Amazing location, views and wines!
The food was amazing. Paired with one of their wines and I was in heaven. We sat outside and some deers fed and relaxed right below us. The kids meals were amazing too. Real chicken tenders and fries with homemade ketchup!
Breathtaking and incredibly beautiful view of Oliver valley! Absolutely great tasting wines served by lovely and heartwarming people. Jessica and Judy, we love you! Gleb and Alesia from Calgary.
Some great wine! Excellent venue for outdoor events like the concerts series at Tinhorn Creek!
Do some yoga in the vineyard on Saturday morning and follow with a free tasting! Lovely staff too.
Loved the food at Miradoro Restaurant. The wine is pricey but good. The view of the Okanogan Valley was spectacular from the restaurant. Overall it was a great experience that I would highly recommend.
Totally awesome
What do you get when you combine a great winery with a talented chef and decades of experience behind it all.... You get Mirodoro. Great views, even better wines and chef's creations are truly divine. I'm going back again!
Stayed at the winery for 2 nights in the Rutherford suite and it was unbelievable. The service at the wine shop itself was hit and miss. For the most part, everyone was friendly, but not super welcoming for 2 people who do not know or pretend to know much about wine, but still enjoy it. We found it intimidating at times. The wine itself was delicious though and we did buy some to take home in the end, but we found other wineries in the area less intimidating and more welcoming when it came to their wine tastings.
We came here for dinner while in the area. Our meals were decent but nothing spectacular. We each had different appetizers and dinners, and had the wine tastings with each, and neither of my wines went with my dishes. It was honestly disappointing. The staff seemed to be frantically running around even though the restaurant was only half-full, which affected the ambiance of the room. We will not make a point of coming here again.
Very nice place, awsome veiw
Great view, nice staff
Great wines and amazing service! A lot of unique reserves on their menu that we’re all 10/10, a must stop for any wine lover! As well as a huge thank you to Jorden for the fantastic service! Perfectly showcasing the knowledgeable and friendly service of their staff!
Awesome tasting. Everyone was very friendly and personal. I appreciated the time Pam took my my child.
I was here a few years ago and it's a beautiful vineyard. Some of the best wines I've ever tried comes from this place; worth checking out!
Another Giant pretentious comercial winery out to make money over good wine. Could not even get in to taste the wine here, due to covid protocols they were allowing very few people in at a time to taste, they basically told us to come back in 45 minutes. Seriously go to some of the smaller wineries in the area, you will be much happier.
Pam (Pamela)served us our flight of 4 wines tasting but added in two extra reserves wines. We picked up two Chardonnays & one Cabernet Franc.
Simply amazing. The experience here was not only awesome but very informative. The wine's were delicious and our wine connoisseur Max really enhanced our experience. Wasn't rushed, very enjoyable.
Amazing. At first I balked at the fee, but it honestly was a totally worthwhile experience. To sit, in a stunning environment, to take your time with the wines, and to have an awesome host like Rhoda guide us through made for my best wine tasting experience in all my years up here. Rhoda was fun, well informed and just really enjoyable. I totally buy more wine when the host is like her - she definitely made the visit. Could not recommend enough. The wines themselves were awesome. Totally surprised me. Highly recommend if you want a different, more elevated, relaxed, fun experience than the usual tasting cattle call.
Wine tastings are well handled, with proper concern for safety. Bought several bottles of their excellent wine.
Had the spot prawn orecchiette and it is truly delicious. First time having orecchiette and it was so good. The texture of the pasta is perfect and the sauce was garlicky with enough of a bite. Yummy. My boyfriend had a mix up and didn't know his pasta had dairy in it until it came with cheese on top. We were going to just pack it and order something else for him but the team were so gracious and quickly swapped it for something else for us. That is amazing hospitality and definitley worth recognizing. Will definitely come back.
Fantastic experience... loved our tasting so much we are now next door at the restaurant. Pam is an awesome wine ambassador
Spectacular views. Wine tasting is a set menu. Tasting appointments are bookable online (max group 6). Staff were friendly. Strict COVID protocols in place.
