It's a cool underground country/rock bar in NDG. The beer is very affordable when you take pitchers of draught! Saw my friend Jamie and his band play a tribute to Grateful Dead there!

I wish this place got more love from us younger people but whatever. Owners are always accommodating and even let me host my dart tournament there for a small donation. It's nice hearing a live band and drinking cheap beer.

Negative ambience, dirty, low ceiling, wine-in-a-box, really poor lighting, broken bar stools and very low quality sound system. If you are looking for all of this with karaoke quality vocals this is the place for you.

I gave it 2 stars because the owner was nice and accommodating. He got us a place to sit where elderly people weren't bumping into me too bad, as well as kicked out the loud old drunk who was insulting me for "looking at him like he was canadian". The barmaid only got two of my drink orders wrong. The atmosphere was (to quote the comedians) that of her grandparents rec room or the belly of a pirate's ship. The musical talents of "Steve" were decent.

I came up with a friend from Ottawa for Monday (Hill Billy night) and stayed overnight. This was essential because the music went til 1 am. Amazing atmosphere and friendly people. We each did some songs. The band backs you and they make you feel invincible. Easily the best open mic experience ever for both of us. Jeannie was an amazing host and she plays and sings country like someone a third her age. In the later hours the young and talented perform. Gordon Lightfoot’s daughter Meredith Moon was among many inspiring performances by talented up and coming artists of the highest rank. Very inspiring and moving experience all around. There is a reason this has been going for 52 years. Very special.

A great little music bar place. The new owners ( Robert Scott and company ) are doing a great job. The local bands are all very talented. A great mix of rock classic to current music. The drinks here a reasonable price. Just the soda drink are a little over price. Only thing I wish they had food like popcorn or nachos. Small fingers food. It would be better than the small Halloween bags of chips. But overall is nice little local club to enjoy music.

Went on a Saturday to see the Vintage Wine oldies band. Even with new management and (minimal) remodeling, the place is still unpretentious and welcoming to a wide-ranging demographic, with unbeatable bar prices! This is the antidote to downtown nightclubs.

The proximity of the artists, because of the size and positioning of the scene brings a particular dimension to the show. The decoration also adds to the experience. It is a club that has won over its audience, as there seem to be regulars who have been coming for years and who are greeted (recognized) by employees in a warm way. (Original) Nous avons assisté à un spectacle du groupe véranda et le décor de ce club était parfait pour ce genre de show. C'est un mélange entre une cabane à sucre et un retour dans le temps. La proximité des artistes, à cause de la grandeur et le positionnement de la scène amène une dimension particulière au spectacle. La décoration ajoute aussi à l'expérience. C'est un club qui a conquis son public, car il semble y avoir des habitués qui viennent depuis des années et qui sont accueillis (reconnus) par les employés de façon chaleureuse.

Good show last night "One of these nights" at the Wheel an awesome tribute band to the Eagles they were fantastic but unfortunately people danced in front of us and we couldn't see the band anymore cause they're is no stage they should really put one up or move the tables up closer to the band and have people danse on the side just like it used to be at the old Wheel. Also long wait at the bar lack of staff otherwise owners are very kind drinks are inexpensive and very tasty! Very good value for the price $20 (including one drink )can't beat that!! Fun evening will be back but not for Live bands !
