You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is very positive, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very faithful. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Winery belongs to the category of Winery.
Made a reservation for a wine tasting with my GF. We got seated near the pool and it was lovely. Then she had to jump on a business call so I decided to go to the restaurant alone. They wouldn’t let me in cause we didn’t “come in together”. So I eventually said a table for one. 20 mins later her call ended and she came to the restaurant where they proceeded to seat us separately because we didn’t “come in together”. See note able where we came to the wine tasting together. These are tricky times. Could have been handled better.
Wow, this place really impressed me! The views are stunning, both wine tastings are great (though I'd recommend upgrading to the $25 high end tasting, vs $20 baseline tasting), and our lunch was amazing! Absolutely worth the visit.
Set the standards high for any vineyard visited after this. Perfect for kids and families. A must see, explore and savor winery!
Today I was served the best meat I have ever eaten. I ordered the lamb rack and it was beyond anything I could have ever expected. It was true perfection. Perfectly medium rare, perfectly seasoned, perfectly charred, perfect. I will dream about that meat. Service was excellent and prices are fair.
Staff grounds and wine were all excellent. Very spacious property lots of parking, pool gardens restaurant very well done
What a Fantastic place. There are many items from Mr. Coppola's Movies. They have a swimming pool and Bocce ball, a full Bar. The details of the Architecture are Amazing. The staff were attentive, we had a tasting with Linda who was great. Our favorite place so far!
Beautiful winery, great memorabilia and fabulous grounds. Wine I tasted was good not great.
Staff are very friendly and the place is first class clean.
No reservations available last minute, but no surprise. Very helpful staff, great food and drinks for all occasions.
Do the private wine tour with Daniel. Check out the memorabilia. Have dinner at Rustic.
The winery is amazing. Beautiful view all way around it.
All of the wines were tasty. We got a reserved secluded and quite section. Very worth it.
Very nice place full of memorabilia. The staff was super nice and helpful. Very reasonable prices for tastings. The views are amazing as well. Great place to visit!
Spent the whole day with the pool, tour, tasting, lunch and dinner. It was absolutely amazing. Come early at 11am to get a good spot in the lawn.
Get a cabine. You’re life will be changed.
Good wine. Great venue. Ok food. Excellent service.
Beautiful location, very busy. Nice selection of wines
Our family favorite for food, wine and atmosphere. Beautiful location and the best service available. We love this place!
I would give one star but the scenery was beautiful. The wine was mediocre and expensive. We are from Utah so we could not get the shipments to make the tasting less money but even if we could we would not have. The staff was not knowledgeable, no insight into the wines, or the process. Not much for the kids to do and food selection was lacking. The charcuterie was mediocre. Overall just a poor experience that was expensive.
What an amazing experience. The wine tasting was great and had lunch at the restaurant. Definitely a must.
Beautiful surroundings, unfortunately, service is mediocre at best. I went to FFCW for lunch and a wine tasting recently. I understand that many restaurants are learning how to operate in this new norm that we live in, however, our server was either having a rough day or was definitely not prepared to be back at work again. Once she took our order we barely saw her again. We had other servers walking by and noticing the pile of dishes on our table and removing them to help her out. And, at one point, we had to chase her down to place a drink order (due to safety measures the restaurant was not even close to capacity). The food was also mediocre. Not to mention the staff was all on very different pages and told us very different things throughout the day. We arrived for our second wine tasting that day (we made a reservation for 2 separate tastings) only to be told we could only have 1 tasting per day. No one throughout the entire day told us that customers could only have 1 tasting a day and every staff member told us to actually enjoy our 2nd tasting. When we were turned away for a second tasting it was embarrassing, to say the least. I am happy I was able to check out this vineyard that I have heard so much about but unfortunately, I will not be returning and I highly recommend for others to seek out an alternate vineyard. There are a ton of awesome vineyards with impeccable service and food that allow you to enjoy all of their wines and relax on their grounds. Unfortunately, FFCW is not one of them.
We enjoyed lunch in the veranda overlooking the vineyard. Lunch was expensive but I expected it to be. The vegetable garden was lovely and the atmosphere around the entire place was festive. I was disappointed that they did not offer tours of the production. We were told there was only one tour a day at 3:30 and we had to leave before then. The wine was delicious.
Super friendly staff, excellent wine and very military friendly. Really enjoyed our visit. The movie memorabilia everywhere was very enjoyable to peruse.
A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND THE DAY!!!
Best day with anya
Great staff, great wine, great experience!!
It was terrible. Waited 12 min in the hot sun for our reservation (they don't provide any shade except for a small area near the door and it was already taken). Was seated and waited 5 min before we finally asked if we could have water. 5 min later the server passed by our table with an armful of dirty dishes and over the his shoulder said "what are you having?" We didn't know if he was taking our food order or what but because we know they have specialty cocktails, we asked to see the menu for them. Still holding those dishes he said "they're on the back" which they aren't. We showed him the back was wine so he took off to get it. Meanwhile we finally figured the kid we asked for water was the busboy and he was still wandering around the station and had apparently forgotten the water. We asked again. We are now 17 min seated with no water, let alone been able to order a drink. So if your doing the math, we waited 12 min for a reservation and 17 min for decent wait service. The server then came over and again with his body half turned and over his shoulder said "what are you having"? At this point we didn't know if he was taking a drink order or food or both but if you're going to ask me to pay $30. for short ribs or $70 for a steak, I'm expecting MUCH better service than what we had. Tip to Coppola, train your busboy to pick up dishes, pour water. Train server to never take an order with dirty dishes and approach each table with a little more than the same greeting you get at a dive bar. Very disappointed especially since this was a favorite before covid.
