Great location for a quick stop on a trip to Niagara Falls. Plenty of parking as well as bike racks for cycling tours around Niagara on the Lake. Lunch menu with indoor seating or outdoor tables. Staff was soooo rude so we walked out. We live finger lakes region of NY so ive been to a few wineries in my time. Went to this winery to kill time before our tour at Jackson-Triggs winery. Walked in, asked a staff member at the tasting bar what we need to do to to start a tasting (they have reds, whites, ices all segregated at different bars) and she was so rude and rolled her eyes. We left and went to Jackson-triggs which was amazing. There wine prices are wayyyyy better too!

After over a decade of visits my last visit today left a sour taste. A quality winery with a great history suddenly seemed overly commercial, memorably mute and impersonal. Gone are the days when an impromptu conversion was had at the wine tasting bar about the wine making process. No, now I'm reminded that every 1oz tasting is $3. Over the years I've been a loyal customer, yet as I walked across the floor with 4 bottles in hand to the ice wine tasting bar I was politely asked if I wanted to be "checked out" at the cash register. Interesting. I think I'll have to find a new favourite winery.

We went to Inniskillin on a weekday afternoon (late April). Our tour guide was extremely friendly, and very knowledgable. She explained the history of inniskillin, and the process of growing and harvesting grapes. We got to see the vines, processing equipment, and cellar where the wine is stored. Because the winter was so cold the vines had no leaves yet, but they were still quite interesting to see. In the cellar we got to see the wine library where aged wine is stored, and a short video showing how ice wine is made. We were then giving a white, red, and ice wine to try, with instruction on the proper way to taste the wine. All were delicious. The only thing I wish I had was a piece of cheese to go with it.

The place is very nice. The wine may have been good but the experience wasn't. We attempted to taste some wines but nobody made any attempt to service us. When we finally got one of the bartenders to answer a question the attitude wasn't the greatest. Id normally chalk this up to being a bad day on their part but they were super nice to other guests so we decided to leave after training just one wine that left a bad taste in our mouth

Their sparkling ice wine was delicious - it better be at $80 a 375mL bottle, but the serving size of the sampling was hardly a taste, just a tiny sip. Their pairing of chicken and waffle for the ice wine festival was very disappointing. Cold chicken, cold waffle, and honestly one bite of each. They need to step up their game to compare to some of the other delicious and well prepared food pairings in the festival.

+ good ice wines, - too commercial, - inattentive staff, partly unfriendly Though Inniskillin is one of the most popular wineries in Niagara Wine Country I personally found them too commercial and impersonal. We went there twice since it was jam-packed during our first visit. Instead of taking care of new arrivals lining-up in the second row at the tasting counters the staff just ignored us. Because our innkeepers had some free tasting coupons for us we returned the other day to be handled the same though the place was empty. We really had to call the staff’s attention to try the wines. Later, there was at least one woman who explained the wines to us and encouraged us to try specific vintages. Anyways, the whites were ok, the reds could do better, but the ice wine was delicious. If you are hungry Inniskillin has a small restaurant on the property where you can order daily changing dishes. Average price for a 375ml ice wine: CAN $75-90. Table wines: CAN $12-25. Tasting fee tables wines: CAN $5 for three samples Tasting fee ice wines: from CAN $5 per sample

Fantastic ice wine tour and worth it. Went during winter time so it was a bit windy and cold. About 20 mins outside and around 45 mins in total. Got to taste 3 different ice wines with Vidal being one of my favourite. Definitely recommend for others to go.

The ice wine tour with Don was amazing, informative and held our interest all the way. Tasting was generous and yummy and probably a factor in us buying up lots. What was so good ( apart from the Welsh accent which grew stronger as we went along) was the lack of ‘the booring bits’ about soil, etc. showing how the process occurs with the machines to hand. We purchased the Ridel glasses which make such a difference to the taste, but were disappointed that they are no longer engraved. The small $50 variety gift packs of 4 ice wines are great presents . The main wine tasting at $3 for a sip, was very much a sip and not enough to make sure if i liked it or not, so didn’t buy any ‘normal wine’ that had to come from other wineries. So this review is very much about the ice wine tour rather than the winery experience which as you can tell would not have achieved the same ratings.

This winery puts on some great events as part of the Niagara-On-The-Lake festivals (icewine festival, wine & chocolate, etc.). They have a great outdoor facility with open fires in the wintertime, along with some great food to pair with. You simply have to try the Cab Franc Icewine - the best I've tasted!

