We have all the reviews of real people who purchase the products and services of Beringer Vineyards (Winery) in Fort Frances (Canada).
At the moment the business gets a score of 4.3 out of 5 and the score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is very high, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Winery is included in the category of Winery.
Grounds were beautiful, winery was nice! The house was amazing! We reserved a private tasting room in the main house, it was perfect! Decorated and felt fancy!! Really great experience. Make sure to have a reservation.
We had a mix-up with our reservations & what we were looking for a tasting experience, but thank you to the front desk (check-in area & Jose helped). Our experience pleasant, thank you to Jose, he informative, gave us some good historical background about Beringer, and provided excellent customer service. He is definitely a 5 star employee. What had bothered me with my visit, were the uncomfortable stares and the smirks from 2 employees, Juliet and Sarah. I thrive on customer service and the vibe I receive especially when we are paying customers. Again Jose was great and you will not be disappointed with his hospitality, but Beringer's staff (Juliet & Sarah) made my friends and I uncomfortable. I would give my experience a 5 star, but because Juliet & Sarah made us feel uncomfortable, I give it a 2.
Stopped in to tour. Found no tours available, but Lisa@beringer and Juliet@beringer took the time to offer us a glass of wine and a walk around the Vineyard. Their knowledge and willingness to help and explain the history made the stop well worth while.. we will set up a tour on a later date, but these ladies get 5 ????from us for over and above. Keep it up ladies!!!!!
Beringer is a beautiful vinyard, one of the best in Napa valley, and probably the most magical wine tasting in the whole area. Due to covid restriction, all activities are theough website booking and payments so you can't just show up. Their chardonnay and Pinot Gris are fabulous. Their wine is rich, light, gentle and vibrant. We got out with a 12 pack suite case which is made to keep the bottles safe during flights...! It was THAT good. The staff is very professional and full of passion and knowldge. If you are in Napa, that is the vineyard to visit (as most of the Napa valley wines are.... not the best we had).
Late review but have to post it. Terrible wine tasting experience! We did the Rhine house salon tasting in late August and it was the worst wine tasting experience we had. First off, the lady who checked us in was rude and mean. Then, the server just poured us the wine and left without telling us what we were tasting. Absolutely no service at all. The wines served also did not taste good. Particularly, We had a white wine that had a mango tastingnote and it was disgusting. The reds served were not good. The only good thing? People who worked at the parking lot were nice. Save your money and go elsewhere.
The grounds are absolutely stunning. They do have a check in system if you want to take a tour. Limited parking is available. You can also just come by and visit the shop. They do have a tasting area within the shop. You can find a wide variety on wines and prices are clearly displayed. They also take reservations.
So much history at this Vineyard. Did the Rhine House Saloon Tasting. What a beautiful building with some amazing reserve wines. Must reserve ahead of time as they have a very rigid seating system in place. Self guided tour of the facility is a must. Their caves are unlike any others I have seen in Napa as they are truly dug into the side of the mountain.
Enjoyed a tasting in the Rhine House Salon - what a beautiful house. I could have spent the afternoon exploring this house. Jose was a great host and we opted for a nice bottle to take home and enjoy over the holidays with family. It was a rainy Monday afternoon so we had the grounds to ourselves. We explored the caves and really enjoyed taking our time and appreciated the holiday decorations throughout- very cool.
Honestly, wine is ok. I will not recommend my friend here. The server only gave us very little wine not sure why. Definitely much less than 10* other wineries I’ve been to in Napa. It’s a heavy rain and we got here with little taste of little wine. Not satisfied at all. If you want to have fun and enjoy your tasting. Don’t come. Also the lady at reception of the door isn’t too happy and she kept on counter saying things that don’t make sense. My friend said we are here for the wine tour (maybe not accurate) and she spent two minutes scolding me that this isn’t a tour but a tasting event. Please, don’t come.
The place is interesting as it is basically the first winery in the area. The tasting tour could improve, because although the story is nice, the wine we had was not fresh and tasted weird. The guide was ok. Their souvenir shop is convenient and had many nice stuff. Loved the old house.
The place is amazing, Beautiful and clean Excellent service, they are really nice. I just love it
Stopped in for a glass of white wine on a hot day. If you’re a Napa resident, check online for Napa Neighbor deals here. The property is lovely and everyone was very nice!
Meh. Beautiful grounds and good wine but not the best in Napa in my opinion.
Historical landmark. One of the oldest wineries in California. Don’t book the cellar tour though because you can get just as much out of it from touring on your own
All of the reserve wine was amazing. I loved the atmosphere and the grounds.
Great place to go wine tasting. Our server was the best, plus the grounds are beautiful.
This a great Winery stop for someone's first time in Napa Valley. You can choose to do a self-guided tour and scan QR codes along the way to learn more about their history and get glass of wine with it.
