Beautiful location, a variety of wines and a great wedding venue
Very good wine, food, and cocktails
Wine tasting was awesome. Faith was knowledgeable and super friendly. Can't wait until we go back for wine and FOOD.
Yesterday I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this hidden gem. The owner Caroline was welcoming and warm, I felt immediately at home. As I explored the beautiful grounds they were preparing for a wedding, it was so elegantly set up something you would see in a dream. From there I ventured into another building where you can sample the winery and distilled flavours. It was here that I met lovely Faythe, she was a ray of Sunshine and knowledgeable beyond compare with all of the products, I felt as if I was chatting with an old friend thank you Faythe, miss you already???????? The Charcuterie platter was delightful and paired nicely with my taste testing. Bottom line “Ripples Estate Winery” is a must see! Thank you for a lovely afternoon and see you again in August. ???? Sincerely, April
Ripples Winery was bustling last night but we were seated quickly and received excellent service all evening by James and the rest of the staff. The cheese boards were AMAZING and the drinks were EXCELLENT. I will be highly recommending to all my friends and clients.
Excellent service and environment
It's far but worth the drive. The ambiance is fantastic. Great place to visit with friends or family. Their cocktails are next level. You feel like you need to try them all. The food selection was nice and all items were quite tasty, especially the meat balls. The bacon infused old fashion is a must. All the cocktails are very fancy and have a great presentation. I would highly recommend to visit. Seating can be limited so book in advance.
Was just here yesterday ! Also dont know why people where complaining about service had several people serving our table. Had amazing service. Was an amazing atmosphere. Loved the amazing selection of drinks. Highly recommend coming here ! Cant wait to come back !
Great experience. Tasty, tasty.
I had the BEST time!!! Josie and Annie were lovely! Beautiful greenery I loved the vibe. Our server Josie was lovely and gave me great drink and food recommendations. Annie was also very kind. Loved it and will be coming back:)
Fabulous service, beautiful patios, relaxing! We stopped here for wine tasting and had a great time. The place is very cozy and beautiful. Due to Covid, there were many people so it was quite peaceful. Wines and spirts were good for Abbotsford quality. Their charcuterie was delicious! Our kids finished it in no time! Must visit for a relaxing afternoon lunch. Wine tasting was free.
To celebrate the loosening of covid restrictions a group of 9 people from our condo decided to go for a lunch at Ripples. The ambience is beautiful we were surrounded by gardens and koi ponds. The staff took very good care of us. They were knowledgeable, funny and attentive. We had a wonderful afternoon sipping on wines and spirits and feasting on some very tasty foods. We all plan on coming back again.
Wonderful ❤️ and beautiful ????.
Another amazing date night at Ripples! The service, food, atmosphere, and cocktails are always amazing! We tried two of their newest drinks this evening and were not disappointed! Our server Sophia was super friendly and attentive; and offerrd suggestions and insight on the choices we were wavering on, she was awesome! I can’t say enough good things about this place - we love it here!! ❤️
One star experience. Already spoke with the owner about it. Thanks.
The place is so beautiful and the drinks were so goo BUT when we got to our table no server came To us to grab our order or anything, after 15-20 min someone came to bring us water and we tried ordering with her thinking she was our server and she just left while we were talking to her mid sentence. We then waited another 15 min until I flagged down someone from another table to grab our order. After the first order I never saw the server again, they apparently changed our server 30 min later without notice and she came once to tell us that and then didnt take our order, I tried flagging her down again and she simply ignored us, I tried calling other servers and they simply said “I’ll bring her over” but no one came to us. Eventually I just went up to the bar to order and over 5 different people came to our table but none of them were apparently our servers?? We tried ordering deserts for the kids and they said it had alcohol in it and when we asked if they had the option to not put it in they said yes we do, but when they brought the desert it had so much alcohol in it and then a 6th person came to us to let us know there was alcohol & we got confused because they said they could do it without alcohol? I had to go back and order our food and drinks to the bar because no one came to us again, I spoke to the manager and she was super kind and she noticed that our drinks that we ordered over 45 min ago weren’t even punched in by the server. When it came to our bills we asked to split evenly by 6 and they said we had to deal with it at the front. I borrowed a pen and paper and wrote down all 6 bills so that it would be easier for the cashier. When I went up to the cash with the note she completely disregarded it and when I tried explaining it she said u should’ve written it down and I said it’s right here but she proceeded to ignore me and say I was wrong.. After two people paying didnt tip she sarcastically said “it’s very obvious you didn’t enjoy ur time here” and I said no I didn’t and I very calmly explained our situation and there was no concern for it whatsoever, the lady then started accusing us of ordering incorrectly and didn’t apologize or even try to be sympathetic about the situation. While I’m talking she then looked towards my mom and said “I can tell ur the nice one out of the bunch.” As people of colour coming in here we noticed right away what u had to look like to get good service and it wasn’t us. I loved the atmosphere and the food and drinks but the service was so bad I had to cancel two other tables I got for next week.