This is my COVID review for it. They were so well set up with all the precautions and they didn’t let it take away from the experience. A lot of the other wineries seemed so disorganized. Inniskilin had a booth just off the parking lot to check in and lots of tables you could wait at until it was your turn to go in. They called us in within 10 minutes (we had no reservation) and gave the sheet to the bar and they put the glasses together on a plank we could walk around anywhere in the winery outside and sample. We found a table at the back facing the fields and it was really nice and felt safe. Purchasing wine was also very safe and minimal contact. They had the best process out of all the wineries we visited during our staff.

Oh. My. Goodness. Iniskillin is the best in the area! The wine (both icewine and regular wine) are delicious, the service is great, and the tour is interesting. We’ve stopped every time we’ve been up in Canada for the past 5 years. Lynn at the tasting bar is friendly and great to chat with while you’re tasting your wine. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at Inniskillin today. Our host Mamiko was amazingly nice and very kind. She took the time to explain all the wines in detail, answered our questions very well and made reasonable recommendations for what we're looking for. Her recommendation of Togarashi fries was very good, sweet and hint of spicy, very original. I've come here before just for tasting but after today's dine in experience I will definitely make it my regular schedule every time I come to Niagara.

Located near the stunningly beautiful Niagara River, Inniskillin is the first winery in the region to receive a winery license since Prohibition. The winery is famous for its ice wines. Inside the winery, there are two wine bars- one for table wines and one for ice wines. Various wine flights can be purchased for either $10 or $15 depending on the number of wines.

This winery was alright. It was nice but nothing too exceptional. We did a tasting but was not blown away by anything. They did have the botrytis affected wine but the one at stratus was what my friends had liked. The tastings were on the higher price side compared to the other wineries, one sample of ice wine on the tasting charged separately for $4 whereas in other wineries they let you taste any kind of 3/4 samples from $7-$10. They do have a little food stand outside in case you need to grab a quick bite.

Summary: Everything you’d expect from a place this well known: excellent wines, beautiful grounds, great education, but can get crowded with tour buses. Wine: all of the wines we tried were really good, especially the ice wine! Places like this don’t get famous for no reason. Ambiance/View: Beautiful grounds and buildings! The grounds themselves were well kept and even offered access to some vines to walk through. There were plenty of places to sit all around and it was a nice place to just wander through if you wanted. That being said, it seems like a very popular and well known tour bus stop, so there were a TON of people around, even on a Thursday. There was lots of outdoor areas and the weather was beautiful when we went, so we never felt too crowded, but it took forever to do anything: bathroom, tasting, food, etc. If it was raining, this place would probably be pretty miserable with the crowds. Other cons are the highway right out front takes away from the peace a bit, as do the “bangers” sounding like gunshots (to keep the birds away). Education: So, I’ll preface that we took the public classic tour, so I can only speak to the education we received on this tour. Doug, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions before I even asked them! We learned all about the winery, the wines they’ve made, the awards they’ve won, and the winemaking process (especially ice wine). If you don’t know much about ice wine and want to, we HIGHLY recommend this tour. Other: We don’t have kids, but there were a TON of families there with us, even on the tour, so seemed like a really family-friendly option.

Inniskillin is worth a visit. The facility is nice and clean, with a decent gift shop. Canada's young wine industry is still busy trying to become established. I'm not a wine guru, but I find the wine to be somewhat sharp (or not smooth), and with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. I also think they are trying to offer too many varieties, instead of creating just a few really great products. Canadian wines are quite expensive, which is likely a by-product of Canada's high taxes.

Great wine quality, chill casual atmosphere, Covid measures are in place. I find this winery less commercial vs others, it's more product and brand-oriented . They have different wine tasting options to cater to your taste. $15/person, we chose classic tasting: 2 house wines + 1 ice-wine. Loved it! If you have a chance to come before 4 pm on a weekday, do so, as kitchen can be closed by the time you finish tasting (approx 30 min).

Great atmosphere! Great live music! Was not busy on a Friday afternoon at all which was a big plus to enjoy the wine tasting. The food is ok. The poutine arrived without any cheese curds. The server made the cook redo it and it came with the cheese curds after. (but a real poutine should have cheese curds in the first place). The burger tasted good but was quiet small. In overall the atmosphere and experience was good. Would recommend.