Another excellent winery. The place is off the hook with having a pool. BUT, the wine is GARBAGE now. I haven't been here since 2013
Probably the best wine I have ever had the merlot is fantastic!
Loving the new Pool House wines. Great service aa always
Nice movie museum. The wines good too.
Some amazing wines, and the restaurant meal was fantastic and reasonably priced. Pleasantly surprised compared to some reviews I read. Definitely a destination winery. There is a fantastic pool if you want to spend the day with great wine and food and fun in the sun. The 2013 Archimedes wine was one of the best I have ever tasted. Can't say enough good things. A real gem.
Fantastic wine tasting experience. Great atmosphere, you can taste at your own speed, and you are not being rushed or being given a sales speech. The place is full of memorabilia from some of Francis Ford Coppola's most successful films like The Godfather, Tucker, Dracula, and Apocalypse Now. As much of a museum as a winery this is a must visit location.
Love the outside seating for tasting. Always end up leaving with a case of something off the reserve list. So good.
I had been wanting to visit this beautiful place for about 2 years!! Today, I it happen with my girlfriend and we loved it!! Wonderful staff, tasty food, beautifully landscaped, and really fun vibe. I'll be back soon!!!
Such a beautiful view of the multicolored vineyards right now. Loved the food & the service was great.
This place from driving up to it was the most beautiful entries they have these big gate that says the Coppola on it and it drives up to this beautiful castle it was the most amazing place the gates that the customer service was great down from us entering from the bar from the pool they had little teepee so the kids can read in it the the scenery was unbelievable we got to do the wine tasting and enjoying the wonderful wedding engagement party for Martha Avila I will definitely recommend this to friends and family because not only was it kid friendly and had other kids there it was just a perfect environment for every part of our family to enjoy being even made it clear that we didn't have to do the wine tasting that cuz they have a full-service bar there so it made it even perfect once again I will definitely recommend this place from one and all to come in and Joy on a wonderful special occasion like we did at the Francis Ford Coppola
For $25 fast you can enjoy 4 selection of their best and top of the line wine. The best thing about the testing experience that I had was the staff behind the counter. They will explained to you from when they pick the grapes and when they bottle their wine. That shown me how the sale staff are involved from the beginning to the end of their product. Some sale person don't have that information in some winery. That shown me, they know what they were doing at the winery.
Beautiful place and excellent service. Great wines!!!
Great Hidden GEM right off of Hwy 101 "Rustic" Restaurant was an Amazing Experience. LOVE the Cinematic Museum with Original show pieces from the Francis Coppola Film Genre. A Must Visit!!
This was my first trip to California. All I wanted to do was taste my favorite wine at Francis Ford Coppola's Winery. Wonderful wines. Great service. The bartender and his friends were remarkable. It rained all day, but I loved the wine country after visiting Coppola's winery. I plan on bringing my friends along next time I visit California.
A large wine selection and exceptional tastings ($20 for regular, $25 for reserve - 4 wines each) The cherry on the icing is the amazing movie items on display from all of Coppola's films. All the original oscars and awards are also on display! I thought the place would be too commercial and expensive - especially due to the fabulous pool, but surprisingly good value compared to other wineries in area!) Definitely recommend a visit!
The grounds and atmosphere are beautiful. The service was great. The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but the lemon tart dessert, now that was deliscious!
What an excellent find! Easy access off 101, great wine, amazing vistas!
Pool days at Coppola are just awesome
Food and ambiance was awesome. Bram Stocker's Dracula display was cool. Reserve a table with a view of the vineyard you won't regret it.
I've been to many wineries in my career and I can tell you Coppola is world class. Beautiful is an understatement for both the buildings and the grounds. They also have a pool. A really really big pool! The restaurant is fantastic, we had a family style Italian meal on their terrace. They made my group fell like we were family that night.
Took my husband there for outdoor lunch for the first time. Relying on an earlier visit when I treated my son to a marvelous lunch, a bottle of Pinot Director’s cut, dessert, games of Bocci ball and backgammon poolside. This visit couldn’t have been more different. After being seated, we were ignored for 30 minutes: No water, no bread, no acknowledgement. Finally, I made my way back to hostess and told her we were still waiting for a server to approach out table. Had the nice wine, food was haphazardly served: very little dressing on Caesar and Vesuvius pizza was totally overstuffed with Ricotta and not much meat. Our service was sad afterward We ate as well. Thank goodness it was a nice day. I was sad I had recommended this as an alternative Valentines celebration (my husband was out of town for Valentines and a week prior). Of course, we waited for both Bocci ball courts but the group Played on ordering another bottle of wine and they used the backgammon tables to pour and eat on. No games today. Will think twice about bringing any more guests!
What can you say but WOW! From the upstairs tasting room (First Flight Tasting) to the Restaurant (Rustic) to the pool, you can’t beat the experience!! Knowledgeable tasting room staff (one person) did a great job with a full house when we arrived and gave us his full attention when he poured our tastings. Was provided a trade discount after sharing that I was a wine guide in the Willamette Valley. We had made lunch reservations for 12:45 and were seated immediately at our requested table outside (overlooking the vineyards). Wonderful & attentive waitperson who was a joy to work with. Food was very good and costs were what was expected. After lunch we visited some of the displays of movie memorabilia including the classic Turner car. If you have the time, do some planning ahead of time and have the pocket book, this is a must see place!!!