(Translated) It is a small winery near Vancouver. I can taste tasting, because there are not many people compared to other wineries. The number of wines that can be tasted was large. It was probably 7 types. If you buy wine, there is no tasting fee, but if you don't buy it, you have to pay $5. There is also an event hall inside the winery, so you can rent a place for an event. Also, there is a simple botanical garden inside, making it a great place to visit.
If I could I would give this place a 10 star review....I would!! The atmosphere was amazing the service was amazing and the drink menu was out of this world. We love the place so much that we made a reservation for a next week!!
The most amazing venue and we were treated like gold as this family rolled out the red carpet for my husband and I for our 30 year vow renewal. As I battle cancer this was a beautiful kind and generous thing as they went more then the extra mile for us. It was like a magical place , the decor, the lighting, table settings, music and atmosphere. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Ripples winery....we feel renewed in so many ways and Caroline and her family made that possible for our situation..we felt as though we were in Greece.....beautiful and authentic.....we thank you and your staff....Doug and Susan
I had no idea this place was here although I live nearby. The website doesn't have their menu so I was pleasantly surprised to discover they had food and a huge list of really unique (and cool!) cocktails. They did have some vegan friendly food (a plant based charcuterie board, chips and salsa, and sometimes the soup of the day is vegan). I had the carrot ginger soup and it was really good. It came with a warm baguette that was also delicious. My cocktail (blueberry lavender fizz(?)) was also really good. The tropical room is really nice; filled with plants, and koi ponds. A friendly dog wanders around which I liked but anyone with allergies or fears may want to be aware. My only real complaint was that the staff wasn't very attentive. I didn't see anyone when I came in, but I was meeting friends so I just went and found them. They already had drinks and it took a long time for the server to come by so I could order. When we ordered food, half of it arrived quite a bit before the rest. Then my other friend's food came but not mine. Eventually the server wandered over to see if we needed anything else and I had to point out I still didn't have food. I would still go back in spite of the service issues though.
My friend and I showed up lastnight with out a reso but fortunaitly they had some no shows and were able to set us up with a stellar table. The service staff were pretty friendly, the owner even stopped to chat with us. We ordered based off our servers recommendations and were thoroughly impressed with the presentation of our cocktails. My favorite was probably this port that Paul the owner recommended called Aeon. Seriously loved the atmosphere, and liked that it wasnt overly loud even though it was a busy room. Everyone was pretty well spaced out and in their own nooks. The food was delicious and proper for the venue. I would feel comfortable bringing both a date or my mother here.
I went to Ripples Estate Winery/New Wave Distilling to celebrate my friend's birthday yesterday and I can confidently say that the service, ambience, food, and drinks all exceeded my expectations. Our server, Natasha, was very friendly and humorous. We did not have to wait long for food and drinks. Cocktails were delicious, unique and fun, especially their smoke bubble drinks. Wine and gin flights were perfect with the charcuterie board for two. I felt safe dining here as the tables were spaced out and all staffs were strictly wearing masks. I purchased two additional bottles of their wine as they are unique to their winery and cannot be purchased elsewhere (my favourite was Radiance!). Beautiful greenery and decor at the garden-themed cocktail bar provided a comforting feeling of home. It is very impressive that a family decided to create their own unique blueberry winery, distillery and cocktail bar using locally-grown blueberries. I highly recommend this beautiful winery/distillery for a casual hangout or a special occasion!
Come for the unique setting, stay for the friendly service and good drinks!
Our server Sophia was the best part of our experience and we loved everything else as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and drinks.