It was quite busy when we got there but there was plenty of staff to accommodate. The wine tasting prices were reasonable, though the ice wine tasting was expensive. If you are planning to buy, expect to spend quite a lot of money. Even the gift shop type stuff was expensive. The place is clean and taken care of and everyone is very friendly! If you're only visiting one winery in the area, let this one be it.

My partner and I went to the tasting boutique through a coupon with the bed and breakfast we stayed in, but it was well worth what we would have paid for it and then some. We were pleasantly surprised by very attentive staff (Julie and Derek, thanks so much!) and had awesome time learning about the wines, the area, and having wonderful conversation. The wines were fantastic (I really enjoyed the Baco Noir as well as the Vidal Icewine Gold). I highly recommend going in the off season to avoid the packed crowds and getting an individualized experience!

Their outdoor food setup is quite good, with a wide variety of options and genuine smoked food. Not too surprisingly, the prices were a bit high but not unreasonably so. One item that was subpar was the fries - felt like I got the tailings of a bunch of baby potatoes. Kind of a shame when fries defeat you as a cook...

We unfortunately arrived late for our reserved tour time, but they let us join part way through anyway. Our tour guide was great, super knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. By far our favorite tour guide of all the wineries we toured on our trip. The tour itself was also great, and gave us lots of knowledge about Icewine. I enjoyed it as our first tour stop. All the other staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We added to our tasting experience with more Icewine and got a new staff member for that. She gave us a free tasting coupon for their sister winery, gave great recommendations on wine to taste based on our personal preferences, and gave us recommendations on other wineries to try. Loved that they had a variety pack of 50mL that is reasonable in price that I’ll make into great gifts for relatives. Best part was the variety of Icewines, including sparkling versions that I enjoyed way more than expected!

We joined the classic public tour here just a week ago and it was a very pleasant experience. The tour is $10 pp and last about half an hour. The tour guide walked us through the winery history, wine making process, the cellar and we get to taste 4 wines (2 glasses of table wine and 2 glasses of ice wine) at the end of the tour. The wine was not outstanding to be honest but for $10 I think it was okay. There's a outdoor patio servingfood and drinks just outside of the winery and we got the PEI oysters. It's only $15 for half dozen and they were very fresh! That made a perfect ending of the winery tour.

I would like to give a shout out to Inniskillin winery for being so patient and kind to us. We arrived at 5:05 PM and were told by one staff member that we could still go and shop at the Boutique until 5:30 PM. When we entered, it was clear that the lady at the front had already shut the till down and was doing her cash out but she did not ask us to leave. We picked out some items to purchase and the manager re opened the till for us to purchase our items even though it inconvenienced them. She informed us that the staff member that had told us that closing time was 5:30 PM was misinformed but that we were more than welcome here. She handled us beautifully! This winery is obviously all class and I look forward to being able to come back again during regular operation hours. The ice wine is incredible by the way! Thank you!

We where at the winery yesterday. We had made an appointment the day before. When we arrived yesterday there where many people there. We had no idea where to go to find out which line to stand in. Once we got to the front of the line the lady told us we where late and could not go to the tasting appointment we had. She asked if we wanted to wait for the next one which was like 40 min later. I understand we may have been a bit late but we would of not been late if someone was able to direct us correctly. We had gone into the shop to find out which line it was and someone had to direct us. As we where waiting in the shop there we people shopping with no masks on. That is in doors and that is not acceptable. Also I found the line people did not respect social distancing. I understand we are outside but I also found that people did not wear masks and we need to respect people well being. Honestly I wish you would of had someone standing out there directing people where to go. Bad service.

I am from Edmonton and have enjoyed Inniskillin Ice Wine for a while. I had it at my wedding 9 years ago so when J finally made it to the Niagara region, I had to do a tour (this was also my first wine tour). I misunderstood and thought tours were every half hour but were every hour on the half hour. We arrived at 10:40 and were able to join the 10:30 tour. The tour was $20/person. The tour was nice though the guide had only been with the vineyard for three months --- didn't have all the answers to some of the questions asked but he admitted when he didn't know something (rather than try to make something up). The tour finished with a wine tasting. It was nice to try other Inniskillin wines rather than the ice wine (though the ice wine is my favorite). The best part was that your tour ticket got you $20 off any purchases!

