I'll not be back as the food was dry and the server was unbelievably rude. Our drinks were not as ordered and I was told she would bring what we needed if she 'wasn't too busy'. She never returned. That was this morning with very few tables occupied. Lots of staff but even the table was dirty. Many wineries in the area with friendly staff and excellent service and tasty food. Walk on by cause these people are inconvienced with serving the public. Sorry Mr. Frind but no love lost here.

Ok service

Everyone has their own taste in wine, my is bold reds etc. So I was not a fan of their white wines, but I did like all of the reds that were available to taste, the grapes coming from the Oliver area. The Cafe was open with a limited menu due to not being able to get staff, the pizza was incredibly good!

Hello , We had a lovely dome dining experience at FRIND on wed march 17... The initial welcome greeting by the gentleman host with mulled wine was a lovely surprise..and delicious! The course presentations /menu and wine pairings were exceptional, as was the service.. I have only one criticism/suggestion ,to this otherwise hi end fine dining experience... and it is regarding the re-use of brotzeit plate and cutlery as a salad plate and cutlery . .We had to "scrape" off our brotzeit plates with our forks and knives , in order to have a quasi clean plate on which to dish our salad. .this was not a very appetizing nor elegant experience.. .I must add that our server did ask us whether we preferred new salad plates, and then they would bring some out ... ;however, that question ought never to have been asked.. it was embarrassing, and we sheepishly said no, its ok, so they wouldnt have to go back inside to get us new plates.

Anyone who seeks this place out - knows they are going to taste amazing wines. The tasting and beautiful setting do not disappoint. We loved it so much that we came back two days in row and signed up for their Wine Club. Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable and described wines in terms the novice could easily understand. I highly recommend Fridn Winery!

Stephen Viala

Wonderful staff and decor. Thoroughly enjoyed the story before behind the winery.

Went here for my birthday for a tasting! Karen did our tasting and she was amazing! made my day! She knew so much about the wine and was very sweet! I will forsake be coming back!

Rachel Beskau

Frind Winery is beautiful and the wine is top notch! Beautiful views and patio. Patrick was excellent. Not only was he knowledgeable about wines, he also had a wonderful sense of humour and gave us excellent recommendations for other places to check out while we were in Kelowna. If you’re going to Frind, request Patrick! :)

Sam Seto

Only winery in North America on a beach AND amazing wines with super knowledgeable and friendly staff? What a combination!

Sam Dixon

I spoke with Jessie, Gracie and Kat had a great overall experience. Great customer service food was great never been to a winery like this. Highly recommend!

Jeannette Affleck

Had a wonderful wine tasting outside overlooking the lake. Each wine was presented with perfect pauses between tastings. Allowing our group to socialize and discuss each wine sampling. Everyone loved the beautiful setting as the sun was going down. A wonderful place to take visitors.

Trevor Pollon

Amazing setting, wine and food! The only winery on Okanagan Lake that offers boat access! Highly recommended!!! ????

Sara Faucompre

A beautiful tasting experience! A casual date night with an incredible view - good vibes and easy going staff - thank you!

Bill Stinson

The domes are quite amazing. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The food is very good (and plentiful!). Without insulation in the plastic walls of the dome, one's back tends to get a little chilly; the fuzzy blankets that are provided are a welcome touch. Was wondering whether in-floor heating might solve that issue. Otherwise, we had a terrific evening; the light snow was made to order; the perfect birthday gift! We plan to check out High Tea soon.

Not sure yet... we live locally and are members of other wineries in the region. First impressions when visited this past weekend - young wines with high tasting fee ($10/person vs $5/person elsewhere). Location sounds like will be so much more of a destination in the future. Parting thoughts - appears more work may be required to create a solid brand. Given just newly opened, it would have been nice to see on par introductory pricing for a less than optimal wine tasting experience.

One of my favorite wineries in the Okanagan. I love the large outdoor space right on the beach. Melissa was our server on the patio and she was very friendly and efficient. She suggested the pitcher of Sangrias to start and they were delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Alex Labreque

Went to the restaurant for a birthday lunch. Service was very meh. Server forgot the specials, didn't ask us for a drink order. Lunch was OK! Brie burger bun was ice cold, fries were great.

My boyfriend and I live locally and we visit Frind winery very often. We both love the Premier Riesling and Viognier, they're so delicious. We have had the pleasure of meeting Karen a few times for our tastings, she is so welcoming, friendly and fun, she always makes our experience so much better. The location of the winery itself is so beautiful and the wine is so tasty! By far some of my favourite wine. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven! We will definitely be back! Cheers!

As this is a new winery in the area we wanted to try this place out for the “sip with your sweetheart” wine tour event. The event promotes “free” tastings however Frind thought it was a good idea to charge $10 for 5 tasting (from their garage tasting room as their tasting room is not ready yet). No other winery in West Kelowna charged $10 for tasting! It is not like they make enough off the wine. If you make good wine you don’t need to charge for tasting as people will buy your wine. Sure eventually they might have a good location but that is not now. There are other wineries that treat you better and have better wines. For me I feel Frind winery want you as the customer to pay for their location without offering anything to you. I was not impressed.

The place is great with a wonderful waterfront park where kids can run and play. Very nice starters (cheese and focaccia bread). The rest of food was not super great, as well as my pinot noir.

Matty

Beautiful winery and restaurant, the grounds are impeccably maintained and the view of the lake can’t be beat. The wine is quite good, especially the sparkling white wine. The restaurant is also very good and the wide selection of pizzas are cooked in a traditional oven which elevates the pizza to god-like levels of deliciousness. Very good experience, would definitely recommend a visit to Frind as you navigate West Kelowna.

Dinner in the domes was truly a magical experience! They were cozy and warm with 2 interior heaters. The restaurant even accommodated my husbands vegetarian requests. The service, the food, and everything was just top-notch. It was a phenomenal experience and we look forward to coming back again

We visited Frind Estate winery on a weekday afternoon for some tastings and had a lovely time. Their Viognier was especially memorable. Annie’s Bistro looks excellent and we walked down to sit by the lake to enjoy the view. We met some other newcomers to Kelowna there . We are all planning to return in warmer weather for a summer evening meal. Meeting new friends at Frind , even in Covid times,...delightful!

Tiffany Woodfield

We had so much fun ordering food and sitting on the beach at the picnic tables. Would highly recommend. PS pizza was fabulous!

Miriam Sklar

We had incredible service as well as our entire experience was amazing. Throw in the stunning view and we were thrilled! We will return

I just went for a winetasting with my friend. The staff were all so friendly and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend visiting this winery.

The family went and had such a wonderful experience. We loved all the wines we tried and Gabriella took great care of us for our tasting. She was knowledgeable funny and easy to get along with. The location can’t be beat, excited to see how they progress.

Jan Timmers (VE7JBT)

Dropped in just before noon, both my wife and I ordered take-out; grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. Wowee! The homemade bread had a great chewy crust, and a tasty blend of 3 cheeses, I think. The aroma from Annie's Cafe immediately washed over us when we entered the main door to the winery, and promised a lot of delicious choices for lunch. I had the bowl of chili, full of large chunks of beef. Also tried the lentil and pork soup. Both were excellent. Finished off with a dessert - a peach gallette, I think, with flakey pastry and lots of sweet cream cheese filling. Oh yeah, as we were walking out, we also bought 6 bottles of wine. There's a large tasting room, but decided to just buy the bottles and try them all at home. Beautiful setting on Okanagan Lake, and currently there are individual clear bubble igloos (heated in winter!) for small group dining. Reservations are required for that. Lots of parking, easy access for almost any size of vehicle that you're traveling in. Easy to walk around as this winery is not on a hill. Must see location

Drove 1.5 hours for Vernon for a tasting because they said they were open for tastings until 7pm. Arrived at 6:45 pm and was turned away.

