THE BEST FOOD EXPERIENCE IN EDMONTON! The food is crazy good. We had the feed me menu and it was worth every penny. The waitress and waiter kept us stocked and laughing the whole time. Such an amazing dining experience. My boyfriend took me here for our 3-year anniversary dinner. After reading the reviews, we had some pretty high expectations. They were all met! We decided to go for the "Feed Me" dining option along with wine-pairing since we wanted to try a bit of everything. Every dish was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We were so impressed! We were so full, and not to mention a little tipsy, by the end of the meal. I didn't even think we could handle dessert until they brought out a slice of their Flourless Chocolate Torte with a cute little sparkler on it to wish us a "Happy Anniversary". The staff made us feel so so welcomed and appreciated. What a special little place. Highly recommend checking it out, whether you're a local that's never been or just a tourist visiting the city.

Easily the best food on 104th with such an interesting unique style. The ambience is great, super cozy. The portions are small tapas like and great for sharing. I would recommend everything, but if I had to pick, the bacon and gnocchi are my favourites. Great selection of drinks & wine. Just be sure to book well in advance as it is a local favourite.

Yikes, I'm sure it's much better when you're in the restaurant but with takeout... It's just such a miniscule amount of food that is kind of unexciting, that it's hard to justify a $160 price point (I know I know it's tapas, but maybe increase it a bit for takeout?). Local gem, not for me, but the food although unexciting is pretty decent. I'd pay $80.

Glen the owner is a wonderful host who puts love and pride in what he does. The chef works magic to make small bite size pieces of heaven. The combination is a night to remember. I felt looked after like never before when I was proposed wine paired with plate after plate of delicious things I could not begin to name. I’ve said it to the owner and I’ll say it publicly, this experience has changed my view of dinning out!

Probably our favourite place in town. It's small and cozy, so reservations ahead of time especially on weekends is advised. Incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and friendly service. Best food in the city without a doubt. My tastebuds are taken for a Devine culinary experience with every bite. They make things I don’t even usually like which I end up enjoying the most. Aside from the food the drinks are excellent and the service is second to none. The price is expensive but worth it for sure. I would return weekly if my budget could afford it!

I almost never leave a review unless is deserved. This place is absolutely delicious and the service is superb! We had the gnocchi, paella and bacon. First things first, order the bacon, you’re welcome! The gnocchi was exquisite and the paella was great! We were full so we didn’t have room for dessert, but Clay was so nice that gave us a chocolate torte to do on the house (it was unbelievable). Again, the service is incredible! Best place in town!

This is the #1 restaurant in Edmonton, hands down. They are deserving of every star in these reviews and then some. The vibe: romantic, quirky, moody, VIP yet cozy. The food: Imagine you make a recipe a hundred times in a row and tweak it slightly each time to achieve absolute perfection. This is what every item on their menu tastes like. When dine in is open, their "feed me" option is incredible. During Covid, we purchased curbside pickup (kudos to the owners for keeping their staff and customers safe by remaining closed for dine in) and it was incredible. Since it was Valentine's Day they included a playlist, games including questions to ask your partner, and the most amazing dinner. We ate our takeout over 2+ hours at home, savouring each bite as if we were at Tzin (we wish!). Can't wait to go back here after Covid. There is nothing that we've tried that is not fantastic, but our two faves are the bacon (pic from our takeout below) and their chocolate cake. Omg. Also, the owners are lovely people and make you feel like you are an old friend at their home for dinner when you dine at Tzin. Perfect for any special occasion or just an incredibly fun evening with friends or your significant other.

Visited Tzin last night. Great experience overall. Service is great- attentive and staff make thoughtful recommendations. We had gnocchi, the beef with caramel sauce, bacon baguette, and boar meatballs. Honestly it was all so delicious I can't even pick a favourite. The place is small and intimate which is nice. We had been to Tzin on a previous visit to the city, to enjoy a late night glass of wine. Our gracious host Glenn wrangled up some in house made sausage which was delightful and made some wine suggestions that were dead on. He also invited us to come back and experience the full menu sometime. Last night we returned and took him up on that invitation. Let me start by thanking Glenn and Kelsey for being superb hosts and also thank Chef McGuire and his team. The experience as a whole was outstanding. Glenn and Kelsey provided a unique and warm atmosphere, plenty of wine suggestions, and friendly and informative conversation. We chose to let the house decide our culinary fate and would not hesitate to do so again. It was outstanding from beginning to end. Thank you Glenn for round two of the bacon????. This establishment is a jewel. The total dining experience is hard to find these days but Tzin not only met the mark, they exceeded it and set a new level. We have found our dining home when in Edmonton and will be back. Thank you all again for the memorable experience. Chef, keep doing what your doing so well and to which you obviously take pride in doing. It shines through in your dishes. As a retired Chef myself, your food is nothing short of excellent. Cheers