To everyone who believe in honest reviews. Disclaimer: I have never visited this place and definitely will never be visiting after reading people experiences at this winery. I have been reading people reviews who gave 1 star and in each single review the reply from the establishment hasn’t been towards improving the service. Instead, they are trying to justify and rationalize their staff behavior and not concerned what their customers faced and not even trying to improve the situation. Also, I am surprised on Narcity to be recommending this place. I lost some trust in Narcity too. I guess this would have been a paid promotion. P.S. - I was considering to visit this place with my wife, hell now I ain’t.
We stumbled upon this place today and we fell in love! The grounds were breathtaking, the food amazing, the cocktails delicious and the staff friendly and quick. We met the owner Caroline and thought she was fabulous! I'm glad I didn't read any of the reviews because our experience was Fantastic! We will be making this our go to spot for now on. We could not stop talking about how wonderful it was the rest of the day... told our friends, told the cashier at Saveon!
One of my favourites! Ripples makes some seriously amazing wines that are very reasonably prices and the winery is gorgeous
Such a beautiful place for a casual afternoon or a special occasion!
Kittens. The drinks, food, and atmosphere was wonderful, too. But......kittens.
great atmosphere, great staff
I picked up a lovely bottle of blue Berry port the other day and it was superb. Im going to be back for more. It was so good!
Nice place. Horrible service. Took more than 40 minutes to get a second drink order in and that was after we had to flag down another server? When trying to pay the tab at the end. Waited in line 10 mins to pay. Get my turn at the counter and the host says he'll be back in a minute. As he was falling all over a couple of people who showed up with no reservation. But seemingly they must have been super important I guess. So now another 8 mins pass and he never comes back. Had to flag down someone else to come and take money. In the 2.5 hours we were there we only were able to get in one second drink order. We had 1 panini sandwich and 1 cheese board to share. 3 alcohol Drinks and one none Alchohol beverage. This was over $80 and then to get pushed aside when trying to pay. We have been here a couple of times before and service wasn't the best but tonight was the final straw. WILL NOT BE BACK!! To Ripple Estates I can only say????
Had our reservation cancelled by text 45 min before we were set to arrive. No explanation included in the text and they don’t answer the phone at the restaurant after calling multiple times. Answering machine was even full, so we could not leave a message. Not a great experience for our first time checking it out. Probably won’t try going again. We will go to Lake Bottom Cider instead, we love their service and food/drinks.
Great venue and enjoyed menu items. A winery and distillery making gins and vodka was a unique experience
Lovely place. Kind staff. Loved their blueberry port wine selection. Bought 4 bottles.
Honestly, amazing. Not sure what could be done to make it better. Intimate settings, large space, great selection of food and drinks, and the blueberry wine is great. Well worth the visit.
Had an amazing experience tonight! Their in house spirits are delicious and the service was much appreciated thanks to Anna and Grace for recommending my cocktails!
Enjoyed the dessert wine at the Abby Roadside corn maze. We were told the winery is open to the public until 5pm and then closed (due to private event - wedding). Drove an extra 30mins and arrived before 4:30pm - walked around for 10mins and found the tasting room and it closed - disappointed. We were planning on buy a few bottles of the dessert wine.
Fabulous food and drunk in a comfortable and unique atmosphere
Nice atmosphere, tropical plants everywhere, excellent service. Amazing selection of cocktails. Not sure why people were complaining about poor service lately. We were served by 4 people, not sure if you can get the same anywhere else.
We had a fabulous afternoon at Ripples, the food and drinks were delicious, the atmosphere serene and yet Fun. The staff were helpful and seemed to really enjoy working in this environment. Go! You won’t regret supporting local‼️
So good! Awesome service! Beautiful location
Amazing atmosphere, stunning drinks and great staff. A favourite for sure.
The ambiance of this place was really nice. However the service was so disappointing that I don't think I'd want to come back. Our server forgot about our food, didn't apologize about it, and never checked in on us so we had to flag one of the servers down.
Such a fun experience! We sat outside in the shade and it was delightful. There are 2 greenhouse, covered spaces but the host said they can be quite warm with the sun. Service was good, food was lovely, wine and spirits were delicious. A worthwhile trek.
Beautiful location and delicious wines!
Wonderful spot for a date or an event. Been here for both and the service, drinks, and food is fantastic.
The owner did such a great job designing this beautiful place. It is just unfortunate that our waitress was rude and never put in our order... we had to flagged down another waitress to check in on our food after waiting for 40 mins. She couldn’t find our original order, but she was nice enough to put it in again and apologized for the delay.