3 of us visited last week and found that everything was very clean and safety guidelines were held to a high standard. The surroundings are elegant and dramatic and the view from the patio we were seated on was stunning! Probably one of the best in the area. However, we weren't allowed to walk the several feet across the patio to take a picture of the view even though there was nobody else seated on the patio or near where we wanted to take a picture. We asked if there was an area we could get a good view for a picture and we were told to go out to the parking lot. What was even less impressive was the tasting itself. Our server was pleasant but very lacking in any depth or enthusiasm in his presentation and we felt very hurried through the experience. Only one glass was used for the entire flight, which doesn't bother me in the least, but I wasn't even done tasting one wine before he was back to pour the next one. The wines themselves were mediocre at best which was disappointing considering the price of the tasting and the lack of hospitality given. We were in and out in a half hour even though the reservation slot was for an hour so we were fairly underwhelmed to say the least. There was one gentleman working who was very kind on our way out and showed us the way to the restroom and also encouraged us to take a path around the parking lot out to the vineyard to take a picture. Not the same amazing view but still somewhat helpful. Overall, it was an OK experience, the beautiful building and landscape was this stops saving grace thus the 3 stars, but I doubt that I would go back considering we had much better experiences and wines at other locations.
Great to have rack of lamb at Rustic again!
We ended up here on a whim and I'm so glad we did. Group of 4, without a reservation, sitting at the rustic bar with Laura as our bartender. (There was some speculation after we left that it may have been Lauren, so I apologize if I'm wrong.) She was amazing. She embraced our shenanigans and joined in on the fun. We were one of the last groups to leave, and she was a trooper the entire time.
Really awesome place. The area needs a better tourism director to lead people around to awesome destinations like this. My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The reserve tasting room upstairs is really awesome and the restaurant's service, food, atmosphere was great especially the fried pizza dough with sea salt....I know...I know.... but dont knock it until you try it
Beautiful venue. It is a brilliant and uplifting experience just to got there. Even if you don't drink wine. A bookshop and souvenir store is great. A stunning display of a genuine 1948 Tucker classic car. The pool bar is great for a snack or lunch. Wines are excellent. Tasting and wine prices are excellent value for money. Joined the club and going back again.
I enjoyed my time at this winery. Great artifacts from the movie Godfather. Nice gift shop. Great wine! Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but the items on the menu seemed very tasty. Hopefully I can make a trip to this location again!
Nice place. Didn't have time to try what they have to offer, more than just wine. I will visit again next time I'm in the area.
Friendly people. Excellent service. Premium wines are expensive.... but worth it
The menu at the pool cafe seemed simple and unremarkable but the food was EXCELLENT! Exceeded my expectations. What a fantastic day! We will ne back.
Old world classy - lovely place to visit!
Francis Ford Coppola is such an amazing winery to visit. This property offers a variety of things for their visitors. They have an array of display for the props used for the movie The God Father, Cleopatra, etc...Rustic restaurant had the most delicious gourmet food in town. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the vineyard. During the summer, they have mini concerts and also open the pool to the public. It’s one of my favorite winery in Sonoma ♥️
No value to stars in this review, only a posting to let others know that dogs are not allowed. Looks like a great place, and greeter was helpful. Food is served in all parts of the winery so no pets allowed. That's appropriate, but we wish we could have learned that on the website.
My family and I are on our way to Oregon and this winery was a stop for momma to enjoy..with my husband and 2 kids we are pulling a travel trailer. We were planning to have some lunch and check out the grounds. Unfortunately, the bus parking was taken up with cars. The bus parking area did not have a sign that said "bus parking only" so cars parked there of course. Called the front office and said that yes that was the only parking and to please not park on the road. So unfortunately...we had to leave. This stop was just for mom...but now we have to settle for fast food. A suggestion would be to place a bus only sign in order to avoid car parking in those areas. I was really looking forward to it...but sadly couldn't stay.
A few weeks ago, we went to Rustic, at Coppola Winery, on a Tuesday night, for A Tavola. On Tuesdays, they offer a family style dinner, where they let you sample many of their dishes, and even provide entertainment. When we were there, they had a pretty amazing tenor singing in Italian, and playing the accordion, and he did requests! (Hate myself for not getting a name). I had the once in a lifetime experience of having Speak Softly Love sung to me in Italian. Just like Anthony Corleone does, in the Godfather 3. What a memorable night, I cannot wait to go back!!!
Always enjoy our visits there.
I have been a guest of my daughter and her husband on three different occasions. It is wonderful. It is family friendly without the chaos. Even the children seem to appreciate the beauty and we adults sip our wine by the pool in utter contentment. We love the food, the wine and the service. You are treated as a VIP. The location deceives you into believing you are on cruise or many miles from home. The sky above you makes relaxing unavoidable. Now, my daughter says to me, "You and dad need a break, let's go spend the day at Coppola's."
Incredible views, great service, lovely food, fantastic wines.
Beautiful setting, very drinkable wines. Enjoyed our tasting with very friendly (& all masked!) staff. Ordered a Sofia pizza for carry out--delish! Fun to see all the film memorabilia, but felt a little bit touristy.
Love the props from the actual movies. Staff extremely friendly.
Totally worth it for the price of wine tasting and a short tour guide around the place. Definitely would recommend if you are a wine enthusiast and would be even more special if you are a fan of Mr. Coppola!
It was not a good experience!!! The staff had a personality of a wet mop. She did not take the time to explain the back story on how it was started. Did not explain the type of grape that was used and how. No outside heaters, though they did provide us with blankets. I would not recommend at all. They missed the mark on customer satisfaction. I gave them two stars for the movie memorabilia.