Just took home 2 cases of the reds... Was a beer drinker until the bubble experience in January Amazing wine staff is 2nd to none

Kat was very attentive and pleasant- a great server! Great patio space. The crowd seemed happy and vibrant- lots of beautiful summer dresses.

Came once for a bubbles tasting and had great service from Valario. He was super knowledgeable and friendly and we booked a second visit for brunch in the domes with a larger group based on that experience. The second visit was equally as good. Brunch was family style which we loved and it all tasted delicious. There was something for everyone and it was such a great experience. The domes were heated and staff made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable. While getting ready to leave we were standing by the tasting area and Ryan suggested we taste wine while we wait. He was wonderful and so knowelgable and friendly. We bought several more bottles thanks to that tasting. Can’t wait to come back here. They have done a great job training staff and the winery itself it quite beautiful.

Chef Menajem Peretz

What a place? It is above beautiful, the menu very well executed, testy and well display, the wine we try where excelente, what a place for a much or dinner ... must visit

Aaron Cull

Did tastings at 15 wineries. Best Riesling of all the wineries in Kelowna and surrounding areas.

Jordan Hermann

Beautiful location on the beach. Great area for kids to play on the beach / grass area with tables & umbrellas to enjoy food and beverages.

Robert Reid

Our experience in the Dome was mixed. It is a unique dining experience. The ambiance was great. We were greeted with a small serving of mulled wine, seated and then we didn't see our server for 1/2 hour. The first course, bread, cheese, cold cuts and nuts was lacking in cheese. The winter salad was okay. The main course, short ribs was excellent! The wine pairings consisted of 3 small samples. We expected a more generous pour from a winery--a taste is not enough, given the price. Dessert was good.

Mara Veldman

What a beautiful evening on the patio with incredible live music by Hailey Lewis ! If she comes back so will we. What a great place to hang out with the best lake side scenery .

Claire Wang

Beautiful ground with access to sandy beach. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ania Kruger

Beautiful Winery right on the beach! Stunning location. Has a cafe and patio for dining on site. We booked our tasting in advance which is recommended for a weekend. Would love to come back and enjoy lunch on the patio!

Great wines, and an even better server (Gabriella). We were lost souls in unknown territory but Gabriella was our shining light.

Michael Fleischmann

Beautiful grounds and the staff were very welcoming and engaging. Did a tasting and was impressed with what I tried. Especially the Pinot Noir Cuvée. Bought some delicious cookies. You can bring your kids and enjoy the beach area. Will have stone fired pizza soon.

Wendy Delaney

We truly enjoyed the wine tasting and our guide was very informative as well as personality plus. The venue is so beautiful and the meal was delicious! Our waitress was ver y pleasant! The Evening was just amazing! Thank you!

Yesterday for my sister’s birthday we booked a tasting and the a table for dinner outside at Annie’s. The tasting was a disappointment. Clearly the server had no idea about wine and offered no information to us about their wines. They had to be prompted several times to even engage with our group. The wines served to us were from 2020 which is way too young to be enjoyed now. They may have improved with age but I didn’t get the feeling there was an intent to put their best foot forward and as result this was a mediocre tasting experience. The meal was not much better. Most of us ordered pizza. I had my leftover boxed up and the server knocked it on the ground. One piece was only partially on the ground and she asked me if I wanted that one. I declined. I was fully charged for the meal even though I had to leave half behind. The other issue is the restaurant had no outside lights so after the sunset left we were left sitting in the dark. It was hard to navigate out of the place. This was 800 at night. A bit early to end the evening and instead of letting us know they closed when the sunsets they just left us sitting there in the dark. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the setting is nice. I’d say skip the tasting and bland food and order a coffee in the morning to enjoy the view. I heard the baked goods are decent.

Jim Coughlin

Absolutely amazing food. The ambience was outstanding. All the servers were great. It was a bit cold but it didn't take away from the experience. Dress warmly!!

Alexander Lee

Great experience at Frind Estate Winery. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff at the wine tasting bar. The wine was excellent, particularly the reisling. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Kelowna. The only winery that is also boat accessible.

Susan Dollevoet

Great communication regarding our booking for a wine tasting. Our hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Lovely place to take your out of town guests.

Kim Gelinas

First time at Frind Estate Winery. Very impressed. Deb did our tasting. She was very informative. Lovely area. Great wines. Became members on the spot.

Our group was really looking forward to our experience at the dome. We weren’t overly impressed with the overall experience. The food was alright, pastries were delicious, but not sure if the food plus 1 mimosa per person was really worth $60 each. It was scrambled eggs, hash browns, fruit, and bacon and was cold by the time it reached our table. We wanted to order a bottle of wine for the table but we were having coffee first. Once we were served our food, no servers came back to the table to offer more water, coffee or take our wine order, so we didn’t get anymore than the cup of coffee until our table was being cleared. The winery is beautiful, atmosphere was great and the dome was nice and warm, but we found for the cost, everything else was mediocre at best.

Matt Rizzo

Very good wine, and Grant was awesome!

Beautiful views, but...stood in line for a tasting for 50 minutes. After about 20 min there was only 4 people left at one tasting table but the other three had no one at them. When I asked when we could get in we were very rudely told we just had to wait they were waiting for reservations to show up. We stood there for another 20 minutes and still no one was at tasting tables so we just left. Very disappointed in the service!!!

Armaan Chima

Had a wonderful evening in the dome for Valentine's day. The food and service were outstanding. Can't wait to do it again!

Layla Gilleland

Beautiful place. The sparkling wine is super yummy.

We were greeted at the door by Lisa who introduced us to Chela who explained the various wines we were tasting and a bit of history behind the facility. The owner, Markus Frind, sold his company Plenty of Fish for a paltry $575 million US. At the time one of the largest deals in BC history. Taking a portion of his money, he purchased land and started a winery. Based on the wine we tasted and the accompanying property development, he is definitely committed to making more BC history by making great wine. I toured one of the rooms that was the office of the former Premier. It was nice to see the recognition Frind winery made to the Premier. Overall, a wonderful visit to this winery and we look forward to visiting again the future. The staff were exceptional.

Shelly Liang

We had a great time visiting, our group is not very knowledgeable on wines and it was our first time going on a wine tour. Karen was very kind and gave us recommendations based off of how we liked the wine tastings.

Kevin D

Though we didn't have a good time at Annie's Beach Cafe, we had an excellent time at our wine tasting. Karen was lovely, she made our entire party feel very special and so friendly and hospitable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were all having a great time, and brought us our favourite wines when she learned things weren't going so great. The wine was excellent.

Colleen Fitzpatrick

We did our wine tasting with Gabriella. She was very knowledgeable and professional. A good experience all around. We will be back!

