Nice selection of beer. Had the Desiree which was quite refreshing. Food was also pleasantly and surprisingly good. Staff was courteous and very accommodating. Prices are what you would expect from a restaurant in an airport. Of all the spots where you can eat this is probably one of the better ones.

First visit to Montreal airport and I found this place whilst walking around and looking for a place to grab something to eat. It looked pretty nice and offered a nice variety of different types of food. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and the service was great. Food was served in a good time and tasted fresh. All in all not a bad place at all.

Good food, the burger wasn't anything special but it for sure wan't bad. The onion rings are the best I have had from multiple places in Montreal. The strawberries on the creme brulee were hard but the rest of the dessert was good. Little downside for the fellow coke lovers, they serve Pepsi instead.

The menu is vast and offers options to all kinds of taste. They are well known for their beers and burgers. We asked for a poutine, which is normally fries with things, but ours was more smoked meat with things. Good, yes, but had better. Really salty prices and I was a bit disappointed with the staff performance as well as the ambient music, which was too loud probably where we were sitting.

I wish I could give 0 stars, listen to the other reviews. Our waiter was useless. Only thing they knew how to do was ask for our order, bring our drinks, and drop the bill. Never got asked if everything was good, or offered water, or syrup. When we were done our meals they finally returned to ask how are things, which we explained how we would have liked some syrup during our meal and they rudely asks if we want any yes or no. We said no since we’re clearly done our meals. Only then did they quickly return with the bill to drop it centre of the table and walk away. I work in a restaurant myself, I get it they were busy, but that’s why there are other staff to help. Their service was inexcusable. Not even a thank you. They’re lucky we tip generously regardless. Don’t work customer service if you can’t be kind under pressure. The food is also not worth it (at least breakfast). It’s over priced, cold and small portioned but that isn’t the waiters fault. Just mentioning it as to why I really don’t think the restaurant deserves even one star.

Pretentious facade for very unspectacular and usual airport food. Ordered a burger, nobody even bothered to ask how the meat should be cooked - of course it should be well done, why not? Fries overcooked - bordering on dark brown, dry and unedible. Recommended to stay away - a small fast food joint selling small tacos was a goid remedy for this atrocity

Saturday morning and the restaurant is 75% empty. I wanted a booth to spread out my newspaper and read it during breakfast. Hostess told me booths were reserved for 3 or more. I told her why I wanted a booth , there were many empty. But no. That was against their policy. So I left and went to pork and pickle. They had no problem giving me a booth. Who ever makes the policies, I hope you read this. Policies are great but so is common sense I suggest you review your training. After all you are in the hospitality business. So teaching hospitality should be more important than maximizing every empty seat. Or in this case a negative experience. I write this respectfully as I also have a business and if anything like that happened at my business I would like to know

Worst nachos ever, cheap topping, small amount of chips and very expensive. It costs 17$ for the nachos without any meat and 8.70$ for a pint of tap beer. Maybe good for a drink, the beer is pricy but at least it's good, the food is below average. I don't think I'm gonna stop there again.

If you have time for a proper pub meal before your flight, this place is a little slice of gastro pub heaven in an airport. Their stout was simply amazing. I had their goat cheese and mushroom burger which had a wonderfully seasoned patty and tastey fries. I even ate their housemade coleslaw, which I usually leave on my plate. Menu has wonderful twists on standard pub fare but also some Montreal greats like tartares. You will pay more for your beer and food than some other places, but the wonderful decor, satisfying portions and super friendly staff are worth it. Marked the beginning of vacation for us, which we thought worth every penny

Surprise find in departure area at Trudeau Airport in Montreal. Excellent beer selection, super friendly staff who make the customer feel like they belong while at the same time obviously enjoying the place they work. Only tried the beer which is brewed locally so I can't comment on the food. Check it out when departing Montreal.

Great fast service, I recommend getting one of their three beer flights #flightsbeforeflights The deer tartar is delicious for those who don't care too deeply for Bambi. Beware the deconstructed cheesecake is made with goat cheese. The fancy poutine was a game changer. Seating is a bit of a chance game, you could get a nice sofa by the fireplace, or crammed into a smaller table without a view. Overall, a solid medium priced joint with great craft beer selection.

Nice variety of microbrewed beers. Ate there while waiting for a connection flight. You have to go through the gates at the airport to get there. Service was good and quick, but if you have luggage it is a bit hard to find a place to put it. You have the option of just having a brew at the front or a meal inside. Nice atmosphere.

