The cheese and fruit plate was incredible. A terrific range in flavour both in wine and in food was enjoyed by myself and my husband. The wine room's look and feel is elegant. Even better than a classy restaurant for a date and with incredibly knowledgeable staff. I have known the owners for a while. Both are friendly, personable, and ensure a terrific customer experience. I would recommend The Wine Room for a romantic evening or to impress your best business clientele.

Mona and Tanelle were soo knowledgeable and really made the experience what it was…AMAZING!! The wine selection was impressively extensive to fit all occasions (pictures of our 2 favourite from the evening are included). The charcuterie board was soo fresh with unique cheeses, fruit, nuts, chocolate, bread, crackers, figs and sooo much more. The ambiance was 2nd to none, I felt like It was an escape to a swanky hidden gem from NYC.

Went as a group of three, had a lovely evening. We all tried a smaller glass of wine and that helped us decide on a bottle. We were considering a charcuterie board, and the staff offered it to make a board based on the wine we were drinking, which turned out amazingly. I would definitely go back!

Large wine selection where you can purchase by the ounce, glass, or bottle. Employees are always helpful for selecting a wine. Delicious small food plate selections. I'd recommend the coconut curry prawns or any charcuterie cheese boards.

Great spot for wine by the glass (and an expansive & elegant selection of bottles as well) and charcuterie! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Beautiful, unique interior. Clearly, a lot of thought and attention to detail went into the atmosphere - they have created a wine cellar experience in downtown Edmonton! This would be a cozy spot for a winter date night, but found it a little dark and dim for a summer's evening out.

Great experience, except for the prices. You can taste a number of wines by ordering it by the ounce (2 oz min) and order a charcuterie plate with your personal selection out of their cheeses, sorted by softness. Order everything on an Ipad and give to the server to get your order. Bottles of wine from $45 - $5000. If I had more money I would go there way more.

Booked a table for 8 over the phone without problems. Was phoned 2 hours before and told that our reservation was cancelled. Got two booths across the isle from each other, but where told that we could only keep one for another half hour. Then we got moved to two more booths and finally to the table for 8 I had reserved. Our waiters seemed grumpy as hell that we had people dropping by and others leaving because it was apparently impossible to split a check, which he told every new person upon arriving. Multiple people never got drinks they ordered. When 3 people tried to give him their wine orders he informed us he would not take more than 2 orders at a time. Apparently ordering a second round of food was a major inconvenience for them. However when the food was brought out another server listed off the 45 different things on the board none of which we could understand or remember so it was pointless. Further don't try to pass off Costco cheese for fancy cheese. We started ordering bottles of wine to avoid the waiter and using dirty glasses because we knew we would never get new ones. When we determined it was better to leave then carry-on it took about 30 minutes to pay the bill. Which we have no faith it was actually accurate. We were very disappointed in service and had specifically chosen this location for a special event which was incredibly awkward for our guests. It is a beautiful wine bar but based on the horrible service we really will probably never go back there and do not recommend anyone go there with more than two people. Upon paying we complained but the waiter said that he couldn't take anything off because the manager wasn't here perhaps if the manager would be present on a busy Saturday night service would've been better.

Wonderful EXPERIENCE for date night. Intimate atmosphere. Finally a place away from the bar scenes. Very comparable to Grapes in the Banff Fairmont Hotel. Great selection of wines, cheeses, and meats. A wonderful step up for Edmonton.

First time visiting the Wine Room last weekend, beautiful ambience with candles lit everywhere. Our server was very patient with us and answered all of our questions with great knowledge. He made some great recommendations as well. We shared a meat and cheese board which was delicious and the wine was even more so. The restaurant is quite small so I'm glad we made reservations as it did get full.

Great experience. Had a wonderful couple of times here now. Truly a romantic experience as the booths are comfortable and somewhat private. Lighting is dim and sounds do not carry. A great intimate place to share with someone special. The wood ceiling gives the impression that you are in a barrel. With it's gentle curves. The wine is varied and tasty. Selection is great. Charcuterie board is a wonderful tasty experience to share. Best I have ever had.

Party of 4 went here last night. Even though we had a 6.30 reservation, we were standing at the entrance for 15 mins before a staff member even showed up (we almost turned around and walked out)When she did show up, the server was pleasant and informative. The wine was very expensive for what it was. We had cheese fondue - basically melted white cheddar in a one person cup (no light under it to keep it warm) with pretzels and crostini, coconut prawns and mussels. The food was OK, nothing special and not worth the price. I think they buy everything from Costco. Atmosphere was quite nice, but very dark. Wouldn't go again.

What a fantastic experience. The charcuterie is hands down the best I've ever had. So many flavors and richness. The atmosphere here is very intimate and cozy. The booths are very private and make you feel like you are in a different place altogether.

Walking through the front door alone was like walking through a door to Narnia. We tried 6 different wines, and more charcuterie than we could eat for a fairly reasonable price. By the time we left, we couldn't believe we spent 2.5 hours there, it felt like 1. The staff were super friendly, they left us alone while we were eating, yet never left us with an empty glass.

At first glance, it may seem expensive but it is worth every penny. Incredibly unique atmosphere - you won't find anything like it in the city. If you have been to Italy, it will bring back memories. Service was top notch, and the food was fantastic.

Absolutely loved this place. My husband brought me here for my birthday after a co-worker of mine recommended it. The inside is beautiful and very dark and romantic, perfect for a date night. The music suits the atmosphere perfectly and isn't too loud, which is a big pet peeve of ours. We certainly love wine but are not experts by any means, and our server was very helpful and patient when helping us select a few wines to try. Once we settled on a bottle, he recommended that we trust the owner to make us a charcuterie board that would complement it. It turned out amazing and was pretty much exactly what we would have picked out for ourselves but without the hassle of reading through the very large selection of meats and cheeses on the menu. We also got a couple small plates, including the warm chevre (which was sooo delicious), and we left feeling comfortably full. Prices seemed very reasonable, even for a couple of average joes such as ourselves, but it's probably easy to rack up a big bill if you want try a bit of everything. They sell wine by the ounce so you can sample a few or you can buy a bottle. They do have a great selection of affordable bottles, which I thought was great. Something that I found very surprising, was that they give it to you to take home if you don't finish! All in all a great experience.

Our second time to The Wine Room and we were impressed once again. We met a group of friends there and had an evening of wonderful service. The food was amazing and we are looking forward to our next event there. The cheese fondue was enjoyed by all, the coconut curry mussels were incredible and the charcuterie (of which we have many pictures) was made even better by the suggestions from our waiter.

This has to be hands down one of my favourite places in Edmonton. I have been for girls night, date night, and with family. Everything about this hidden gem is classy and elegant. Service has always been great and it’s nice going somewhere with such a different atmosphere. The rooms lighting is dim and feels like you’re in an old wine cellar. ( very romantic ) Smooth jazz and easy listening music is playing in the backround. I typically order the charcuterie board and you get a lot for it’s price. (Great for sharing ) I cannot wait for my next visit!

Great selection and service - charcuterie was amazing and beautifully presented. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars out of 5 is because they sometimes close earlier than is reflected in the hours so you go late you may show up and have to change your plans.