Beautiful Winery Great tasting, the Cab was delicious
Tasty food and beautiful views. We've also been to their family 'character ' night and had a great time, amazing food and really funny waiters totally in character all night long!
Excellent customer service from all staff. Food was very good (salmon and chicken mattone).
Absolutely beautiful grounds, building, etc. The tasting staff was very friendly and informative. The restaurant was just okay especially for the price. We could have skipped the meal and just did the wine tasting.
This place was very disappointing. We had the private tour and tasting. The tour was just a quick look at the bottling room and then a quick walk through the movie memorabilia. Definitely not worth the $175 we paid. We didn't have a chance to tour the vineyard or anything else. Our tour guide was very nice but his wine knowledge was lacking, as he was only 22. We reserved a "cabine" for $200, which is just a changing room that comes with pool loungers. It took 25 minutes to get a waiter to take our order once we sat down and were had to flag down another waiter to reorder drinks. Not impressed.
Sophisticated wine and delicious food
The winery is quite beautiful, situated on a large vineyard and surrounded by the Sonoma hills. The wine is also great, as was the food and the staff. My only complaint is their membership (or "Family" as they call it), where they offer perks like use of the pool at the winery. It's a false perk, considering that the day use opportunities sell out as fast as concert tickets. We waited until our chance to to book some poolside time, and before we could lock anything in, it was completely sold out. It's a shame they are overselling this benefit as something that you can use. We will still drink the wine, but will ending our family relationship. Sadly the experience dropped from what was a 5-star, to 4.
Dear Mr. Coppola, Thank you for a wonderful experience while visiting your winery. We went to your restaurant and had a wonderful lunch and enjoyed the little white bag of bread served prior to lunch. We then toured your cinema museum which I might add is not only nostalgic but spectacular. Thank you for sharing your Academy Awards with us as that was the first time we had ever seen one live and up close. It was also awesome to see Vito Corleone's desk, Tuckers Car and Dracula armor. But, what I really came for was to see the memorabilia of one of my favorite films of all time-Apocalypse Now. You see, I saw the film when I was 7 years old with my dad and as you can imagine it is forever etched in my mind. Nonetheless, I wish I could have seen the PBR, but seeing Col. Kurtz's regalia, the Air Mobile surf board and unused film was a AN fan's dream come true. Thank you for that. We also booked the actual wine tour and your winery is absolutely amazing. Likewise, our guide (the guy with the long bushy eyebrows) did a fantastic job explaining the intricacies of wine production. It was a day of days for us driving up to your winery in Napa Valley and a experience I will soon not forget. Thank you kind sir for your the contribution(s) to the history of cinema, the memories of those films in my life and being able to come to a place to reminesce and pay respect to you and your body of work. God Bless to you and your family and I hope to visit some of your resorts in Latin America.
What a fabulous stop in Guyserville. Lots to look at and the wine shop is amazing. If you come, be sure to eat, The Rustic serves fantastic food at reasonable prices. Devine, authentic pizza.
Great food, wine, and lots to do!! Awesome views too!
Honest review: beautiful beautiful winery, you can tell that the owners and staff really love the place. We did the flight tasting at the bar which was really wonderful, then stayed for dinner at the restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly, however our server didn’t actually come to us for about an hour. It was a bit busy but not packed when we came. He dropped the bread and then we watched as he gave us the “one minute” gesture as he went to literally every other table. We were reasonably hangry & upset because the menu has an amazing selection & the place is absolutely gorgeous. After an hour of waiting we asked him for another waiter since his hands seemed full..he said sure then didn’t actually get us anyone. So why a 5 star review? Well, we were able to let another staff member what was going on and he instantly apologized and took our orders right away. From that point that staff member and our amazing waiter Jeff took amazing care of us. The amazing service and friendliest we received made up for the first waiter. The first waiter we had was not a good representation of this place at all. After dinner the amazing service continued in the gift shop where the shop attendant was able to share with us awesome info about the Tucker car in the showroom & local things to do in the area. Really really nice guy! We will definitely come again for sure, thank you for being able to turn our not so great experience into something wonderful.
A must! Really Nice place with à recap of FF career, pool if u want to cool off before or after the wine tasting. Great staff!
Reservations Required Even for wine tasting.
Excellent food as well as service. All the while observing all the protocols for safe practices.
Very fun place, both for wine and movie lovers. Start with a wine tasting, then go reserve a table at the restaurant. While you're waiting (up to one hour), you'll have enough time to enjoy the exhibitions of Coppola films artifacts. End the day playing bocce ball with a nice view and a glass of wine.
HAD A GREAT TIME HERE. Beautiful scenery, great restaurant, lots of movie memorabilia. if you are in Napa, I highly recommend stopping in!!
Great experience, fun winery with all the memorabilia. The wine is good too, though not as full-bodied as we expected. Nice range of flavours though.
I normally enjoy having lunch here but today was a different story. I understand sometimes wait staff have a table they just don't give the proper attention to and today I was the recipient of that. She didn't introduce herself nor told us the specials as she did with the table next to us so I heard her name was Madison or Kaitlyn. Didn't make it a point to remember her as I will not go back. If she sees this post I'm the one that waited 11 minutes for anchovies on my ceaser salad.
Beautifully manicured, with great views of the vineyards, lots of memorabilia, book in advance if you want to use the beautiful clean swimming pool. I did not do any wine tasting as I buy Coppola wonderful wines already but I did sit at the pool side bar and had one of there yummy cocktails and some lunch. Thanks Coppola family that we can just walk around without wine tastings to enjoy your beautiful grounds, have lunch etc. I came just after the 4ᵗʰ July, so I can imagine it gets pretty very busy. CG
Food was delicious and the service was friendly and laid back.
