We were at this restaurant with two babies and one toddler. The owner showed an angry face when she saw us with three kids. Her reaction to deal with strollers were so unprofessional. Then we requested a different table to sit but the owner refused giving that to us just because she said she cannot walk to that part of lounge!!!!!!!! The toddler was playing in the restaurant without making any noise or mess however the owner asked us to keep her with ourselves. It was very irrespective and unprofessional behaviour to the customers with babies. Overall it is absolutely a non-family friendly restaurant with the worst customer service I have ever seen in Canada! Regarding food, I would say GARBAGE! I ordered greek salad and it was not fresh at all. The cheese on top had no taste and olives were old with bad taste! In general I will never go back there!

Even one star is one too many! The lady who appeared to be the owner was rather rude and treated kids(6 & 12mo) as an inconvenience! The restaurant was quite empty with only one other family dining, however when we asked if we could move to another table (which had more room to fit high chairs and the stroller around) she declined! That table wasn’t reserved either. The food was below mediocre and the price unjustifiable for that poor quality, my meal had a side of lemon potatoes however lemon overpowered the whole dish and you couldn’t taste any other flavour, making one wonder what it was supposed to be hiding! when we raised our concerns to the owner she acted rude & unprofessional again so we just paid up and left!

Sat on the patio as per Covid rules; the view of mountains was gorgeous, which made up for the shabby weather that day. At this restaurant I found the service excellent, food fresh and portions a decent helping. Disappointed that the Cola is non-refillable and a 2L jug is pricey at $9. Will eat here again next time in Jasper!

I think this is One of the best Local restaurants in Jasper that a MUST try and visit. The outside look is rustic and old and the inside feels very welcoming. They have this forest vibes inside as well which we really loved. Lots of REAL plants and Trees with big branches! Amazing! Staff are very nice and polite, Great value, great food! ????

Stopped in before we left the Monday of May long. Gentleman at the front was super friendly and informative about dining in the area. Where there are gluten free options for ribs and sauces, it would have been nice to see gluten free pizza or burger buns as these options seem very limited in this area. It would be a great touch to an already amazing family dining restaurant. I had chicken souvlaki which was delicious and the garden salad was fresh and great portion. Definitely reccomend.

We decided to go to this restaurant after searching for a decently priced restaurant around Jasper. The Calamari was amazing, way better than Earls, or any other restaurant I've been to and the serving was generous. The full dinner came with salad and rice, but they don't give you so much rice (which I really prefer, it's just a filler). The Spanakopita was delicious, but it was smaller than we expected and the person I came with was still a bit hungry after a long day of skiing, so we just shared the Calamari. They also make a good paralyzer!

The place is run down and dirty. Waitress couldn't remember my drink order (Diet Pepsi) The food was expensive for what it was, I had the fish and chips and it came with vegetables. The fish was good, the fries were soft and mushy, the vegetables were beans, peas and carrots and were bad. My son had the chicken fingers and fries which were ok. They have a very closed in space where everyone was seated very close to one another and there are trees are everywhere. The whole place needs a update and better food. I do not recommend this place at all.

A staple visit when you’re in Jasper. I’ve been going here for 10 years every time I visit Jasper and it never disappoints. Reasonably priced food where you can find pizza, classic Greek dishes, and numerous other western style dishes. The T-Bone steak was perfectly charred at medium and had a nice grilled taste, and the lamb souvlaki was excellent. Atmosphere is always amazing and cozy, if you come here try to get a spot in one of the sunroom with the tree branches hanging over your head!

Had such a wonderful experience the other night with a group of friends! It was our first time at L&W and definitely will NOT be the last! As a local guide I know quality when I see it, so disregard the awful reviews. When we arrived we asked if we could be sat in the solarium and we were brought to a very private section filled with overgrown beautiful trees. The greenery is absolutely stunning! Our server, Miss.Leah was very attentive and friendly. We decided to order multiple dishes such as spanakopita, fish and chips and a handful of other wonderful Greek delicacies. At the end of our experience we had the pleasure of meeting the owner and she was very friendly and sweet. Looking forward to returning.

