Slow! Waited 1 hour to receive just the entree. Food was bland. Waitress was apologetic saying the kitchen was swamped by extra people on the patio. Mind you, restaurant on the inside was at best 50% capacity. Not worth the wait.

Very bad service. Empty restaurant. Servers name was Cory. Forgot our app didn't refill drinks steak looked like it was wicro-waved tasted worse. That was a 100$ bill I won't get back. Won't be returning or spreading the word about this diying restaurant.

Visited before supper rush with no reservation. Promt service from a very polite and genuine server called Cory. He did take the time to explain why the menus were paper and I appreciated that because of my restaurant manager background, I was totally judging that. His appearance was good, knew all the answers, provided good time for review of menu and removed all utensils by the time dessert came(pet peeve of mine)... Also my seafood linguine was absolutely stellar. My moms salad was interesting and delicious.

Good foods I can say but terrible service! I was so excited for my first time there then got so disappointed with the service. It was the first time I fell asleep while I was waiting to get serve and waited for the server to come up to us. I ended up skipped to order dessert even I really wanted to try, I gave up. You could pay attention to the customer who just walk in, greet them, get their drink and what they would like to order first then tidy up the table that already eaten and got all they needed.

A Hotel Restaurant but separate from the main building. The interior décor is modern but comfortable. The bar is divided from the fine dinning area where dinners either can be seated at tables or bench/booth style seating. Dinner Menu offered selects of meat, pasta or fish dishes and minimal but adequate wine list. Staff very pleasant and knowledgeable about preparation of meals. Our choices were risotto and tuna. Both were excellent and the presentation of the Tuna was lovely and came correctly sliced, showing the center a delightful pink tone. The only criticism, I would have preferred to have had the salad with less dressing. Two adult meals with wine expect to pay $80.00 to $100.00

Marni was a super server! We took a break off the 401 and enjoyed a terrific meal (shrimp appetizer, filet mignon main perfectly prepared (thanks Dave!)). Sadly we missed desert as we went back on the road. Highly recommended and we’ll plan that break from future travel.

Unfortunately what was a good place really has dropped. Service the biggest as with 5 on the floor and 19 folks at 6 tables no good reason that service times for a single medium stake meal with no desert nor coffee should be so long that not only wail of 30 minutes between salad and steak main dish but 3 other tables 2 just before and 1 later with more elaborate prep and far more dishes as well as dessert were paid and out the door when the steak arrived, tepid and cold before could be finished 11 min later. Seriously not a good 60$ dinner experience. As an aside, the parking signage seriously deficient and their main sight on a Saturday Night not even lit and visible... perhaps why was so empty

Phenomenal experience. Shannon and Megan made our experience. It was an absolute pleasure talking to them throughout the night. The food was delicious. I definitely would recommend the pistachio crusted lamb. The presentation of the meals was clean and each dish was flavourful and filling. This is an intimate, family-owned restaurant and they show their passion through the details seen in the presentation of the meals and the restaurant itself. The night was well worth the higher prices. Service is purposefully slowly timed so that you appreciate the experience rather than dine and dash. Can't wait to go back.

I have been two Eight Zero Zero twice so far and ordered steak both times. Unfortunately, I (along with a few other people who ordered steak at the table) had to send it back both times because they were overcooked. For the price, I would suggested going somewhere else for a nice evening. I hoped it would be better the second time but it wasnt. Nice atmosphere though. FYI its pretty creepy when the owner then finds you on Facebook to send you a message about your review. Wasn't a bad message at all but still weird.

We took a detour on our 8h drive to go to this restaurant only to be told that the kitchen was already closed at 9pm when it says online and on the door that they close at 10pm. Waitress said they usually close early on Sundays... well then why not change your advertising!? Shamelessly wasting people's time. Place was pretty empty and snobby, so was the reception. This says a lot about how they consider their customers - other than for their $$$. Customer service not at the level of their presumption and prices.

Went for the Valentine Menu on a Saturday night, extra tables because they knew they would be busy, and extra decorations to make it cozy. Even still, service was speedy and very friendly - the food came in a timely fashion. We ordered fillet mignon, and a NY strip loin and it was very well prepared; and also delicious. On par with price I would expect for a meal like this. I would recommend you check it out for yourself, bon appetit!

What an amazing find in Cornwall. Recently in the area on business and came across this spot. The music was good, the ambiance was very nice and the food was delicious. Highly recommended if you're visiting Cornwall. The braised lamb was absolutely cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with an extensive wine list.

Stopped here for charging my Tesla. First time here and I ordered the mushroom papperdeli. It was vegan, and tasted fantastic. If I had to describe the taste I could easily compare the flavour to umami. My server, Krysten, was awesome. I prefer Jazz over the 80s classic rock that was playing there. Other than that everything else was perfect.