Great service and wine Enjoyed the smaller wineries more
The unexpected. Friends took us to the winery. Discovered it is a museum as well. This is a great place for family fun with a pool and bocce ball. My favorite winery to visit and do wine tasting. Entry cost: free.
Yes it's expensive but don't let that scare you off. It is worth it. The food here is amazing. I really love the lamb but I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. There is an interesting collection of movie memorabilia from Coppola's films including an actual Tucker Automobile and the desk from The Godfather. Take your time and enjoy.
A very enjoyable experience! My brother brought us here as a surprise pit stop on a road trip through northern California. I'm not a huge wine fanatic. I drink maybe a bottle every couple of months. But I truly enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere! It was great fun, and our bartender was a SUPER nice gentleman!! All in all, a great time. The pool area was great, and I would love to return one day and spend an afternoon lounging and drinking by the pool. I didn't try the food, but I saw many vegan items on the menu, so I'm down for that next time as well. All the way from Atlanta, GA, and coming from someone who's never even seen The Godfather films, this was a fantastic spot to check out! Recommended highly.
Great food, wonderful movie memorabilia, good wine.
Follow the rules and you won’t see the other side of the staff. The side you don’t wanna see when out enjoying yourself in Sonoma. The staff at the check in area near the parking area was solid, they welcomed us, when we asked to go to the bathroom they guided us all the way to the area (would’ve been lost without them). The check in team upstairs was a 50/50, cashier, solid, host, disappointing. We asked if we could have the umbrella opened due to the sun, he said yes, that the server would open once she came around. Server came to us and then told us that we could not open the umbrella due to high winds, we were then disappointed because the host had set improper expectations. I would’ve thought the team would communicate better than that. All this kicked things off for us on a sour note, but we tried to make the best of it since we drove 70 miles to get there. The wines were solid and what we expected, light, but a variety of notes to them. Mid way through our tasting one other customer got up with out a mask on, the staff quickly came to address it, as they should have, we just wish that it was done in a manner that didn’t call so much attention to the matter, I felt bad for the customer that this happened to while everyone was staring when it all went down. We finished our wine fast as we could after. It just felt uncomfortable. If this is what we should expect, we will never go out of our way to visit again. We understand that everyone needs to follow the rules, but there were too many misses that we expect a recently opened business to have, not a established winery with trained staff. Guess our expectations were set too high.
Though I am to young to drink, the experience was amazing. They were very accommodating to the fact that we had missed lunch and gave us a little snack before we went on the tour. Restaurant was delicious with an amazing view. The museum was very cool.
Wine tasting and dinner were super.
The staff was very great. Everything was clean and well organized. They were on time and professional. They worked like a well prepared team with exceptional communication.
This is the premier place to go in the Sonoma/Napa Wine Country. Impeccable taste surrounds this complex, with lush vinyard, English style Cott Mansion with poolside and amphitheater amenities. An original Tucker car, as the center piece of the tasting room and quite the bar around the corner. They also serve dinner by the menu as well as set calender meals not on menu. No better experience in class and accoutrements.
This place is fantastic,a real gem. The Reserve tasting room upstairs is a wonderful experience. Friendly staff, professional attitudes and attention to detail made our evening so enjoyable. We had dinner at Rustic restaurant downstairs, and the drinks/apps/dinner/dessert and lattds were fabulous. When we return to the west coast,we'll be back! But for now,we'll enjoy our new wine club membership deliveries.
Hosts are accommodating. The place is clean and well maintained. Reasonable pricing. One of the best place to get a bottle and enjoy it in their lovely venue. Highly recommended
Having visited several traditional wineries in Napa Valley we were not ready for the Coppola experience. This location is like nothing else we visited. Make sure to bring your bathing suit because the pool is open! Enjoy the dining on the terrasse overlooking the vineyards. The interior is loaded with filmmaking memorabilia and a very busy tasting room. Definitely not traditional.
The atmosphere was great! Great outdoor are and the inside has tons of mobie memorabilia (duh). The was was pretty good as well. If you go for a tasting, do yourself a favor and head to the second floor tasting room.
Great food and atmosphere.
They advertise the impossible burger yet don't offer a bun that is vegan. My only option was plain pasta, salad or some vegetables. Even the roasted veggie plate with rice was made with butter. They should at least get a bun that is vegan for their VEGAN burger. Super disappointed. I thought this was California.
Such poor customer service in the tasting room. Young man on the right never acknowledged me. His friends walked in and started talking to them. I moved over to the young lady she hesitated at first finally waited on us I gave her my amanti first family card. A customer is never an inconvenience.
The restaurant overlooks the vineyard just an amazing site. The food was great as usual and the service was top notch!
Coppola Winery is moving to twist off caps instead of real wine corks in their bottles. Reminds me of the Old Boone's Farms Wines, guess everything changes to save a few dollars and let the product quality drop.
Great atmosphere, food and view
Was double charged for all 3 bottles we had by the pool after paying 200$ Just to be at the pool management still charged for 4 bottles afterwards. Won’t be recommending again.
Absolutely love this place!! The food is delicious!!!
Many better wineries nearby with better and more substantial food, service, and wine. This place felt very restrictive. Arbitrary mandatory order for every member of your party. One other example: one in our party was vegetarian, and instead of giving them an equal portion of food compared to the rest, they just took the meat out and gave her less food until we asked for something comparable. Just seemed like an easy thing to do to feel cared for and included. Value for price was not comparable to nearby places.