We have been going to L & W for many years each time we go to Jasper. This time the service was rather sloppy and the food mediocre. I got food poisoning from either the hot wings or the beef/rice soup that evening as it was the only things I ate that other people in may party did not eat. Very disappointed this time.

I worked 3 summers as a waiter for the owners Gus and Johanna. They are two people I consider friends that treated me like family. This downtown Jasper restaurant is awesome, great Italian food, Greek and Canadian dishes for the whole family. It has a beautiful patio and Rocky Mountain hospitality.

I guess I picked the wrong food. I had the Kalamai & tzatziki appetiser and the salmon main. Kalamari was fine... it was tender, but thin pieces in batter/crumb so you couldn’t taste it. No herbs or flavour to crumb either. Massive serve though. Tzatziki was nice, but I felt like I was just eating batter. Salmon was dry and came with a weird combo of steamed (overdone) veggies and rice and potato that I could have done at home. Potato was drenched in lemon and inedible. Disappointed with my meal which cost a lot given it wasn’t anything fancy. I should say, that I didn’t complain til after I paid cos I don’t like confrontation, so they didn’t get an opportunity to replace the meals. I’m really not fussy at all. I have only ever complained about a meal once before in my life, so this was a big deal for me.

So very welcoming and delicious, homecooked food. Rattan and floral/ nature decor made us feel like we were dining in a an episode of "The Golden Girls". We were told by regular returning travelers that the owner, who is always there, has been delivering amazing food and service at this restaurant for 51 years! Highly recommend this fun restaurant- a perfect dining experience for all!

Although this places hasn't changed since the 90's with its bamboo chairs, fully grown trees with mood lighting and greek poka music playing in the background, I wouldn't change it anything! It brings back great memories of my childhood. the food is fantastic! The rainbow trout is amazing and the spaghetti with meat balls is to die for! Around 60 is bucks for 2 people so fairly affordable compared to some restaurants in jasper. Definitely try this place out! You would definitely miss out!

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Service was terrible, had no drinks the entire meal, we had to go up and ask for them. the server never came back to the table. Food was way too over priced and not very good. My food was wrong and I sent it back, and when it came back it was missing components and the waitress only came back once when we were done eating.

1988. Probably the last time I was at this restaurant. It's 2018 and it hasn't changed one bit. Food is exactly the same, which is good. Decent portions, great pizza. Decor, upholstery all badly need an update. In the light you can see years of stains, the seats are hard as rocks, and the jungle of plants make it feel like your eating in the Muttart Conservatory. We had pleasant service, I think this restaurant is best used for take out.

Amazing service! My boyfriend and I ordered pizza on our way through jasper. The pizza was done ontime and within 20 minutes ( WOW) !! I have to leave a review. Its been 4 years since i ate here. We are from Yellowknife, NWT and the first time we were in Jasper, we stumbled across this place and had lunch. BEST HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI IVE EVER HAD (and my mother's Italian) and their MOZZARELLA STICKS are the best... i've literally been salivating over for the last 4 years. They use real mozzarella and the batter they use is nothing short of phenomenal. The spaghetti is homemade noodles. This trip, we are ensuring our route drives through jasper on the way home just to eat at this restaurant - it's that good. The environment inside is amazing and you know they care about the food they make. So i give this place an 11/10. Cannot wait to go back.

This place is amazingly beautiful. Filled with plants, and on different levels, so you can always find an out of the way pocket to hide in. The pizza is delicious, I had the surf and turf and it was mouth watering. The baklava was heavenly, especially with a strong coffee to finish the meal.

Food was fine and the only reason my wife and myself chose to eat there as my recently late father had always brought the whole family and relatives visiting everytime we vacationed in Jasper but unfortunately this visit wasnt as special being our Waitress Joma was disgusting. This day and age with Covid. We were mortified with our waitress. She took the spices that the other customer was using and gave it to us. They were mortified too that she done that. They then asked for it back for god sakes. The other table was using it.. which obviously means they touched it. So unsanitary. We asked for the manager and she said she couldn't get her. Obviously there is a manager. So unprofessional. You know everywhere we go everything is sanitized or should be.. completely mortified!!!!! completely Sickening!!!!