Excellent food and service.
We had a great experience. Wine was great, food was delicious the cocktails are magical . Jocey and Any were super friendly and helpful .
The food and the atmosphere were great however our service was not. When we first got there the patio was not overly busy. There were many empty tables and sofas. We were seated at a very large table that is meant for a party of 6 to 8. We were two with two babies who sat in our laps. We ordered our food and the first server we had was really sweet.she was attentively checking in and making sure everything was good. About 45 minutes in we were assigned a different server ( without any notification ). The second server we had was beyond rude and we essentially were asked to leave. There were groups around us that had arrived before us and one group that arrived at the same time. After ordering about $100 worth of food and some wine we tried to order some desert for out little guy. When I asked our server if they had cake or anything similar she responded in a very snarky dismissive manner with "no, were not a restaurant ". I asked what other deserts they had and was told tirimisu but that's not for kids.... upon further looking at their menu I saw they had a desert platter for two... Then we asked to order some cocktails. Our server said we actually need your table for larger groups and your hour and a half slot is done... but yet all other tables around us were still ordering food and drinks and were not asked to leave. I also over heard her chatting with the table behind us and she was also rude to them as well when they asked her a question her answer was short and dismissive and came off as very rude. We were told to pack up our stuff and go to the front to pay. We proceeded to the front wine store are to pay and had to wait an excessive amount of time because the girl at the cash register was brutally slow. After waiting with two upset babies we finally paid and left with a sour taste in our mouth. If it hadn't been for the awful attitude of our second server and the wait time to pay I would have rated them four stars.
Response to owners reply: It's really too bad this is your response to my first experience at your establishment. Based on how you have responded to myself and others who gave negative experience responses, you seem to be unable to take criticism and literal ownership of the things which could make your business have far less negative reviews. There is always an excuse trying to place blame on the patrons. However, if there is a positive review, you add smiley faces and thanks for coming. Your response further proves my point of why I will not be returning, and guarantee I will be telling more than just 3 people about my overall experience. Customer Service and all that entails, is clearly not yours or the establishments strong suit. Have a wonderful day! :) Drove over an hour in hwy 1 traffic last night to experience a winery for the first time. What an epic fail! To say we were both disappointed is an understatement!! We had to wait about 15mins to be greeted at front. Our server came to table right away, however, was not interested in actually being at work or actively listening to us as we ordered or asked menu questions. Her eyes were glazed over and zoned out on scenery behind us. During our visit, we had to ask other servers walking past, for our server. When I received the drink I ordered, it did not look as the menu photo, and certainly did not taste as description promised and vodka tasted very low grade brand. I asked if I could try another, as I was not going to drink that one. Yup, what would you like...When manager (assuming) brought me the new drink, she was very condescending and rude about giving me this drink, as if it was somehow my fault for not liking the first and it not tasting / looking as menu promised. Second drink was "on the house, but you are paying for the first". Okay, but I didn't drink more than 3 sips of it...makes sense. The first was 12.50, and second was 8.50. When asking the why to our server, I was told "ya, cuz they already made everything" and that this was the policy. Okay.....sure...My second drink was also just sub-par; didn't drink more than half of it. The food was okay, I guess. Nothing to write home, ravving about. There were black flies EVERYWHERE! We spent our visit swatting flies away from our food and person. Had to use restroom, and same thing, flies EVERYWHERE! Felt like I was in an outhouse! Bathroom was also unsatisfactory -dirty, toilet paper and paper towel on ground in stall. As well, paper towel was spilling out of garbage at sink. They are dog friendly, which is great. However, they did not have the Barcuterie board or anything left for dogs. We called specifically to ask about dog friendly, knowing of menu item and they did not mention getting low or running out. Poor dog was going crazy being constantly attacked by flies too :(. Overall, would not ever recommend Ripples Winery and will certainly NOT be returning. Service, quality of product, and atmosphere were all a great disappointment. My 1 star, is because I cannot go lower on here. Waste of money and time.
Fantastic and very romantic place. Food was good and the blueberry wine was delicious. We had amazing service by friendly staff. Highly recommended checking this spot out. They do wedding too. Beautiful place for your wedding.