If drunk milennials slurring by the pool, people vomiting from being over served is your idea of a winery experience, you may like it. We liked this place before the quality and age of the servers went down and it is no longer family-friendly place it once was.
Linda and Trent were great. I brought my 3 girlfriends with me, it was their very first time. We all had a blast, all wines were delicious. Linda let us taste Cinema, which I am already a fan of. Everybody got a bottle to take home, too. Trent took care of us upstairs, you MUST try their reserve tasting! Best part is we became members, our first wine adventure together. And let me tell you we don't commit easily.... But both Linda and Trent spent extra time with us to make sure we are familiar with other wines that come in the shipment, so we knew we were purchasing nothing but delicious product. Thank you for your time and great service! Dasha
Joined the wine club! Delicious!
A fire alarm went off during our visit which made us evacuate to the parking lot BUT everything was alright. The staff was very friendly, the food was very (pool cafe), and the wine is great! Would gladly go back again.
This is a great place, especially if you are a fan of Coppola's work. The place offers a nice variety of activities, including the pool that's great for kids. We had lunch in the Rustic restaurant and the food was delicious, as well as the service. We had the $79 3-course meal, with the wine tasting. Everything was pretty good and well served. It's not cheap, but it's worthwhile.
I have been to this Winery so many times, we've taken family and friends. We live 2 hours from here and drive all the way just to get the pizza. Best ever, plus the winery is a fun place to visit.
Beautiful place with pool, impressive building and winery, super friendly staff, good food and desserts. You should definitely experience the wine testing as the wines are great(you have two choices:20$ or 30$ per person-try the second option because you will have the opportunity to taste wines that are available only there )
Great to enjoy a lunch out on the patio! And see some of our favorite Coppola people. Food was terrific as always.
We have been to the Coppala Winery twice and had a fun time. We had lunch there the last time we visited. We brought our mothers and they thought it was a great experience. The food was very traditional Italian, which was great since my mother and I are from the Bronx and know Italian food the way it should be prepared. The movie memorabilia is fun to see. I would suggest you try to get there on a week day when the crowds aren't so large. Just don't miss this place if you're in the area.
Great day for to be pool side!
We did the wines tasting yesterday and service was okay. Nothing to brag about. My parents were not impressed with the staffs. Wanted to walk around to check out the area but one of the staff gal told us nothing to really see since the pool was closed. Thought it was a family friendly place and brought my 2 young daughters there but I was wrong. Been to better places! Save your money & skip!
The winery is beautiful and the food was amazing! Our waiter, Donald, was attentive and made great recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here.
Always stunning! This location is a step back in time to a 40s era retreat, with the pool & cabanas and bocce courts. The place is tastefully adorned with the family's movie memorabilia and treasures in every room. All overlooking a movie worthy view of the valley. Treat yourself!
I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this wine tasting. I thought it would be extremely commercial and pricey, but it wasn't all bad. Our wine expert, Erin, was very friendly and personable. Left with two bottles. The property is pretty spectacular. Nice entrance. There is a pool and bar, as well as bocce ball. I didn't care to see any of the movie memorabilia, but there appeared to be a good amount of it.
Fantastic pool experience
The rack of lamb...to die for! Incredible service, superb food. And the wine is divine!
We love everything about Rustic and the winery. Great food and drink in a wonderful environment.
Nice grounds and tasting room, however the entire winery is more of a circus. Restaurant was good. I would not recommend for some that wants to taste and enjoy wine.
Beautiful tasting room. Restaurant looks good. $$$.
Gorgeous place with delicious wines! We had a great tasting downstairs, I think his name was Justin and he was fabulous :)
This is an awesome place to visit and to eat. We had lunch in the dining room. The food was most excellent. The muffatta was true to The New Orleans recipe. It might use more olive salad. The Cobb Salad DoD not disappoint. The wait staff was better than you expect in a 5 star restaurant. Heather was most attentive, friendly and still professional.
We joined the club a few months ago and love going there. But we went to the reserve tasting room and didn’t feel like as welcomed as the first floor tasting room. Our future tasting events will be conducted on the first floor.
Last time I was here it was chateau souverain. What Coppola did here is exquisite. Had lunch at the bar with 2 wine flights and the bartender was as good as the food and wine. Delightful. Stop here. Hang out. Have fun. Great place. Thanks, Mr Coppola. You did a superb job!!!!!!
It was ok.. That's it..
Great Winery. Great food and wine. Nice place.
Not only do we like their wine, we love the grounds. Gorgeous. And it's pretty cool to go upstairs and see props from some of Francis Ford Coppola's movies, like the desk from The Godfather. Definitely worth it to stop here if you're in the area.
Good food and beautiful scenery. Service is friendly, but inconsistent. Worth a visit when you feel like lingering at a table while enjoying the view.
The pool is awesome! Make reservations well in advance. Wine excellent and grounds beautiful. Staff very helpful and happy. Great food and wine options with cabana service!
What a great stop and kid friendly! It's beautiful, there's movie memorabilia, delicious food and of course, great wine!
Very great place where to spend few hours. Great wines. Great movies gadgets!
Nice relaxing ambiance by the pool.
We visited for the second time last week. The view was spectacular and the food very tasty just as it was on our initial visit. The restaurant service, on the other hand, left much to be desired this time. Maybe all the regular staff called in sick? We will, no doubt, return as there much to see even if you have to wait for service!
Wonderful time. Excellent staff. Not just a wine tasting room but a dining experience. Food was delish and the view of the landscape was beautiful. They also have a pool bar. Lots of memorabilia of francis's films. Let there be no mistake it is an eloquent place
Great place. Nice views. Good wines. Reasonable prices but not free.