First time visiting, fantastic all around!. We sat outside at the furthest table and our server still accommodated us nicely. Every meal was cooked and didn't have any hiccups. My meal was on special that day( rainbow trout) was cooked perfectly! The flat bread was perfectly crispy and tasty that I ordered one to go and was tempted to order the trout as well. My kids pizzas were delicious and had the right amount of toppings. The server was very nice and the owner as well. We will definatly be back when we visit jasper again.

Their food was NOT fresh. I thought it was me at first. Later in the evening I talked to a couple staying in our hotel who had the same experience. I ordered the chicken souvlaki which came with rice and greek salad. The salad.... the lettuce and tomatoes in it were well past their prime. The rice was also past its prime - as there were crunchy pieces of rice - dried out rice mixed in with the rest. My fiance's chicken was overcooked. The atmosphere was romantic and comfortable sadly the meal didn't live up to expectations.

My seafood pasta (C&G) was delicious. The chocolate mousse was to die for. Service was great, prices were typical. My only complaint is that most of the drinks are not refillable. And I wouldn't normally care, except that at $2.75, my iced tea wasn't exactly a large glass. Still, I would dine here again.

Very dated inside. Dark and dingy. Owner is very grumpy. Very poor customer service. They don't really care about your business. I asked for two orders of spaghetti for kids aged 4 and 6, and further asked for one to be mixed in with alfredo sauce rather than tomato sauce. The owner just gave me a hand gesture and walked away. I am a nice and warm person, and spoke very respectfully. All I ask in return is politeness and kindness, especially with my family of young children.

Food was good, and the inside decor of many plants is memorable and enjoyable. The service was friendly and prompt. I like this place but only scored it as a two star because the seats in the booths are in terrible condition. The upholstery and padding in the seats has become worn over the many years and is now quite hard and uncomfortable. Also the menus have needed to be replaced for some time. The plastic on the menus is discolored and cracked. A good restaurant that has been around for many years but I wouldn’t come back until some over due upkeep has been done.

That was my 3rd time having dinner at this restaurant but I will never come back. food had bad taste and not well cooked . charged us $7.00 for glass of cheap wine (which is normal in Jasper) taste of soy sauce was unusual and I couldn't finish my meal . but the worst part was a group of people ( I guess the owner's friends ) was sitting around the other table with no drink or eat and just watching us for all the time!! . We were not comfortable at all and feeling that they were counting what we are eating ... wont recommend it anymore

By the way the owner is really Greek :) It was weekday, so it wasn’t very busy, dishes are very affordable there. There’s a patio, as well as nice interior with natural plants and trees. We love this restaurant. The (older lady) owner actually still works here and she's lovely. The food were always great. We ordered chicken souvlaki and lasagna with a side of salad. Ordered twice of beer it was 21 bucks for 2. Waitress was lovely. The place is big and it also have outside patio.

We had a great evening! We were seated promptly, our server, Sven, from Montreal, was very attentive. The decor is quite dated but was fine. The restaurant is filled with live plants, including trees that have been there since they were planted in 1985 (according to Sven). It had a nice, relaxed vibe. Our food was excellent. The house salad with sun dried tomato dressing was fresh and flavourful. The pasta Alfredo was delicious, with a nice garlic flavour. The lasagna was made with narrow flat noodles rather that the typical wide lasagna noodles and was really good, baked in its own dish with lots of melted cheese. Both entrees were served with warm dinner rolls. The prices were very reasonable, too. Overall a very pleasant dining experience - I'm sure we'll be back.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. The waiter forgot our appetizer.. The food was all undercooked. For 3/4 people the food was absolutely disgusting. I don't think i have eaten a worse meal. The waiter didn't care, he cowered away, did not apologize, i didn't eat my whole meal, that was supposed to be on special but the price was exactly the same. It was not taken off the bill either. Just a terrible experience. Don't waste your money.

