The wine selection is just astounding. There is just so many wines to choose from. The servers however are there to help you if you don't know what to choose. They actually know how to guide you to the right wine choice based on what you prefer and they food you are eating. About the food, it is mandatory to order food here. You can't just come for a glass or bottle of wine without ordering something (it's their policy based on their liquor license they have). This isn't a problem because the food is also fantastic. The food is tapas style. As usual in Montreal, the tapas is expensive if you compare it to tapas in Spain. The place is good for first date or just going out with a group of friends. Of course it's best to make reservations.

Have been a few times and always delights. Seating is quite cramped so if your looking to stretch out, go elsewhere. Same for quiet. Not here. But if you want a chic, creative, tasty tapas and wine bar, this is the place. Trust the servers to recommend a wine for you, and after a taster decide on a 2 or 4oz glass. How great is that. Service is always professional, if a little overworked. Not cheap - expect 50 pp with cocktails and wine.

Wine selection and food were both very good. Each plate was full of flavour, and the server was very kind. The atmosphere, however, was very dark, to the point that we needed our phones on to read the menu, and the timing for the food was sometimes very slow and uneven between members of our party. Great place! I love the atmosphere. It is a cozy place to talk with friends. Not too loud, food is good, service is good (casual, not pretentious). Only downside: if you like food and wine, you can spend a fortune during an evening! But it is worth is! Wine by the glass is a great option altough my favorite one is chosing a wine trio. It can be 3 wines from the same cepage, 3 wines from the same producer, 3 wines from the same region or even 3 times to same wine, but different years. The sommers know their products.

I'm a very low-brow/humbly-dressed guy who speaks < 7 words of French. The staff were super polite and welcoming. I ordered two seasonal plates (arincini, and the heirloom tomato eggplant bruschetta) with the Quebec wine flight (one chardonnerey, one Pinot noir, and a third light pink one), and then the honey cream cheese dessert and the Muscat de Rivesalte Grand Guilhem. So glad I followed my waiter's suggested pairings! The arincini were perfectly fried and the dessert and Muscat were so good I wanted to cry. The waitress is a sweetheart too. Definitely coming back!

Very slow service. Waited for 4 hours in total. Lukewarm foods. I was there with a group of friends for the event "MTL à Table". The wait for our food was so long; we arrived at 7:30pm and left only at 11:30pm!! We have never waited so long for food. When the food arrived, it just slightly warm as if it had been sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be served. The waitress explained that they were not accustomed to serving so many people at a time. We were only a group of 6 people, but the restaurant seem full. Will not be going back.

Pullman is my favorite wine bar! I love the style of the place and the small bites food are very tasty. It's quite affordable too, if you're not too hungry. They always have nice wines by the glass to propose, wines you can't find anywhere else it seems. The only thing that bumps me is that the seem to follow some ambiguous wine trends. Orange wines..... natural wines.... It's not exactly my favorite trends. it's a good thing it's not exclusively those so everyone can find something they like.

I have such a love/hate relationship with this place. The seating is very uncomfortable and awkward, unless you know the layout 100% beforehand and book it in advance, you're probably going to be sat next to some very loud obnoxious people, and not just at the next table, I mean literally rubbing elbows. The food is great, the staff is always super friendly, and the wine is always on point. The only issue is the seating arrangements, it's not great for an intimate one on one, but good for groups.

My favorite place on earth. My happy place. Expensive but they have a valid reason: great knowledgeable staff, amazing wine selection, perfect place for a date or out with the girls. Tapas to die for. Surreal wine list. OMG grilled cheese from heaven, seafood platter was a hit when it was on the menu...just good things. I have to say though, that they really disappointed me on the group reservation end. Wanted my 30th bday there more than anything in the world, and they wanted to charge me several thousands of dollars. Really disappointed. It would have been a small group, not a bloody corporate even for Christ's sakes....god forbid your group is more than 12 ppl....no way josé...but five stars for all of the rest! Zero other complaints and kudos for the rest.

Definitely recommended. Fresh food with seasonal ingredients and well cultivated preparation. The octopus dish was particularly delicious. Note the portions are a bit small. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the wine but will not be pushy regarding your choices. Do not be shy to ask for recommendations if you want them. The wine was certainly well priced with many options under 10$ for a glass.

Pullman was the first restaurant we visited on our trip to Montreal and it was a great introduction to the city. Started the meal off with a wine tasting of sparkling and white wine. Waitress was very knowledgable about wines but it was hard to hear her when she spoke and a lot of information to take in at once, would have been nice to see description in writing. Ordered 5 plates to share between two plus dessert and it was the perfect amount of food. Each plate was unique and delicious and paired nicely with the wine tasting. The interior of the Pullman was modern, classic and creative, loved the wine glass chandelier. Maybe the prices were a bit high if you're on a budget, but being from NYC this was great fancy eating for a lot less.