Enjoyed a take-home dinner for 2 during lockdown to celebrate my Fiancé's birthday. I'm always skeptical taking home nice food as I like it to be warm and such when served. We called and ordered curbside pickup. They provide an option for “feed me” and it was amazing. Their pork belly is to die for. They always do such a good job in person (we had a number of date nights there) and it was great in person. The curbside pickup was just as special. Highly recommended. I would have added photos but the meal is already gone!

What an incredible experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had the Feed Me menu and loved every dish. The wine pairings were perfect. Our waiter Clay and waitress Kelsey made sure that we were well taken care of. We were seated next to two different patrons during the time we were there and both took the time out to chat with us. It is unusual for a restaurant to attract and allow for such friendly guests. Next time we are back in Edmonton we will be sure to be back at Tzin.

Alright, right from walk in the place is an experience! Small and comfortable, maybe seats 22-24 people, so definitely recommend reservations! Watching the cooks, sitting at table #1 is always an experience, watching them take their precious precise time with each plate, such beauty when plating! Taste, absolutely phenomenal. Had the Downtown menu they hosted for this week, I guess not their regular menu (so all the more reason to go back). Glen, hoping I spelt that right, the Owner, is an absolutely fabulous and kind hearted gentleman! Such a wonderful business owner. The food was to die for, hit each Taste bud with such unexpected surprises, and all cooked and served in incredibly timely manners. DEFINITELY recommended for small groups wanting to indulge in high quality food. A big thankyou to All of the staff.

!! This place is the real deal!! The food was great, we really enjoyed the falafels, they were crispy and super moist, the steak was well seasoned and tender, the paella was well balanced (spicy, savoury and sweet) and the flourless chocolate cake was so good we ordered a second one! The wine choices were also top notch but what blew us away the most was the service! Kelsey and Clay were amazing! She will likely know which table is writing this review from the quotes we got and what I'm about to write. Never have I felt more appreciated as a customer in any setting (restaurant or otherwise). We were never with an empty glass, everything was explained really well and quite honestly Kelsey should be the gold standard that all restaurants use as an example of a perfect server! I've been to many restaurants who's service has been exceptional but Kelsey puts them ALL to shame, she was so polite, kind and well spoken, her attention to detail was incredible and her peripheral hearing is insane! -I don't think this review even does her justice. I'll be back to this place every time I come to Edmonton and if Kelsey ever quits to go work somewhere else, I'll happily follow!

We opted for the "feed me" option, where based on your level of hunger they would bring you up to 7 dishes of food to share between the table. It was myself and another guest and we ended up having 5 dishes and a desert. They also paired wines with the dishes. We were slightly surprised that all of the dishes were just pulled from the main menu. We were under the impression that the dishes would be a feature for the evening instead of just options from the general menu. We also only enjoyed the first dish, which was a beautiful tuna tataki. I would not rush back to eat again any time soon. Quite surprised this restaurant is on the top ten list in Edmonton. Service and staff were excellent however!

I had my first visit to the restaurant just recently and now I regret everytime I walked past this place without giving it a try. The food is exploding with flavor. Not sure if they change the menu often but I high recommend the salad, pork loin and the mushroom gnocchi. The portions are small but the taste makes it very well worth it. This place is a chef/cook/foodie's dream. Everything negative you heard is true. Yes it's tiny. Yes you will be close to your neighbor. Yes it's loud. Yes you will need to make a reservation and have to wait. However here is what you need to know. The kitchen in this postage stamp sized restaurant is wide open and you can watch all your astounding food be executed and presented perfectly. If you are a cooking junkie, this will be like being front row at the very best show in town (don't worry, the chef's are obviously used to people staring at them and drooling at their creations, they won't be affected). Prices are extremely fair. The wine list is massive. Location is great. If you go in knowing what to expect as far as the atmosphere, you will have an amazing time.