Great experience and beautiful location
Had great time having Judy pair wines with the Halloween candy when we there in October. A great place for lunch as well.
Good food, great wine, gorgeous views
(Translated) Simply awesome wow the mountains. (Original) Tout simplement wow grandiose les montagnes .
Great winery overall. It's a pretty big property that's maintained very well. They got a bottle room you can see all the barrels which is awesome! The wine is very good. Some higher end bottles. Restaurant next door which is amazing too. Staff is polite and professional
Good wine. The service in the tasting room was intermittent and distracted. A semi-retired man named Fred greeted us when we walked in, asking us where we were from. When I told him, he sneered, shook his head, and said he "couldn't take the mentality" there. In short, we walked in excited, we walked out annoyed.
Great wines and always good. One of my go to's.
Very good wines, excellent chardonnay and our hist was great.
Good place for a tour.
Rhoda, Pamela, and Mike were absolutely exceptional in their delivery of the Tinhorn Creek experience. Thank you so much, we will definitely be coming back!
(Translated) We really enjoyed the experience and the service. We were with the kids and the Vineyard were very accommodating. The charcuterie platter was excellent. The view on the patio for tasting and the walk in the vineyards made our visit memorable.
We have spent the last week dong a tour of the wineries in Oliver. Has been an awesome experience. Visited the Tinhorn wineries and the Rosé is one of the best you can get on the bench - Rhoda was one of the most engaging servers we met and provided exemplary service. Strongly recommend
Staff is awesome!
Great day at Tinhorn tasting patio! Beautiful views, some good wine. Our wonderful, charming hostess Rhonda was the best part!
Megan was so personable & full of knowledge. I’m a sandhill wine club member and they were so accommodating to give us a private wine tasting. They had everything set up for us and ready to go as we had called ahead. Loved our experience with Tinhorn & Megan. She’s a great asset to Tinhorn! Cheers.
Great staff. Very congenial and helpful. Resteraunt is very worthwhile with a great menu. Try the grilled cheese sandwich. ????????
My girlfriend and I were on vacation through Okanagan wine country. Over six days, we visited sixty wineries. You can follow our various locations with this disclaimer. That’s sixty wineries, not an exaggeration. We ended the trip with 120 bottles acquired. The closest major winery to Oliver, the furthest from Osoyoos, Tinhorn can either be a worthy climax or an early high point further wineries will struggle to measure up to. It’s truly a magnificent representation of what anyone can expect if traveling to this region…and that can be as much praise as criticism. It’s no secret that many of the wineries here look similar, as they all share the same off-yellow outer coat—it’s like every business from Oliver to Osoyoos snagged the entire supply of Glidden’s Mustard Seed exterior paint. I counted at least five wineries that share the same color or close to it, which is also why I consider these wineries part of Osoyoos rather than Oliver given the former matches much of that theme, that of an archetypal village in New Mexico. I half expected men with mariachi jackets, white ruffled shirts, red cummerbunds, and large hats playing guitars on the side of the road. I mean it’s an amazing look, and Tinhorn is one of the better-looking ones, certainly the most extensive. After you’ve seen one period-specific custard-colored building… There’s also an amphitheater and a massive wine shop. There’s even a casual self-walking tour one can take including the storehouses and vineyards. However, the real high point is Miradoro, the lavish restaurant with walls of glass overlooking both the vineyards and the amphitheater. I’m jumping to the end, as after we took in the wine shop, my girlfriend and I finished with the other wineries before returning to Miradoro for dinner. The wine shop is certainly widespread, with bars on both sides of the main room. The wine itself is quite good, though not one single bottle sold me save for a nice Cabernet Franc. The décor is simple, with tan-stained wood covering every corner, though I found the entire wine shop surprisingly small given the expansive premises. Miradoro is the real jewel. With a restaurant erected on stilts, and our table wedged to the edge of the patio, my girlfriend was almost getting vertigo, as we could lean a few inches