Wow !!! What a Fantastic place. There are many items from Mr. Coppola's Movies. They have a swimming pool and Bocce ball, a full Bar. My Friends joined the wine club. They also paid $30.00 to go Upstairs and sample the private reserves. The details of the Architecture are Amazing ???????? Worth a Visit. The staff were attentive,
Even during Covid-19, this place will have you smiling under your mask. Great wines. Wonderful atmosphere! A must stop.
Great wine, scenic views, delicious food and friendly staff. Tour was a bit short for $45 a pop it was a walk to the bottling area and a few tastes. They make vodka gin and whiskey too! We had the Director's cut: Cinema it was beyond expectations.
Greta pool. Social distancing makes the pooll even better.
Superb time, like every visit. The tasting and then Rustic for dinner was excellent! Top service! ????????
Outside dining a must... spectacular view and a superb wine and dinner menu. I had the rigatoni with meatballs w/a bottle of Pinot. One of the best meals and service we have had in wine country.
I am from Utah where we only import three of these wines which is a shame. The property is fantastic. The views are amazing. It smells wonderful. The wines are the best.
Great crews. Professional and efficient. A favorite of wine tanker drivers because they let us rinse out here.
Visited for the first time on July 1, 2018. Jovani was our tour guide and tasting expert. Everything was AMAZING, my boyfriend proposed to me on the property and the entire staff was so sweet in helping us celebrate. Had dinner that evening in the restaurant, food was wonderful. Overall, I highly recommend.
Delicious food and excellent service.
Slightly dissapointing visit. If you are used to European winerys and all there charm you will most likely leave this place shaking your head. Two reasons: 1. There is a pool area where you can buy seats for a ridiculous price to sit together in a beach club like atmosphere. Feels very wrong while entering a winery. 2. The stuff is unfriendly and very unmotivated. For asking very kindly if we could taste a very specific Malbec we got offered a cuvée out of Malbec and Cabernet and were told that its "almost the same". We left the place with the feeling that its not about the wine here and all its amazing process but rather to sell any kind of product and that is, indeed, very sad.
Lovely spot but limited wine tasting. Francis Ford Coppola Winery is an grandiose facility in the hills of Sonoma county. The expansive grounds, the amazing pool and all the memorabilia from FFC movie productions. The wine tasting, while tasting costs are similar for the region ($25-$45 pp), access to taste all the wines is limited to only a handful. Given there are so many wines available for sale a limited tasting selection is a bit frustrating. Still, the lunch venue is amazing on a stone terrace and you could enjoy your time here without tasting wine.
This is quite a fun winery to visit. Lovely vistas outside and of course a good collection of movie memorabilia indoors (e.g. Dracula, Apocalypse Now etc). There's a little bit of a "Disneyland" aspect to the place, but it's quite fun if taken in the right spirit. The wine flight itself was not uniformly impressive, but there were some good hits. I really liked the Director's Cut Cinema blend. All in all, worth a stop.
The food and wine are both excellent. Meals are pricey, but the Director's Cut wine is an excellent value: it costs as much as any regular restaurant bottle of wine, but it's much better than the average regular restaurant bottle of wine. And if you have to wait, the displays of movie props will keep you entertained for a while.
Nice place to visit in the area! many things to see in one location. I highly recommend that you plan to be there for over 3 to 4 hrs. The testing is amazing, they have good food and if you live around the area get the membership. We tried the membership, we received great wines but we live in Texas and very soon we noticed that we were paying too much for shipping. I did not try the day resort because it was already late by the time that we got there and we were not prepare (bath suits, etc) but it is something that I really want to experience next time! Great location right next to the highway 101.
Was a fun winery, enjoyed a late lunch at Rustic as well.
Nice place. The wines are made from different vineyards.
Unacceptable services. We came in group of 12 driving from out of state and asked for a table. We were tired and hungry. The host Denisa placed us inside the winery but we asked to sit outside so we could relax and enjoy as soon as we saw several unoccupied tables but got denied twice even we were willing to split us up. Denisa told us that those tables were already reserved and guests would show up within an hour. We took it and sat inside and finished our food within 45 minutes and didn’t see any guests occupied several tables outside. Another 30 minutes passed and those tables were still unoccupied. Denisa lied to us. I asked nicely and this is how we were treated? This is inexcusably unacceptable and we want an explanation.
It's a cool winery if your into the movie history. They have a pool and a bar with food. My biggest complaint is that it's around $50+ a chair for the pool and I dont care too much for their wine
Amazing place. You have to go with time to get to know each part of the winery inside and out. It is worth reserving a table for lunch in the restaurant, the dishes offered are the best dishes Francis Ford Coppola enjoyed in the restaurants he frequented. The prices are reasonable and the portions come great, good to have lunch with a glass of wine, perfect place. There is parking.
We visited first time several years ago, and came back today. Great food at Rustic, and excellent Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. However, most wines in the First Flight tasting were just average, not to say mediocre. I think the winery struggles with maintaining quality across so many wines and is turning into a mass producer. In addition, the tasting area was very crowded and loud, perhaps because of bad weather and everyone staying inside. It was more like a wine bar than tasting. Finally, masks are supposed to be mandatory for those not actually eating and drinking, but should be enforced better.
Dinner on the patio was amazing! Food was delicious and the view was tremendous!
