This might be the worst service I received in all of Newfoundland. I've been travelling for a month along Canada's east coast and I never felt so ignored as I did at Boomstick in Corner Brook, NL. I arrived ahead of dinner service to avoid a waiting list and neither myself nor the party ahead of me was greeted. We had to stop a server for assistance since a sign asked us to wait for seating. Nobody asked for contact information as does nearly every other establishment in Canada. I needed to seat myself at the bar. Despite the clumsy bartender and multiple servers making eye contact with me from the drink station, not a single employee could bring themselves to say hello. I needed to stop the bartender from pretending to tidy the bar in order to get a drink. He barely acknowledged the request. To the brewery's credit, the beer was decent. I had a rosemary gose to start and a pale ale to follow. I wasn't offered water, though. I needed to ask for my second and final beer. I wasn't offered food but asked for the fish tacos. I got them about thirty minutes later as my second beer emptied. The tacos were dry. THE TAKEAWAY Bootleg Brewing Company is down the street. The beer is better. The lighting is better. The music better. The service is vastly superior. They also do $20 charcuterie boxes that are far more enjoyable than anything you'll find at Boomstick according to friends. They also have cocktails worth drinking, unlike the Boomstick. When in Corner Brook, head to Bootleg.

Excellent food, beers and cocktails. The building includes a a funky tap room and restaurant, micro brewery, and rooftop patio the gets great sun. The staff here was knowledgeable and super friendly! The food was tasty and unique. I hope more business like this open in Corner Brook!

The Beer is good, the black ale particularly was very tasty, the curry fries I had were good and the building and decor are nice, but the service needs work. I ordered a beer at the same time as 3 other people, when the beer arrived there were only 3 pints, I waited a bit thinking they just had to tap a new keg or something but after 5 minutes still no beer. When I went up to the bar I was told they were out of the beer I ordered and that's why it hadn't arrived. I was never told or asked to make another selection, the server walked by a couple of times and should have noticed I didn't have a drink. Later two of us ordered another half pint as we were finished our first and our partners still had about half left, by the time we got them the others had already finished. I think the issue was that the bartender was also running the cash despite a couple of servers literally standing around waiting for something to do. All staff should be cross-trained in all roles to avoid these issues. If my server had poured our beers he would have known I hadn't received mine, had an idle server been able to run the cash the bartender wouldn't have been tied up and we would have gotten our second round in a more timely fashion. I suppose it's more of a management issue than anything else.

Terrible meal had reservations for 9:30 got food at 11:25. Ordered eggs Benedict soft eggs. Got hard. About 2 tablespoons of sauce and hash browns that were reheated from day before. First and last meal at this restaurant.

Tonight they had live entertainment and he was quite good. The food was incredible. Even though my favorite dish was only on the lunch menu, they made it for me anyway. Friendly staff and amazing food. The beer is quite nice too. Definitely try the "Why Burn".

What a fantastic place for atmosphere, great service, good food, and of course, great drink! Our server was Annie who is an absolute joy to talk with and it was clear she, and the other staff, are knowledgeable and proud of the brewery. Annie recommended we purchase a flight of 5 samples of their craft - we chose Double Daylight, The Webber, One Can, Lone Flamingo, and 'The Drawing Board' which changes with what they are experimenting with at the time. This is a great way to sample and a great price to boot! On top of the drink, their appetizers are really good and fresh! We had the soft pretzels and risotto balls (thank you Mike for the recommendation!) that came out piping hot and were so flavourful with the sauces. Highly recommend you should stop here when you're in Corner Brook!

Service and ambience was excellent. Tried two beers and both were the quality of poor homebrew. Bitter Bird had a harsh medicinal taste and the hefe tasted salty(?) And skunky. Both undrinkable, sorry to say.
