Lovely vineyard in a special valley. Top wine too

Greg Cording

My wife and I got the tour as a Christmas gift and what an great gift it turned out to be.. The weather was amazing and we were given a fantastic tour by the founder who imparted the art of making wine as well as the years of toil and hardship he and his wife have put into the vineyard to make it was it is today an award winning producer of international recognition and standing. Highly recommended tour and the generous wine tasting is a must for any visitor to the area.. and we are certainly looking forward to returning next year.

Rhys Cutting

Loved it! I really enjoyed every moment! Worth another visit! :D

Andrew Edwards

I'm at the winery and they do small glasses to taste for drivers. Brilliant.

Max Taylor

Best vineyard in the area. Expensive, but worth it for the top quality wine and location!

Rode along the camel trail to the vine yard parked our bikes and walked in. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our seats, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and after several small glasses of their beautiful wines in this gorgeous valley we happily purchased every one of them. Well done guys.????

Jamie Aspinall

Brilliant place. Insightful, articulate & funny tour, delicious wines and great surroundings. So glad we stopped by...

geoff brimble

Very interesting. Great wine.

Jessica Pelling

Said fully booked on the sign on the way in but we were persistent and found the shop was open. Booking recommend for tours and tasting. Wonder how many shoppers turned round and left.

Matthew Berrill

Very relaxing hour spent sipping a lovely glass of British bubbles.

Jonathon Rhys Dryhurst Sturdy

Brilliant views over the valley with option to have a glass of wine overlooking the growing vines or take a tour. Excellent tasting wines!

Lyndsay Wilson

Worth a trip of in the area. Fabulous English wines and the 1 hour tour followed by wine flight is worth it if you've never done a vineyard tour before

Mark Lavington

Having been a fan of Camel Valley wines for a number of years my only regret about the Guided Tour is that I didn't do it before. It's a must do if you're in the area and have the faintest interest in wine making.

Really enjoyable afternoon wine tasting! The 'flight' wine tasting options are good value and both inside and outdoor seating has stunning views across the vineyard and valley.

Fran Masters

Lovely vineyard, the wines are beautiful to go with the view!! We did the tour and was great learning about the vineyard & their wines.

Nanette Senior

Great tasting wines

Mez Pahlan

Well worth the extra trek into the countryside. The sparkling wines are a must to try. If you can, take one if the wine tours add you will learn about the fascinating history of the company and how it started. Bonus points for their lovable dog, Carla.

Chris Grant

For £18 we sampled 9 wines on their sun terrace. Very pleasant. Would be nice if the served some local cheeses etc. Not the best English wines I've tasted but very palatable.

Amazing setting and incredible wine! The staff were super friendly too!

Carrabine Joinery Ltd

Beautifully kept, alot of hard work put in here, a real credit to them! :)

Beautiful terrace overlooking the vines. Essential to reserve in advance and tables are released not too far in advance which is fantastic, allows anyone to go with a tiny amount of pre-planning (and stops it being booked up months in advance like everywhere else seems to be). Would highly recommend as a stop on the return leg of the camel trail. Larger tables are put to the side and rear and unfortunately a little further back so you can’t actually get the same view but it’s still a lovely setting. We had beautiful weather and the wine selection is what you would want. One non-wine drinker with us could only have softies as no other alcohol option.

Jakub Socha

Great place!!! Best wines!!!

Jen Taylor

Could live off Camel Valley Brut...

Dale Anderson

Wow what an amazing place to stop. Wines are fantastic.

Pedro Benito Urbina

Camel Valley is the number one sparkling winery in England. They been producing award-winning, world-class wines in a beautiful corner of Cornwall for many years. This winery is in a idyllic setting on sun-drenched slopes near the famous Camel River; wher they can grow excellent grapes.

Heather “Hajax” Jackson

I love this place. It is really out of the way but worth the effort. My only criticism is that they don't offer food other than packets of crisps or nuts. It would be great for a lunch visit if only they offered a cheese board, olives or similar.