and look straight down. It’s gorgeous and incredibly romantic. And the view, oh my god, if there’s one place to go for the best view of vineyards…okay, there’s about ten in this part of the country, but how many have views this good at dinner? Okay, there are at least four—THIS IS WHY Osoyoos/Oliver wine country is so amazing! The interior of the restaurant was vacant the day we went—everyone was outside. I had the albacore tuna putanesca calamarata, and one of those words I understood. It was seared rare albacore tuna with artisan pasta and putanesca sauce. I still had to look up what putanesca was. It’s a combination of anchovies, olives, and capers. Also, it’s spelled “puttanesca”—SPELLING MISTAKE. We’ll excuse them and move on. My girlfriend had the grilled wild moon organic pork chop—you see, that I understood, with crab apple mustard, fried polenta, baby kale and charred leeks. We preceded that with the albóndigas, which is Spanish for meatballs. I mean…they could just call it that. It was served in a rich tomato sauce with parmesan and arugula. It was all amazing, so much so that despite almost getting tipsy at Road 13 earlier that day, I polished the evening with a flight of three glasses of white. They paired well. Yes, it’s becoming old hat that every single winery in this region is amazing. Because they are. Tinhorn is barely a few minutes away from Hester Creek and Gehringer Brothers. This is foodie Disney. I can’t wait to go back.
Very friendly and great service. Love the Merlot and the 2 bench Red
We visited this winery on Sunday, Sept 5, with a pre-booked tasting for a large group. Sadly we encountered the same rude hostess as we had during other visits. She is abrupt and unwelcoming, not allowing us to ask questions or seek clarification on her directions. The other staff were very pleasant and professional. We enjoyed the wines and bought several bottles. However, given our repeated experiences with this very unprofessional and disrespectful staff we likely will not return. She should not be the face of this lovely winery. We hope the owners take appropriate steps to address her poor behaviour.
We visited this winery hoping to enjoy a wine tasting and a bottle of wine in the picnic area. The winery grounds are beautiful and the picnic area is lovely. Unfortunately our wine tasting experience was disappointing . I walked over to one counter and no one acknowledged me even though I stood there several minutes. I walked over to the other and again no one acknowledged me even though I made eye contact with one of the staff. I finally asked a staff member directly where we could do a tasting. She told me to go back to the original counter. When I went to the original counter the woman there told me to go back to the second counter! By this time we had already waited several minutes and our kids were starting to complain. The tasting then felt a bit rushed, the staff person was fine but didn't seem overly friendly and it didn't feel like a fun and relaxed experience. Normally we would have just left ibut it was getting late in the day and loading up our kids and driving somewhere else wasn't going to work. We felt unwelcomed and it put us off from purchasing more wine than our one bottle. Usually wineries in the area blow us away with their warm welcome, friendliness and customer service. As a result we make a point of recommending them to friends and family and purchase that wine both from the winery and back at home. This one felt like they didn't want our business and we weren't welcome. Beautiful scenery but next time we will stick with the ones that have great customer service.
Bought a $25 bottle of Merlot that was off (tasted sour). I called the winery & gave them the details from the bottle & also sent the receptionist a picture of my receipt & the bottle. She called me back a couple of days later & said she checked with management & the rep in the region (Richmond BC), & was told they couldn't do anything about it & that I would have to deal with the Liquor Store I purchased the bottle. I explained that I live in Ontario & was no longer in BC but Tinhorn refused to refund me for the bottle or at least offer a replacement. It was a $24 bottle, if I was trying to rip them off I would have picked a much more expensive wine. Furthermore, they could see from my receipt that I had purchased other items and spent a lot more than $24. Anyway, bad customer service & no accountability on Tinhorn Creeks part. Lots of great wine choices out there to bother with a company that doesn't value their customers.
