My boyfriend and I came here once before the pandemic and we decided to come back for a date night and it’s so much better than I remember! The olive oil sample is delicious. My favourite was the fish with bread (forget what it’s referred to as on the menu). I definitely want to come back and try their fish charcuterie!

Popped in on our way to dinner the other night. The space is beautiful and the staff friendly. A good start. Then we tried a few flights of their wine. They had quite a few unique varieties that we had never heard of before. They were all good with some I would say as excellent. For me, the Cab Merlot Reserva and the Syrah Reserva were my favorites. Next time we go, we'll plan to have some of the snacks they offer. By the way, it was so affordable. Not your typical Toronto glass-of-wine prices. Check it out!

Olive oil tasting platter was great Wines were really good. However the server really likes spider holding glasses. She ensured that she touched every wine glass and water glass by the area you drink from with her entire hands/fingers

Had a private tasting here for a friend's birthday and it was excellent. Wines are tasty, prices are good, and the space is great. Our only issue was that it was extremely cold inside but I can forgive that given that the vats need to be kept relatively cool.

Been going for well over a year every six weeks to bottle wine. Have made House Red, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Grigio. For a dollar a bottle you can't go wrong. The Reds taste great with oak added. Pinot Grigio is outstanding.

I absolutely fell in love with this sexy establishment, the moment I found out you can buy the bottles of anything you taste. Amazing wines at great price points, can't go wrong. Staff was wonderful, charming, and created a perfect flight based off my favorite type of red. The place is filled with extra little treats and decadence to bring home and build a wonderful wine tasting of your own.

Excellent wines - I'm especially a fan of the Malbec, and definitely give the canned wines a try as well! Perfect for a hot day at the park. The customer service is unfailingly warm and friendly. The folks at Downtown Winery truly make it a pleasure to support local.

Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon. The store is absolutely stunning and I received excellent recommendations from the person working (Didn't get her name). Purchased 3 bottles for under $40. Excellent value. I'll definitely be back.

Hidden gem in Queen West. This place is a total cultural experience, not to mention the expertise of the staff, who are just delightfully inviting -- you feel part of the family! The team is super welcoming and professional, the wine is good and there is something for everyone I have personally tried a Syrah, a Cabernet, a Merlot, an Icewine, a Fernao Pires, a Malbec and a Tempranillo. there is fruity wood and even floral, it's very nice. The cheeses also have character and are a wonderful accompaniment to wine ????. I unfortunately did not have time to test the dark chocolates but I still had a preview with my coffee which was very convincing! If I have time, I would go back there before leaving Toronto ???? L'équipe est hyper accueillante et professionnelle, le vin est bon et il y en a pour tous les goûts j'ai personnellement essayé un syrah, un cabernet, un merlot, un icewine, un fernao pires, un malbec et un tempranillo.. il y a du fruité du boisé et même du floral, c'est tres sympas. Les fromages ont aussi du caractères et accompagnent à merveille le vin ????. Je n'ai malheureusement pas eu le temps de tester les chocolats noir mais j'ai eu tout de même un aperçu avec mon café qui était très convaincant ! Si j'ai le temps j'y repasserais avant de repartir de Toronto ????

Newly opened, nice staff, free oil samples (try the garlic) & good wine for a reasonable price. I recommend doing your own flight and trying a few different ones. Fresh “trendy” atmosphere and they had some Disney playlist on while I was there which definitely earned them bonus points in my book. The full food menu was not available at the time I went, but I’ll give them some time to settle in and definitely go back and try some food.

As a total wine novice, this was such a fun experience. They’ve got a really interesting selection, and are more than willing to explain the origins, ingredients, and styles. Our server Danielle was fabulous - truly knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had a great time while learning something along the way. I have already recommended Downtown Winery to numerous friends and colleagues!