Ian Armstrong

Simply the best! Have known the Camel Valley team for many years and seen the winery and family business go from strength to strength winning award after award and quite rightly being recognized as one of the best bubblies around. Highly recommend the wine tour as well as the wine itself!

Jason Rawlinson

Bought my wife a case of wine (variety), we really enjoyed it

(Translated) Frankly it’s not bad for a difficult climate in the middle of Cornwall !! We preferred the cuvée de Annie en bubbles… (Original) Franchement c’est vraiment pas mal pour un climat tout de même difficile au milieu des Cornouailles!! Nous avons préféré la cuvée de Annie en bulles…

Have been a few times before and enjoyed a couple of glasses before purchase in a lovely setting, Passing by on the main road the other day saw the sign and were inspired to take the long and winding road so we could give our aged parents a nice treat. Big disappointment when we got there. Had to turn around and come back. COVID restrictions seem to have hit hard here so we sincerely hope things turnaround for them soon as normally it’s lovely. Maybe a sign at the end of the road would be good for those unable to surf the website while driving?

Ben McMinn

I went to this winery a long time back, 2005 to be exact, and am glad to see it's still thriving. Excellent wines and so great to see a British business doing well in this arena.

Don't go by bike unless you trust your bike lock, when you can't see your bike. The most unhelpful and unfriendly place we have visited for a while. I can't comment on the wines as we were unable to taste any unless we left our bikes in the flimsy racks a little way down the access path. It was a quiet Wednesday afternoon and we had politely asked if we could put the bikes somewhere we could see them, but to no avail. We were not welcome unless we used the bike racks. It's just as well there are plenty of other English wines I can still enjoy! At no time were we told about a tour about to start, nor were we offered anywhere to park our bikes where we could see them.

Debbie Gothard

Lovely glass of Rose Fizz for me and a glass of white for her ... both delicious

(Translated) The winery is tidy and seems to be geared up for events rather than individual visitors. There is a sunny terrace overlooking the vineyard where you can drink the wine bought at the counter (there are no free samples). You can also get a bag of potato chips or something similar. to buy. Well. Different types of wine are offered, but one should not ask the staff a question about the type of aging, the barrels, etc.: You do not get an answer, but the advice that you should look at it on the Internet. So, there are more charming wineries in the world that show more customer focus.

Jack Lahart

Stunning location with excellent wines. But not allowing dogs (even in the large grassy part of the terrace) blighted our experience

Nicholas Cotter

Very pleasant place to take a break from the Camel Trail.

Fergal Smithwick

Cool spot for some wine tasting only a short cycle ride from Wadebridge. The sparkling bacchus demi-sec was my favourite but I enjoyed trying them all with the tasting flights. Staff are very friendly and accomodating. We didn't have a booking but they found space for us for an hour

Mark Matthews

A stunning vineyard set in the beautiful Camel Valley. A well stocked shop and friendly people!

Gordon Cutting

Very enjoyable wines from vines grown in a simply beautiful location. Somewhere where, after enjoying a glass or two and some snacks on the terrace overlooking the vines, it would be all to easy to leave with one of everything.

Neil McArdle

Very nice place to visit with excellent staff and exceptional wine, the tour was very educational and well presented. We will definitely visit again.

Jessica Rose

It’s a shame they don’t do food. We were going to do the camel trail and stop for wine and lunch but didn’t. Some grazing boards would be a lovely addition to the wine.

Karen Werrett

Lovely afternoon well worth it thankyou to them all x

Tim Aslet

Simon Kent

Love their wines. Brought a couple of bottles today from a really cheerful and helpful man who opened the shop up specially. Great place!!

Kerry B

Louise Forrester

Great tour, lovely terrace with nice views with nice wine

Andrew Haddock

Great way to sample some wines and bubbles. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Even with covid rules a great experience.

Katie Beaton

Just perfect, English country garden feel, drinks right by the vineyards, friendly service. This was our second year here, will definitely be back thank you ????