Their sparkling ice wine was delicious - it better be at $80 a 375mL bottle, but the serving size of the sampling was hardly a taste, just a tiny sip. Their pairing of chicken and waffle for the ice wine festival was very disappointing. Cold chicken, cold waffle, and honestly one bite of each. They need to step up their game to compare to some of the other delicious and well prepared food pairings in the festival.

Went to Inniskillin for a specific white wine we had at a local restaurant, Unfortunately they no longer make this wine. The gentleman in the tasting room was sorry that we came all that way and was not be able to supply us with that particular wine. He introduced us to a couple of Chardonnay's and a Pinot Noir which were excellent, as was his knowledge of them. We ended up purchasing several bottles. Will definitely go back for more of their wines.

This winery is absolutely stunning to view. The over-all estate is gorgeous and the outdoor patio is well-designed and efficient for service. The wines themselves however did not leave as memorable of a mark after visiting four other wineries that day. Attended the restaurant with visitors from Germany a few days ago. The initial reception by the hostess very professional and welcoming. The restaurant staff did very well. Our waiter was most knowledgeable and eager to help with our choices. We chose the four course tasting menu. The presentation was excellent. Food was tasty except perhaps the soup which was a tad bland. The place is rather pricey, hence we expected excellent service and food. Except for these factors, we enjoyed the experience and would return.

If you like ice wines this is the place you have to visit. They have a large variety of grapes (Vidal, Cabernet franc, Riesling), plus oak versions and even the sparkling. My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. Recommending a specific location for a wine trip in the Okanagan is like dialing the chevrons on the Stargate. Yeah…wow, I totally went there. I had started thinking about how you need a specific location and then a point of origin, and the connection to that old movie just dribbled to the surface. Regardless, before a suggestion, you need a point of origin. From the North, start with Kelowna. From the South, it’s Osoyoos. If only rationed a few days, it comes down to those two, with Naramata the real reward for those dedicating more than a weekend to such a vacation. Thus, the BC branch of Jackson Triggs and Inniskillin (copy-pasted from here on because I know I’m going to get the spelling wrong at some point) is bizarre in that it sits away from basically everywhere. It’s the only winery between Oliver and Okanagan Falls, or at least just before you reach the latter. So, unless you’re on an extended trip, it’s unlikely you’ll take the trip. For us, it was an easy stop between larger concentrations of wineries. We left Osoyoos earlier so reached the complex just before its opening. I can see this place being busy during the afternoon, but at this morning, we had the place to ourselves. Unlike many other wineries in the region, Jackson Triggs / Inniskillin feels corporate, not unlike the Sandhill Winery near the dead center of Kelowna. As such, Jackson Triggs / Inniskillin a tad bit more sterile compared to others. With Naramata, you are most likely talking to owners or winemakers. Just around the corner sits the colossal steel drums that don’t look dissimilar to the hyperboloid cooling towers of a nuclear power plant (and yes, I had to look that up). Inside, it is mostly dark wood and contrasting ceramic countertops. There is a larger tasting lounge when it gets busy, but for us, it was the standard bar. There was a good selection of wine, though this was a location for the girlfriend, not me. I don’t mind the Inniskillin Icewines, but I have always personally placed the Jackson Triggs at just above mediocre. But if traveling between Okanagan Falls and Oliver, this is a great stopover between more distant locations.

We took the general tour and it was worth every penny: we found out about growing grapes and especially those for icewine, saw the equipment and the cellar and had a tasting of 4 different wines. The $20pp we spent on the tour we got back as a discount off the icewine we bought in the shop. Tours in English almost hourly, with 15:30 the latest tour. Highly recommend!

Came here during the Canada Day long weekend. The wine tour has been sold out when we arrived, so I guess it should be good. We had lunch at this place. The smoked beef and pork burgers are delicious. Ordered two glasses of wine, turned out good too. The price is reasonable compared with Downtown Toronto. Food choice is quite limited. If they can have a bigger menu, I would definitely come back again.

Went here with my aunt and cousin in the fall of 2019 and we absolutely loved everything about our visit. The area is beautiful and very welcoming. Our wine samples were great, and were paired with cheese and crackers which was a nice touch. The man who was serving us and educating us on the wines was absolutely fantastic. Inniskillin does make my favourite wine which is the Late Autumn Riesling, and I was not disappointed in the wines we tried. Highly recommend visiting, even if you aren't a wine drinker, the area is just very nice to see.