Treena Harley

The highlight of my Christmas was the High Tea at Frind Winery. Picture amazing savoury and sweet treats, bubbly, the most beautiful view and the best service. We will be back and I highly recommend this experience!

Shawna Lees

Dining in the Dome at Frind winery was an amazing experience. Sitting in a warm dome in winter, eating a gourmet dinner, sipping perfectly paired wine was absolutely fabulous! Highly recommend this dinning experience.

Gabrielle Davis

Tasting room, beach, cafe.. and above all the wine is incredible. I live in Alberta and I get it shipped now. Highly recommend! Visited again July 2021. Fabulous dinner and tasting. Thank you David & Victoria!!

Didn't taste the wine, but the lights are the nicest in the okanagan. Definately coming back. I

Most unhygienic, disgusting pizza place you will go to saw them drop my pizza on the ground sneeze on it, then had there employees literally drilling the wood over the food area, if u want a meal from a construction site this is the place! NO PPE(no hair masks, no masks, no gloves, the chefs Makin pizza)

Gary Stuart

Accommodating and friendly. This is a new winery with great wine and food and a nice outdoor area on the water.

This review is based purely on customer service and front of the house operations. We put our name down for a simple tasting at 3:54 today and were told by the middle aged dark hair woman at the host stand that it will be a 10 min wait. 30 min later I went to check back and she said we are next in line. As multiple parties left and most tasting counters were empty, I approached again thinking after 40 min we are surely going to try the wines. The woman in charge of the seating system begrudgingly told me there is one more party that takes priority and we are next. To this moment we still haven’t been texted. Poor management of the online booking system? Probably. But certainly lack of warm customer service as soon as you step in. Thankfully there are a few other wineries to visit around.

Armaan Chima

Grant is amazing. Best wine barista I’ve ever met!

Wine, food, and location was wonderful. Not to expensive and great view.

We stopped in today for our 2nd tasting this week. Truthfully the place is amazing as it's right on the beach, lots of indoor and outdoor space for tasting and the wine is top notch. Samantha was our host the first time, this time when we arrived she was just leaving, as her shift ended. Well she decided to stay and help us out again today. She is a true ambassador for not only The Frind, but the wine industry, as she very talkative, knowledgeable about the wine and makes you feel very welcomed during the visit. You can not go wrong at The Frind and if you happen to have Samantha as your host, you have hot the preverbeal lottery!!! BTW there are two "Sams" Samantha is known as the "Awe Sam" Awesome ????????????

Cassara Nash

I would rate this winery one of my tops! Definitely worth seeing! It’s located on its own private beach and the view is amazing! I came here on a wine tour and it was my favourite spot of the day! Also the only location I purchased wine from! The staff are super knowledgeable, and were able to share cool information about the vineyard and why it’s so unique! Sadly I did my try any food, but I will next time Loved this place!

David Evans

The wine tasting was great as we were given a history lesson and learned lots. The food at Annie's was a let down as for some reason their chef is unable to put mushrooms on just half of a pizza and not willing to provide an explanation which left our server stumped as well. Given the simplicity of the request, I will not eat there again.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this amazing winery while passing through Kelowna on a business trip and not only was the wine lovely, but the experience truly stuck out to me due to one staff member in particular... Grant i think his name was. not only did he radiate confidence and make me feel welcome, but he recommended the Cab Franc to fit the flavours I had been telling him I enjoy.(truly an outstanding wine) he seemed very knowledgable and seems to have a great understanding of elevating the guest experience!! this has to be hands down the best service I have received in a restaurant! Thank you so much grant you've got a returning costumer in me!

We took some friends to Frind for a Father's Day treat. We arrived at 12.15pm. We've been several times and love to go to the picnic area because they allow dogs there. But unfortunately this time our experience was awful. We ordered two salads and a bottle of rose. Our friends ordered straight afterwards but everything they ordered had sold out. They had basically run out of food by 12.30pm. Our salad arrived but it had no dressing on it. We went back and asked some dressing and were given two tiny tubs containing one third full of dressing. I asked for some more and was told I'd have to pay extra for that. So we ended up eating a very poor salad while our friends watched. We asked if they could order from the grill but we're told that was only for people on the patio. We asked to speak to the manager but he never turned up. We felt really bad for our friends. We'd recommended the winery but ended up regretting it.

Lutz Zeitler

Had a wonderful tasting with Sheryl, who was very knowledgeable and entertaining, serving fantastic variety and quality of wines, lovely atmosphere…love this place!

Jeffrey Dela Cruz

Me and my wife had a great experience this weekend for Mother’s Day. Great place to eat and enjoy some wine. The view is no to shabby ????. Frind is our go to place for Friday morning coffee.

Tyler Hilland

Great location, the wine was mediocre. The tasting cost us $10 each and we were not told about this before hand. The pour was done with a stopper and was not enough to get a fair taste of the wine. We were not offered a selection, the samples were just poured for us. Definitely well below the level of service offered by the other nearby wineries.

They’re listed as dog friendly in the wine trails brochure, but they really aren’t. We wanted to do a tasting, but you can’t have a dog where the tastings are done, and they don’t do tastings where a dog can go. They need to update themselves to not dog friendly.

Jessica Shaw

Spent our anniversary dinner at Annie's in the domes. It was such an amazing experience, would highly recommend. Staff was very professional and friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend

Grants been amazing, genuine and true about the tasting and super nice. HIGHLY recommend coming here and getting grant as a “winapour!!!”

With no hosts at the front on a busy Sunday afternoon, we went in for some lunch. We couldn't figure out how the seating worked and thought we needed to order at Annie's Café. They were out of all hot sandwiches except for the grilled cheese, so we overpaid for two grilled cheeses. We then learned that we couldn't sit on the patio as that was a separate dining service (quite confusing). We ended up eating our two grilled cheeses on the beach in 37 degree weather with no shade because the umbrella-d picnic tables were full - a lot of tables had just one person sitting under it enjoying the shade. No one seems to monitor that area to ensure that dining people have a place to sit.... To my disappointment, the cheese in my "fancy" $12 grilled cheese wasn't even melted! Maybe the patio service is better, but we had much higher hopes for this place after our friends' recommendation.

Frind Estate Winery We went for NYE, spent >3hrs in the domes! Had a great time. The food was stellar, and the entire experience was very affordable. We enjoyed it so much that we went back 2 days later and became wine club members. The wine is incredible, staff and service wonderful to interact with. Even with the complications of COVID, the entire experience was delightful

Emily Ralph

Sheryl was phenomenal! She was so knowledgeable regarding the wine and went to the extra effort to make all of us, especially the bride, feel welcomed and loved! It was such a pleasure to receive a tasting from her! Amazing customer service! Will be coming back for Sheryl!

Brooke Bachmeier

My daughter and I popped in today to try out the newly opened cafe inside the winery. We were blown away! The smell of the fresh baked goodies hits you right at the door :) Cara and Mackenzie helped us and were absolutely lovely - they chatted with my daughter and gave us very personable service. We will be coming back many many more times. The baking was delicious and the cappuccino was perfect! Thank you!

Kelli Meadows

The staff was so fun! Made the experience so amazing! Also, the manager likes cats... so thats always great. Please get indoor cats. The wine was very great also!!

Jessica McDonald

We had a fun experience dining in the domes!!!! It was a beautifully welcoming atmosphere with fantastic food and very attentive servers. All was excellent and we will book again!

