Absolutely love this place. I didn't really expect to find such an awesome plant-based place in downtown Gatineau but everything is fantastic - food is vibrant and creative, service is attentive, and the atmosphere is very nice. And the price is quite reasonable relative to other fancy places. Astoria is one of my favorite places and would definitely recommend that you check it out!

This restaurant is a gem. The decor is beautiful and fresh and the patio is nice for fresh air. Every single dish ordered by our table, including something as simple as the pizza was exquisite. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and reasonably priced and the food so good, that even the carnivores at the table sang the praises of their meatless but delicious dishes. Try the Pad Thai and Penang curry. You will be glad you did. On top of it all, service was top notch.

Me and a few friends picked this place to have our first meal out since the pandemic. What a treat! We ordered some of their inventive and pretty cocktails, entrees, and dessert with hot drinks. Our meals were creative, satisfying, and super tasty. A highlight was probably my wife's General Tao's Poutine which I kept picking at with their long, elegant silverware (perfect for stealing bites) and the chocolate mousse tart for dessert which I ordered. We are definitely going to go back to this place many, many times, it's just a skip across the border from Ottawa, and we look forward to seeing what the interior looks like. The only negative: Although I made a reservation for the terrasse (because one in our party has unvaccinated children to protect), something was lost in translation and they said it was closed when we arrived. Our group (of four) stood abandoned on the sidewalk, deciding our next move when a staff member came out and said they would let us sit on the street-side patio (there's one in back and one street-side) and it was chilly for an early August night (low teens celsius and calling for rain) but we were determined to enjoy ourselves and were just happy at that point to have a table.

I really enjoyed my time here! I was a bit worried that the veganized version of some classic meals wouldn't be my thing, so I got the Burger Fauxmage Facon to be safe. It has a beyond meat patty, fauxmage as the name suggests, caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce and hefty buns and comes with a side of fries. It was absolutely delicious and filling. I also got the "Dark and Stormy Mure" drink which is a beer with rum and some other liquor topped with blackberries and mint, which was also really good. Our server was kind and attentive even though they seemed to be managing a large number of tables at once. The atmosphere inside is beautiful and modern, however it was a tad too hot - it didn't seem like any air was circulating, but that may have been due to where we were seated. The patio at the front doesn't exactly match the vibe you get on the inside of the restaurant, but it seemed like there was a patio at the back which seemed to be decorated with more intent than the front. The one thing I will note is that not all staff wore their PPE properly.

New favourite brunch spot! We sat in the cozy sunroom. All of the food was bursting with flavour and the drinks were equally tasty. A real treat for the soul. Passed by the bakery for some goodies to go. Highly recommend to all vegans and non-vegans!

Let me first say that I'm not vegan, but my wife and sons are, so we always are on the lookout for good vegan places. This place is by far the best vegan restaurant I've come across. I would blindfold my carnivore friends and feed them the burgers, hotdogs, and pizza from Astoria, and their minds would be blown as mine was. Best. Food. Ever.

I stumbled upon this restaurant and was so happy to see the diverse menu! Not just the usual salads and "healthy" foods at most vegan restaurants, but they offered some delicious pub style foods. The portions were large and we were all super impressed by the flavours! I would also recommend getting the cookies and milk for dessert!

Just amazing! Everything about this restaurant was unreal. The staff were so nice. All vegan / plant based creative foods, and sooo good. Lots of gluten free options. And they even had vegan gluten free macarons and locally roasted coffee. And their cocktail and mocktails list was legit. Just go, and enjoy! Highly recommended!

I've been plant-based for over 5 years and this is hands down the best vegan restaurant I've found so far. Loved this new vegan restaurant! They have a HUGE menu; I was especially impressed with their diverse brunch options. I got the gluten-free Waffle Club Sandwich (with tempeh bacon, tofu chicken, mayo) and a side of home fries. The food was absolutely delicious. The portion was enormous, the price was reasonable, and delivery (via Ubereats) was quick and efficient. Astoria is located next to Pastel & Coco which offers great healthy vegan desserts too. I think they're the only two vegan restaurants in Gatineau so it's important to support these compassionate, ethical businesses!

My niece and her husband treated us to a fabulous meal on Thursday using the takeout option from this bistro. I, the sole vegan, and four discerning omnivores were delighted with our meals. The takeout options are extensive and the online menu is informative & helpful for making selections. Despite being takeout, the meals arrived hot, nicely presented and the portion sizes were great. We were all extremely pleased with our meals; pad thai, jackfruit pulled ‘pork’ & fries, black bean burger & fries, and beyond meatball sub & fries. The desserts (brownies and crumble) were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores who are accompanying them.

The food here is good, menu options are great and everything is vegan. I’ve eaten here several times now and the one negative I can say that there are definitely inconsistencies up in the kitchen. Some days the food is amazing and other days is not. For the price per meal the kitchen staff should always be banging out top notch dishes.

Food and service was good but when you order a coffee with milk it cost .50 extra on a $60.00 dollard for breakfast for two. Not offended that it cost us 60.00 for breakfast only that they charge .50 extra for milk in your coffee.

Today we had a fabulous mid day lunch. I had the “Beyond” burger which was super delicious and prepared just right with fresh condiments. This required a Caesar of course with the meal and finished off with a tasty cafe. Great experience and service. Will definitely return to enjoy another wonderful dish.

I was in Ottawa this long weekend, so I decided to check out the bakery/café side, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the price is comparable to other vegan restaurants (so a little bit pricey), but worth it. I'm just sad it was closed on Thanksgiving day so I couldn't go back while I was here.
