A magical place! You can’t visit this place without trying the clock, it’s traditional! It is an incredible restaurant with an amazing beer museum. The perfect place for a cute date. On summer I recommend to sit outside next to the bridge, it’s totally a dream place!

New to the area and looking for my new watering hole. The service I experienced was atrocious. Took forever to get served. No hello, no acknowledgment of the wait time (wasn’t busy). Was rude and never asked me if I wanted another drink as I sat there empty for 15 minutes as he walked by me at least 6 times.

I don't what happened to this place but the service is terrible! It's not even busy and I had to get up and go to the bus boy and ask if there was any table service? He said yes. Then said that he would send someone over. We've been here for almost twenty minutes and nothing. C'mon guys!

We took a 2 day excursion from Toronto to Ottawa. Decided to stay in Hull for a more quiet environment. We asked the hotel reception to recommend an interesting place for dinner and we weren't disappointed at all. It was actually a restaurant/brewery/beer museum. The food was decent, the service was warm and friendly, although a bit slow during busy time. They offered a variety of different beer, ale, pilsener, etc. After dinner, we went downstairs for a short museum trip, which included an illuartared history of beer, artefacts dated from 19th century to prohibition era to the modern days. They even had a mini beer manufacturing plant. It's a delight for foodies, beer lovers and history loving people.

Good food and beer. Tip at least 15% if you plan on returning or else waitress Rebecca will berate you before being seated for not tipping enough the last time you were in, even though most of your table had tipped at least 15% last time. This was the first time I have had the experience of waitresses being rude over a lower tip before a meal, as a regular customer. Management seems to think nothing is wrong with this practice either and will side with the waitress. Not a great incentive to return!

You can get a 12 beer flight. Awesome! I personally went right for the Body of the Devil (#12 at the time of writing this). This is the most bitter IPA I've ever had, with 100 IBU!!!! That's awesome as I can never find something bitter enough for my IPA taste buds. Great find, would recommend a friend to check this place out. I have not had the food, although the fries look awesome

Wonderful beer and food menu to choose from. Had the bison short ribs which was absolutely delicious. The salmon confit was on point. With there own 16 beers on tap, you can find something for anyone. We will be back soon!!

Service was average, ambiance was average and the food was way below average. Our friends recommended this place so we went here for our last meal in Ottawa. But as soon as we sat down, we found out that their chef has left and it's a new one so the food might not be the same. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and it was terrible. The fried chicken was dry and hard and waffles were dense, the sauce was pure sugar with no other flavour. The burger apparently used to be amazing but turned out nothing special. We asked if they have a kids menu and they said yes, they have fish and chips and burger so we ordered two dishes for the kids to share expecting that the kids menu portions were smaller and half the price. Turns out it was just a regular plate and charging regular price. What's most upsetting was we ordered the donut dessert for the kids but they failed to inform us that it contains nuts! It's nowhere listed on the menu. We only found out after the dish came and when we asked the staff, they just said sorry there's nothing they can do because the 'crumble' garnish was already premade and will charge us for it anyway. Both our kids are allergic to nuts and were so disappointed that they couldn't eat it. The bill ended up being massive because they misled us to over-order with the 'kids menu' items but turns out they were just regular adult dishes and the dessert that we didn't end up eating. The staff was happy to make the final bill amount as high as possible so that he could make more in tips but didn't even try to help make our experience better. Overall, it was a bad experience with overpriced food that tasted very average. There are plenty of other better restaurants in Gatineau and Ottawa region, sucks that we ended our trip with this one.

My husband and I had lunch here on a Wednesday a couple weeks ago. We found the service quite slow, we waiting a while to be acknowledged when we arrived, it took a long time for our order to be taken, and for our food to arrive. My husband was disappointed because he wanted the fish and chips and they were all sold out. I got the fried chicken burger and he got the glutton burger. My food was a cold when it arrived but his was hot. Having said that, it was the best chicken burger I've ever had and the BDT Caesar was phenomenal. We'll definitely go back because the food was that good but I hope the service improves.

Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Great location with patio by the water, service is amazing and the food is great. But what I really come for is the beer. Had a Belgium Cranberry IPA today and it was phenomenal. They brew their own beer here and there is a sampling planter you can grab of 12 beers each 3oz to see what fits you best ... I highly recommend

It's a cool place and the drinks are good but, it's gone down in food quality and portion size since the last time I went. I spent 120 dollars on a pitcher of sangria, a cider, a low quality, soupy bowl of Mac and cheese, a bit of fries, a tiny amount of generic ribs and two small strawberry shortcake deserts. Definitely overpriced, I'm not a huge eater but for the cost the portion size was abysmal.

Food is decent, beer is great and they have an amazing atmosphere. Unfortunately if you don't tip at least 15% the waitress Rebecca will be very vocal about it. I've gone there about 10 times now and I still plan on going, I never write reviews, but getting berated when walking in the restaurant by the waitress who served you last time because she was unhappy with her tip is insane. Would recommend to anyone, just don't go there and tip anything less than 15% or you will be sorry.. lol

Great service, really good food, there is a lot of space as well. I came in the daytime, not on the night time so the restaurant was pretty empty. We were served very quickly, and the server we had was very helpful. He spoke both French and English very well. They always made sure we had enough water, which I for one really appreciated The good itself was very tasty. The nachos had plenty of toppings, the pizza had really good sauce and crust, and the poutine was good! as expected in Quebec. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The main area was clean too, all the tables were clean as well as the floors. They are a brewery so they do brew their own beer and ciders. I personally didn't try them. The rosé from Quebec however, I did try and it was very good. Great service and food! Definitely will be coming back.