Mark Stevens

The winery and setting are beautiful. Right on the beach! We also enjoyed the wines and in particular our favourites were the viognier, riesling and the brut and we came home with a mixed case of those three. We had one meal at Annie's Beach, and it was disappointing on a couple of fronts. Firstly, the service was slow and even slower when it came time to pay the bill. Waited at least 10 minutes for the bill and then another 10-15 to pay, and finally I flagged down a different server and she took care of us on the spot. The other thing was my wife's caprese salad. It was not as expected. It came with a huge ball of mozarella that was mozza on the outside, but milky creamy on the inside. Just weird. Having said that we were disappointed at another winery's bistro and decided we would hit regular restaurants from now on. Overall, the winery is a good winery and we will definitely visit again for the wines!

T M.

Cait was an awesome server. She made the experience perfect.

Gabriela was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the wine was delicious.

(Translated) Beautiful place, very nice, its excellent wines, I recommend the premier rieslyng (Original) Hermoso lugar, muy agradable, sus vinos excelentes, les recomiendo el premier rieslyng

One other amazing winery in Kelowna! Great people, great wines and an amazing location right on the lake! No other wineries like this one! If you want to be on the water, this is the one you want to visit! Own private beach and area to enjoy their wines!!

Curious soul

Not a wine person, been there to buy few bottles for our friends and also get the type that we boil with cinamon to use to prevent certain viral infections. The store is fancy, you get to taste before you buy. The lady who helped us was very polite and excited to go the extra mile as we didn't know what type of wine does what we were looking for. They have a good selection, probably is hard to come out empty-handed Have no idea what is in these bottles, to me they appear inexpensive for a wine that got the silver medal in France

Kristiann McCool

Beautiful view and the wine and food are always great. However the staff are seeming extremely overworked and exhausted lately. It seems like they're trying their best but they might need some additional help at both the restaurant and tasting rooms to keep up the high quality service and fun professional atmosphere I'm come to know Frind for.

Sukhi johal

Grant was awesome, best customer service. Definitely recommend!!!

We have had the pleasure of two wine tastings and one dome dinner at Find Winery. Ah of our experiences have been amazing. To notch from start to finish. They have gone over and above to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. The wine is fantastic and the food is as good as it gets.

O'Neil

Had a excellent experience here. Did a wine tasting and really enjoyed the knowledgeable staff who serves us. They have a great selection of wines. Especially the whites. The Reds were also good and would pair very well with many tapas or meat dishes. Also grabbed a bottle of white and sat on the beach and enjoyed the sun in a sweet little secluded spot that are built into the ground. They have the dome sitting area and a wonderful coffee and food bar. Worth a stop if you are looking for a winery that goes beyond what you would expect.

Michele

The Wine tasting experience was lack luster! She did not appear to have much knowledge of the wine, didn't have time to spend answering questions and couldn't seem to read her customers needs. Very dissapointing - we won't be visiting Frind again. This was the only winery we walked away from with no wine purchases.

Roxanne O'Keefe

Great experience! Definitely will come back and dine in the bubble again. Beautiful winery !

Mark Watt

Great setting...easy to dock...menu not as depicted on website...pizza only...updating your web site is important. We would have stayed longer and spent more enjoying our evening!

Brian Gray

Beautiful winery in a fantastic location right on Okanagan Lake. Time well spent.

Saw the prior bad reviews about bad service etc. Went in with an open mind and we were nothing but welcomed warmly today !! The front desk personnel was warm and welcoming and our wine pourer was equally friendly! Have nothing but good things to say about this place. The little igloos were so charming to look at, can't imagine having a lunch/dinner in one, so magical ! A great new place to check out in the area :)

Very unwelcoming. We just tried to visit the winery as a group of 11. We did not have a reservation because the website says that walk-ins are welcome and that reservations are not necessary. They met us at the door with an unwelcoming air and refused to accommodate our group despite offering to split our group up to meet the 6-person maximum for a group. I can’t speak to the experience if you are in a smaller group, but I would not recommend visiting this place if you are looking for a welcoming attitude and pleasant customer service. Even trying to purchase two bottles was a difficult experience met with a negative attitude.

Kent Simpson

Terrific dining experience. Great service-Ellie and her team were amazing. Thanks Frind!

Nick Fleming

This winery opened up a few minutes from where we live so we walked over. The location is beautiful although the tasting room is in a temporary location while the main building is under construction. The temporary tasting room is quite small and can host a few small groups but is charming. The wines are quite young with focuses on Riesling and Chardonnay, while they were pretty light and refreshing they taste quite young. I was a little surprised a new winery not fully open trying to find its footing among locals and the other wineries in the area would have a $10 tasting fee ($11.50 with tax which was not stated anywhere) and bottles of wine start from $19, I believe, which makes it one of the most expensive on the Boucherie drive. The potential for the winery is high and it will be interesting to check out in the future.

This is our 2nd time coming in to Frind on a Sunday afternoon. We love the atmosphere, the gorgeous view and the Viognire. Our first visit, my wife and I had a tasting by our selves, this time we brought friends who were equally impressed with the staff and winery. As I sat here thinking about what to say in this review I was taken back by the negativity by so many others! How can people complain about the winery not accommodating your large group?! Are you new to Covid? I’m actually embarrassed for people that are writing this negative reviews but when we arrived today to a sea of “red plates” I can’t say I’m surprised. Thank you to the lovely lady who works the front with the red-bob haircut who has greeted us on both our visits with a welcoming smile and energy. She helped us understand the wine club and our friends joined! Thank you to Julie our wine taster for making it a great tasting and to the young girls who served us our lunch on the patio. This is our new favourite place and we can’t wait to return!

Beautiful location and property, and the treats and coffee from Annie's Beach Cafe were amazing.

We were 5 ladies today Aug. 28, for lunch. We waited over 45 minutes to be sat a a table that was empty the whole time. When asked about this we were told they were waiting for a large group. You legally can only seat 5, so why not us. The staff are rude, the supervisor rude and looked down on patrons. ( wrong career). 4 sets of patrons, left while waiting and empty tables not being filled. Won’t be back.

Rhonda Thorp

Had a wonderful evening in the dome for Valentine's day. The food and service were outstanding. Can't wait to do it again!

Patti Van

Had another lovely lunch there today. This is my third time in three weeks. From the gals at the front door, who took down our name and phone number, to the young lady that took us to our table and to our beautiful server all were lovely! Great food, wine, view and company!

I want to leave a review based on the service, as we unfortunately or fortunately ? Did not get to taste the wine. We were a group of 4, 2 of us from Vancouver and 2 friends who live here locally. We understand the current COVID protocols, which include reservation system. We were coming from Lake County, and ran into a bit of traffic. We were communicating with the winery via text message, which they advised us they would wait for 10 mins, past our reservation time. We arrived 3 mins late ( after waiting in line to get in ), which we were dealing with one of ladies in the front. We understand we were late, and also get if the winery could not accommodate us, however the lady in the front was utterly rude about the situation and even referenced that they can’t accommodate us since we were 15 mins late vs.10 mins. I understand , we are all trying to do our part and accommodate everyone during this pandemic. However, this lady was particularly rude , when we were just starting off our day. We had night and day experience at the other wineries , The Hatch, Mt Boucherie ... which I highly recommend vs. This winery.