From a quick spur of the moment tasting to special requests and private events, Tinhorn Creek is always the favorite amongst our Family and Friends. Also a favorite spot for my Husband and I to start our date night's. A nice bottle of Rosé while you can get it, with delicious basket filled with deli products infused with Tinhorn Goodness enjoyed nestled somewhere with a beautiful view of the valley
The wine is great but Mike is the reason we continue to come to Tinhorn. He is so knowledgeable, kind, funny and extremely personal! I would highly recommend going to Tinhorn for a tasting, grabbing a bit to eat at Miradoro or bring your own snacks and enjoying the view at their outdoor picnic section or in the amphitheater.
Enjoyed the tour of the grounds that is self lead. All staff are incredibly friendly and knowledge. Miradoro Restaurant is amazing! Pizzas, charcuterie, sandwiches, all so great!
We unfortunately had a bad experience at Tinhorn Creek restaurant. It started off good in terms of being seated quickly (with a reso), and our drinks came fairly quickly. Our kids meals were served first. the simple tomato pasta for kids was not very good or flavorful. My husband and I both ordered pasta. Mine was the special. It came with a minestrone first, which was cold and not very flavourful, the beans were under cooked. Our pasta dishes took over an hour to come, which by that point with 2 kids, We had to take our meal to go. I realize it was busy but there seems to be a lot of staff. Our Waitress walked by a few times as which one point I had dirty dishes from kids meals and appitizers piled up that sat on our table for Far too long. Our wine drinks were not offered to be replenished, and near the end felt like we were being avoided. When the food finally came and I commented on wait time, she said, the kitchen is backed up. Not very sympathetic. This experience could have been made a bit better had it been acknowledged that we had been waiting for far too long. The wine is great and the view was beautiful but the service and food experience was disappointing.
Whites were strong - but the service is going to keep me coming back - Rhoda was such a delight, what a fabulous experience.
Our wine concierge, Max was perfect. 5ganknyou for the informative tasting
Pam was very helpful, insightful m, and overall awesome. Awesome views and great wine.
This place was amazing! loved the arc.
Oct. 10, 2021 my wife and I shared a tasting flight experience accompanied by a wonderful hostess, Megan - young, bright, knowledgeable and gracious. She provided a lovely array of wines, all of which are worthy of attention. Also, Steven, the Sommelier not only visited us with his knowledge and expertise but also treated us to a couple of other beautiful wines that instilled us to purchase a few library wines. The day was a 38th wedding anniversary celebration and we were truely blessed with the attention and wines. Thankyou so much Megan and Steven, we will do our best to pass it forward.
Love this vineyard, beautiful setting, great wine tasting.
Great tasting
Great restaurant, good service
Manny and the folks are spectacular! Great view and the food was fantastic.
Tinhorn Creek was the highlight of our wine tour. Roda made the experience fun and memorable. Great wine.
Staff and location were great. The wine was mostly average. Wine tastings were $15 each, and the fee would only be waved if each person bought 2 bottles of wine each. I did like one type of wine, but for my wife and I would have had to buy four bottles or else pay an additional $30 on top of the cost of the wine. Many other wineries nearby with better policies and better wine.