Really surprised this restaurant has a 4.0 rating. Maybe it was a bad day when my family and I ate here but the food was mediocre and the service was horrendous. Meals were missing items from the menus and you would think it was our fault when we approached the waitress about the issues. Will not be returning. Way way overpriced for what I would consider a realistic 1 star restaurant. I guess these days quality and service is sacrificed and goes out the window in places like jasper due to lack of competition

I absolutely love the food from here. Everything that they offer is loaded with flavor. Their Greek salad is a real Greek salad (more of the other ingredients and less lettuce). Delicious.

The restaurant is owned by the reception lady for 52 years already. It is incredible. The price is reasonable and the environment is great and you felt like you are enjoying your dinner in the garden. The food is Greek style. Not my favorite flavor probably I am not a cheese fan. However, I still would like to give full score for its priceless contribution for the community in Jasper.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch because it was being advertised on the chalkboard at the front of the restaurant. It was literally just a single processed cheese slice slapped in between two pieces of bread. The interior decor is tacky and looks like it hasn't been replaced in 35 years. It's clear that the owners have become complacent and they prey on hungry tourists who don't know any better.

The Greek food here is very tasty and I always try to visit whenever I'm in Jasper. The decor is very nice with lots of natural plant life. I would recommend trying the calamari, souvlaki, and the spanakopita. I would recommend L&W for Greek food if you're in Jasper!

I only gave it one star cause I had to give a rating, the lasagna noodles were over cooked, my youngest daughter vomited, I should of let her vomit on the floor but she vomited on the plate something in the sauce caused it, then the waitress continued to tell me how good the sauce was and that it was her fault, so if I could give it a real rating it would be 0. So I will never be going back to jasper L&W again nothing like Hinton. And to top all this off they made pay for the vomited spaghetti and blamed there screwed up sauce on my daughter.

My BF and his mom use to come here when he was little for lunch when they would ski. So we decided to see if it would live up to his memories. We were quickly greeted and seated in out own little area (under a living tree, photos attached). The decor is dated, but don't let that fool you. The service was great and so was the food. We ordered calamari to start (the tzyiki sauce was made fresh and so good), the calamari was good as well. I had fish and chips (deep fried to a nice golden brown) but I with the tartar sauce was fresh. I questioned the peas and carrots the put on my meal, bit I ate them anyways. He has the lasagne and he loved it! For desert we had lemon merengue pie (yummy) and he had the carrot pie (so good!) . Try something different and eat here!

Looked interesting from the outside but as we got in there were trees growing everywhere it was hard to sit without hitting your head. I asked for stuff I didn't get. Food I did get was cheap. ( store bought frozen burgers.) Even the pasta was horrible, the noodles were over done and the sauce tasted like chilli from a can. Would never come back here.

Sadly, we were greatly disappointed. The server was slow to greet us after we sat down. I ordered the Moussaka which was made with eggplant and potatoes. I thought the potatoes would have been sliced, but I had a difficult time deciphering if the were mashed or sliced. My accompanying salad looked dull. My partner ordered the BBQ chicken with fries. The chicken was unappetizing, it had some sauce slathered on it it appeared to have been broiled . The chicken was so dry, he could not eat it. the server mentioned putting on a fresh pot of coffee that too was a disappointment, it was tasteless and weak. We sat on the solarium side near the sidewalk.there was a bit of grass there beside our window there was no little privacy fence to prevent people from coming up to your face through the window. Which got me thinking, what if a dog came up there and made a dump...no thank you. We drove five hours from Calgary only to leave back home hungry. We will not be coming back there The thing I liked was the space and the different levels. The decor is in bad need of updating.

We came here just before christmas. Had lunch, no other customers were there, and only one employee was working. We had spaghetti and meat sauce to share as well as mozza sticks. The mozza sticks tasted like they had been frozen then microwaved, definitely weren't served hot. Same with the meal, it was hardly warm and tasted like a flavorless $15 microwave meal. Not impressed.

