More of a place to drink rather then eat, food a little on the high side, ordered a hamburger and pop, with no gravy, but the gravy came any way, no one came by for a refill are any thing, just the bill. Thought I would get a way cheep this time, small gravy 2.99 lol fountain pop 3.60. burger and a small hand full of fries 16.50 witch on menu sad 12.99. Funny your food takes a long long time to come when your drinking and faster and bad service when you are not, ;(

Definitely an enjoyable atmosphere for Kitimat. They have a decent selection of beer. I was a bit disappointed that they do not serve local beer but perhaps that's because they are a franchise establishment. The food is good and there is a wide selection. Pretty typical for a chain style restaurant. The staff were friendly and gave some good local recommendations.

Ate Lunch at Mr Mikes in Dauphin for the first time today and everything was great. Great selection of food, really something for the pickiest of eaters, prices I felt had great value. Service was a little slow for the amount of people in the restaurant but some things are out of the managements control (It was a holiday so probably limited staff). At the end of the day the food came out hot and delicious. Do yourselves a favour and visit this great chain.

The consistency from MR. Mikes is actually very impressive. From Edmonton to Grande Prairie and other locations I’ve tasted. I must say it’s identical and always on point. Location are always clean. This particular location is very safe during covid, have automatic doors and hand sanitizer everywhere. The waiters are very courteous and always smiling. Passing through GP for work and we stopped in for lunch here. My dish had a weird, chemical-like aftertaste. Not sure why. Couldn't finish it. Service was friendly and prompt though -- they took my meal off the bill and apologized. Was happy to pay and didn't really care, but they insisted. Nice! Was with a few friends and they had great meals there. So maybe next time I won't order a stir-fry at a steak joint. ????

I visited Mr Mikes Steakhouse for lunch on September 6th after returning home from a weekend at Duck Mountain Provincial Park. With COVID, masks are required to enter the restaurant but can be removed once you are seated. I had the entire restaurant to myself which was nice. Being that this is a steakhouse, I was pleased to find a vegan option on their menu. I ordered the Fun Guy Burger which was the vegan burger and had a lettuce wrap as they didn't have a gluten free bun option. I had the Cascadia Salad as a side. The meal was fantastic and tasted amazing! In the future, it would be awesome to see a gluten free bun option on the menu. The serving staff were friendly and professional. They originally brought out my burger with a regular bun after I had requested a lettuce wrap, but this was promptly fixed by the kitchen. I was pleased with the service and the quality of the food. Would return again!

Building overall in very good shape and well maintained. Newly built with outdoor patio. Modern design with friendly well trained staff. Attentive, service oriented and friendly. All were wearing masks to comply with Covid policy. Food was hot and tasted good. Good experience overall. Menu choices are good, limited for vegan but good overall. Would recommend and go again.

Finally a Restraunt that can cook a perfect Steak! I stayed in kitimat for 5 days after eating at Mr Mikes the second night i went back every night of my stay. The 16oz Rib eye is so good im hooked, definately will make a special trip up again just for this place! Great staff Greay service!

Steak was ok. But they were out of house wine and then I ordered a second choice and she returned to say they were out of that as well. So my third choice, Chianti, i believe turned out to be extravagantly expensive. My bill was $25 above what I’d expect for a single person dining. Their prices are gouging and I’ll will definitely avoid this place due to overpricing of food and beverage.

Mr Mikes has a good atmosphere and good drinks. The food isn't super special, but it is on par with any other normal restaurant so you will be satisfied with it, but it's not really a selling point. I would recommend trying somewhere else if great food is what you're looking for, but if you just want a casual night out this is a great place.

Had a great experience when we went. Food was fast, hot and tasty. Steak was great and cooked perfectly medium. Server was great. Only minor thing I would suggest is maybe having a ‘basket’ or something to bring salt, pepper, ketchup and other condiments related to the meals and sanitize after use. I am awful for asking for something, then realizing theres no S&P on the table... so I feel bad for asking more than once. Minor detail, though!