Meal started off great, friendly service, great vibe and cool decor. Started with the poutine which had smoked meat, pickle topping and honey mustard with your fries, curds and gravey. It was great, their fries are pretty good. Our entrees were the Archibald burger and the Alabama chicken burger. Archibald burger wasnt that great, the brioche bun was over toasted, burger was a bit dry. The chicken burger wasn't any better with just a slab of "fried?" chicken with not too much flavor, at least the bun was toasted properly. It was unfortunate because the app was great and had high hopes for the meal.

Bad service. We were eating and asked if it was possible if we could have a comfortable seat when it’s available. Our waitress told us if that’s what we wanted we could go and line up again out front. Then when we didn’t tip she proceeded to argue with us and try to bully my husband into tipping. Not a nice experience :(

Again a terrible place to eat! I should have eaten before passing security, 28$ burger including 15% tip for a unsatisfactory service and a distracted waiter. I wish I had a restaurent at the airport this way I can serve a pile of poop to my famishing clients and make them pay a premium price! How can you make such a bad burger? For 20 bucks burger don't expect your clients to season it themselves, meat taste like mud, buns were oily, served cold. This is my second time here I thought I d give them a chance, please Archibald hire competent staff! Or defrost dinner table meal I m sure it will taste much better! Waste of money and time eating there! Don't go there if you are a foodie!

I always love going to Archibald's. They have great food fast service and they're waitresses and waiters are fantastic! I have yet to be disappointed with the food and the service that I get there The lumberjack decor is fun too. It's hockessin there but you still feel like you have a quiet enough spot with your friends as you wait for your plane. I don't really have anything negative to say about this restaurant. If you are in the Montreal airport, check the note! Even if it looks busy you will be served quickly.

A great canadian theme restaurant for breasfast and artisanal beer. The place is crody in the morning but I still decided to stop and haveca place at the bar. Time was an issue as I had 30 minutes before my flight. I took the all inclusive breakfast with eggs, waffles, ham, bacon, potatoes, bread, fruits with peanut butter and creton...this is a real breakfast and it was very tasteful. They also brew their own Quebec artisanal beer with funny and provocative names in French...can't hardly use a translator ;) Ps. Cost of CAD $ 17.00 + coffee + soda + taxes. A bit expensive but, nothing different than in most airport.

Nice place for pre flight food and drinks. We were sitting at the front in a squishy section (with carry on luggages it was not ideal). Wifey had a burger. It was ok but a bit dry and lacking onion. Had the Dodu burger cooked to medium rare which was nice, not an over cooked like at most restaurants. Slow yourself one hour if you are going to eat here as everything is freshly prepared. Burgers were very dry and lacked flavour. Service staff seems to be in a mighty hurry - ended up banging the sugar tray on the table as he stormed off. The table was uncomfortably small that we had to keep additional cutlery and sides on the nearby empty table. On bringing another customer to the nearby table the service staff kept all the stuff back on our table leaving no room for us to place even our hands to eat.

We loved chilling in this nice airport hangout with the rugs draped all over the chairs and cozy seating. We ordered some of their beers, very nice, just too bad the smoked salmon sandwiches we ordered were kind of dry, very very salty, and just sort of mediocre in how they appealed to us. We should have stuck to Hamburgers and Fries...the other patrons who had ordered that looked like they were enjoying it more than us. Yes we'll return, if only for the absolutely wonderful cushy seating, and the delight of airport eating and drinking before embarking on adventure :)

Service was good, but food was just fast food restaurant level. I ordered a poutine. It tasted like the chef/cook poured too much soy sauce in it. Chicken was cold. It seems like they just took the frozen chicken out of the freezer and heated it with microwave but with insufficient time. My friend ordered a crispy tuna taco. The tuna was way too deep fried and salty. Popeyes can make better deep fry. Staff were nice and friendly, but I really think they should hire a new chef, or just remove these complicated food from their menu. Besides, even it is in the airport, the food quality is so far from satisfactory and not worth the price at all. It was crowded as well. Definitely a one-time visit only. Not recommended.

Disappointed by quality of food. Beer is ok. To respond to owner: I ordered the burger which I found average at best, and the quantity of fries was small. My two colleagues both ordered the Tomato and Walnut salad and both did not enjoy it. We did not indicate our discontent at that moment, so the waiter did not offer anything else, but in discussing the meal afterwards, we all came to conclusion it was not great.

