This location has it All, from equipment to kits or make your own wine in house, this is the place. It has helpful staff who really know their stuff. The place is neat and organized pretty intuitively so finding what you need doesn't take long at all. The prices are reasonable for the quality your getting.

Wonderful beer and very helpful staff. Especially the handsome gentlemen in the "Brew on Premise" section. Bought all the parts for my kegerator through them as well as about 10 kegs of beer now. The brown ale is great but my favourites are the stout and the NEIPA they recently started making. The west coast IPA was also very good. Haven't had a bad keg yet.

Good selection on beer, wine and spirit supplies. Staff at this location are leaps and bounds better than the St Mary's location. These guys are friendly and helpful. Didn't rate 5 stars as they've been jacking the prices up way too much year over year and it seems to be getting worse. If you're like me and do your research online for the best price then go in and buy make sure they honor their website's price as often times they advertise a lower price online and ring up more at the till.

Awesome place. Really helpful staff, came in not knowing exactly what i needed and they were happy to help figure out what i was missing for an awesome price. They also gave me a lot of good info for my upcomming brew. Store is much bigger than i expected and is well equiped for pretty much anything you want to brew. They even offer a brewing service if you dont have the time and space to brew your own but you still want to have a custom drink... would recommend to anyone who wants to brew or just wants to have some custom brewed for them.. if i could give 6 stars i would.

It a great store but the normal prices on the website don't match up with what's on the shelf. Also if it's on sale on the web page don't expect to get it in-store on the product. If you need it they probably have it but it seems whatever sticker is on the product is the price you will pay. So they get 2 stars only because they had some odd stuff i was looking for not because of service at the cash. Hopefully this was just a one time problem on all the stuff I got.

Great selection and friendly owner. You can also rent fruit presses and macerators here for a very reasonable price. Better for bulk common ingredients than say specialty malts. Beer yeast is often not very fresh but they'll give you expired packs for free.

Every worker there knows what they are talking about and will help you at any step in your journey! If you give them a call and need some advice they can usually get any issues dealt with over the phone. Just getting started with crafting and they were tons of help for a first timer! Would reccomend highly to anyone interested.

Purchased a Robobrew system today from them for delivery due to the widespead overreaction to a virus. Phoned for an eta as none was given when I recieved email confirmation. Phone lines were busy and had to call a few times to get through. Understandable under current cuircumstances. When I asked for an eta I was told 2 or 3 days, which again, under the circumstances I found understanable and acceptable. Well, it was not even an HOUR before my doorbell rang and my new Robobrew system was sitting there in all its glory! Great service!

I have purchased a lot of beer and wine making supplies through the years here and they are always very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a large selection of products at the warehouse location on St. James. I would highly recommend shopping here for all your fermenting needs.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Customer service is terrible - everyone I’ve ever come across seems bored and they are unfriendly and unhelpful. They also randomly close down the store in the middle of the day which is incredibly frustrating when you’re on a schedule with your wine and you need something from the store. I’ve even called the day before (I had to call at least a dozen times throughout the day before someone actually picked up the phone!) to confirm the hours and I showed up at 3pm, which is well within the store hours that I had just confirmed, and here they decided to close at 1pm that day. It’s a terrible store! Go to The Wine Baril instead - they are friendly and helpful and keep consistent hours!

Was overcharged on my order. I was overcharged 40 dollars on my order at the till on the Sargent location. I live outside of Winnipeg and do not go into Winnipeg that often so I tried to resolve my issue. The manager said I had to verbally tell him about the sale prices of their online. I have not received a store credit or my money back. I have tried to phone and email for resolve. I guess I will need to make a formal complaint through Consumer Protection...... I am going to try today again to resolve this. Very disappointed..... So i got an email today from Someone at Brewers direct. They said to come in and they would give me an item that would be worth 40 dollars. They told me their advertisement the email is different from the store? No where on the adds does it say that. If your stores are having a sale...... you would have it in the store or state "on line orders only". Just saying....... some poor business practice. I will update my post if they come through with their offer of resolution.

Purchased an insulated cooler bag for fast fermenter 01/02/2020 and I feel that I was overcharged. I walked into the store and looked for the item. Eventually I showed the cashier (older male) the website picture because I did not locate the item. He recognizes the item, leaves and upon return to desk, he throws out a pink tag in the garbage and asks me what the website price is. I quoted it and he states that is correct price and rings it through. I look at the item and theres an additionally green tag showing it was for 25 dollars on the item itself. He trys to pick it off stating that it's a worker tagging error. I know that it's boxing week and there are year end deals going on. He should have just rung through the tag price. If it was actually wrong go back and change prices on the rest of the merchandise and not try to cover it up to the consumer. I will not shop there again.

I found these guys to be very helpful. For a first timer and making something, they ensured I had what I needed and not over sell me on things I could get elsewhere or wasn't nesscary. Further, they ensured I knew what I needed later on. Last they ensured I knew what to do during the fermentation process and what to look for and do to ensure my finished product was good. And I am very pleased with the final product.

Customer service is horrible, I placed an online order, when my order showed up it had additional items added to the order, one item that was added to my order was liquid smoke, the liquid smoke seal broke and drained out in the box destroying everything I had ordered. When I emailed the store they just said Sorry to hear that. I then called the store and asked to speak to the manager, the manager said they would re-send me my items but never came through on their promise. Since then I have not placed an online order with this place. My advice is to beware, they do have great prices but when you loose a $130.00 on 1 damaged order it makes it worth the while to order from different company.