Chris H

I booked our visit for a group of 17 and everyone had a brilliant time - I've already been asked if I could arrange to go again next year! The tour was interesting and the talk was informative & amusing. The highlight was the wine tasting - sitting on the terrace, looking out over the vineyard & surrounding countryside and drinking their award-winning wines was wonderful. It's great to see a local, family-run company being so successful and winning such prestigious awards.

Tracey Parker

Really lovely wine in fantastic location our only grip is the snacks in bags It would be nice to see some local produce provided as wealth of local suppliers for such things and would be good to see support for local produce rather than poor quality imported items

Owain Walsh

Agata Antepowicz

Good wine and lovely surroundings. However, beware: this place is NOT dog friendly! Dogs are not even allowed out of the car due to the resident retriever roaming about (who I assume must be aggressive towards other dogs).

Roger Cooper

Great location, excellent tour, learnt a lot...and that is after having visited many other wineries around the world

Amy Cromack

Awesome rose wine!

Andrea Layyous

The guided tour at Camel Valley Vineyard was certainly the highlight of our trip to Cornwall! Stunning views and delicious wine. We stopped off on the Camel Trail bike ride for a glass of wine. It was definitely worth the walk up the hill. We really enjoyed the pink sparkling wine on the terrace. We will definitely be back with the car so we can buy some wine.

Lovely friendly place. Be prepared for a steep walk down to the shop. It challenging on a scooter but fine coming back up.

Angie Syms

carolyn barton

Andrew Gadsby

Sadly no dogs allowed on site. There is also no car parking with any decent shade so no way you can even leave your dog.

Jamie Forrest

Loved our visit to Camel Valley winery early November 2015. Great tasting and thought the wines were excellent. The sparkling wines are great examples. But the wine of the day for my visit there was the Bacchus Dry. Fresh crisp white with great fruit on the nose and the palate with nice acidity. Definitely worth a visit, great setting.

Claire Kerridge

Brilliant tour and tasting session at the vineyards. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, no wine snobbery in sight! So interesting to hear the history behind the different wines and how the site has changed and grown over the years. A great experience and well worth a visit.

Aeryn Atkins

I just visited the shop rather than having the tour. Ample parking available, but you'll have to use the satnav to find it.

MARK ATKINSON

This place is amazing.! Set in the beautiful Cornish landscape, the terrace overlooking the vine covered slopes is the perfect place to sample some very special wines. If you like peaceful surroundings and beautiful wines, this is a.must for you.

Fiona Roberts

The wines are lovely and the view on a sunny day is stunning. There is rental accommodation available which looks fabulous and when we enquired it seemed very reasonable when you considered the surroundings.

Roslyn McMillan

Day 1 Neighbour presents me with a bottle of Bacchus Dry to try. Day 2 Husband and I drink some and love its clean taste. Day 3 Order a case and also 6 Brut. Day 4 Order delivered. What service! What wine!!

Robert Sims

Great service, ordered 12 bottles and received them within 24 hours. Thank you

James Carl

really relaxing day after cycling from wadebridge

Ian Pedley

It nearly killed us getting the bikes up the hill only to be confronted by petty signs such as 'no phones'/'no bikes' etc (who cares if you have a phone in winery?). They asked us if we wanted to sample some wine and then charged us..... They also want charge you for a tour! Dissappointing.......

Ingrid Hay

Lovely trip out to a beautiful location. Bob delivered a very interesting talk although I found it difficult to hear at times. Suggest Bob gets a small mic. Bought some of the delicious wines.

Vincent Lam

We've been to A LOT of vineyards and this is one of the best we've been to. The sparkling wine is delicious (bought more home than expected!), staff are friendly and the views are stunning!

(Translated) Camel Valley is an idyllic winery that is definitely worth a visit. If you stand above the vineyards and see the blooming rose bushes planted at the beginning of each row, you get the impression of being in France or Spain. You can sit in the shade on the terrace of the visitor area and try the excellent white wines. (The bottle-fermented cider is also excellent.) There are also holiday apartments on the winery.

Roz Pemberton
