Wonderful staff, excellent wine, beautiful relaxing ambience. Not only did we enjoy the tasting and happy to take home a few bottles but discovered very talented musicians! Genevieve and the Wild Sundays! On tour now but if you get a chance pick up one of their CDs. Beautiful melodies that pair perfectly !

Thanks to the incredibly talented staff and visually stunning estate itself, our anniversary celebration together was nothing short of magical. From the sampling explanations, to the property history lesson, the wines, the local foods, our experience was outstanding. Everyone was so warm, inviting, friendly, and thanks to some great owners.... seemingly genuinely engaged and happy to be there. The main buying itself is an architectural masterpiece, and demonstrates the utmost social responsibility with it's LEEDS standards. If you are reading this review, please understand we have spent our lives in the Okanagan wine country, and were very eased to find this gem on the island. If you haven't been yet ...... just go. If you are looking for an event venue, book them.

Thank you! Again, the staff at Blue Grouse have gone above and beyond to ensure that our visit exceeded all expectations. Half our party was stuck in unexpected traffic jam - our tasting was put "on hold" and graciously repoured upon their very late arrival. Sorry this is late!...We loved Blue Grouse winery! We went in summer of 2016. The wine tasting for my husband was great as he loves his red wines. I stick to white and still had a great selection. We chose a box of artisan crackers and an awesome cheese wedge nice n soft and hint of spice.. so fantastic. (we got a cheese knife lent to us from BG). We sat out on the sunny balcony and enjoyed looking over all the perfect vines! Will be going again for sure

This winery has the best view in the Cowichan Valley. My wife and I went on a hot sunny Sunday. The hostess poured us a couple of samples as we were undecided about what glass to purchase. Then we sat on couch outside with our wine and cheese board and relaxed. The atmosphere was laid back and unpretentious, yet upscale and clean.

Very nice place to visit and know about the process of the wine, even that they specialize in white because of the geographical location of the city and the type of grapes that they produce as well as the environment in which they are grown. Red wine is also produced but is not their specialty. The only not comfortable thing is that for tours that go from Victoria, is about an hour away and depends a lot on the traffic because the road is under construction and the speed limit that they have to follow, can generate delays due to the traffic. About 50 minutes from the Victoria Cruise Terminal.

The service on the day of was timely, friendly, and all were impressed by the staff and their knowledge of Blue Grouse's exquisite wine. First off, we were on vaca in BC from Ontario. We showed up 25 mins before closing, they wouldn't let us do a wine tasting.. which ok, thats terrible, but whatever.. we drove really far to get there (travelled from Squamish BC to experience several wineries) so we asked them to serve us, as we wanted to purchase a glass of wine to then make a purchase of a bottle. They refused us service and told us its too close to closing time. really?? we're paying customers. we understood the place was closing, we were not going to stick around for a super long time. we explained where we're from and that we drove far as we'd heard good things and the person working simply kept nodding and saying "ohh.. ohhhh" and still did not serve us. so FYI to those visiting this place.. make sure you know their hours and clearly show up long before closing. SMH.

Views of the vineyard were beautiful. The tour was interesting and informative. We manged to walk around the rooms while it was pouring. The ambience was classy. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. They also had a lot of options to pick up gifts for wine lovers.

Blue Grouse Winery is an absolute must on your winery tour of Vancouver island. Recently renovated in 2015, the new wine tasting room is slick with a stunning balcony view overlooking the 8 acres of vineyards. The tasting itself is excellent value only $5 for 5 glasses. We were also treated to samples of their famous wine slushies. The staff are incredibly informative and knowledgeable on the growth and development of the vineyards on Vancouver island which serves as an excellent backdrop as you're brought their various wines.

We came in late for about 20 minutes before closure so I asked if they can accept us for a tasting. A young man received us pleasantly and he was knowledgeable with their wine. We like the white and red blend a lot so we bought some home with us. It's a very good price on their quality. Although we did not stay long but the patio and the indoor seating area looks very nice and comfortable.

In the heart of the Cowichan Valley, Blue Grouse Estate Winery stands tall. The view of the mountains last for days and the taste of wine on your lips will leave you wanting more. If I could spend every sunny Sunday afternoon here on the patio I'd think would be just fine.

Our visit to the winery was throughly enjoyable. We did a wine tasting in the Tasting Room and then purchased a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine to enjoy on the patio outside. Our visit also coincided with live jazz music being played. The Winery & Tasting room are very upscale.

We stopped here on our way to Tofino/ Uculet for a flight of 5 tasting. Katrina was kind enough to fit us in with a reservation, and she was incredibly knowledgeable! The vineyard is a beautiful 8 acre parcel, the large retail space and tasting area is constructed with sustainability in mind. The wines are vegan and organic, and all done with quality over quantity in mind. We both signed up for the Fan Club and are looking forward to our wines throughout the year!

Beautiful location and nice building. Need more covered tables so one doesn’t bake in the sun. Staff seemed disorganized when we order food. Came to the table multiple times asking what we ordered. Wouldn’t order “food” there again for the prices. Ridiculously overpriced for what you get... Sadly had to pay for the experience because was with family.. other vineyards locally have more filling menus and portions for less money.

Stopped by, parked, and saw the impressive grounds and building...from the outside. Wanted to have at tasting, but looks like you have to book a time ahead online. There was a line up of 2 couples ahead of us, but after 5 minutes of waiting, we were all still just standing there...so we decided to leave. From what i could see, there seemed to be lots of space available inside, but not sure what the deal was. Looks like life is getting a bit too complicated for doing things on a spur of the moment. The owner did respond to my review. Thank you and will try to book ahead on our next visit to Vancouver Island.

Had a great experience at Blue Grouse! We came for a little wine tour for a friends birthday, and out of the 6 wineries we went to- these guys had the best COVID protocols. We felt safe and cared for, and at the same time did not feel like we missed out on any of the experience. Thanks Blue Grouse! I’ve already been back twice since that first visit. ???? scenery is stunning, wines are amazing, and the history is rich.

If you are going to Blue Grouse I would make reservations for the 5 wine tasting. Our host Deborah was great... knowledgeable on the history of the winery and of the wines we tasted. We had the Rose strawberry slushy ice drink as well....amazing! During non-Covid times we have had their charcuterie plate along with our wine tasting. I would highly recommend this when it's offered again.

The winery has a beautiful tasting room \ guest building that gives you a nice view from the second floor. The tasting consisted of mostly non-estate grown wines which was unfortunate. But they were still tasty.

Stopped by last week in October for a wine tasting. Due to Covid we had to make a reservation which actually made the experience better. The Manager Pamela was very knowledgeable and helped us pick some very good wines in addition to our initial set tasting. Definitely worth stopping by again in the future!

What a beautiful property! It's absolutely stunning. We went for a tasting (5-wines) and ordered the charcuterie as well. Amazing. The wines were excellent as was the charcuterie board (so much so that I wanted to go out and buy the stuff to take home!). Alexandra was a terrific host. I fell in love with their wines. Hoping I can find them in Alberta!
