Went there with my friend last night, I love the atmosphere,music was great???????? I took away a star because we were place at the table and nobody came back,no menu etc.And I was seated on a chair,that its back was broken.After signaling the bartender,he took care of us,he smile and laugh and made us feel welcome. This food is absolutely trash, The fried rice wasn’t even cooked properly one of the three piece fried chicken that came with my meal was missing a whole piece of meat on the bone and they give you exactly 3 pieces of plantain I did not enjoy the food here, usually I will never write a review about a place but this place was not up to my standards at all I was expecting better from a Nigerian restaurant.

L'EScape is a very nice restaurant. The food is amazing and they also have a buffet in the weekend so you can taste a little bit of the African carribean variety they are offering. The place turn out in a lounge late in the night and the music is nice. The staffs are nice , and they have a very good customer service. I'm from ottawa and I really like my experience:). Before going there myself, family and some friends and their family called and the autommated answer said 2pm and we got there around 2:20pm only for the lady to tell us to go outside in the sun with children till 3pm. Visiting Montreal from Toronto after a long time, and L'escape did not disappoint! The food was great! If you are looking for Authentic African food, great music and vibes, you have to check it out. Poor service. They don't accept card payments, only transfers and cash. On top of that, they don't have an adequate amount of change when you pay cash. Salad that came with the fried rice wasn't fresh at all.

Terrible delivery service .called four times two days in a row .left me on the phone for more than 5min .went to the restaurant and had rice all smelt bad and tasted stale . Vegetable the same .not fresh .the reason I gave a two is cos their peppersoup was really nice and hot.i won't be going there again though. update .I went there and the owner apologised on behalf of the employees and was eating there consistently for 4 days in a week for about 3 months