The food was quite good, except for the Duck Confit, which was a little dry and with slightly burned skin. The only real problem was with the service. There appeared to be only one individual in the kitchen, both visually and with how slow it was to even get our appetizers. The waitress was mostly good though, given how slow the kitchen was and how few people were in the restaurant at 8pm, she could have been more attentive with refilling water and wine. She didn't even come to give us an update on the food delay. In contrast, at a run-of-the-mill family restaurant we were at a few days prior, which was packed at lunch hour, our server came to tell us our food would be slightly delayed because of a large party whose order had gone in just before ours. He even brought us off-menu tortilla chips and salsa to keep us sated until our food arrived. No apologies or even mention of the delay. And with the number of tables packed into the small space, I imagine it would be a nightmare if the place was more than half busy. I left a decently sized tip despite this, as it was clearly more the fault of the kitchens than the waitresses fault, but she only gave a mere "thanks" upon seeing the amount. It seemed completely ungrateful, especially for someone who wasn't that busy and paid us fairly little attention. For the price, find another place. It's not worth your time.

I wasn't impressed what so ever. Service was good but my steak was a bad cut. Chewy tendon parts. Hard to cut. Hard fat parts. Vegies & mash potatoes were good. I can't say there is much in Coberg, but a little more effort of the meat selection whould of made a world of a difference. It's a steakhouse after all. I wouldn't go back no. I'll stick to shoeless Joes.

Food was okay... i thought this was going to be a good high quality steak house but no... veggies were frozen veggies steak was little over cook and they even pour some kinda sauce on my steak???? Like why leave my steak alone and the patato were on the cheap side..anyways beautiful place but for the money people pay they should give nice fresh ingredients and have more pride in their meals. Gave 2 start because location was clean and nice great for drink but wouldn't ever buy their food.

Nice restaurant but there are some issues - flies I went for a lunch and flies were on my table as well as around my food. I asked the waitress and she acknowledged they had a problem with flies for a couple of days. First of all flies in the restaurant - anyone considered bacteria from them. They sit on your food ,- I am not even sure if they did not sit on mine during preparation The restaurant should take this seriously The food - warm steak salad was presented very nicely and steak was really good - salad on the bottom little bit sogy but was still good. Nice setting and decorations but I did not get big TV screens. Is it bar or a restaurant ??? I would give higher score but because of flies I do not even think that 2 is a right score.

When to service we will come back .... slow and simply bad. The discount on the bill does not redeem a bad experience. (Original) Ils ont tout mis dans le décor! Si je pouvais donner 0 etoiles je le ferais. Mon ami a retourné son steak 2 fois et ça ressemblait à un steak de bas de gamme d'épicerie. Le miens... Correct sans plus. BEWARE OF DUCKS Please be advise that the ducks in Cornwall have an anatomy different than anywhere else in the world. This past Sunday, I ordered the “Duck Confit” for $32 which from the menu indicates that you would be receiving half a duck, leg and breast. When I received my plate to my astonishment, my plate was garnished with two legs (please see photo). I immediately reminded my waiter that I should have a breast not an extra leg. He was stunned, we showed him the menu indicating what was promised and he couldn’t tell us which leg was the breast. He quickly vanished to serve the other guests and I continued eating my dish which was excellent. When I observed that he was available, I reminded him if he could do something regarding the false advertising of the menu. He didn’t know how to address my complaint and left for the kitchen. He returned with a sealed prepackaged half duck and shared with us that this was the serving that I received. I reminded him again that 2 legs can be advertised as half a duck but where was the breast. He retreated back to the kitchen. A few moments later, another waiter came to our table sharing with us that the owner/cook was terribly upset of questioning his menu and that in conclusion we would agree to disagree. WOW, I call that exceptional client centered service. I have had duck several times, in Ottawa and often on numerous trips to different cities and NEVER have I received this type of breast; you have been warned, DUCKS in Cornwall do not have breasts!

my husband did NOT enjoy his hamburger and left more than 1/2 on his plate. when the waitress asked how the meal was and he told her - her answer was 'it's the first time i've ever heard that' the other 3 of us had stuffed pork loins. all 3 were dry, overcooked and tough. perhaps they were pork chops disguised as loins? my coffee was burnt. the waitress was substandard. SO disappointing - especially for the prices charged. NEVER AGAIN

Definitely recommend this restaurant. This was my first visit. I had the 8oz filet mignon with a stuffed potato. The steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The potato was also great and even the veggies on the side were delicious. We finished it with a brownie for dessert. Supper was great. It is a bit pricey but for a special occasion it was perfect. We brought 2 children and they enjoyed the kids choices. The washrooms were clean and nice. Will be going again in the future.

