la pression d'un autre employé pour couper dans le temps qu'il nous accordait. Bizarre et non professionnel comme attitude! À découvrir sans hésitation mais ne vous attendez pas à un menu très élaboré avec beaucoup de choix. GROS PLUS : C'EST UN APPORTEZ VOTRE VIN

If I could give no stars to this restaurant I would. I am Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. They clame to be “allergy friendly “ when really THEY ARENT. So I have (allergies to gluten) and I simply just asked the weighter to switch my noodles to rice cause I can’t eat the noodles. He then told me he would have to check with the kitchen and let me know. He then comes back with the food and tells me in a very rude and unpleasant way that for this time they were going to let it slide but next time they won’t Give me the rice instead of noodles . He told me that what’s on the menu is what you get and changes can’t be made. Clearly allergies aren’t important to them and I then told him that I was very disappointed at the fact that he was making a big deal out of it and that I wouldn’t return to a restaurant that wasn’t understanding of a food allergy. And to top it off the food itself wasn’t even that great for the price you pay for it . I am most definitely not returning here again. There’s a way to speak to your clients and this wasn’t the proper way to treat someone.

So if I go back to this restaurant, it would be just for desserts. Went here on several occasions both lunch and dinner and would only come for lunch because there is a special. My opinion is that I shouldn't have to pay $20 for a plate of general Tao, especially when I can get a better one somewhere else less upscale. At lunch the service is better - the time I went for dinner service was terrible, the waiter wouldn't come until a good 30-40 minutes after everyone in the group came. My food was okay at best and I didn't find it hot (it was warm at best) nor was it very tasty (I had pad Thai and it was just lacking in flavour - tasted like stir fried noodles with a squeeze of lime and some peanuts thrown on top). Staff took equally long to take away our plates and give us the bill. We were seated upstairs which had nice decor but we're also stuck next to and extremely loud and drunk group (it's BYOB). Overall very uncomfortable setting due to the rowdiness of the table next to us, and no wait staff came to ask them to settle down. Food experience at lunch was better - taste was more on par with expectations although still nothing to write home about and a long stretch from authentic. But the lunch menu is better priced for what you get.

The service was very slow. Waited for 1,5 hours. At the end the waiter added the service fees to the bill and charged the taxes on it. Very disappointed! This restaurant was always our first choice: their sushi are delicious but the service is always wishing to be better! Now we will look for another place!

It is one of those places, where they keep their mark and improve it constantly. The food is more than awesome, the ambience is very calming and welcoming. The service is always fast and attentively polite. It has been the years, but Kyomi stays on my list of preferred places not only in LaSalle. The only thing they have to improve is the parking lot. We have been there one evening, the lot was full and inside it was a little more than a half of its capacity. But still, it is highly recommended!

The food was bland, salty and missing that little something to make it worth coming back even if the portion sizes were quite big. Although the entrees were hot the main dish was cold. The waiting staff are not sympathetic and they cannot even pour the wine you bring. Out of the two hostesses there, not one was able to escort us to our table... they just gave us a description to where the table was upstairs.

I've heard a few things about this place and was curious about Asian Fusion-style cuisine. I just recently found one of the $10.00 gift certificate that they gave out, so I thought it's as good a time as any to try it out. After being seated by their hostess and browsing their sushi menu, I ordered the Aphrodite as it came with the Sunrise Salad entree (fruits and vegetables in a sesame vinaigrette with an orchid flower) , and the Besame Mucho maki, Spicy Salmon maki and Pizza Sushi (one of their house specialties that's as tasty as it sounds). A little pricey in the end, but worth a try.

To make up for the fact that I had ordered through libro, we were given two free soups and then a starter! Great service, very efficient and extra delicious food. I’ve heard so many great things about this place. We ordered a calamari but it wasn’t good at all( tasted like a piece of caoutchouc), then we had a plate of 18 pieces of dragon eyes( sushi’s) they were okay. To finish, we had a plate of butter chicken and that was amazing! The service is great, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere! I’ll definitely be back but only for their plates cause they are worth it.

Some of the worst food in Lasalle, very underwhelming. 'Chop Suey" was not even stir fried but composed of raw onions and soy beans. 'Jumbo Prawns' in the Shrimp Teriyaki were standard shrimp. Very disappointed with my visit to Kyomi this time. I have visited Kyomi many times before and everyone was always friendly but not last night. I went for supper with a friend who has allergies. When ordering, my friend requested that they substitute the noodles for rice. The waiter said he would check with the kitchen if this was possible. When he brought out the food, he mentioned to my friend that if ever we came back to the restaurant, this would be the last time that the kitchen would substitute the noodles for the rice. I was super disappointed that the waiter said this and it didn't make us feel good. We hadn't even started eating yet and he spoiled the evening. The most surprising thing is that Kyomi's Supper Menu has a disclaimer at the end saying that we should advise them of any allergies for full satisfaction. Great atmosphere with a unique cultural background. Service: The custumer service is professional, courteous and respectful. They allow enough time between meals and will come check on your table every so often to make sure everything is fine. General notes: - it is BYOW so if you're planning a couples night out! I highly suggest this place - the prices are reasonable, they're in the 20-30 range depending on the main course you order. Although, even at that price the food is outstanding! Enjoy!

I love this place. The location makes it a great central meeting point for persons coming from any part of Montreal, on or off-island. Great tasting Asian cuisine, try the spring roll appetizer. Very reasonably priced, esp. lunch menu. Love the colourful decor and the fish pond at the entrance. Staff are attentive, courteous and friendly. Nice decor and ambiance. However, the prices are much too high for the type/quality of food. I enjoyed my meal (General Tao chicken), however $23 is far too expensive - and this is one of the cheapest dishes on the menu. Some of my friends had teriyaki chicken. Strip of chicken on a bed of sauteed vegetables. They didn't particularly like it. I tasted it and wasn't fond either. Also $23 on the menu. Bottom line, I would never go back. Mainly due to the greatly overpriced menu. My girlfriend an I had two entrees and two dishes. Total was $77 with taxes and tip. We could have eaten elsewhere for the same quality/quantity for about $50 or less with taxes and tip. Everyone else in our group complained about the prices as well.