Loved the ambiance and excellent service and ample food. Wine pairings were very good.

This winery is so beautiful! The reds taste a little young, but whites are easy drinkers. We keep coming back for the premier Riesling and the view outside! Today I brought my mother, we had a bite to eat outside this afternoon as it was too busy for a tasting reservation. While we were waiting to buy a bottle at the end of our visit, we witnessed a disgusting display of entitlement by a CUSTOMER! From what we gathered, a group came too late for their tasting and then threw hissy fits when they were told they missed their slot. One lady even screamed about knowing the owner and getting one of the staff fired in a “don’t you know who I am” display. Even said THEY were local business owners & would destroy the winery’s reputation. The 2 staff handled them with absolute class, even offered to serve them outside but were threatened again! My mother was put off by the whole thing and still rattled. but I’m impressed with the ladies at Frind! You handled this craziness so well, it was worthy of a review. It’s sad to see that frind and so many other businesses in the okanagan have to display signs asking people to be nice to their staff and patient as they figure out Covid, but this is clearly why!! ????

Taryn Shalapata

Excellent service, delicious food and great wine! Would absolutely dine again.

First the good. Beautiful view, very friendly service at the tasting bar and at table. Amazing truffle fries, a very nice Unoaked Chardonnay. The bad…The Margarita pizza..don’t mess with a classic..call it something else. The ugly and the reason for such a low review. We have tried for 4 days to contact this business to no avail. They have built a Berlin wall between themselves and their Customers. It is impossible reach anyone by phone for any reason nor is there any response to an email other than an automated reply. Need a reservation? Go online. Questions or problems as a Member? Go online. Have a problem? Leave a message. Without going into detail we needed their attention or assistance with a small problem of our own making and have had zero response for four days to numerous messages. So we are only two Customers , obviously of little consequence, who are no longer interested interested in dining at this establishment, purchasing Frind products or most certainly joining a wine club where we have no expectation of even minimal assistance or service in a business relationship. I am really sorry to have to leave such a negative review but that was entirely up to Frind…quite surprising really to be ignored so blatantly.

silvan brust

Pretty property but busy turn and burn pace which the staff can’t keep up with and it shows in their lack of smile. Bossy grumpy lady at the front too. We won’t be back.

Maxfast Dallamore

Came in casually for pizza and a snack. Our host was not accomodating with a walk-in; we were put on a waitlist despite multiple empty tables. After an hour we came back and reminded them we were still waiting, we were then ushered into a corner table by a server, the host had disappeared. Our service was equally as poor. We waited 20 minutes for initial server contact. Futher 15 minutes for water and ordering. One glass of wine took 15 minutes and appitizer and a single pizza to share showed up simultaneously some 30 minutes later. No water refills, no quality check. We witnessed multiple other tables received similar experiences or worse. One 4 top sat, waited, and left 20+ minutes later. The host went from table to table asking if the food in hand was each ones ( lack of organization) Our initial hope was take out over waitlist. But during our waiting we noticed multiple takeout order transactions at the picnic tables beach side. Not impressed. Some manager or floor control could remedy all of these missteps and some experienced staff to help newer employees get their footing. The FOH staff looked very green. The redeeming note for our evening was an excellent tasting experience with David while we waited for our table. My date enjoyed the Pinot noir cuvee enough to order a glass with dinner.

A young winery with young wines... it’s too hard to tell right now how this will go as it’s still going under renovations. The BEST feature will be when boaters can dock and step into the tasting room and/or restaurant (currently unopened). Frind sold Plenty of Fish and now has this project going (as well as others I’m sure). The location is excellent along the other majors like Mission Hill and Quail’s Gate - and it feels like it will match the lush design style. Will be back in the summertime to see what they can pull off then!

Colleen Easton

Great winery, good food, beautiful location and very friendly staff.

Mark Ziebarth

Thanks to the entire Frind Estate Winery team for a wonderful dinner experience last night. From the welcome greeting (by name!) with mulled wine... to the perfect setting under the stars and under the dome... to first-class food, wine pairings and service. This professor gives you an "A+!"

Welcome to the Okanagan Frind Estate Vineyard.

Sam was a great host and made us feel very welcome ! He knew lots about the wine and the area for recommendations (including his favourite brewery for a change of scenery from wine tasting!!) Frind is beautiful !!!

Beautiful place good wine all ????

Kathryn Kirkpatrick

What a difference a year can make! We came for a tasting when they first opened last year and were definitely under whelmed with the wine. We decided to come by again a few weeks ago and received a very warm welcome from Heather at reception. She informed us that without a reservation, it was over an hour wait but recommended some wine and suggested that we grab a glass and go enjoy it outside by the lake. We enjoyed our experience so much that we recommended Frind as a stop for our friends wine tasting tour and brought our parents for a tasting (which I booked online a head of time) and lunch. Karen provided a really nice tasting experience and the wait staff in the restaurant were very accommodating. We thought the wine was pretty good (we bought two bottles) and the food in the restaurant was okay. I think next visit I will grab a bottle of wine and some snacks from the bakery and sit out on the lawn at a picnic table. We look forward to coming back to enjoy some wine and the beautiful grounds again sometime soon.

Claire Fleury

Amazing wine. even MORE amazing service! shout out to Sam from the UK for making our experience one of the most memorable ones we'll be talking about for years to come. anyone going tasting - ask for him! thanks Sam :)

Rick Teubner

The wine tasting was great as we were given a history lesson and learned lots. The food at Annie's was a let down as for some reason their chef is unable to put mushrooms on just half of a pizza and not willing to provide an explanation which left our server stumped as well. Given the simplicity of the request, I will not eat there again.

Kris Vallée

Fantastic 10/10. Ask to be served by Sheryl, she is just the sweetest waitress ever. The wine, the landscape, the estate. Everything is perfect to spend the best afternoon of your trip. I say again, Sheryl is the loveliest waitress you will ever cross path with. She is simply the best. You will love you time there drinking wine.

Mandy H

Beautiful setting, great food, great wine, great service - recommend!

OJ H

Beautiful lakefront vineyard. Wine is good but setting is the star - it’s really well done with beautiful patio, great landscaping. Food was also very good - we ordered pizzas and they were delicious. Patio service was pretty slow and we were there during a quieter week day (wine took over ten minutes to arrive). Biggest gripe is that Google maps pin is in wrong location for their cafe so both my friend and I had to do annoying detours to access property through side gate.

Sherry Schimpf

We had such a lovely experience in the Domes on the weekend. The staff were wonderful, food was amazing and the wine was great! A nigh to remember!

Stephanie Crawford

Last week we visited Frind Winery and experienced a pleasant wine tasting. We then enjoyed a lovely lunch with excellent service. All went south when we later tried to contact the establishment due to a mishap of our own doing. We phoned several departments for 2 days and left many messages. It has now been a full week with no response. Fortunately this was not an emergency but help was needed. There is no excuse for no response in the way of a phone call, email or text. Busy is not a valid excuse. There are many wineries to enjoy in the Okanagan so I would give this one a miss. In my opinion Frind needs to improve on their Customer Service or I should say lack of.

Sandi Clarke

We shared a wonderful evening friends last night at Frind. We started with a tasting then off to the patio for dinner. The ladies shared a chicken bacon pizza. The men both had the ribs. All entries we delisous. We shared a bottle of big white & a glass of big red. The entertainment was awesome!! We will back with more friends to enjoy your beautiful winery.

