Nice folks, selling excellent wine. Confused by the duck logo, there is no duck on the menu.
Cute, cozy , secluded patio.
The service was poor - we had to constantly ask for a new bottle and for food that was forgotten. When we ordered an array of small plates, none of them were explained including the three types of cheeses. There wasn't one quality check over the course of the evening and it was almost like they didn't really care whether we were there spending money or not. The wine list is interesting, the back patio is cute but there are better wine bars across the city with better food and service.
Super chill patio. Awesome beer wine and snacks. What more can you ask for?
I really enjoyed this place at first, beautiful patio (but small), me and my wife went for drinks last week and found they were extremely overpriced but what made this experience horrible was when my wife went to the bathroom she saw cockroaches behind the toilet. When she mentioned it to the bartender they snuffed her off and said " all restaurants have cockroaches". I realize this can be common in the older neighborhoods but to be so arrogant about the matter was mind blowing. I do NOT recommend going here.
Very nice bar and environment
Super chill patio with a super wine list! Perfect to celebrate the weekend lolz great crew there obviously!
Very delicious and inviting venue. The back patio is a great place to have a chill night out and the wine is really tasty.
Love Paradise Grapevine and their enormous wine selection! They have an undercover patio outside - it does get quite loud under the patio, but very convenient on rainy Toronto days. The staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and it's a lovely setting for an evening drink. They also sell wines to take home - on the pricier end however they have truly unique and fantastic wines.
Great wine selection, great beer selection, beautiful patio that's heated and open in the winter. Unpretentious wine bar, I would highly reccomed
Good local bar option. Interesting beer and wine selection. Might take a while to get your drink when it gets crowded.
beautiful space. amazing selection of wine
Really lovely wine, friendly staff, and beautiful patio. Still a few kinks to work out with the service (empty tables sitting dirty for a bit too long, one lone table that seemed to be getting table service) but I think it’s just because it’s so new. I’m confident that the next time I go it will be totally smooth. I’m excited to go back and try more of the menu because there’s definitely some interesting wine on it!
I absolutely adore everything about this place. The back patio is incredibly nice. It feels like someone's backyard was set up for super nice party and no one took down the decorations or lights. Converted for winter hangs too; still a wee bit chilly but eh! Oh yeah wine is their modus operandi and they do it well. Incredible selection of bottles with varying prices and consistent quality. Lots of natty stuff with a balance of traditional too. Always fun stuff by the glass with a solid list of craft beers. Food is vv basic charcuterie etc, but the occasional and hopefully more frequent pop ups are typically good fare. Fantastic date spot.
Wow! What a great find. Relaxed wine bar with their own wines (white, rose, red and orange selection) and yum charcuterie boards. Great vibes. Ambient music. Service was on point. We got a bottle of red called Too Much Heaven, that I’d highly recommend. They do chill some of their reds so if you’re not into that, double check first. We also got samples as we were trying to decide between two bottles. We had a modest two cheese, sundried tomatoes and truffle crisps board. Stayed for three hours easily. Am already planning my next trip back.
Chill environment, great drinks, good service
Cool place. Recommended for the area.
Currently selling beautiful bottles of wine with poetic descriptions.
Great atmosphere
You NEED to come here and have some delicious wine on the ✨vibey✨, ✨viney✨ back patio. Can confirm it is perfect for a girls’ night and I have it on good authority that it is also a perfect place for a date night.
Pretty place with a fun ambience. Nice fun chilled out place to hang out
Very cute unassuming place! Back patio is great, we went (group of 4) on a Wednesday evening. There was no wait, no crowd. Small food menu but the “everything platter” was delicious and great for sharing. Fun drink menu as well. We will definitely return!
Very cute place with a covered, shaded patio, decorated with literal grapevines and tree lights. Atmosphere was very calm; perfect for a relaxing summer night. You order your beverages inside - mainly wines. We missed their happy hour from 5-6pm - $10 glasses. Otherwise, the prices seem to range from $11 -$15 a glass. The signage outside is a bit confusing. We just walked down the narrow alley directly to the back.
Awesome atmosphere, wonderful service, and great wines.
This place is a TREAT! The staff is helpful & approachable, their house wine is always a hit if you’re not sure, and they always have a great selection. What a great place for a date night or an evening night cap!
beautiful space. amazing selection of wine
Here’s Jenny’s Yelp review - you rule!
Interesting beer selection! Outside drinking area is really nice too. Will gladly return!
Nice place for beer and cider. Sadly not a lot of options if you don't like those.
