Had previously purchased the 16L boxes at a different location but on my trip to ottawa i saw a magnotta was there and made plans to go. I headed to the tasting area and my partner and I told them we were each buying a box of wine. White for me, red for him. And for the $200+ they knew we were spending I was extremely surprised that they were not friendly, acted very rude and didnt have the knowledge of their products that I expected. We still purchased our 2 boxes but left dissapointed with the customer service.

Decided to pop in for fun and had a great time. As someone who is just getting into drinking wine it was a really fun place to shop. Staff are knowledgeable, super friendly and helpful! I got to test out a variety of different wines to find out what i liked the most and purchased bottles based on that. They also have different types of ciders and a few of their beers as well. Prices are very good. I got 3 bottles of wine and two apple ciders for under 30 bucks.

We discovered Magnotta in Woodbridge when we lived in Caledon, and when we moved to Guelph, we were at a loss. Where to get great wines at great prices. We were NOT disappointed. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and the prices are perfect. 16 Litres of wine, for 80 bucks. (OR thereabouts) It is nice to have on hand for guests and the upcoming summer months. The wine tastes lovely as well.

I was really happy when I passed Magnotta wines and finally decided to stop in the store a few years ago! Greg, the assistant manager is always polite, friendly and helpful when I've been served by him. The wine is really good and the prices are great, especially for the house wines. After finding this gem, I rarely go to LCBO anymore to buy wine. I often recommend Magnotta to my friends and co-workers. Also the Kurtzie's salami they sell is really tasty, the best I've ever eaten.

It's a great place to start knowing more about wine in Ontario VQA, staff is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Open to answer as many questions as you have. Prices ranges from 8 CAD to 32 CAD, where premium wines start at ~20 CAD. They have many local varieties, and also an International series, those grapes are coming from abroad. The wine styles also are comprehensive, from sparkling: charmat and classic method to Passito Italian Styles, Ciders, apple-based wine, they are pretty versatile. And what I have tasted price/quality ratio is such a great option.

Super Economical Prices, Fantastic Selection, Helpful Staff! For wine aficionados, Magnotta is great alternative to the LCBO, with a vast selection of their Ontario VQA wines. Their pricing is considerably more affordable, offering local wines, international blends, large quantity wines, and home vinification kits. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable, provide assistance immediately upon request, and operate a wine tasting bar where you can try almost anything in the store. My fiancee and I shop here at least once a month

Just left this store and I have to say- the most wonderful staff and the best service I've ever recieved when purchasing wine. Kimberly was so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. And to top it off she really knows how to explain the types of wine they carry to someone who isn't that familiar with wine. The manager, Caitlin, was also very welcoming and ready to help. In terms of public health and safety, they really do everything they can to reduce contact. The prices are great, all while supporting local businesses. You can't go wrong getting your wine from Magnotta! I will be purchasing my wine needs from this store from now on!

Fantastic wine and selection. I have not set a foot into an LCBO since friends told me about this place earlier this year. I buy the 16 litre boxes and they are about half the price of a half decent domestic wine at the liquor store. Also much more environmental friendly. I also have some red and wine in bottle. Many wines can be tried in the store so it's pretty much a low risk purchase. It's worth my while to drive 30 minutes one way every couple of months

I shopped at Magnotta when they were Iocated in Kitchener years ago. I was sorry when they moved to Cambridge however continued to buy my wine there. Normally red gave me a migraine. However the French Blend changed that. All thanks to being able to have a small sample. Such a wise idea. Sadly we moved to Mount Forest and are rarely in Cambridge area however still shop at Magnotta if close. Wish you were up our way say Fergus. Thank you for still being around after so many years. Walked into the store asked the salesman to tell me about the wine i was interested in he tells me its a vinemakers secret, no problem moved on to ask if i can try it, he says no ( it is a freaking 7$ dollar wine bottle) what customer service is that, you should open a bottle especially since i mentioned that i was interested in buying a full case. Anyways i gave it two stars only because i was helped by another person who was alot more knowledgable and friendly. Will not be going back and Magnotta should look into hiring the right people to sell their product. Very bad experience.