Came for an early supper. Staff is super friendly, restaurant was clean, and the food was DELICIOUS. We had the lobster dunk appetizer (best tortilla chip dip we've ever eaten) and 6oz steak with onion rings and lobster Mac and cheese. My steak was ordered rare and came cooked just right. Hubby ordered medium well and his was also cooked perfectly. We had the apple pie for dessert and I'm glad we only ordered one because it is huge - and the best apple pie we've ever had. The server forgot about the Monte Cristo coffee we ordered with dessert, but it was so tasty it made up for the tardiness. Definitely worth the money.

Been there twice since opening and both times the food was a let down. $35 for an 8oz steak with mac and cheese, onion rings and shrimp. Steak was beautiful, mac and cheese was a tiny portion, only served 2 small onion rings, and a skewer of 5 of the smallest shrimp know to man. Second time ordered another steak Medium rare and the thing came blue rare. Love the house lager and the wait staff.

Friendly place and the service is great but the steak is never cooked properly which is unfortunate for a steakhouse. Most tables have a weird sticky finish on them even after a fresh cleaning. Accompanying this is extremely high prices so you would be best off to try another restaurant in the area.

Very nice place. The restaurant is decorated with some very nice pictures on the walls (even in the bathrooms). It wasn't too busy when I went, but the service was great! Our waitress got our order in a timely fashion, and was very accommodating and polite. She helped me chose a drink that I would like, and was happy to substitute the Spicy chicken with a different type. Our food came in a very reasonable amount of time.

I ordered the Butter chicken with Broccoli bowl. It came with literally a few dry on one side chunks of chicken. The sauce was good. However, it shouldn't be called butter chicken with the tiny amount of chicken that went in. And yes, I did let the server know and she offered to take it back but I simply wanted to eat. My wife ordered the Garden burger and the only topping was one leaf of lettuce no ketchup or mustard. Didn't even bring or offer ketchup to begin with. For the price MMS charges maybe they could offer more than what is given.

Food was great, host was great, service was lacking... possible to be a 4 star review, but... server took a while to even come to our table, it was another hostess who took our drink order. I'm not sure I felt welcome by the server, like it was a burden to serve us. Our server had passed by our table and asked how our food was a couple times, decent, no issue there, but when asked for the bill we waited a good 15 minutes before getting up to ask for the bill again. Food was great, we had 2 appys, 3 steaks, and 1 China town stir-fry, all food came out as ordered, I even asked the host to pass on the compliments to the cooks. Overall it was a great meal.

Waited 15 min for drink order(wasnt a third full) drinks came quickly and food time was reasonable. Except rare steak was past blue closer to seared with a torch and served. Wife's steak oscar tasted like the same pan was used prior for butter chicken. Overall the sides were the only thing deserving of the second star. Second bad experience here. Wont spend $100.00 for 3 meals there again!

Our most recent dining experience at Mr. Mikes is what made me decide to review it, specifically the chicken wings. I will eat basically anything other than steaming excrement and be perfectly happy, so for restaurant food to rile me up enough to post a review on the internet it has to be pretty bad. Tonight the wings were not only slimy inside and luke-warm, they were insultingly small and bony, like the bones of a cat or a quail. One piece was approximately 3/4" long and consisted of bone, cartilage and skin, with no meat. All of the wings had a watery inside-of-the-freezer taste, I suspect they had been removed from the fryer a little too soon. More than half of the middle wing pieces (the best ones!) had the little bones smashed or broken, so that small pieces of bone would be guaranteed to make it into your mouth on almost every bite. Overall it was not the worst chicken wing experience I've had in my life, but it was far from the best. With the limited choices of restaurants in Kitimat I can't say that we won't be back, but I will seriously consider going elsewhere before returning to Mr. Mikes.

Try the sirloin bites for sure! A great spice and a bit of coleslaw and green onions. Mix the dipping sauce with the slaw and it is delicious. Checkout the Vancouver Long Island Iced tea and make it a two oz. A twist of lemon, and you have a perfect patio drink and meal.