*Went on December 28th 2018* This restaurant is one of my favorites in Edmonton. I try to reserve it for special occasions as it is upscale and pricey, but worth every dime. Make sure you book a reservation because the venue is small. I've taken my girlfriend here for her birthday for 3 years, it has become a tradition. It's essentially a gift for both of us. We always select the "Feed Me" option because it's easy and we're never disappointed. The fact that you can indicate preferences to your server and then kickback and enjoy is another reason why I love this place. The service is excellent as well, they seem to remember you even if they haven't seen you in 12 months! They go out of their way to make the night special. Make sure you ask for their drink recommendations, because they have some unique drinks not shown on the menu. The timing of when the dishes arrive is on point too and they seem to know when you're getting full. The menu does change throughout the seasons so it stays fresh. I'm sure we will be back for the next birthday.

The staff are super attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. You can watch your food being cooked in the tiny kitchen. I've been twice and would go again for sure.

This is a very cozy little Tapas restaurant. The owner served us. He was very friendly and accommodating. We chose to have a sampling of whatever they thought was good. It was incredible. Very tasty dishes and one of the best pork Apple dishes we have ever had. I must try for any serious theater in Edmonton. Make sure to make a reservation as this place is very small.

I had read a few reviews about Tzin before visiting Edmonton and it sounded like a restaurant worth trying. The people were right! Tzin has a wine list and menu that might make you think pretentious, but it’s warm and cozy and if the owner is at the bar you can chat and get some good recommendations. My opening dish was white tuna with dill and balsamic. Awesome. I followed it up with mushroom gnocchi that was simply the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. The owner suggested I top it off with the baked apple and caramel tart. Great call. I left satisfied with a meal and an experience that was well worth the price. I highly recommend!

Tzin is the best! The inside of the restaurant has 7 2 people tables, with seating at the bar and on the patio. The setting is very cozy and intimate. Service is phenomenal and the staff is very personable, you are never waiting on anything or in need of anything. The food selections are delicious, hot, and locally sourced. They know when to cook the next course to have everything come out at the perfect time! The wine list is large, and they have a nice selection of premium liquors. I was also impressed that Tzin called me right away to let me know that my husband had left his Ray Bans at the table. I'd say if you're planning on going here, make a reservation in advance, it's definitely worth it!

This is an absolute hidden gem! Took my wife out to celebrate her retirement and what a great experience. From the food to the wine selection to the service - all top notch. While the wine selection is not abundant - it’s all quality stuff that’s not normally found in your average restaurant or liquor store. The food was about the best we have had anywhere - period. The portions were perfect to share so you could try 3-5 dishes. The house special “bacon” , duck risotto and the Wild mushroom gnocchi were our favs - but they were all fantastic. Top that off with amazing friendly service - and you have a night out to remember. Can’t wait to we come back to town and hit up our new favourite place to eat in Edmonton!

The most unbelievable dining experience ever. Ambiance (outside on the patio), food, and service was perfect. I went with four girlfriends and we had the loveliest time. We were so incredibly taken care of by the husband and wife team. We did a chef's tasting menu and every item was different from the last and was delicious. It was a real treat to go there, and we're still talking about it days later!

My favourite restaurant in Edmonton, hands down. We enjoyed a night out to honour my late mother's birthday. Tzin came through as they always do! They have a fabulous selection of wines as well as delicious tapas to try plate by plate. Or try the "Feed Me" option where they will bring you a selection of different plates depending on how hungry you are. Some of these selections are on the menu and some of them are not. Their knowledge of wine suggestions Is extensive. The owner, Kelsey, is the perfect front of house representative as well as server extraordinaire. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.... and 10 out of 10 for this fabulous little gem downtown. Be sure to make reservations and try to stick to their very polite request at dining within 2 hours, so others can enjoy the experience as well. (It's a very small restaurant so seating is limited.) Cheers to a great restaurant that will be celebrating their 13th year in March of 2020. We'll be back!! We ate the tapas too fast to remember to take photos of them! In the photo you will see two desserts we shared. Both were scrumptious.