What a beautiful place, and an amazing story of how this place got started. I envoy every step and every corner of this winery. The wine didn’t impress me, and the wine was the reason why I came here. The wine was too dry for me and my group. I will be back soon hoping to keep trying something different.
Interesting experience.
I don't know what's wrong with their billing department, I called at least 6 times to check on my refund and nothing has been done after a month! This will definitely make me don't want to visit here again!
What a beautiful property, with a lovely selection of wines. I highly recommend stopping by even if just to walk the grounds.
Wine was good, but the tasting experience felt like 100% marketing Beringer makes some good wine and that was the good part of the tasting. But outside of that, the whole experience felt like a marketing pitch to join their wine club and worse yet how investors could make money with wine (again pointing to becoming a member). So, go here if you want to taste a couple of good wines but stay away if you are not keen on a marketing pitch experience.
Indoor tasting. Wines are good with great explanation and service. Only negative was no plates for cheese platter we ordered
Impressive and beautiful house. Tour was about 30 min, great tour with tour guide Jesus into the wine caves and tried four wines. Beringer one of the oldest wineries and it was a great first stop in Napa valley. Easy free parking. Free glass of wine for military. Went to Market for lunch (recommended!), 10 min away in town. Wanted to write this review to highlight Melissa, she was not our tour guide (she does Chinese bilingual tour) but she went out of her way to show us the way to the Beringer main house and explained the history. We really enjoyed meeting her and felt very welcome. Thank you Melissa!
Amazing wines and service. Super relaxing.
By far the best picnic place in Napa – they offer fresh sandwiches in the interior garden, together with a taste of their Cabernet. Not just our opinion, but also LA Times, who recently named it one of the Best 10 places to have a picnic in the West - No. 1 is Grand Canyon, and No. 3 is Maroon Bells. That is a select company. Absolutely recommended. From a historical part, In 1934, Beringer it was the first California winery to offer public tours and wine tasting following Prohibition.
We did a tasting on the veranda and Kerry was our host. She was wonderful and made the experience very special and memorable. The wine was great and we added a cheese plate which was a nice accompaniment. We will definitely be back - if you go ask for Kerry!
A winery with a touch of history that goes way back, the rhine house dating back 1884 (as what i saw from the description) the house is well preserved and the wines are class, tho we weren't able to do some wine tasting but just seeing the place is really stunning.
Overpriced wine and rude staff that knows nothing about wine. Just take a look at how they serve it and at what temperature they keep it: way too cold. The only reason someone would serve something too cold is to mask its true taste. The property is nice but that’s it. Expect it to be kinda crowded.
Go there once is enough.
My wife and I visited Napa Valley last month and made our way to Beringer and took the cave tour. Following that we did a tasting in the Rhine house and really enjoyed it. We even were able to try a 1989 Cabernet. Overall excellent service and wine so we joined the reserve club.
The $30 per person for a glass of disappointing wine and less then impressive self guided tour was the low point for an otherwise incredible Napa trip.
Cars are checked on the driveway. Moderate-sized grounds, some areas nice, but a lot of areas ‘off-limits’ and some sections looking a little ‘tired.’ Beautiful fountain and nice gift shop. $30 per glass for a ‘Self-Guided’ tour, increases for seated tastings. Staff polite, but seemed to be rushed (short-staffed?).
Very impressed with this place. Great wines, kind staff and not too crowded. Really enjoyed the serene tasting experience. One of the best vineyard in Napa and their on site wines are amazing. I don’t like white wine but I loved what they had and even got a bottle.
Excellent wine selection with a large garden to walk around in or lounge in the shade.
I absolutely love their Cabernet Sauvignon. We booked wine and cheese pairing tour. Our host was Michael who is extremely knowledgeable and an investor in wines. Their self guided tours are not that fun, but good gardens to hang around with friends.
Beautiful garden and house can make wine even more tasty!! The view was incredibly stunning! Even though Most wineries in Napa are 21+ property, Beringer gave us some option(stroll around) of enjoying wine travel! Actually, I made a reservation for veranda tasting. Anyway thanks Beringer team!
So we did a girls trip to Napa and this was one of our stops and I personally was not very impressed. We did a “self guided tour with a map.”However we did come on a rainy day so that might have changed the atmosphere. We wanted to play batch ball in Jacob’s garden, as advertised, however no one was able to assists us. Then we walked over to the tasting room and then we were greeted by a hostess by the name of Savannah’s who was extremely rude. She made us feel like we did not belong in the space and refused to help us. I wanted to purchase a book in the store but after that experience I was completely turned off.
Good time tasting and learning about Napa wine history with our guide Dave. They have some wonderful cabs and the property was stunning.