Best wine/craft beer bar in Toronto, with a super cute back patio.
Fantastic establishment with amazing owners and staff! My girlfriend and I had our first date here and I wanted to come back to propose to her. I contacted the owners of Pradise Grapevine and they were very friendly and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this spot for their great wine lists and amazing service. And the proposal went off without a hitch!
Wish I had taken photos! Came here for a first date, for a Monday they were pretty busy. Mood lighting and pretty chill music, bathrooms are spotless! staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Started planning my next visit while still there
Great wine bar
Good beer list, good wine list, nice dark wood and tables inside. Snacks menu is small but they have a pop up from time to time (mostly just lasagna). You should always get the bread (it's from the Burdock). Back patio is the place to be no matter the season (insulated in winter, breezy and green in summer)!
Great patio! Tasty wine and beer selection.
This place is a hidden oasis in the city! They have a stellar selection of local craft beer/wine, the staff are super knowledgeable and down to earth. Overall the place has a really chill vibe. There’s also a back patio that’s pretty cozy, even in the colder seasons which is hard to come by in TO. Would recommend again and again!!

Absolute pleasure spending an evening here. Perfect menu for any level or taste of wine, enjoyed on a gorgeous back patio. Dreamy staff, I was kinda crushing on her ????
Paradise Grapevine lives up to the name. The covered back patio -open late- is an inspired place to be. Great date spot. Unpretentious, with pleasing options of beverages to sip on. Swell staff, will be back for sure!
Very good wine and beer, perfect courtyard, very romantic environment.
Love their bottle shop set up and helpful staff.
Cute patio, great wines, and the charcuterie options are delicious. The mixed plate was perfect for 2. Servers were kind and knowledgeable though occasionally hard to flag down. They could use a few real 2-person tables on the patio, as the high-top “barrel” seats are a little awkward to sit at and don’t accommodate much food on top.
Fantastic wine list, and incredible patio open year round. Everything platter is definitely worth getting.
Very cute and hidden bar!
Great beer, wine and patio
Delicious wine and knowledgeable staff
A great wine bar and bottle shop our neighbourhood deserves. Great range of wine from around the world with fun and unique wines you can't easily find elsewhere. They are open 7 days a week and offer unique "other" beverages like ciders, piquettes, wine spritzes and more. New they make their own wines and seltzers. A beverage lovers heaven!
Great patio. Thoughtful choices of wine and beer. Lush garden atmosphere on a warm afternoon. A beautiful grape arbor to block the sub. Friendly and personalized service. We will return.
What a fantastic little spot! Superb staff who are incredibly knowledgeable about their wines (which are all super unique and fantastic - Highly recommend the Vin de Solf, one of the best reds I’ve ever had). All in all a great atmosphere. The only issue with it is the poor layout of the tables, they should have more smaller tables and proper coverage against the rain to allow for more people to gather.
The best spot at Bloor and Ossington for quality beer and wine. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Great back patio.
Terrific back patio with great ambience. It’s covered, so a good spot on a rainy day. Nice wine and beer menu with simple tapas style eats. I’ve taken two stars off because on a busy night, this place is LOUD! My companion and I could barely hear each other across the table and we were talking loudly; I won’t return because of this.
Nice staff. Very good constantly rotated wine selection. Beer selection is small but very well chosen. Snacks are simple -- bread, cheese, and tomatoes, but high quality and tasty
Beautiful patio, wonderful beer and wine selection, delicious chips and snacks. Staff is friendly and quick to offer their expertise and knowledge with drink selection. Go here.
Great wine and beer list and lovely service. The snacks are delicious and the patio has a real life grape vine! So good!
Skin contact. Good vibes.
Great wine and beer selection, very cute patio.
Went here last night with a few friends and we absolutely loved it! Great wines, snack options and such a cute patio ! Will definitely be back
I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend Paradise Grapevine. The patio was spacious and lively, and the servers were super friendly. Feels like an escape to a vineyard in the heart of downtown Toronto!
Great place, great vibe, great staff and great food.
The only thing that holds a torch to Menalon is Paradise Grapevine.
Friendly and chill staff and vibe. Interesting wine and craft beer lists that change all the time. Some ciders, but primarily wine and beer focused. Great by the glass/draught options, and extensive bottle list if you're feeling fancy. Limited food menu like salami, cheese, and bread, but all quality items if you're feeling peckish. And that covered patio! Love it during warmer weather, though it is somewhat winterized if you want to brave it.