Great beer, food was very disappointing! The calamari as an appetizer was awful, the BDT chicken pot pie was terrible! Nothing came with it, just the pie (no salad, no veggies or fries) the crust was hard, and I expected a sort of gravy or juice under the crust with the chicken... pretty much just the chicken chunks in a very light liquid.... good thing for the beer!! The hamburger looked good, but nothing out of the ordinary. High marks for the beer. Low marks for the food.

We very much enjoyed our experience. We started with a mojito and a flight of beer. Loved it! Then on to the apps. Fantastic. Pizza, flank steak and melon and duck. Delicious!!! Closed the evening with a strawberry and a blueberry desserts. Amazing. Great place to eat and or drink!

Gave 3 star rating, because after we were seated and given water, had to wait a good 15 minutes to have our order taken. There was not many people inside to warrent that kind of wait. I ordered a spinach dip with naan bread. Spinach was served warm along with the naan bread and was delicious. Next I had the fish and chips with beer Coleslaw. The fish was haddock and looked greasy but was absolutely delicious. The beer Coleslaw was very refreshing and tasty. French fries were ok, but could have been done better. My daughter had the Lobster roll with a poutine. I had a taste and it was very good, poutine fries were hard and my daughter did not enjoy them. Washrooms very clean. Great atmosphere at BDT, with music in the background. I recommend a visit and would have given 5 stars if it had not been for the wait and French fries, little things maybe, but it's important to satisfy the customer. Servers were bilingual and friendly. Give it a try, lot more to discover at this quante place. Cheers!

Fantastic place with an awesome patio. Excellent beet menu! A must visit on Gatineau and a place I will visit again! The vegetarian nachos were a good option for a group of four. I recommend getting one half pint of Indiana quebelgese for the meal.

When we arrived at the door we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, she said she didn’t think she had a table available but would check. She found a table but said we would have to leave by 5:30 we agree since it was only 3:00 pm then. As we walked to the table I notice there half the restaurant was empty ????‍♀️ We order Ceviche and trio dip but the ceviche was unavailable, trio dip was awful! was served with hard/old pita bread supposedly made in-house, few pieces of raw vegetables, the dips were also bland, lobster dip left a bad taste in your mouth. 3 stars are for the awesome server!

Really cool spot. Great service. Great beer and great ambiance. Staff was bilingual english was no problem and they were very helpful. I highly recommend the "beer clock"! Its a super cool way to try all their beers.

We had reservations for a party of 7 on a Friday night. We were seated in less than 5 minutes from our arrival. The server was very helpful with drink recommendations as none of us had been here before. We ordered a variety of food and there were no complaints from anyone, even those with strong dietary restrictions. We were all impressed by the atmosphere and the drinks. I'd definitely want to visit this place again the next time I'm in the Ottawa area.

A fantastic experience, professional, friendly and helpful staff. Their in-house brewed beer selection is fantastic and features musts-tries if you are a beer enthusiast. Their food menu is wide and set to please all the palates. The food is delicious. There is an in-house beer “museum” and a boutique. Would definitely recommend for a fun night out.

What a beautiful place! Went there with my partner, and we had "L'Horloge", which offered 12 beers of 3 oz each (really good), Fish and Chips, and the Short Ribs (Bison). The food was fantastic. Finally, there was a lovely small museum about the history of beer in Egypt/Québec, as well as various artifacts related to beer. Service was lovely too. Really grateful.

This was my second time having a meal at BDT. Not only are the portions BIG, the food is excellent. I started with the Onion soup. Excellent! Then I had the Burger Glouton with a side of Poutine Papineau. OMG. Burger was great but the poutine was unreal. Highly recommend this place. Enjoy!!!

Food was really bad for the price. Burgers are really small; clearly frozen meat patty way over cooked like burnt and almost no cheese. Wouldn’t recommend the Halloumi salad either, wonder if it is real Halloumi they use.. Go for the drinks but definitely not the food.

Service and atmosphere were great!! Waitress was really friendly and fast ensuring we always had what we needed and checked up often. Very helpful with beer menu and took time to explain beers and also asked what we typically like so she could refer us to something similar they make. We ordered the chicken wings for appy and the fried chicken burger (1 chicken, 1 beyond the meat) for our mains. Wings were good and arrived within 6 mins of ordering which was fantastic and we had 7 wings for our 1 pound order so they were larger which we loved. Buffalo sauce had a medium/low heat but nonetheless still good (we love spicey). If I had to critique the wings, I would suggest making them a but more crispy. Burgers arrived about 8 mins after our appetizer was done (again top notch on service) however we both noticed a burnt smell coming from both our meals. We discovered the buns had been char broiled on their grill (perhaps a tad to long) which was what was making the burnt smell. Portion size was very good, and flavors were ok. We found the burger lacking a punch, something to make us say "wow" but overall had no complaints. Overall great place, friendly staff and good selection of drinks/food and will visit again.

A Great place. The parking nearby is free after 5 Pm. The beer is reasonably priced. There's a lot of different variety for every taste. The food is a bit pricier than elsewhere, but not enough to deem it too costy. The employees are wonderful and know their stuff.

This place has fantastic beer and great staff. I am bilingual, so are the staff so you will feel comfortable in either language during your visit. The food is high quality and I can't seem to get enough of their tartare. Of course you come for the beer, however this place adds a great dining experience with a wonderful patio. Servers are responsive and know their products. I have yet to feel disappointed and I don't think they're capable of that, so I think I'll continue to enjoy every visit. This place is a win for dining and local beer.