Bill and Maureen Bailey

We love Frind Estate Winery, we buy our wine and visit Annie's often. We only wish we could experience the Dome for a special dinner. Being very careful in these trying times our bubble is my husband and myself. It is a shame we cannot visit because the magic number is four persons. UPDAE .. thank you for letting us reserve a bubble for two. What an amazing experience. The food, and atmosphere was over the top.

Benny Spears

We were in a couple Sundays ago and decided today to bring some friends in for a tasting and lunch. We were greeted with a friendly welcome by the host Chalene. Julie did an amazing job with our tasting then we finished off with lunch. We were very happy with our whole experience. Highly recommend this winery to everyone. Friendly staff and amazing wine and food.

Alpha Romeo

Excellent service. Good wine Great view (free to access their beach). Beautiful dining experience during the cold weather in their igloo globes.

Jennifer Belcher

We came to Frind for my mom’s birthday. I always love the employees, they are all passionate, knowledgeable and FRIDNLY (if you will). Karen took awesome care of us today during our tasting, and we had a lovely lunch on the beach following. I will be back and so will my parents! Thank you so much :)

lyndsay anderson

Don’t bother stopping at this winery. We went there to do a tasting and they denied us a tasting. We asked if splitting up into smaller groups would be more accommodating, they first said yes. And then turned around and said no. They told most of our group that they weren’t even doing tastings, which is contradictory to their website saying they were welcoming. What a disappointment!!!! Do not bother/waste your time!!

Jeff Lafond

The service was excellent but the food was mediocre and pizza was burnt. Wine was fabulous as was the view! Menu could use some work.

Danielle Carpenter

Delicious wine and unbeatable lakefront location. Loved the Viognier and Rieslings! Will definitely be back again and again.

Jamie O

Deb served us in the tasting room, and she was wonderful. She was so kind and enjoyable to interact with, and very knowledgeable about the wines! She helped me try my new favourite wines. 10/10 recommend!

Boreal Wanderers

Enjoyed a late lunch on the roomy patio. Very kind, "frindly" warm hospitality and professionalism. Extremely Covid considerate staff. Great menu, tasty generous proportions, excellent wine. Loved watching the occasional visiting duck or goose receive an immediate though subtle, gently herded escort offsite by a staff member, the moment they arrive to waddle near the patio edge to attempt staring you down for some crumbs....lol. Looking forward to woodfired pizza under the new timberframe patio wing under construction ..at our next visit.

Jonathan Springer

Beautiful early September sunset at Frind. Nice place for a quiet coffee or glass of wine.

Ian Mac

Amazing place. And wine.

L T

First time at Frind winery today we didn’t have a reservation but that didn’t stop us from getting in right away. We were pleasantly surprised when we were seated in the premier lounge. Our host Shelene was super fun and informative. Thank you! We LOVED the Big White

Carlo Thirtytwo

Gorgeous winery with a laid-back feel. It's one of the only wineries with beach access (both for boat launching/ docking, as well as picnicking), which makes this location especially unique. I didn't get the "pretentiousness" that you sometimes get at other wineries. Wine tasting staff was really down to earth, which I appreciated. They were exceptionally knowledgeable and didn't try to press too hard for you to purchase something. We ate at the restaurant; ordered premier pizza and albacore tuna salad. Food was good, however, service was lacking. There was a bit of inattentiveness with our server. She disappeared about halfway through the meal, and the new one brought us the wrong bill. These things happen, it was just that communication is needed. Otherwise, I had a great time at Frinds. I'd make a point to go back.

Lesia Payne

Had a great tasting and I can’t wait to dine here some day soon! Bought many bottles. If you like nice clean wine, not sweet, this is the place to go!

Alex Kim

I visited Frind winery on a whim after hearing great things about the place. I was welcomed with the best, most personalized service that one could ask for from Shanti. She catered the tasting to our interests and continued to pique them as the tasting went. Beautiful sights and atmosphere is a given in Kelowna wineries, but the service went above and beyond expectations.

Kimberly Kaplan

Susan Rudy

The place is beautiful and the view is spectacular! I ordered the beef and cheddar on focaccia bread but could barely taste any beef. When I looked inside, there was 1 thin slice of beef on it. Not worth the price.☹️

Miloslav Nejedly

Wonderful place. Wonderful people. Wonderful wine

Manjit Sangha

This was my first stop on my birthday and it did not disappoint! Shanti was awesome! I will definitely be returning next year!

Mariya V

Very pleasant experience during the wine tasting and lunch on the beach. Sam took great care of us, and even placed a call to a LMD restaurant to determine which wine we had previously tried and enjoyed (Big Red). On a casual note, the chicken sandwich @ Annie’s was incredible. We returned to have it the next day.

Cam Pinkney

Always friendly and accommodating. Being a wine club member has so many benefits and the 2019 Premiere line up is delicious. Thanks for always being great hosts

Sofia Treminio

Beautiful winery and great wines! The staff is also super friendly and the pastries at Annie’s Cafe are the best in Kelowna!

Larry Shaffer

Wonderful wine tasting experience and delicious food . Fantastic way to spend our last night in Kelowna.

Kelly Dean-Feldman

Cutest winery in town! Beautiful views, so beautiful my boyfriend proposed to me here! The staff was amazing, so nice!

Charil Dawn

Wow, love this place! The tasting room was beyond wonderful and all of the staff was friendly, cheery and lovely. Highly recommend for all types of wine lovers. Me and my company felt relax and safe while at the winery, well done. One lovely lady in particular was so lovely and knew her wine! I want to say her name was shelena, or something similar to that. She was a shorter, brown hair lady. Will definitely return again and recommend to others in the okangan area. - Charli ????

Patti Tattersall

The patio tastings were very nice, Samantha was a very bubbly hostess for us. Wood fire pizzas for lunch were delicious and you can’t beat the setting in the lake. It was nice to be tourists in our own back yard for a girl’s afternoon.

Brianne Ocampo

The dome experience was really fun loved the experience. The only suggestion I’d make is having the vegetarian main course more thought out.

Caleb F

Frind is very welcoming, Barb is wonderful in the tasting room! Annie’s food is great, the location is amazing lots of seating! And of course the wine is delicious.

Karen Hinz

Nikhil Raniga

Incredible wine. Rieslings are to die for! Amazing waterfront view. Cheers!

Trevor Quinn

We love coming to Annie's. However we would love for some soft back ground music on the days when there is no entertainer playing.

Lily Simpson

We are wine club members and brought friends for a tasting when we picked up our wines. The person doing our tasting (and I am so sorry I forgot her name) was very accommodating. I like to try and compare wines. She gave me as many clean glasses as I needed to do this and was happy to pour any of the wines I wanted to try. It was fun and I am glad we are members.

Kevin Wobschall

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and great wine!

Chris Richards

Frind is a can’t miss when you’re in West Kelowna! Good food at Annie’s, great location (you can even park your boat at their dock) and very good wine. Only recommendation I have is to carefully check your bill! At Annie’s at lunch, I was charged for 2 bottles of wine, when we only enjoyed one. THEN when buying a case of wine after our tasting, I was again “inadvertently” charged for an extra bottle of wine. Not cool Frind!