I came here with 3 of my girlfriends and we enjoyed the aesthetic of the winery for photos. However, if you're looking for a good charcuterie board, this is definitely not the place to go. It was overly priced for the minimal amount of food. I also think the presentation could've been better. See photos. I was also disappointed in the flight of wines, three of the 4 were blueberry wines which I felt like tasted like juice. We were not given napkins other than the one napkin with someones cocktail. There was also no small plates or any cutlery for our appetizers (splitting amongst 4 people). I also wished that there was more education alongside of the wine flight to have more of a winery experience. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the dining in experience but the wine tasting experience could be different (being optimistic). Also, last thing I have to say is that if you're heading there from Abbotsford direction, there are no signs that point into the entrance and so you go into someone's driveway thinking it's the parking lot but really it's the next drive way with the barrels. Signage would be appreciated I'm sure!
Wonderful atmosphere and great staff! Our server Josie was super nice and attentive!
First time here. This place is next level. Wine, spirits, cocktails, BAM!! Wonderful experience.
If you’re looking for something to do this summer, I highly recommend checking out this winery. We went for lunch and it was such a nice treat. What I would recommend from the menu: 1. Charcuterie Board (perfect mix of meats, cheeses and crackers) 2. Artichoke Dip & warm baguette (gooyes cheesy goodness!) 3. The Carnival (for anyone who loves cotton candy - this ones for you! By far my favourite cocktail I’ve ever had!) 4. Strawberry lemonade (pretty refreshing and not as sweet)
Love their blueberry wine!
Amazing service, great food and drinks, dogs to say hello to and great ambience. Cannot wait to go back. Would definitely recommend the charcuterie board and the spirit flight, I am not a wine drinking but the wine flight was still good, the sparkling blueberry wine was my favorite. They were quite busy when we were there and the manager came to our table to check in on us about the wait but we honestly didn't even notice a delay in service. Amazing place to take your date and all my friends agreed "I would definitely say yes if someone proposed to us here" so ladies and gents go on a date here!!
A small winery with a wedding venue, just about 10 minutes from Abbotsford, they make their own wines and spirits, do not lose the chance to taste a few of them, most are a bit sweet with a blueberry taste, their spirits looks cute, have a unique taste, and the price is right
We made a reservation for 4 people for Wednesday, and while we were seated were told there was no bartender until next Wednesday so no cocktails. This would've been great to know wat ahead of time as we drove 1.5 hours to get there. The charcuterie board was good and the flights were good, the manager I'm assuming was not very friendly.
Beautiful property, pond supplies, plants, distillery, winery, pond, gorgeous wedding venue. Blueberry wine! Large variety of distilled alcohol. Great place! Charcuterie boards are also great and the secret garden to dine in is heavenly!!
absolutely fabulous!
Great place, great staff, great wine and spirits. Fun place to spend a few hours and do some tastings. They now have a license too!
One of my favourite places! The service is always great and the staff are amazing. Came here for my birthday and ripples made it a great experience. Thank you!
They have an awful lot of spirits, liqueur's and wine. It would be a nice drive to go there in the afternoon.
What a really neat place, a hidden jem.
Visited on a Sunday during the Atmospheric River. Had an early sitting (12:30),arrived 15 minutes early and were seated upon arrival. It wasn't so busy probably because of the weather. Very nice staff. Great selection. Vegetarian choices also available. The walnut cheesecake is a must! Beautiful surroundings,if you like eating amongst the plants and watching the Koi,which is definitely to my liking. What a pleasant outing. Thank you. November 22/21-Sadly, Ripples winery was a victim of the terrible floods of Sumas Prairie so they are closed now. They are planning on returning and when they do I will be back to support them ❤️
Kelsey designed drinks, and her service was awesome, very talented and cool people!
Fabulous distillery, winery, restaurant- mostly appies, paninis. Amazing cocktails that I have never seen before. Great spot for wedding reception. Beautiful setting. I would reccomend reservations
We paid $10 each Friday night for the waitress to take our drink order and never return. Finally after 35 minutes another server noticed that we had been sitting with an empty table in a sea of other tables enjoying food and drink. To give Ripples their due the other tables seemed to be really enjoying themselves. We finished our drinks when they finally arrived and got out before the night was ruined further.
Servers were awesome but the managers had aggressive attitude
Amazing environment, staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and food was amazing. Will be back for sure.
Stood in the tasting room and the bartender couldn’t be bothered to look up and say hi. Waited 15 mins and still nothing! The manager couldn’t be bothered to even look up at me when I asked for help!!! I would give zero stars for customer service if allowed!! They were too busy catering to a wedding instead!! I’ll never go back!!
