This winery was recommended for our little winery tour in cobble hill. The location was beautiful and the owner served us for the tastings. He was incredibly knowledgable and did a fantastic job describing a great variety of award winning wines. We also had lunch at the bistro which was also very good. Great stop if you are in the area.

My new favorite winery in the Cowichan Valley!! They have 16 varieties of estate wines, which are all very unique and exquisite. I especially liked the Pinot Gris (this is saying a lot for me, since I am primarily a red fan) and the Spritzy Rosè. The grounds are beautiful, and Maria, the owner has a wealth of knowledge of wines. Highly recommended!

wine is amazing & the owner puts on the tasting himself

Good and wine were excellent. We tasted the Spring Salmon which was perfectly cooked. My red negra was also very full but easy to drink. Reason for three stars is the servers and lack of knowledge of the food menu (had to consult with the chef for every question we had) and wine menu ("I'm not a winer drinker but I'll give you a list that describes the wines"). I'll chalk it up to staffing challenges that many small businesses are facing... If they can fix the service staff issues, this would jump to 5 stars.

Had a wonderful lunch at the Bistro. We were riding by on our way towards Chemainus and took the detour along Cherry Point Road. Well worth the diversion! Also a handy socket to recharge our eBikes during lunch. The beet salad was extra special and quite satisfying.

Nice place good wine but pricy compared to others in area

A good place with black and green grapes and Sep is the perfect season to see grape harvest and making. Has a small bistro but open only summer and fall. An old welcoming couple own and has a good own farm wine tasting room.

We had a lovely lunch at the Bistro including their sparkling wine. Beautiful setting and excellent service. We also purcahsed wines to bring home. Highly recommend.

Great experience! Dinner & wine with friends was top notch.

Spectacular wine tasting experience

Very good host owner. Excellent wine selection.

Highly recommend visiting this one. Fantastic wines and knowledgeable staff, will come back!

Beautiful place but the wine was not for my taste.

Beautiful estate! The wines reflect the owners’ passion for the land. The bistrot is authentic and elegant. A unique experience you don’t want to miss out on!

Xavier and Maria are wonderful hosts, great wine, and food, all in a scenic vineyard patio.

Very knowledgeable and passionate owner. Our tasting was fantastic fantastic we really enjoyed the walk through with each wine. We all took home a few bottles and we hope we can get more from back home.

Never been to a winery before but if they are all like this establishment will definitely be frequenting them more. Has a beautiful yard and reception area the the wine tasting was very professional and helpful.

Maria was absolutely the best, even when dealing with two sweaty cyclists. The Sparkling Rose was just the refresher we needed, and (of course) the blackberry dessert wine and port are must-trys!

Very friendly and informative Columbian hostess/owner. The Whites we tried and Rose were mine and my wifes preferred tastings. If I remember correctly, they have approx 23 acres of orchards and 20 different grape varieties growing. With pride, they are, currently, the only true Estate Vineyard on the Island, providing all their own grapes in house.

Rude french man working here hung up on me

Great everything! Wine, food, location... Vancouver Island sucks! :P

Great staff. Went in after work (dirty) was still treated professionally. Very nice venu beautiful views.

I want to buy this place! Awesome peaceful land. And the wine is exquisite... to dream

Incredible wine. Probably the best wine north of California and the Pinot noir is the closest thing to Tempranillo I’ve ever had in a North American wine.

beautiful setting and the owners provided the tastings to us

Family-owned winery. The Estate vineyard is one of the largest on Vancouver Island. Owner Xavier is very passionate and knowledgeable about his vineyards, the soil and the climate. You’ll find both Xavier & Maria (his wife) hosting tastings in the Tasting Room. Cherry Point Bistro is open seasonally for casual lunches. You can dine outside on the spacious patio or inside in the garden pavilion. Make sure to see the pavilion’s hand-crafted wooden doors. Ample parking, lovely tasting room.

Living across from the Winery has always been a lovely experience. Especially when I'm out enjoying the fresh summer air, and look over to see a nice person in a hazmat suit spraying chemicals on such a breezy day.. (:

This place is beautiful and amazing, the wine is of the highest quality and the staff is great!!! Looking forward to see Javier (the owner) again!