Our food took forever and was cold. Our friend paid for the bill in full (for everyone) so we were going to leave cash for a tip on the table however was not finished visiting. The waitress just assumed that we were leaving her nothing and had asked us point blank why we were not leaving her a tip. In my waitressing career I would NEVER had asked anyone as to why they did not tip me. I emailed the company with my complaints and nobody ever did email me back to confirm that my email / complaint was received and would be rectified. I left my number so a manager could call me back to rectify the problem and still to this day months later nothing ….We will never be back.

The particular location I am referencing in this review is the location in Estevan , Saskatchewan. I have been to several Mr Mike's locations around Canada and I can honestly say that there is no standard throughout this franchise. The food, the service and the cleanliness of this location are 5 star. If you are in the Estevan area stop by and have one of their steaks and you can decide for yourself.

Great spot. Went on a Thursday night with a few co-workers at peak dinner hour. Sat on the lounge side. Service was awesome.....hands down some of the best i have had in a long time. Drinks were great, food was ready very,very quickly. Would totally reccomend.

The food was good but the service was not. Our server was very slow, only showed up to drop food off, never offered to refill drinks and left most of the dirty dishes on the table as more food was arriving. Could be due to staffing shortages but we saw our server floating around so I think she just wasn’t paying attention. It is nice to have a decent restaurant to go to when visiting Kitimat but I hope you’re not in a rush. August 2021 EDIT: Came here again a few days ago and the food was great with excellent service! Not sure which experience is more representative but I’ve bumped my rating up to 4 stars.

Ordered a well done steak because that's how I like it. What I recieved was far from well done. For a steak house that's pretty disappointing when they can't cook a steak remotely well done. Ordered it to go and was already at the hotel by the time I realized. This wasn't even close, but good try ???? Edit: They sent me $50 gift card to make up for the issue.

Went out for a nice night with family, service was very slow from the get go restaurant was almost empty so no excuse. Waitress had brought everyone else’s food and forgot my chicken strips she finally came back to our table 1/2 hour later I asked about them and she said she would hurry them through the kitchen and they did just that she brought me out extremely raw chicken took one bite and grabbed our jackets and let them know that we will not be paying for our meal and I will not be coming back ..

This is an awesome place to enjoy an evening. Only suggestion I would make is to have the servers use unscented hand lotion so when I take a drink I'm not overwhelmed my the smell and sometimes taste if the bottle was handled by the top of the neck. Other than that I recommend Mr Mikes to everybody.

Stopped here for lunch on a weekday. It was slow. We sat in the lounge. Attendance picked up as we were there as we were a bit early for lunch. Service was friendly and helpful. Environment was quiet, decently lit, and clean/modern. Washrooms were clean, well stocked, functional, and modern. Wait time for food was acceptable. Food was well prepared, and what I expected based on the menu. Overall, I enjoy the place and will return.

Take Out - Food was ok, gravy was way too expensive for half a small container. $6 for half a container (1/2 cup barely) of gravy. I was offered gravy I said yes, if I would have known before I got back home it was going to be this crazy I would have said no. Otherwise, not a huge deal but both orders were incorrect with having the incorrect toppings. I would not advise take out. Eating in is fantastic. Take out not so much.

Both of my girls ordered a sundae .1 came with a candle on for my husband .he was the birthday person. & she charged us for both .but they were meant for the girls .I was kind of disappointed. It was good, not great. Slow service considering the restaurant was only half full. My burger was decent, but my husband ordered a rare steak and was served blue. My M-i-L ordered a medium steak and received rare. Our server took the steaks back to the kitchen and they were put back on the grill. Came back blue-rare and medium-rare. The mango chipotle chips are amazing though! I'd go again. Love the decor.

Last things first, the warm sticky toffee pudding is one of the best desserts I've had. It's not too sweet, which is how I like my desserts. Even after a huge meal of steak and beer, I wiped my plate of the pudding clean. The sirloin I had was cooked to instruction and the traditional rub of the steak appealed to me over my friend's gaucho style filet mignon. Both their in-house beers, antler ale and Big horn lager, appealed to me as well. After the meal I really wanted to have a third glass but had no space to accommodate one! PS: Amazing, prompt and pleasant service made the whole experience brighter.