Sam Palmer

The women wearing the green shirt working on August 22 at 5pm was so rude. ( At the front desk at the tasting room )Just because she didn’t think we were good enough she told us the wait time was an hour and then the next two people got a wait time of 15 minutes..... probably because I had a service dog I felt very discriminated. Just BecUse someone needs a service dog doesn’t mean you need to be rude and make us feel very unwelcome. Will not be coming back and will make sure everyone knows what kind of place this is

Elisa Millns

Such an amazing place to sit and chill. We had the brut and it was a hit

Etoh Timpany

Had a poor experience with an individual employee while trying to enjoy a nice morning! I wouldn’t recommend Frind estate, unless you’re looking for unprofessional psychopath cook to cause a scene!

hurricanexxx96

Fiance and her co workers went Friday June 25th for her birthday dinner. They phoned in to make reservations but we're told those are only for wine clubs and they should just show up. So they did and was told restaurant was full. They were offered to sit at the beach patio picnic area, so they did, when asked for water they were told no u have to go to the side window and order bottled water there. Then the chef came out and told the servers that patio people won't be able to give there orders for 30 mins....and that inside people get priority.... they all ended up leaving and going to a better managed restaurant. Won't go back won't recommend.

Jasper Graveline

Barb Cunningham

What a beautiful winery! Today some friends and I had lunch on the patio and everything about it was amazing. The food and wine was delicious and we had a wonderful waitress named Melissa S. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and just made it a great experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Makala Chapman

A very large winery with lots of selections. They offer a little something for every taste bud. Their ice wine is quite delicious! The bottles of wine range from the $24 mark and up which is pretty standard for this region. This is not a bad thing, as the quality is there. The view is also wonderful as it sits on a little beach where you're welcome to dip your toes into the water or slap on your bathing suit and go for a swim. There is a restaurant there and they do wood oven pizza! A nice place to visit for sure. Would even argue it's family friendly since you can spend some time down at the waterfront.

Dawn Gartrell

Great wine, humour, and atmosphere!! Sam was awesome!

Devin Pezzin

We had a wonderful meal at Frind. The atmosphere is so laid back and welcoming. It was great for the kids and even the dog was able to be part of it all. It’s such a beautiful setting.

Carey Adams

My girlfriends and I had drinks and lunch on the patio last Friday. Despite the smoke in West Kelowna, the patio was really clear. Our server Melissa was amazing and took excellent care of us. The sangria was awesome! Very unique and tasty. Frind’s charcuterie board was delightful, as was all the food we shared. The winery is a great place to meet with friends. Beautiful atmosphere!

P C

Newer winery, located beachside. The wines are good, and will likely get better as the years go on. Our host, Gabriella, was fantastic, and really elevated the experience.

Jeff Scott

Great food, great atmosphere, exceptional attention to detail. The domes are unique and beautiful.

Kennedy Louis

Our experience dining in the domes at frind was amazing! The food, wine and all of the staff were fabulous. We didn't want the night to end it was so great, we will definitely be back!

Juan O'Quinn

Wonderful experience the service was first rate friendly and very welcoming. I would definitely go back

Sheree Brown

We had an amazing evening dining in the bubble! What a cool experience and the staff were great! Very friendly and super helpful! Dustin was amazing working with me to get my reservation changed and getting us in last minute! We took our 10 month old and they were so happy to have us all! We absolutely loved it and hope to go back to dine again soon!

Makayla Skrlac

We walked in early for our reso in the Domes but just 10 minutes before the tasting room was closing. The staff graciously welcomed us and allowed us to do a tasting before our dinner - Shelene and Karen went above and beyond for us! Thank you!

Claire E

Karen Thomas

Great views, lovely coffee shop.

Katie Jenion

Not only does Frind Winery have an amazing location BUT the wine and food is fabulous.

Rhea Narula

The wine itself was great which is why I am giving it 2 stars. However, my friend and I waited 30 minutes at the restaurant and were not offered any services including water. It wasn't very busy either.

Pauline Wong

Jasmin Hoffman

Such a beautiful place! Me and my mother in law were there today and we're so excited. We got right in for a tasting. A gentleman handed us a wine list and said pick 4 never told us a price of the tasting, then said I'll give you a minute a few minutes later came and said what would you like first. He pours our wine and said I'll be back. Came back and said what's next? He poured our next choice and said enjoy I'll be back....not once did he say a thing about the wine. I go to wineries to learn about wines how they areade ,how long aged ect. After waiting for a few minutes we just left. We didn't enjoy the wine we had and were hoping to make it to the end of the tasting to find something we liked. It wasn't a great experience. We did proceed to walk the grounds and it was gorgeous and food looked amazing.

Heather Grahn

Amanda Jess

Amazing venue! Fabulous wine and outstanding service.

Mehrnaz Rahimi

Small beautiful winery by the water. It has picnic tables by the beach and also a dining patio.

Ashley Temple

Really cool concept, made for a nice night out. The food was good, the portion sizes were good. Had the braised short rib and it was amazing! Was expecting it to be more of a plated dinner than a family style meal. Would have liked staggered dinner times a bit because when we got there took at least a half an hour for anyone to come into our dome. Wine was paired well. Domes were nice and private couldn’t hear anything outside the dome. Would recommend.

Ron Sweet

Loved the amazingly beautiful property! Wines very good. Restaurant not so much. Overly casual menu for such a pristine and magnificent patio. Food choices limited to basically salads and sandwiches and what we ordered was disappointing.

Marissa Hoeppner

Valerie Davidson

Last week, we were booked for dinner in the Domes to celebrate our friends 60th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately Interior Health in their "wisdom" decided that the Domes didn't conform, so they shut them down. Dustin had the not so pleasant job of telling us we could not have dinner as planned, but offered us the same meal, complete with wine, for take out. We accepted and we had the most delicious dinner you could possibly ask for. Everything from the charcuterie to the decadent dessert was superb. It all came with directions for heating and serving, and the portions were very large. The lamb shank and the vegetables were amazing. Thank you Frinds for being so accomodating and making our celebration so enjoyable! We all said that we sure would have like to experience the Domes and hope to be able to do this one day.

Isabel Glover

Endeep Gill

Grant was absolutely amazing during our wine tasting! Wonderful personality and very knowledgeable! We would love to visit again!

Sunrise Point

Great service, great food, great view! We had an absolute perfect evening. Thank-you:)

Ann Clarke

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the patio of Annie's, at Frind Estate Winery. We had reservations and our table was a lovely one on the edge facing the beautiful lawn and waterfront. Our server was attentive and friendly, the meal excellent and Big Red wine perfect. Thank you!

Jim Wallace

Had an excellent fixed price meal, ending up with Prime Rib roast exquisitely prepared. Terrific wine, too.

sandra legate

Frind Estate Winery - Dining in the Domes On New Years Eve my spouse and two friends had an incredible experience in the new domes at the winery. The staff greeted us with mulled wine and took us to our private dome. The meal was fantastic and each of the courses was paired with a wonderful wine. It was a very relaxing 3 hours. Based on what was offered it was WELL worth the price. Thanks to the wonderful staff.

Jason Anderson

Terrible. We go there for tasting. The entire place isn't ready yet so they have a shack for tasting. $10 a tasting which you get back if you buy a bottle. The 2 of us say we will buy one bottle at the end and she says well if you buy 2 bottles I won't have to charge you $10!!! The place is deserted, no one there. Even Quails gate and mission Hill only make you buy one bottle. And the wine wasn't that good and overpriced. I won't go back.