One of the nicest venue's we have been to.
A slice of paradise! We visited on a very warm day, but the layout took advantage of the heat and shade to make it very comfortable. We tried the wines and were very impressed, both with the grape and the blueberry wines. The charcuterie was fantastic - it was an amazing time!
This is a lovely little place to go to enjoy a glass of wine and some apples. Gorgeous little spot that has gathered a lot of attention. The fish pond is amazing, and it was a little day date for hubby and me! Very relaxing, like you were on a tropical vacation! Awesome little place for girls nights, small weddings etc! I would definitely go there again, plus its dog friendly! It sure won me over!
Great service, beautiful large venue and lots of attention to decor. Wine is also amazing and so was the charcuterie board
Awful staff and awful service , I'll never go back again. Worst distillery I've ever been too , absolutely the rudest staff ever. And the food and drinks were disgusting. Biggest waste of money ever!
Saw a review on my Chilliwack community page, so I drove out Even in the Covid era, the staff were very attentive and down to earth. I did know there was such a place so close to home. Purchased one bottle of white wine and it was good. Will be back! Would love to visit with friends and enjoy the setting more. Soon, I hope..
wonderful spot. Good food and great drinks
Great atmosphere along with friendly service. A very relaxing and enjoyable winery.
Came here to celebrate my brother and sister’s birthdays. Food and drinks were good, however, we had the most unpleasant dealings with our waitress and the owner/manager. They made a mistake on our bill, and rather than try to figure out their mistake we were treated incredibly rudely and my sister was basically accused of trying to get out of paying for a menu item. When I spoke with the owner/manager afterwards and pointed out our family payed well over $500 for our meals with each person ordering appetizers and drinks along with a meal and that one $13 menu item is nothing on a bill that large… why would we try to get out of paying for one of the cheapest items on their menu after everything else we ordered. She literally rolled her eyes and laughed in my face. When I said that she had the poorest customer service skills I’ve ever encountered once again, kept rolling her eyes at me. I told her it’s too bad she felt the need to treat her customers so rudely because the last time I came in I bought a few hundred dollars of alcohol from their store after my meal, which I would no longer be doing this evening. I wanted to buy both my brother and sister a bottle for their birthdays so they lost an additional sale. Owner did not seem to care at all and was extremely condescending in her reply when I told her I would not be back to this establishment after the treatment we had received, she said too bad you’re not going to come back to a place you clearly enjoy… no, I appreciate good customer service and being treated with respect. A ridiculous thing to expect at this establishment apparently. To top it off, I had taken my child right after to see the koi fish in the pond behind the desk manager was at and as I was leaving, both her, and our waitress were standing at the end talking and laughing about me. Worst experience I’ve ever had eating out.
Amazing! Beautiful scenery to enjoy some truly delicious beverages!
Beautiful place for a wedding!!!
10/10. Service food and drinks were amazing. Owner came out and was super friendly and chatted with us. 0 complaints and will be making this a routine date night stop.
What a pleasant surprise! Wonderful settings, good food and a crazy selection of gins.
Another great time. Thanks James for always looking after us. A big thanks to Sofia for the amazing service. See u soon.
Ripples Winery is absolutely the most beautiful place I've personally ever been. We were recently there on last Friday for the Sangria and Ceaser Night. It was our first time. The tasting room was absolutely gorgeous with so much to look at and choose from. Our Taste Master was a lovely lady by the name of Faith who treated us like family. So much laughter and kindness that we didn't want it to end. This is a place that has to be seen in person from my prospective. We will definitely be back soon.
This winery is a little piece of heaven in the Fraser Valley! So excited to add their tasty blueberry wine to my collection. Enjoying a bottle of wine on the lawn at Ripples is an experience unlike any other, love it. Their sparkling wine is also to die for!!
Love this place! Have since day 1! Sofia was our last waitress and she rocks!
Super friendly and informative staff, great scenery, big selection of wines (they also have some hard alcohol) was nice to sit and have a cheese board and some flights of wine ????. Moderately expensive but overall great time.
Caleb was awesome!! Thank you so much and have a great first day!! Your rocking this!!
Love the atmosphere and energy. Great service and yummy food!
We love all the wines here and service is always super friendly.