Perfect date night. Friends and colleagues recommended Tzin, so we made Valentine's reservations a couple months in advance. So glad we did. Wonderful, welcoming atmosphere and service. Food was spectacular with a special set menu for the holiday. Risotto was creamy and somehow still light. The pork belly and parsnip puree had me enjoying things I wouldn't usually order. The beef was tender and rich. My only nitpick (and I'm searching, here) would be the scallop mousse. I just prefer the taste and texture of scallop in it's natural state. The recommended wine and port pairings were spot on throughout the evening and the dessert was rich and perfectly decedent. At first, we were concerned that the tapas-sized portions would leave us feeling unsatisfied, but with the richness of the food it was just the right amount. (While my husband actually tapped out at dessert, he was still wishing for more of the pork belly afterward. XD ) The space is tiny and intimate, so reserve your table. It's definitely pricey, but the food and experience is worth it.

The staff treat you like they've invited you into their home. This is a true wine and dine experience. Believe me when I say there is nothing else like it in Edmonton. I recommend going with their "feed me" option so you can sit back and relax and enjoy the surprise and taste of each dish that is brought to you. The Chefs have incredible talent. You will experience flavours that will leave your taste buds in euphoria. 5 Stars. I have never had a bad experience out of the many times that I've been.

Always an amazing experience! Although they are closed for dine in, please check out their options for pick up! I ordered dinner for my partners birthday and Tzin always goes above and beyond! A beautiful meal with a bottle of wine and a complimentary playlist, made his quarantine birthday feel almost normal. Can’t wait for another gorgeous meal when they open their doors. I dined at Tzin almost two weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about the food! Tzin is a can't miss experience, its so good it inspired me to write my first google review ever. The food is absolutely spectacular, the service doesn't miss a beat, its just a fantastic place all around!! I definitely recommend the "feed me" option, they bring you 6-7 plates to try and a wine pairing for EACH course. Oh, and their bacon dish... first time I ever ordered seconds at a restaurant!

What an amazing dining experience! The atmosphere in this restaurant is comfortable, upbeat, and busy in the most organized way. The service was spectacular, and we were treated by who I can assume are the owners, husband and wife, like we had known them for years. It was laid back yet professional, and the food was spectacular. I recommend letting the staff choose your meal for you! It was such a fun and personal Saturday evening with some of the best seafood in the city. This is definitely the new dinner spot for me, and would recommend anyone to give Tzin Wine & Tapas a try. Everything was amazing! Food was delicious and very creative. All fresh and well thought out. Love the space. More intimate. This gem could have been in a much larger city and it would still shine. We had the tasting menu and the wine pairings. Everything was amazing including the service. A 2 person team that just rocks. They even had the delicious Empress Gin! I could go on and on about how great this restaurant was. The intimate setting made the whole experience so magical. The two servers were so detail oriented, kind, and informative. The cocktails were 10/10. We ordered from the chef’s tasting menu, and myself and my boyfriend and I still haven’t stopped talking about it. There was a plethora of foods served, all cooked perfectly and bursting with flavours. This is debatably the best meal I’ve ever had. If you go to Edmonton, you MUST go here!

I love tzin so much! Frequented here a few times in the past and then booked a reservation for my husband's birthday last night. We had so much fun! Great service and the staff is just lovely. The food was awesome, We did the selection where you tell them how hungry you are and they just bring you random plates of different dishes to try. The dessert was also lovely. Will be back soon.

Wow. Just wow. I almost never write reviews but I would be remiss if I did not immediately acknowledge the amazing culinary experience I’ve just had at Tzin. Kelsey and staff were warm and professional, and she nailed wine pairings with their menu which took us on a journey. Everything that came out the kitchen was superb - the mushroom gnocchi was absolutely incredible. Classy. Delicious. Elegant. What a gem, can’t wait to return again soon.

My best friend and I make a point to come here at least twice a year and always have the most amazing time. This has been one of my favourite places in the city for an elegant and upper-class experience. I was introduced this place in 2014 and if price was no object would recommend the "Feed Me" option as it expands the menu as well as ones palate. You really should make a reservation as well as keep in mind during holiday seasons that the dining time in the early evening will be firmly regarded to keep all reservations moving along. So if you can make a later reservation to completely enjoy being pampered with excellent food and service it would be worth your wile. Will keep coming back!