Obviously Covid-19 has affected Tinhorn Creek Winery Experience / Service. My Wife and I are Great fans of Tinhorn Wines. We have visited this winery many times over the years ( every year ). We always have a Great experience, enjoying the wines and the service, we try to incorporate a Great lunch at their Miradoro restaurant to complete a memorable experience. This year ( October 1st. 2020 ) we visited, we had lunch at Miradoro, it was great and enjoyed our favorite wines with our foods , good Covid-19 protocol in place. After lunch and a walk we went to the winery for some tastings. We had not checked their web site nor were we expecting such a 180 change to what we were going to experience. If "They" think it is acceptable to charge their ( Fans ) paying customers $15 per person ( the life blood that keeps them in business ) to taste 4 pre selected wines - 2 White and 2 Red, well they had better check their arrogance ! Sorry but that's the way I feel. ( Yes the $15 is applied to your bill if each person tasting purchases 2 bottles each ! ) Yes - we could have walked away, and not completed our experience, and just buy the wine that we enjoy ! As wine lovers know every year wine can change a bit or a lot , that's why we taste wines ? As a foot note - we live locally - we always give great reviews when deserved, Most wineries charge a $5 tasting charge that is applied to your bill if you purchase at least one bottle. We have been to most of our favorite wineries this year, a lot are waving the tasting fees completely ( including 2 of your large neighbor wineries ) and no they are not giving small samples as what was suggested by one of your staff to justify your cost, that was before she admitted that other people had complained about the tasting fees and encouraged us to send an E-mail / Review. I apologize for the rant - we will still continue to purchase the Tinhorn Wine that we enjoy and have lunch at Miradoro, but as long as the COVID pricing is in place we will not be experiencing tastings at your winery. I hope that their Customer Relations or their Retail Supervisor Krista Clarke respond to this with justification to their Loyal Customers. Regards
I've had two lunches at Miradora and they were both great. The adult grilled cheese sandwich was terrific - very good blend of cheeses/crunchy onions and prosciutto made for comfort food with a gourmet touch. The soup of the day was mushroom and I am a soup connoisseur - it was not just an accompaniment but an equivalent star of the meal. My partners had the steamed mussels with chorizo sauce and raved about it. the view is the final exquisite touch. This is my quick go to treat just over the border from Tonasket, WA.
We were a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children), and wanted to try Tinhorn because of previous friends recommendations. If you like to wait an hour and 45 minutes for your food and poor service then this is the place for you. We ordered a couple bottles of wines some appies and dinners for everyone, even the olives appetizers we ordered took over an hour. The food was okay but the wait and the service turned us off from ever wanting to return this place. After waiting nearly 90 minutes for our food we asked the waitress what was going on and that it’s been over an hour and half she smiled and said she would send over the manager, who never came!!!! The food came about 15 minutes after that, after the dinner the waitress offered if the kids would like some ice cream... knowing that we were obviously not happy with the service we thought maybe she was offering as a sorry gesture for the kids, so we said yes to the ice cream, only to realize she charged for all 4 ice creams for the kids!!!! I rarely ever write any reviews but this one experience was awful, I get some restaurants could get busy and take longer, but we only ask for an apology or even a heads up so we could have ordered more appies to hold us over till dinner. We were extremely disappointed that we were told the manager will come twice, and he didn’t even show up to say sorry. When you spend 400$ on a dinner you would expect some sort of service or sincere apology if things don’t go right. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and our experience was so bad we don’t even know if we would try any other winery restaurants period.
Colin and another lady whom I missed the name of (mature, glasses, blonde,straight/shoulder length hair) were absolutely a pleasure to have directing us. So very friendly from the moment you arrived to the moment you walked out the door. The view was beautiful, lunch at the restaurant was so very flavourful and unique. I highly recommend the black glass wine tasting, so unique and fun for everyone!
Was just here with a party of 8 People. When we arrived they had us in a beautiful private tasting room with Sommelier Zola, she went over and above to make sure we ALL enjoyed it including an expecting guest also had something to sip on. We purchased some wine to enjoy outside with the food we had brought along. She continued to serve us outside and make sure we were taken care of. Tinhorn creek was the highlight of the entire day top to bottom amazing !!
We arrived for lunch. Great service, food and experience. Beautiful views and tasty food choices. Family friendly for young children and they had a children's menu. I was impressed with the Covid precautions taken for staff and guests.
The winery was beautiful, the customer services in the WINE SHOP was awesome. They let you try the grapes, give you a taste of the wine as you walk through the door while you look around. But I must say that I was so very disappointed with the restaurant!!!! We had a reservation we were traveling with others on a tour so they decided to also have lunch. We got to the restaurant about 10 min before the others and service was good, until we had our order taken. After our starter salads came out we waited 45 min for a pizza to share. The other 4 people that were on the same tour at this point had already paid for the same 2 courses. I could see that the water that they had was on hand to ensure his customers had a good experience, where as our server had not been insight for 40 min to even notice our food still had not come out or that we were out of wine. Finally she came out and I had to stand up and walk over to her to ask about the food... Its a shame since it was a special occasion and we booked ahead thinking this would be a great lunch. I also wanted to add since we were already holding up the group we couldn't even have desert. When I talked to the manager Justin McAuliffe he responded I invite you to try us again and I will serve you myself. We spent just over $80.00 for a half lt of wine 2 salads, and a pizza (that I was disappointed in) We would have spent way more had she came by to bring us more wine and offered us desert.