An excellent multi-level tapas style wine bar located at Park ave and Sherbrooke. Classy cool ambience with super fun bar seating area on the lower level. All the plates we ordered were fantastic and on point. The bartender was fabulous with his choices and pairing with plates. The quality of the food is superb and all flavors brilliantly weaved into the dishes. Some have said the plates were small and over priced. I beg to differ, price to quality ratio is excellent. Order a few plates, have some on point wine, well worth the visit. Staff is customer-centric and incredibly wine savvy. Excellent service and friendly.

This is a winebar with a lot of heart. The whole bar has a wonderful ambiance, with multiple levels and simple, clean decor. The food is good and made to share. However the reason to come to Pullman is for their wine selection. The menu is extensive and if you are slightly overwhelmed (as I was) with the choice the staff are highly knowledgeable and more than happy to recommend wines based on your taste. I especially love the wine tasting option, where you get to try an assortment of 3 wines - a perfect way to explore the menu. Make sure you leave room for dessert especially the goats cheesecakes.

This was a great spot — really enjoyed it. The menu has a lot of options and the service was great. In fact, when we ordered manhattans, the waiter said that was his favorite drink and he would go make his version (rather than the bartender). The cheese plate was a nice variety and the shrimp in garlic sauce was especially good, but we enjoyed everything we had.

I don't see how you could find a much better wine bar, except perhaps with the prices. Extensive wine list, delicious albeit expensive food, and a staff that never fails. I've had perhaps seven different waiters there over the years and all were on top of their game. Don't hesitate to ask them for advice (but tell them what you feel like having, otherwise there's just too many options). This place has got it together.

An institutional wine bar in Montreal. Go here every sunday as they put their whole cellar on sale and you can choose any bottle on their extensive wine menu for half the price! You must order food though, but you can order any on their tapas style food menu. In terms of food, some are really good like their scallops and the tuna tataki, others need a little work. Overall, a nice place to enjoy a good bottle of wine with friends. Reservation recommended. Cheers!

I have been coming to Pullman since it oppened, and have wondered for the past 3 years why I ever bother. I thought that maybe I was missing something. I wasn't and this time I will not be back. The wait staff is uptight and unfriendly. They make a big case that you didn't reserve even if the place is completely empty and their computer shows no reservations... this happens to me every time I go, it's kind of getting old, just like the place itself. Location is their greatest asset. Some of the wine is decent. I was sick twice on the mini burgers. The only good dish is the gravlax. Other than that, it's where fun goes to die. Oh and don't go there to do a meeting or work a bit on your laptop: it's forbidden and they will tell you to turn it off. Or you can always walk out... I did. So long Pullman, we are done.

Même le "forfait" Mtl-à-table prend des allures d'arnaque, c'est peu dire. Je passe par-dessus le service qui est correct, sans plus. Bref, expérience à éviter outre pour boire du vin.

My husband and I ate here after attending a ballet performance at Place-des-Arts. By the time we got out, it was almost 11 p.m. and there weren't many nice restaurants nearby that were open. We were surprised that Pullman was open until 1 a.m. on a Saturday night. Even better, the atmosphere was intimate. Perfect for a date night! We ordered so many plates -- the portions are small. I love the olives with the candied lemon as well as the goat cheese and red peppers for appetizers. The Russian style salmon gravlax was delicious -- especially with tiny blinis and caviar! The tonnato sauce with the tuna tataki was really flavorful! Every plate was exciting and sent out at just the right time. We had quite a few plates, but the one that stuck out the most was the octopus with the red pepper sauce. It was perfectly cooked. I've never had such tender octopus. This is definitely a restaurant we'll be going to again and again.

Horrible service. We were seated quite rapidly but it ended there. We waited and waited for service. We flagged down a service person who said that she would be right back. .....and that was the last we saw of her. Finally, we flagged someone down and ordered a bottle of wine to start. It took almost 10 minutes to get the bottle of wine. The attitude appears that if you are not a well dressed hipster under 35 years old then they don't want you as a client!

Service was friendly and excellent. We were a big group and had a room for our party upstairs at the mezzanine. The tapas was delicious. Wine selected excellent. And, they make an excellent rich cappuccino - they give you a packet of sugar but please dont adulturate it. It can get very noisy in the small space. Bathrooms are tiny.