My lady and I wanted a pint to drink and this was the first spot we saw and we decided to try it out. BIG MISTAKE! The hostess was a rude Quebecer who place us in the back next to the pit and when I ask for another place she told me the rest was Reserved.... So I went to another table, and order a beer which was flat... Like come on. I bet they gave me a beer that was sitting on the counter for a while. We had a layover in Montreal and thought we would eat something for dinner here. I think people just ordered the wrong menu items because the dishes we had were not bad. I had the lamb shank and my SO had the pork ribs. Both were tasty and huge in portions. Service was also attentive and pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to order something more than just a sandwich or burger.

The hamburger we ordered from this restaurant was acceptable (not stellar as the price would indicate) and the service was ok. However, my concern is with the waiters attitude about tip when he gave us the bill. There was a presumption that we would or should give him a minimum 15% tip. If this is an assumption with management that their staff should be entitled to a 15% tip it should be automatically added to the bill, and when the tip is being calculated it should be for the food and beverage not including your provincial and federal government taxes. And of course this information should be understood when customers come into your restaurant so they can make a choice if they want to eat at this establishment.

After 15 hours of international flight, we decided to stop by and have a bite at Archibald's. The waitress did show up after 10 min. and took our order. My daughter just wanted to eat some fruit while my wife and I, ordered a main course with two beers. Since there was no fruit in the menu, my daughter went outside to buy some and came back at the table. After a few minutes, the waitress came at the table and in a very arrogant way she said to my daughter that she was not allowed to eat food that wasn't bought in the restaurant. We explained to the waitress that my daughter just needed some fruit and that we had ordered our meal and drinks already, but she said that it did not matter. We were left with no choice and decided to leave the restaurant. We were incredulous at what we heard and went to another place where we could eat our meals and my daughter could eat her fruit, even if it was purchased else where. Our experience at Archibald's has been very disappointing and we will never go to any of their restaurants again. People should come first, even more when you are at an international airport. Special attention should be given to travelers because most of the time they are tired and all they need is a good place to relax, good food and polite personnel. Obviously, Archibald's lacks the main prerequisites to be considered by us a good restaurant.

Archibald is definitely on the pricy side, but then again it's inside the airport so there is a premium (45$ for 2 burgers). The green salad on the side of the plump burger was fantastic. The plump burger itself was...a ground burger. It was on the dry side but still good... the waiter was friendly enough but the hostess/ ladies at the front were quite cold and straight to the point.

Almost every time I've traveled, which, granted, is not that many, I remember walking into this microbrewery and enjoying some good (non-airplane) food, a cozy atmosphere (in the cold-feeling airport terminal), and a craft beer while seeing the time to leave for a new adventure get closer and closer. It's especially nice since it's located after the security check, so you don't have the uncertainty of the changing waiting times for security check looming over you. With the variety of beers that they offer, I'm sure they've got something for everyone. I've only good memories of this place and I'll surely visit again next time I travel.

What a pleasant surprise Archibald's was especially as it is located in the restricted area of the airport. We were there at the beginning of March and the start of the Quebec March break so it was busy but we were not pushed to eat and go. The waiter was there when we needed him but he did not hover. Food quality is very good, menu was limited, but that is a good thing and there was something that would suit most peoples taste. We also had a chance to have dinner with Ed Broadbent, well not really, but he and his family were at the next table.

The food was disgusting, I tried the hamburger, it was shoe leather, probably they pre cooked the meat and let it sit there, the french fries were cold. A terrible place to eat! I should have eaten before passing security, 28$ burger including 15% tip for a unsatisfactory service and a distracted waiter. I wish I had a restaurent at the airport this way I can serve a pile of poop to my famishing clients and make them pay a premium price! How can you make such a bad burger? We only ate the nachos but enjoyed several drinks. Right opposite gate 51 which is where we boarded for London so convenient this time around. Staff were friendly and humoured me as I attempted (rather poorly) to speak French. Would happily use again, not spectacular but quite cosy. Easy to forget you are in an airport departure lounge.

I have come here a few times to the Quebec City location. Overall, I have been immensly impressed with the level of service ad professionalism. This evening, I came to the Montreal Airport location and was extremely dissatisfied. My usual meal was a reduced portion, to which the server even noted it appeared small. She attempted to ask the kitchen for a larger size to compensate me; however, she was told they have “recently made reductions” to the portions. Unfortunately, this has affected my will to recommend this restaurant to other employees from out-of-town. I would hope this is not the case, but fear the truth is evident in what was provided.