I have been using FestaBrew beer kits for a little while now, and I decided to stop and see if they carried them. Well to my surprise they not only carry FestaBrew beer kits but also a wide variety of wine kits and even a section with all of the tools and additives used in brewing beers and wines. Staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant in helping find the kit I wanted, which ended up being quite a bit cheaper than where I usually purchased from and they helped me in choosing a nice bottle of wine as well. Due to the most disturbing and unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced, I am boycotting any and all Magnotta winery locations. I feel sick with how this situation was handled. Even though my personal experience is just ONE customer out of thousands and millions, I don’t wish this scenario on anyone. It wasn’t just an individual store location that was upsetting to me either. I have been in touch with the regional manager for Southern Ontario and his lack of compassion for customers and their satisfaction is disappointing and appalling. He would rather stand up and defend his employee than consider supporting the mistreated shopper. The Cambridge store manager even refused to speak with me. How unprofessional. I don’t make a fuss about customer service EVER. I never complain about quality of food at a restaurant EVER. I never feel it is necessary to go beyond expressing my concerns and then leaving it at that. But I can’t let this one go. I was not able to get ANY validation or justification for the disrespect that was shown towards myself and my family. I will NEVER, EVER, shop at any Magnotta winery locations and will encourage all of my family and friends not to as well. I would have given this rating 0 stars if it was an option.

Customer satisfaction is NOT a priority to this business. I’ve been supporting this location for years and years and the one time that I felt I was wronged and mistreated, they brushed me off like it was nothing and like I was overreacting. The manager even said to me, “You’re making this bigger than it needs to be.” WOW! Completely unacceptable and appalling. They even felt the need to lie to cover up their wrongdoing. Went to the Mississauga location today. From the second I walked in I got nothing but bad attitude from the 2 women working in the front. I then asked what juices they had available and the woman threw a list on the counter and said “what are you looking for?” I asked if they had Cabernet Franc, and she said “I’ll just tell you what we have in and you tell me what you want ok?” At this point she just rhymed off about 8 kinds as fast as she could. I don’t have a digital tape recorder in my head so I asked what about this one? to which she replied “I just told you what we have!” Some of the worst customer relations I’ve ever seen. My father used to deal with the Magnotta family for years but I’ll never spend another dime in there. Stay away from this place.

I completely agree with the other customer's rating and comments. I went there all the way from Mississauga North West, drove 27 kms to get there because they closed the Brampton location. It was the first time I went there instead of looking at Vin Bon from Brampton. BIG MISTAKE! As soon I got inside, I felt the woman was upset that I did not sanitize my hands. The tone was quite rude. It put me off and I went straight to the wine section to take my 16L Cab and left. I always buy 6 pales to get 1 free in July, but I will rethink about it may be it's not worth it anymore. Specially the price went up as well: $114.99 for 16L Cab. It was $104 recently. Bad experience, but I was already there and did not bother. But I will definitely not go there anymore.

I ordered some wine for the first time by using their curbside pick up. I chose the Maison Rouge to try out- it is great! Lots of choices with great price points. The service was great as well! Very friendly and welcoming :) Will definitely be ordering again!

This was written in MAY 2020 during the COVID 19 lock down. This place is faster and better than the lcbo. I placed my order online and within 12h my order was ready for pick up. if you are ordering for delivery instead store pick up, delivery will be delayed because canada post is back logged 2 weeks, so just do pick up. There was 0 human contact for the pick up. I just pulled into the parking lot, opened my trunk, sat in my car. they came out loaded my order into my trunk and that was it. It was very fast, there was no waiting, no errors, no issues, and none of that sh*t you get with the lcbo. I highly recommend giving this store a try, fast, good service with many good buys. You can find a decent bottle of wine for 9-15$ here. If you like more high end bottles they have those available as well. They also have a charity line, called the "venture" line where a portion of proceeds go to charity. This bottles are about $15 at the time of this review. Bonus for the ladies and the queens, they have a 60 calorie per glass wine selection. currently 3 different flavours to pick from. My top picks - 1925 "champagne" sparkling wine - stiletto 60 calorie wine - riesling VQA- sugar-6.4 g/L - EQUUS pinot Noir Rose, for the rose lovers - VQA- Sugar-5.9 g/L -Any bottle from the Venture line The "Classics" "maison" line is their blended grapes, "house" wine which is the cheapest priced wine. *Lastly, I would love to see the EQUUS line have a rebrand with a new label as it looks a bit dated currently.

Why haven't I been shopping here for years? The wine is great, and I save 10 bucks a box versus the LCBO. Plus the 8L box fits perfectly in a Harley chopped tour pak. The staff are very knowledgeable and very friendly every time I shop here. Definitely recommend this place.

Went there today to get a 16L box. The lady there was very cool and nice. I didn't realize but they have nice carts which allows ease to carry the large units. Great staff. Location was clean and welcoming to everyone. :)

Customer service here is amazing. Great prices and good deals on larger quantities The staff are the best. Unfortunately I really don't like many of the wines I have tried. Fruit wines are thicker textured and syrupy. The flavors of the white wines are really off to me. Just personal taste I guess. I like smoother, clear wine.