I made an order for pickup that included a can of coke, I don't usually order beverages, so I didn't realize I hadn't received it until an hour after getting my food when was craving said beverage. I called the restaurant back explaining the missing can of coke and the manager offered to drop it off at my hotel for me. Just left from Thursday night eats in which they have a large portion of appies and burgers half price. Haven't visited in awhile because had noticed the service really taken a plunge in the last couple years, but pleasantly surprised this evening. Our server, who told us she normally bartender, was attentive, super friendly, and amazing. Food was quick out and delicious. I have to mention as well, the host, a young man, was really friendly and courteous. It is nice to have young, pretty girls in your restaurant, but it got really snobby and cold in there for a couple of years, minus the one server with the great laugh that was their only saving grace. Definitely will make this a regular spot again if the service and quality continue.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary and although both our meals tasted good my husband ended up with food poisoning. We also saw some big hairy chef in the back with a huge beard and chest hair hanging out of his tank top. My husband went back the next day to complain and was told no one gets food poisoning there, but when he went to walk in the Dr told him there were numerous patients who came in with the same complaint.

What a great experience! First time ever at Mr. Mike's and was pleasantly surprised. All the employees were extra friendly and helpful. The menu is quite varied and it took us a whole to decide, so many options, including several for vegetarians. Definitely try the Shrimp Tacos, so delicious. The manager visited our table and chatted a moment, after learning I was from Ontario and it was our first visit to a Mr. Mike's, she took our appetizer off the bill. I've never had such a nice experience. The restaurant was super clean, the portions were huge, and the food was delicious!

I ordered the Rib Eye, Gaucho style with fries, Rare. The order showed up with Mash Potatoes and no Guacho. Before the meal hit the table, both I and the waitress could see it was the wrong order. So they quickly took it back and told me the right order was on the way. They made the poor decision to re cook the steak, gaucho style and return it to me. When it did return, after about 8 minutes, it was the exact same meal, recooked and served with fries and guacho. However since it was cooked. then served, then cooked and served again, ( forget its Covid) and the meat arrived well done. cost $43.99. I'm dropping my rating from 5 to 3. That was a terrible experience and left me questioning how the chef got through culinary school.

I really was impressed with the how quickly we received our food, I know its "Fast Food" but it was quicker than most McD's...and the burgers were excellent, they were perfect and the buns z actually were not soggy, they actually looked like the ones kn the commercials. The staff was very patient and kind, something you hardly see in fast food restaurants. Very clean tables, floors and bathrooms. One of the best McDonald's I've been to.

Haven't went there in months. Last few times I have been greatly disappointed, definitely isn't what it used to be in terms of food and service. Update: decided to bring it down another star from my last two star rating. There isn’t many choices in Dawson to eat so once in a while you have to go around the block and go back to that same restaurant with mediocre service. Last night we tried to go back there for a bite to eat before bowling. Pros: my dinner was good, the yam fries were actually really crispy and tasty, the mike burgers have surely gotten smaller everyone at the table noticed. My boyfriends pasta was luke warm - they also didn’t ask if any of us wanted fresh ground pepper which is a standard question waitresses would ask guests normally. And his “garlic” bread had little to no spread or flavour. My brother and his girlfriend got wings that were apparently good as I didn’t try them. And they also had a steak sand which the steak was cooked perfectly to their liking their one shrimp scallop sauce they ordered on the side didn’t show up, and they also asked for just a teriyaki chicken breast on the side - the waitress brought out an entire teriyaki chicken rice bowl. When the waitresses brought out mine and my boyfriends food there were empty plates on the table that could be taken, she partially walked away and then came back and said “is there something wrong?” In an awkward tone... like idk?? Do you not realize you’re trained to remove plates from tables as needed? The service was really awkward and We won’t go back again. We don’t expect to be treated like royalty but just regular friendly on the ball service would be nice. Not a mixture of good and bad food and 5 different people bringing out food or asking if we need something.

The food was delicious, tried the shrimp tacos. the staff were very attentitive and made sure we had a everything. The lobster dip appetizer was so yummy