Food was no fresh at all. we order spaghetti with meat sauce from kids menu for our toddler and it was too much salty and when I told owner this is too salty for kids she said this is the way they cook and if we don't like it we should go out!!! I told her this is not good way to talk with customer and I will write this story on google. She said she don't care about internet and google review and people who read these review because they are not real!! (LOL). I paid for our food and paid tip to our server to make sure they don't think I am like those people we know ;) . before I finish my review I should mention their salad was't fresh at all. lettuces, tomatoes and chess they use were not fresh at all. Also I should mention after I paid my bill and tips I told all these comments to the owner and she said don't come back again :| I won't come back of course and suggest you to try another restaurant :) because if you read this review she think you are not real people LOL

Went there tonight the service was the best I have had in years. I do believe the gentleman that served us was Ealen if that is correct when I asked the older lady that sat us I had a hard time understanding her. This server was so friendly to our kids and always was checking on us. He allowed our party to wait and offered water while I returned to the hotel to get covid papers.Unbelievable service, food was amazing and fast. One thing is the furniture needs updating as it felt like the cusions were well warm and hurt to sit on. Thank you sir it’s been a hard two years for our industry and you showed the proper way to serve. Thank you.

????This restaurant does not deserve a rating, it was subpar! The restaurant was not busy my husband and I and another group of 4 were the only patrons (I’m thinking this should have been our first clue). We ordered the veal with baked potato and veggies our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering (2nd clue). The veal had been deep fried to the extent that it tasted, looked & cut like cardboard, our potatoes looked like they had been baked months ago and then refrigerated while still hot. I won’t and can’t even speak about the ( frozen ) cold green variety of vegetables. Please do not waste your money.

Went to L&W with friends for lunch in between outdoor excursions in the area. The place is a bit dated aesthetically, but large group was seated and served promptly and courteously throughout. The food came quickly as well, which was appreciated. The restaurant serves comfort food and casual fare. However, those with food allergies may find very limited options here. I do appreciate that the server was willing to work with me on creating a modified Greek salad: allergens removed, chicken added, and dressing replaced with just olive oil. It was tasty enough—and the chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy!—though it wasn’t overly filling, and I did find myself eating many of my ‘back-up’ snacks upon return to the car. Additionally, I did find two pieces of onion in the salad, which is one of the allergens I asked to be removed. I’m only impacted if I consume it, but those with more severe allergies may still be at risk of cross-contamination.

We only came here for the calamari appetizer which was decent. In terms of COVID-19 precautions, tables aren’t physically distanced. They’re spaced as normal without any plexiglass barriers. It was fairly busy when we went so we ended up being seated right next to parties at tables next to us. An elderly server didn’t have her face mask on properly - she kept tucking it under her chin so her mouth and nose was exposed - not sure if it’s a comfort thing or a breathing issue - either way, that’s not acceptable and the restaurant needs to do something about that.

This was the Jasper spot for my family when I was a kid, and now that I have a crew of my own, we tried L&W this week and had no complaints from anyone. The food was good and filling and the atmosphere is friendly, as always.

We have eaten there at least once if not twice a year each and every time we travel thru Jasper. Today while there we made it a point to stop in for dinner. We took our own sanitizing wipes and and wiped our own table (was not that clean) and after ordering and sipping drinks that were brought to us handled high near the drink area, we noticed the cooks, unmasked, working close talking over the food. We asked the waitress why they didn't wear masks, we were told they don't work together. I said that was less of a concern for me as them talking over the food they were preparing, she said she didn't make the rules and walked away. After some discussion we felt that we did not feel safe. We got up and told them we would not need our order, and they called the waitress to bill us for our drinks (we only started), she said we saw they were not wearing masks when we came in and I said no otherwise we would not have sat down and ordered. During this time I think it's too important for food establishments to be safe. Other staff members intermingle that do not wear masks, pin pads for payment were not sanitized, actually no sanitizing solutions was seen to be used anywhere other that hand sanitizer for customers at the entrance.