Delicious food, fun staff and a clean & well designed restaurant. The wine room with all of the barrels was open to observe and take in the fantastic smells! We will be back!! ❤️Sharon & Mark
We ❤ Jessica! She is phenomenal. So knowledgeable, gracious and kind. She has hosted us 2x, once with a private tasting and tour and another with a private group tasting. It was amazing to do the tour, tasting which included vertical and library tasting. Incredible production at Tin Horn Creek. We especially love the White Pinot Noir. Miradoro restaurant was excellent also with the chef's menu. During our group tasting, Jessica again was so kind and professional. Can't wait to go back Tin Horn to see Jessica.
By far our favourite winery in Oliver! Judy and Mike were very knowledgeable, welcoming, and helpful! The wine here is AMAZING! We ended up trying 7 wines and they were all so good!! The view is breathtaking and the building is beautiful! We highly recommend this winery!
Had a lovely afternoon at Tinhorn. Stunning views, knowledgeable vintners, and a wonderful variety of wines, what more could a gal ask for. Pam was the highlight of our afternoon, she somehow managed to change our minds about rose and chardonnay.
Have loved having Pam every time as our wine expert!!!
Gorgeous location & vineyard! It's a must see!
Had a wonderful experience at Tinhorn creek for lunch and tasting. Jessica did our tasting and she was so awesome and an expert on the wines. It was very Covid friendly as all the employees were wearing full face shields. Highly suggest checking it out!! Even during this time !
Gorgeous spot to end the Golden Mile trail. Judy was super knowledgeable and friendly to help us do the tasting. Will definitely be back to sample the restaurant!
As always, Manny and his entire crew (Jeff, Sam Jordan et al) provide a superb experience. From the greeting to the finale, the cuisine and wines are remarkable. I wish that I could say the same about the winery.......Aside from Rhoda, (who is great), the rest of the folks managed to screw up our "crush club" order (we have been members for some time) beyond belief.........We dine at Miradoro frequently and are always delighted. I have resigned from the crush club as it is too frustrating to deal with the wholesale incompetence of those in charge of the programme. As a former longe term grape grower and supplier to Peller, I suggest that you need to transfer the skillset and attitude of the Miradoro staff to the wine shop......
What a disappointment . We did the chefs tasting menu . First a was a broccoli stuffed calzone. It was so hard, dry and overcooked I could barely cut through it . Next was a minestrone soup with way too many noodles. Followed by a dry over cooked chicken breast. I think it was the worst let down of all as I could have made better chicken myself . Didn't stay for dessert and will not be back
Great Service from Rhoda - she knew her wines and made the experience a lot of fun. She was energetic and helped us sign up as club members. Will come back for sure.
I truly enjoyed wine-tasting experience a week ago. Their wines have well-rounded personality that would meet everybody's taste. My favorite is Gewurztraminer.
Had dinner there tonight. This is the third time eating at this establishment. Pizza is so so Pasta is ok. But tonight the salmon was really disappointing. Served with cut up peaches ? Cold burnt bread pieces. The salmon was also cold. Would not recommend this restaurant for its food. The view is spectacular but the food for price$$$ not worth
Always fantastic service! I am a member of their wine club and chose reds only. There was a small error on the last shipment and I got a couple white wines so I sent an e-mail just ensuring that for future I was receiving red wine only. Becky immediately followed up and more than made up for the oversight. Impressed with her response and continue to be a huge fan of Tinhorn.
Great wines! Pam made our wine tasting experience super special. She was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the wines and winery!
What a wonderful tasting. Wines were great, but the service we got, from Rhoda, was excellent. If you come here, ask for her.