High quality, well made wine including a delicious blackberry port! One of the original wineries in the Cowichan Valley, very knowledgeable. Beautiful property.

A unique experience! We dropped in on the weekend for a tasting without a reservation. The owner quickly came out from another tasting group inside and said it would only be a few minutes and went back inside. It actually was only "a few minutes" which was nice and were brought in for a tasting with another group. The owner presented the wines and is clearly proud of his products. The tasting was quick but interesting and we ended up buying the "four year old pinot noir". We hope to return soon and try the restaurant as well.

Very distinctive, unique varietals, in a lovely setting. The owner personally picked us up at the marina and drove us the short distance to the tasting room describing the vineyard and area. Try the Ortega and Coastal Whites. The Forte is a Argentinaen-like red, another stand out. The Bistro serves excellent salads, pasta and soups. Make an afternoon of it, we did.

Gem of a winery nestled in Cobble Hill down a country road.. Maria one of the owners is a kind down to earth lady with informative wine knowledge and makes you feel right at home. My fiance and I will be having our small wedding here and we can't be more excited ???? The winery should be on your to do list if your visiting the area

(Translated) Because a friend advised me. He said that vinerea is super (Original) Потому, что мне посоветовал друг. Он сказал, что эта винерия - супер

This winery is an excellent stop as part of a tour of wineries in the area. The proprietors take a very personal role in presenting the tastings. Of course wine is personal preference, but there is probably something for every palate here.

We spent the weekend going to wineries—this one was by far my favourite!

Excelent wine superb service.

We were kicked out because my kids were too loud for her. What a place! We will make sure to let everyone know that you do not welcome families. My kids were just there for 2 min.

Personal experience. Unless you want to feel bad for not liking her wine, don't go here. The owner is very defensive and offended if you don't like her wine. Skip this place.

Always love visiting this place. Great people - great wine

We used Cherry Point Estate Winery as a wedding venue for our daughter recently and would highly recommend it for a small wedding. The owners Maria & Xavier were wonderful to deal with and they made our day extra special! Thank you for all your assistance in making it stress free and a wonderful experience!

Great wines! Enjoyed the tasting with Xavier and learning about the wines.

Old school estate winery. $5 tasting fee for 5 samples (2 white, 2 red and 1 dessert). The wine was not memorable and just not my cup of tea.

Lovely surroundings. Good food

Excellent spot for lunch out on the patio! Great food, informative wine tasting and very accommodating service. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.

Wonderful staff delightful wine.

Good wines and the owner is a great character

We arrived with for a bridal shower and was served by arlana I believe her name was. We arrived at 2:35pm at 3:19 we recieved our wine with no apology and food was delivered 5 minutes later. There was 3 servers but only 2 tables so it was very disappointing for our party to have such slow delivery of our drinks. We also asked for suggestions on a wine choice and said we preferred shiraz’s our server didn’t know what it was. When the food arrived at the same time as drinks everything came out at once meaning we sat with starters and mains in front of us quit cluttered. We also informed the gentleman at the bar the women’s lock was broken he said “tell Maria” which we have no idea who that is. The not saving grace was the food was good but I can say from being a hospitality manager It had to be the worst service I have seen and if I was a manager I would be EXTREMELY embarrassed.

This was the worst place to taste wine, they are so un-social, and cheaper ,and didn't even describe the wine ,just pointed to a piece of paper, was NOT a good experience at All!!!!!!

THE RESTAURANT WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT....PERFECTION. FOOD AND SERVICE .....FIVE STAR.

We tasted wine at the winery, but were rather dismayed to find out that in spite of the fact that our party of 4 bought 4 bottles of wine, we were still charged a $7 tasting fee, for a meagre serving of only 4 wines. Coming from the Okanagan, we are able to avoid the tasting fee if we buy wine, and we are usually given a taste of at least 6 wines. The tasting fee of $7 per person is way too high for the small amount of wine we were given to taste, and essentially raised the price of each bottle of wine to a level that is above the standard of the wine. I might buy the wine again, but certainly not at the winery.

Big shout out to Jeff!!! He was very welcoming, full of life and knowledge. He was super professional with a twist of wit. Unlike the owner that reprimanded him in front of a room full of patrons. We felt it was unnecessary and in poor taste! For that reason only I would never go back or support this local????