Came here for appetizers before going about our day in Jasper, our first clue should’ve been that this place was dead as opposed to the line ups every where else. The atmosphere was wonderful and we loved how it was filled with plants! The service was definitely the worst part of our experience, we had a girl in a wheelchair with us and she was ignored, and when asking about other parts of our dish that we order we were rudely responded to, we all worked in the service industry and know how it can be but part of the job is to be kind. Also the music is dreadful. No refills on drinks, but the food isn’t great but not bad for the price. All in all, won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

We tried phoning 12 times over half an hour from three different phones to order takeout and never got through. It kept saying the number was unreachable so we just drove there to order takeout. When we told them phone calls weren't coming through she just shrugged. We spent $180 and there was a hair baked right into the L&W special pizza. I guess the special ingredient is hair. Disgusting.

Food was tasteless, drink selection was bad. They have a lot of seating so it may be your last resort but it's worth waiting for other restaurants. Fries were very bad, fish and chips was bad, the meat was not cooked properly and even the teriyaki had no taste. The whole restaurant looks cheap too. Thankfully the service was fine and the waitress was nice, but I think even she knew how bad the food was. Just don't go.

Absolutely disgusting food. Halibut steak and vegetables we ordered weren't fresh. Chicken teriyaki stirfry was made with canned/frozen vegetables drenched in teriyaki sauce, didnt even resemble stirfry. Kids ordered lasagna which they tasted and left..and this is usually one of their favorite dishes. My husband gave feedback to the waitress, she asked if she wants him to switch the potatoes ?! ? As that would ve made a difference. Basically we paid 120$ for 4 meals we didn't eat. Explains why the place was empty when we got there.. it tasted like frozen food warmed up in a microwave. Don't waste your $.

Every time I come through Jasper I have to stop here. Love the Greek food served here and it's always a homey feel. This time I had a Donair with Greek salad flavorful and the right portion size. I have had the Lamb Souvlaki before and it's delicious. As is their Chicken Cesar salad. Beautiful restaurant with great ambience. 10/10 will return next time I come though this area.

Delicious and speedy. Ordered, and my meal arrived in less than 10mins. Super delicious. Restaurant was bustling with people, seems to be a popular family restaurant. I reccomend.

Definitely pass on the Salmon and Veal. Salmon was hard and dry Veal was a thick slab of pork. Last nights scallops and shrimp were quite good. Should have guit there.

We loved all the trees and plants when you first walk in (see first picture). Once seated though, we realized that they were covering up some pretty gross things (see 2nd picture as an example). The restaurant really requires an update, a good cleaning and some maintenance. That being said, the service and food was good.

Great simple and healthy food. It's always great to find restaurant that serves authentic food. The menu is great and have selection for the entire family. The original owner still greets people and guide them to the table. From now on will be our stop when we are in Jasper

If you are in Jasper,Alberta and do not stop at this lovely resturant for lunch or supper than you will miss out on a wonderfully prepared meal! My wife and I took our daughter and her husband and my two lovely grand daughters for supper and it was unbelievable.!

At first, the old lady was a bit rude, but I wasn’t going to let that ruin my first impression. So I ordered the lasagna and had the soup, best soup I’ve had in a long time. The lasagna was definitely interesting but none the less I loved it, could have gotten more than one dinner roll but that’s ok. Still loved the food and the cozy restaurant feel

Love the atmosphere it is so beautiful. Waiters were so friendly. Food is fresh. I have gone multiple times for their salmon appetizer. Went here for a staff meeting as well and they were great.

First time I ate here I was 10, I have probably been here at least once or twice a year since. Is it the best restaurant I've ever been to...Nope. Is it always awsome....Nope, but its usually decent. I have had a good meal and good service way more often than not. The prices are good (by Jasper rip off the tourist standards), and the inside of the restaurant is a sunroom with big tropical trees that are really neat.

The place has lots of tropical plants out and inside. The menu is simple as the place, it has its own style. The lady which first attended us was a bit impaciente but the guy who came after was nice and efficient. Plates are generous in terms of quantity of food, however it left something to be desired in terms of flavour and freshness.