Amazing staff, an incredible wine list & rotating craft beer & cider!
we had to wait for a table but quickly got a call once one was available. the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasant! the qr code’s made everything feel super efficient and sanitary! the cheeses were very delicious and i loved the Raboso Fiore which was a very fun wine! i would definitely come here again and recommend to others!
Super cozy spot with an incredible wine and beer list. Love the vibe here!!
Great bar
Great patio in the back. It's very intimate. The place is new and there are some issues that still need to be worked out. Though, not a big deal. The bartender didn't know how to split our bill when we explained which item belonged on which bill. She also didn't know how to describe the wine. Oh well. I would go back only if I was in the neighbourhood.
Intimate. Laid-back. Back patio - gem. This place is a delight. Staff are friendly and knowledgable about their unique, always changing wine and beer offerings. They gave me reds I’ve never tried (including a Blaufränkisch from Austria, and a Nebbiolo from Italy) and I’ll be going back for more!
Check this place out for some curious wines from around the world. Dark and candle lit, it’s perfect for a first date, second date, or a who’s counting now date.

Really good wine. Nice church pew in the front. Would recommend.
The place itself is very beautiful, however we were very thrown off by the experience we had there. Since we were on the patio a bug landed into the drink, which is not a big deal. However when we addressed the issue to the waitress she just stared at the drink and got very defensive and said “well we are outside” she then continued to ask if she should “scoop out the dead bug” from the drink. Honestly one of the most bizarre interactions I’ve ever had. The simple solution would have been to just replace the drink. Would not recommend at all.
Hot smart owner
Good service. Good drinks. Covered back patio, no wind, covid friendly spaced out, heaters, but the snack selection are not great.
Knowledgeable staff, amazing wine
great cheese plate, great vibes, skin contact
A cute wine bar tucked away in an alley. They make their own wines in Niagara and offer a small selection of other wines and craft beer. The wine is ok but go for the ambiance.

Great beers. But pricey but a nice place nonetheless
Great selection of wine on rotation, always have a few go-to classics from fave vineyards, like Pearl Morrisette. Really wicked back patio, open and enclosed with heaters to still enjoy the setting on chilly nights in fall.
Their focus is on wine, so if that's not your thing, you might find the options are scarce. Limited d liquors, mixes, and food. They don't really know what to do with orders other than wine.
What a great addition to the neighbourhood!
Great spot for a bottle!
Amazing patio
Super cozy spot with an incredible wine and beer list. Love the vibe here!!
Great atmosphere and beer selection! Bar service is a nice touch too. I didn't realize it until close to the end of the night but not having wait staff interrupting you every few minutes gives a lot more privacy to your conversation and makes it feel more cozy, like you're just hanging out on a friend's balcony.
Beers, drinks and decent food . Back patio was covered which I found a bit odd ... however, pleasant smells of an orange type or citronella to keep the bugs away and twinkly lights made it worth while !! Would recommend so long as you’re not not in a rush for service.
Great selection of wine, Sam the bartender is so great! Cant wait to come back.
Menalon’s, a longtime fixture in the neighbourhood, has been succeeded by a brilliant new establishment. The wine and beer selection at Paradise Grapevine is outstanding and thoughtfully curated by the new owners, who along with their staff, come across as exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The back patio is tastefully refurbished and open quite late (until 2:00 a.m.), which really sets this place apart. In short, this looks to be a terrific new spot.
Wow what a wonderful place I want to live here
We started our night out by sipping natural wines on the back patio, under the grapevines. What more could you want? A gem in the area - we’ll definitely be back soon.
Everyone that works here is someone I want to be friends with. Super knowledgable and handsome staff. Great vibes. Go here if you're a full human beingm
It’s hard to find from the street. The atmosphere is nice. Wine is overpriced, service is minimal. If you’re here for a photo opp you’ll be happy, otherwise probably not. It’s the type of place you visit once and enjoy, but because service is lagging and food/drinks are overpriced and lagging there isn’t really a reason to return.
Everything about this place is amazing, especially the patio!!
overall wouldn’t recommend. Came after seeing a blog post about the patio. Came to find out it was a tiny covered backyard. The staff was fairly average In comparison to the local Bars and the food was ok at best.
Beer selection is fantastic, staff are very helpful/friendly, location and atmosphere are awesome!