The quality really bad, the sandwiches were very mediocre, the only one that save the day was the pull pork sandwich. The house salad is some mix green from a bag and putting in box... With some dressing ( i am sure not home made) Easy to have a better menu without so much effort.

Jackson-Triggs and Inniskillin are linked with the Great Escapes membership, which I promptly purchased and do not regret. On Sunday February 26th 2020, I was looking for something fun to take my visiting friend to do. We went to Jackson-Triggs winery after visiting a couple of others. We were blown away by the quality of the wine. The servers at the tasting bar are knowledgeable and friendly, not pretentious at all. Because I live nearby, and because of the wonderful experience we had with our server, Michelle Sirio, I decided to join. I’ve been living in the area 14 years and never joined. I do not regret it at all. It’s wonderful! I joined the Great Escapes & promptly went to Inniskillin, where we enjoyed another tasting, with Bradley hosting us - his recommendations are impeccable. Today, February 1 2020, my husband & mother-in-law and I did the same rounds, only with food pairing. At Inniskillin, Derek served us, and was charming & entertaining, but also very knowledgeable. I’d recommend the P3, the Baco Noir and the Gold Vidal Ice wine. Then off to Jackson-Triggs to be spoiled again by Savanna, the Hospitality Sales Manager, and Jessica, the chef (the BEST chicken molé we’ve had!!). The Bourbon Barrel Merlot at Jackson-Triggs is well worth the price, but their Merlot is unbeatable, never mind how amazing the Cab Franc Ice Wine is! I can’t wait for the open air concert season to begin!

I went early in the day on a bike tour with beyond the grape! It’s a lovely setting with a lot of history (well, a lot for the area) we were met by PA our guide who was brilliant and the main reason I and the group enjoyed the day! We got a brief overview on the interesting history of the founders and the wines. Particularly good place for anyone interested in the ice wine! We saw everything from the vines, the unloading dock, the barrel rooms and the wine aging rooms! Finished with a great tasting and a few purchasers! I will be taking friends and family back here. Went a couple of weekends ago. The wine tasted great, but the tasting itself was not good at all. We waited for 30 minutes before even getting any wine, and the bartender we had did not talk to us about any of the wine, or do much of anything. Not a great experience. OMG first time I went here. They told everyone how to hold a glass and wine. Very detailed. Second time we went in March 2017. We went the right time and only hubby and I had the tour. When my tour guide saw my cup we had fun with ice wine. She loves it as much as I. I got to try their amazing sparkling ice wine and their Chardonnay. My husband loved the Chardonnay ice wine. I had fun buying it. Drinking it, I will age it for a year ????

Perhaps last year wasn't as good. Wine quality went down as of our 2019 visit. Specifically Ice Wine. Not the same. During tasting portions were also about 1/3 of what they used to be, which is actually expensive for what they charge for that 1 sip of ice wine. We couldn't even share it!

Wines were good but not unique. We toured several in the area and were looking for the wine that made each place special, did not find that here. Atmosphere is great. Very busy place but service was good. Frogpond is much smaller but had 2 very unique wines we loved and ended up purchasing there.

I visited this winery with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived on time only to be told they "couldn't find" our reservation. After this initial delay we were finally seated. Our server was not helpful and offered very little advice on the menu or the different wines. While waiting for our wine to arrive, another group was seated at the table next to ours (a bachelorette party). They were greeted by the server immediately and served their wine within 5 minutes, despite the fact we were still waiting. Apparently they were on a special tour. We waited very long for our wine to arrive. Some of us had ordered cheese...the server offered extra crackers to one of us, seeing this, my other friend asked for more crackers too but was refused because he had "finished his cheese." Really! The wine was mediocre at best. The server wasted no time asking us if we were ready for the bill after we finished our wine, prompting one of my friends to say "the bill comes faster than the wine!" Not the kind of service we were hoping for. The worst part? While we were paying, the "special" bachelorette group was visited by the manager to ask how their experience was. Apparently, you only deserve good service at this winery if you book with a specific tour group. Will not be visiting this winery again.

Wonderful winery tour. Our guide (Bradley) was very knowledgeable and friendly, he gave us some very interesting background on the history of the founders and the wine making process. The wines were all delicious and we received $20 off at the end of the tour. Would go again and would recommend to others.

Nice property. Wine sampling was 1-2 oz max. Lunch was a bust. Everything was dry as a bone. Go for the cheese pizza and a couple of glasses of wine and you'll be good.