This is the best resto lounge in Cornwall and area; very cool and swanky. We try and go every few weeks and always order a steak, although their pasta dishes too are quite delicious. The shroom filet mignon is my favourite and comes cooked perfectly with garlic mashed and I always get the marsala demi glace with it. The dessert martini list is extensive and my fave is the banana cream martini. Dessert is a must with the creme brule being our favourite. Service is always very attentive and professional. Thank you and will be back very soon!

Pricey - and not worth it. Group of six of us went last week to try a new place in Cornwall. People in the group had a wide variety of dishes on the meny- from vegetarian to filet. The food was at best average, vegetarian below average, filet slightly above average. However none of the dishes justified the food - the restaurant seems to cater to business people who stay at the Ramada next door and can charge their meal to an expense account. For the money spent, we all agreed that we expected better.

Great welcome to the restaurant, server was very good when taking our orders. Three of the four meals was great although my spouse didn't get his appetizer until after his main. But I had to send my meal back twice as it was made incorrectly. Not sure what happened and all of my company was finished their meals before I got mine but it was good. Only got a 25% discount on my meal and my friends at the table thought I should have gotten my meal for free. I ate alone so not the best experience.

Absolutely Horrible Service - my steak way over cooked, barely warm and very dry. I was left for 20 minutes before being checked on in spite of being one of only two tables my waitress was serving. I had to wait another 20 min for a properly cooked steak which was fine - it was in complete contrast to the first one. I had long finished the sides while waiting and the replacement steak was served on a side plate all by itself. I guess I was expected to enjoy my main course in separate parts spread out over an hour. There was no apology or understanding whatsoever. The waitress insinuated that I was the problem, not the steak. I wish I had taken pictures so I could show you. I had to track the waitress down again to ask for my bill and was eventually presented a with a full price bill. I almost didn't say anything but I'm glad I did. After justifying every aspect of the poor service and food, I found that I had to ask for the manager. I was kept waiting (again!) and was then accused of over-exaggerating. I wasn't. The manger didn't inspect the dry steak and did not even seem to be willing to do so. I upped my one star rating to two only because the last time the food was good. Beware! I strongly recommend you cancel your plans and head to Table 21 instead! After you irresponsible and inaccurate response, and acusation of fraud I will proceed with a libel case against you. I will also respond in detail to your accusations and comments when I have time. You clearly do not treat your clients well. What a horrible attitude you have.

Amazing food!! Been here a couple times already, most recently I had my wedding meal hosted here for 85 people and it was absolutely awesome. Service was great and I had all my guests raving about the food and drinks. The interior is very cozy with a beautiful fireplace and upscale decorations. Eight zero zero went above and beyond and it truly made my wedding memorable. We will definitely be back again!

By far the best place to wine and dine in cornwall. The staff is friendly and kind and knowledgeable of the area. I had a very nice and comfortable experience at this establishment I would recomend dining at this restaurant. Oh and I just love the sink in the bathroom

After travelling for two days in a row,We needed to have a decent meal.So we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice meal.We decided on Eight zero zero.First of all the ambiance was wonderful.We had nice drinks.Our appetizer was delicious.And we both loved our entree.Also we got our food in the order it is supposed to be served, not all at once, like you get at a roadhouse.We expected a much larger bill than we got.It was pretty much the same as you pay at most places.I have no idea why some people give mediocre reviews.Very friendly service as well.

We visited this resturant on Saturday 8th August 2020 and we were very impressed with the food, service and ambiance. I ordered a chicken raspberry salad which looked and tasted delicious and my husband ordered a pizza which was also very good. There were also good safety measures in place to deal with Covid. Overall we were very impressed and would highly recommend this resturant.

Not too excited. We ordered Seafood St. Jacques.. could not find any crab meat .our waitress was run off of her feet trying to serve 2 tables of 8 or more across the room, while we were on the other side. One waitress in our section had to serve only seven people. the onion soup was great, the dinner , well i don't know about the scallops. seemed a bit fishy and flakey, not like a scallop should taste.Also we found that it was very noisy. The high ceiling made for sound to bounce around the room, as in an Arena .Decor was very nice , but sound was not considered when the design was implemented

Pricey for what you get..steaks excellent , 2 bite lobster tail ok but extremely small. total lack of Christmas atmosphere..150 bill for two people , not including tip..a bit high for what we got..don't think will go back.

Arrived at 6:03pm, asked for check at 7:50, received check at 8:01 and paid at 8:30. The service was terrible. Mushroom soup was delicious and 2/3 of my New York strip loin was delicious, the remainder was gristle. The waitress asked me if I was finished with my meal noticing the remainder of the steak. When I told her it was gristle she said “Uh-huh”. I expect better for a $30 cut. No apology.

Terrible service and food! This was my first time at this restaurant and will certainly be my last. Shouldn't have to wait over an hour to receive our meals, which in the end was burnt and tasted like dish soap. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone- overpriced and cheap quality! Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