Bert TerHorst

Not very organized. We bought a bottle of wine for on the patio. We asked the front desk about the restaurant she explained that we have to order food by the kitchen and take it to our table. We also need to buy two glasses to be able to drink on the patio with our pizza. It was only 4:30. After we bought the wine and want to order, the kitchen staff told us that they are not taking any more orders. The front desk should have told us that the kitchen was closing early on the long weekend. We packed up the bottle and had to go to another restaurant.

Monique Hallee

How has no one else ever thought of putting a winery on the water before?! This was amazing! I simply loved it! We were on a road trip with our kids (toddlers) and this is one winery they actually liked because they got to have fun food and drinks from the restaurant and go play on the beach while mom and dad finally got to enjoy some adult time. We will be back :)

Robbyn Abbott

We found Frind Winery to be beyond exceptional!! We loved the Wine Tasting experience from the greeting we received to the wine and property knowledge of the server. We spent at least 45 minutes tasting with both Karen’s who served us and were both wonderful. We ended up buying a case of wine and had a great dinner there as well. Dustin, who seated us at our beautiful table on the patio was very attentive! Pizza and Caesar salad were both delicious!

Rylan Fanning

Ryan Millar

Had the best time at tasting here! Gabriela (aka Mila Kunis) was our wine hostess. She was amazing! Great wine and beautiful view!

Lori Shenkarow

I came with my daughter for a wine tasting trip. We booked a tasting experience at Frind Winery. We were at an outdoor table overlooking the lake. It was beautiful. Our host was funny, helpful and knowledgeable. We let him choose our wines and he didn’t disappoint. I would definitely go back.

Dan Edmond

Absolutely stunning winery. We enjoyed our time here, but waited well over an hour for wine tasting after being told that it would be 20 minutes. It was certainly a busy day with multiple tour busses, and to be honest, I felt sorry for the staff who seemed exhausted and frazzled. The wine tasting itself was our most uninspired of the day. Our server did not offer any guidance on how the tasting worked (I.e. number of wines, pricing, etc.) and was more interested in cleaning the glasses than helping us with the wines.

Tim Carlson

owners dont care about any of the surrounding people, arrogant attitudes.

David Evans

We were greeted by a friendly masked greeter, given our welcoming drink and escorted to our bubble/dome. The dome was well lit and heaters were turned on. We were seated in one of the 4 seater domes that we had requested via email when we made our reservation. Each chair had a blanket hanging over the back of the chair for additional warmth as may be needed. The evenings menu complete with wine pairings was sitting on each of our plates. Once we were settled the waitress staff attended our dome and explained the serving process for the evening. Our meal had a German theme through the whole service. All food served was excellent but the main course being the Ribeye sauerbraten with all sides was simply wonderful!! The serving size throughout our service was very good. The wine servings were of a generous amount. The pace of the evening was comfortable and completed in three hours. We would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this event and will likely attend again. Thanks to all the Frind Dome staff and the chef team for a wonderful time and delicious meal!!

Super “unfrindly” here. We checked the website prior to visiting and it said “walk ins” welcome however when we arrived they were not at all accommodating for walk ins and were super rude about serving us in any way, but still expected us to buy bottles of wine - no thanks if I can’t taste it! Not at all impressed with the service and unfortunately wasn’t allowed to taste the wine so can’t even review that...

Beautiful location. Great fun boating up to the the dock, grabbing a latte and a toffee cookie.

We had a wine tasting there and then afterwards they told us they do not accept cash. we were wanting to purchase a couple bottles. the lady was really quite rude about it and the fact that we only had cash on us. luckily the restaurant sold us a bottle to sit outside and enjoy the sun and the view. not the best experience in the tasting room at all.

Alexandra was a great addition to the evening! food, view, and service was great!

Amazing setting! Good food, pleasant staff. We always bring out-of-town family and guests to Frind!

Exceptional service beautiful lunch

Not good. At this point Frind has by their own admission such severe staff issues that the cannot open their restaurant Monday and Tuesday. You may still buy items from the restaurant but the kitchen (they say) is closed this you will not be able to get cutlery, ice, glasses etc. You will be expected to eat your food with your hands. There are many restaurants and wineries in the Kelowna area cooing with their issues better than Frind which you may want to consider.

Lovely winery/patio on the waterfront. Pizza is delicious & decent happy hour, although they could do with a few more food items . Had live music 5-7pm which we really enjoyed. Did a wine tasting too and the wine is very affordable & the whites were very good. Will definitely go back next time we are in Kelowna!

Wine tasting with Grant, our wine server at the tasting bar, was great - provided insightful and thoughtful information on Frind's wines and grape growing regions. While we were happy with the food @ Annies Cafe, the service was poor and tables were not cleaned (despite being asked) - unfortunately this part did not meet the quality of the rest of our experience @ Frind.

Was a very unique experience, we enjoyed ourselves very much. All the food was good however our prime rib was quite overcooked.

Absolutely exceptional, would highly recommend for a visit. This was our favourite winery of our trip, the wines, service, food, and ambience were all exceptional. Staff were all friendly, kind, approachable, and knowledgeable.

First time there. Sam was amazing during our tasting and we got to meet here sister that works there too. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Then we had an amazing lunch!! Service was incredible. Will definitely be bringing and sending people here. And to find out it was Premier Bennett's old gouse was very cool.

Frustrating not being able to book lunch online. Very confusing system. Calling was not a good experience as the calls are only answered Monday thru Friday. We were happy to get a tasting booked. Lovely time once we were there.

Sophisticated, family friendly atmosphere. Paul and the team at Frind made our experience Dining in the Domes one to remember. We took our 3.5 year old and 10 month old with us and they made us feel like family. The chef even whipped up our 3.5 year old a special treat off menu which made the experience even better. Could not be more pleased with our decision to go for supper and cannot wait to go back. Thanks Paul!!

Very accommodating and welcoming. Karen and Grant were fantastic at the tasting room. It was nice to be at an upclass place without the snoot.

We had a delightful experience at Frind Estate Winery recently. The estate has beautiful views of the lake and the wine was delicious. All in all, a wonderful day!

I've been here twice and both experiences was awesome. Today our testing staff was Gabriela and she was so nice and kind. We were not very on winery and she just gave us nice demonstration for us. Thank you again.

Front "greeter" was very rude on two separate occasions. Extremely elderly woman who had the same brain power as prez Biden. Completely unaware of anything happening around her. Didn't have two brain cells to rub together.

Such a wonderful experience! So educational and we had so much fun! Wine was fabulous!

The only reason i gave a four star is the booking system. They start at dome 1. We must have been the first to book that day because we got dome 1. We were next to the kitchen and had no view...it was blocked by a screen. Only 5 domes were being used that evening so I think management should have taken the initiative to seat us at a dome with a view. The heat in our dome was also not turned on so the first half hour was quite cold. We eventually asked if we could be moved during our last course. The move was worth it. I would give Frind a 5 star for the food, it was absolutely perfect. The ambiance was also perfect. Beautiful venue. I would definitely go again despite our first experience. I would recommend anyone looking for a private dinner experience while still being in a social setting should go to Frind.