This place could have easily been 5 stars for my fiancé and I. We decided to visit for our anniversary. We went on the tour and the views were amazing, we saw some Coppola film memorabilia, the wine was very smooth and delicious. We even purchased a few bottles. Since we drove from SF to this place(and we’re from out of the state plus love Sofia Coppola’s films), we decided to sit down to eat, the wait for a table outside was around 10 minutes. Then we were seated, we sat for 15 minutes and we were not acknowledged by the wait staff whatsoever. Outside was also relatively empty. We weren’t even offered some water. It was very vexing and it felt like the wait staff was serving other people around us. At the bar, we had to call the attention of the bartender to get served and after we did when we wanted to buy a bottle, he did not return to us so we left and had to get it elsewhere. Definitely, won’t be going back but it was nice to visit once. I wouldn’t recommend eating there if you’re not going to “dress the part.” I agree with Trevor's comment at the bottom of the page "If you are a young wine enthusiast or just someone exploring Sonoma, steer well clear of here." It does not give inclusive vibes at all.
The food was delicious, gorgeous view, and elegant ambience! Families welcome. And the gift shop is so cool!
Friendly service, great food and drinks
Such an amazing experience. We had a wine tasting and played bocce ball with a very knowledgeable sommelier/bocce master, Ron. Everyone was friendly, the wine was delightful and the food tasty.
If I have to advise about wine I would never recommend a popular brand but this winery surprised me. The wines are not premium quality but the whole package is worth it! When you arrive to the winery you start feeling the magic energy. Sometimes you feel you are in Italy, in a family patio, sharing your drink with the family from “El Padrino Movie”, then you start discovering the real objects used in the movies as “El Padrino” , “Dracula”, “Apolipsis Now”, “Tucker”, etc. Then the magic took you to incredible places. Thinking that “ Apolipsis Now” is my favorite movie I could not resist to say that It was a great idea to go to FrancisCoppolaWinery. Also the restaurant offers an incredible selection of food, wines. The souvenirs section is unbelievable. There is a tasting room on the upper level fantastic. The environment, location, view, food, decoration made my day. I highly recommend to visit the winery at least to check the movies museum. Other plus is that is a kids friendly winery.
What an awesome place! Even with the pool and bocce closed today, we loved our tasting upstairs, shopping, lunch and movie museum elements. As a huge Godfather fan, this was a delight ????????
Service bad, food really um unfortunate, just not a quality experience. So disappointed ???? COPPOLA ????
It’s just an awesome place. Great food, great wine and an occasional Francis sighting - what more could a person want?
The grounds here are impeccable, you feel like you're on a movie set. If you want to have a really good tasting go upstairs! It's worth the $5 extra. We had the best bar tender/wine educator Todaeo who made our tasting so much fun. All the wines were good but some were exceptional (Directors Cut Cab 89).
Delicious food and wine, Excellent service!
Love those memorabila from the Godfather. They have the desk, the car, phone used on the film and so too awards wins/ awards by the Director. Soo too got some wine tasting! Wonderful Experience!
Where do I start. Wine tasting with Kyle Richardson. Very knowledgeable about the wines, professional and just fun to be around. Then there is the restaurant Rustic. Had lunch one day and it was so good and the staff, well outstanding. Then there is dinner at the Rustic on tuesday night. Called Tavala. So much fun. Food is Incredible. The staff is the best.
Mediocre wine. Pricey tasting fees. If you want a Disney land experience, this is for you. Otherwise head to other wineries near by. Cough (Alexander Valley) Cough. Old enough to remember Souveraine. This doesn't hold a candle. Property is still beautiful even with all the fencing that was put up.
Great setting! You have to try their all inclusive dinners with entertainment!
This place is amazing! The wines are very affordable and the property is beautiful. Highly recommend visiting.
Food is very good. Cool to see all the movie memorabilia. Large pool with a pool cafe open from April to may. The good wine is a little pricey.
Bartender was very attentive, made great drinks and we were able to have amazing appetizers at the bar, while we waited for our table. The chocolate mousse was delicious. The New York steak was below fair. The property is so grandiose, especially at night.
Beautiful location and we had a great time exploring on the scavenger hunt!
Very good wine and service
Excellent outdoor space for tasting and dining,as well an amazing out door pool area with cabanas during warmer months. I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation, especially for the weekends.
Amazing place
Always the best time!
Great place thank you
We went at 10 when it was less busy but when we left around 1230 it got very busy. Pool was fully reserved. We did the Sonoma tasting downstairs that cost $20...service was good, there zucchini fries($13) at the outside bar was delicious.
Great food and great service. Attention given to every detail. I'm not necessarily a fan of Coppola but dude knows food. Really good staff and the facility is meticulously maintained. Beautiful place. If you're in the area you need to come here.
Wine tasting and tour was great fun. Interesting seeing the bottling line and hearing the history behind the winery. Would love to come back in the summer when the pool is open to have some wine and a cigar.
I've been here 3 times now and there is a reason I keep coming back! Amazing staff amazing wine and I love that they have a pool. Haven't tried thier food yet.
Amazing experience! We have three kids (2-13 yrs). Very family friendly, but still beautiful, great wine, and great service. Must visit for anyone who needs to to Sonoma w/ kids in tow - pool was key in bringing the experience to the next level.
I love this place....it is a very popular destination and so much more than a winery. We visit especially when friends are in from out of town. It is definitely a must see especially if you are a Francis Ford Coppola movie fan.
Super cool estate, wasn't expecting such a destination or would have arrived earlier to spend more time here (arrived at 5 pm). Next time I'll schedule a half day here alone! Fantastic pool, wine tasting, lunch and dinner! They just need cabins or a small hotel here next!