Chill spot with lots of great wine
Visited the establishment recently & loved the ambience of the outdoor patio. Design/atmosphere 10/10 Menu limited to "tapas" type offerings. Wine selection was very good, but staff did not have knowledge at a sommelier level. The "hit" on the bill for corkage ($25) on top of already elevated prices for bottles was a bit of a disappointment. I commend them on their idea/concept and hope with time they can iron out some of the "wrinkles". Best of Luck

I had come here quite a lot and enjoyed a glass on their lovely patio. It’s really nice in the summer with the grape vine hanging over your table. But I recently had a glass of their house red and it was very WARM. The “nicer” wines are properly chilled, but for a winery, all your wine should be probably stored and served. Just a suggestion!
We settled in for a serene Sunday afternoon with some dry hopped and sour. Dave was an expert beer host and gave us a great tour and history of the development of the bar. His expertise at Bar Volo and Burdock will go a long way here.
The wine was tasty, the music was good, BUT — No table service, strangely small glasses of wine, limited wine selection for dining in, and incorrect pricing on the menu (website only). They shamelessly charged us more than the listed price on the menu saying it was a typo, after we already consumed the glass. They didn’t even bring water to the table, we served ourselves. Too many other amazing wine bars in the city to waste my time here again. ????????✌???? I got way better service at the Menalon that preceded (and exceeded) it. Time to shape up!
Why aren't you here.
Love this place! Great for hanging with friends and having yummy snacks along side a well curated menu of wines, craft beers and ciders. During the pandemic lockdowns one of my favourite things to do is purchase wine from their boutique. A way better selection then in the Vintages section in the dreary LCBO on Ossington with LONG line ups. Staff are super approachable, friendly and very knowledgeable and I LOVE the truffle chips that came as a little extra swag!! Keep up the good work folks! You ROCK!!
Good vibes. Nice selection of wines and small side dishes. Truffle crisps were a good pairing
I don’t think that I’ve ever had a worst dining experience. I showed up excited to celebrate an anniversary with a friend who was in town. Upon walking into the back patio I noticed that multiple people in pairs were seated at various tables. After being seated at a small barrel shaped table that required my purse to be put on the floor and that was a bit uncomfortable I kindly asked if I could be seated at one of the other empty tables similar to other guests. The first host told me that they didn’t seat people in pairs at the bigger tables, after I pointed out that other guests were seated in pairs at bigger tables, she than said that they were reserving it for bigger groups. Upon clarifying if they now took reservations she said no and that the other tables were being reserved for the owner that was coming. She than came back 15 minutes later with water. After sitting in the same spot for another 20 minutes and noticing 3 groups of 2 who came in and sat where they wanted, we than asked again if we could be moved to a table in the corner that was smaller that the tables that all of the new guests in pairs were seated at, but that would allow me to not have my purse on the floor and would be a bit more comfortable, the host told us that she could but that she would likely need to move us back to the smaller table if a larger group showed up. 20 minutes later the host comes back over without offering to take our order (now 45 minutes) and says she needs to move us back to the small barrel table when all of the new guests that came in were seated in pairs at the same size table if not bigger and she didn’t ask anyone of them to move. After 45 minutes of Watching the host clean empty tables, tend to guests that came after us and literally have us seated for 45 minutes with just water, In addition to asking us to move when other guests were accommodated, we just decided to leave. It was very clear that we were being treated differently and it was very saddening to have to deal with that, especially when so many of us are trying to support small businesses in the city.
Great back patio. Love the vibe and energy. The staff was so amazing. will definitely be going back.
Went twice last week. Very good beer and chill atmosphere. I had an excellent natural red wine on the back patio my second visit. Highly recommend.
Neat little place. Cute patio!
Neat little place. Cute patio!
The prices at this place are 20% to 40% more than other Toronto wine shops. Great selection but not worth the price. Purchased a bottle for $45 and found it at Kensington wine market for $33. Look around first
Beer price seems to be tied to whomever is working. If they think they can screw you with the price they will. 1 star
Goood good good wine YES good yaaaaaa
Great wine bar, with a pretty awesome menu at decent prices. Their back patio is fairly one of a kind in the neighbourhood. I only wish that it was a full service restaurant so that I could spend more time there.
I only went here for drinks but; good vibes. good service.
Great
Went for lunch there when we went to visit our daughter in Toronto. Covered patio with frescoes is quaint. Food was excellent. Service was good and very attentive. We received our food order quickly. The wine and cider we had was good ; to the point where we bought 2 bottles of wine to take back with us. Will definitely go back there and will be recommending them to friends.
One of my favourite spots in town for a date night! Good ambience and wine and the pickled peppers make my jaw tingle. Owner is Hot and smart
The best wine bar in TO, hands down!
Get a Menalon while supplies last!!
I had a really enjoyable time at paradise grapevine