Terrible experience Reservation made for 12:15 Virgin drinks ordered for kids - but no bartender on site to make strawberry lemonades Seating - they brought us to sit at a table only to let us know that we couldn’t sit there and can only sit outside Flights - ordered spirit Adventure flight for the mango passion spirit, and they did not tell us they were out of stock. But told us as they brought the spirit flight to us and said they replaced it with another spirit. Food order placed - 45 min later they came back and said the bartender did not place the food order The waitress tried, she was nice. But everything just sucked. I am so disappointed And it totally ruined our afternoon Don’t come here.
Beautiful outdoor seating, however service, and hospitality left a sour taste. Wouldn't recommend arriving with more than 6 people, as you will be expecting to pay an additional $20/person in order to sit together. We did not know this upon arrival (as we were not able to book a larger group online prior). We had asked to have our tables relatively close together, but instead were given two tables on opposite sides of the property. We asked again as tables all around us were opening up that would be able to accomodate our request, which was rejected, and met with angst. Afterwards, had our drinks served, one was spilled on one of us, and we were again met with angst when we asked for napkins. When we asked to have the bills for our table split, we were told we would have to sort them out ourselves at the cashier. When paying for our bill, the original hostess who sat us asked if we were "part of the large party we had to split up" and then continued to state that we had overstayed our 2.5h time limit (we were not informed there was a time limit) and that it was good we were on our way out, because there were "lots of people waiting for 6 person tables". As we walked out, we noted multiple tables were open, and not a single person was in line waiting. Very disappointed as we had driven over an hour to be met with poor service.
Amazing spot, d8g the family vibe and hanging in the garden setting. Chelsea and her mom rock and deserve all the high praise!!!
It's my 50th birthday and we came to Ripples to celebrate! Great atmosphere! Great drinks! Great Chacuterie board and amazing service! Anna you made our night ! Thank you !
This was my first time at Ripples Winery, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but the service was horrible! My family and I drove an hour out from Burnaby, BC thinking we would have a fantastic experience though it was everything but that. Once we arrived, we were taken to our table. Our waitress did not tend to our table for a while, and another waitress had come and given us water and asked if our assigned waitress had come, but she hasn't. Soon after she arrived, without a "hello, how are you guys doing" or "hi welcome to Ripples Winery," she ONLY looked at her paper and pen and said, "do you guys know what you'd like to order." We stated no, as we were not ready. She came back and took our orders, and again, did not make any eye contact with us while speaking. We ordered our food and drinks and soon later received them. Our order consisted of Italian meatballs and a charcuterie board with some drinks. After that, we never saw our waitress for a very long time. Once received, we noticed that our meatballs were stone cold and that there were nuts on the charcuterie board. My sister had a severe allergy to nuts and was unaware that the board would have them. We then asked another employee to seek out our waitress to ask to have the nuts removed. Once our waitress had arrived, she showed no concern and told my family to eat around the nuts, which was shocking. She then told us that she wouldn't take it back as it has been placed on our table, and we can purchase another charcuterie board, as we did since she gave us no other option besides my sister having to "eat around the nuts". Halfway through our stay, we observed her behaviour towards us and the difference between how she was treating my family versus others. She never came back to our table, and I had asked another employee where our waitress was, and his simple reply was, "I will go get her". I then watched the employee go towards our waitress to state that our table needed assistance; with my own eyes, I visibly saw her shrug her shoulders and then our table was given a new waitress without notice. Being a person of colour and how this waitress was treating my family and me, her behaviour felt very racist. From the moment my family and I arrived, it was apparent she held something against us. She did not engage in conversation, nor a simple "hello, how are you" was spoken. The table beside us was greeted with a "Hi, How are you guys doing" and more welcomed than my family. This waitress made it her duty to tend other tables rather than asking my family how our food was, even once! Her attitude, the lack of care and judgment this woman held made me feel very uncomfortable. When my family and I were ready to leave, I had to find an employee to give us our bill to go. Nobody was tending to our table then. We even ordered more food, which NEVER arrived!! Once we were done paying, I brought this issue up to the front desk, and the only reply that I received was, "Oh, okay, sorry." They did not ask who our waitress was or seem to care to investigate this complaint further. I am appalled by how my family and I were treated. I myself, who is a server and works within the food industry, am very upset with the experience and behaviour that my family and I have gone through. I was left feeling hopeless when bringing the issue up to the front desk.
Great ambiance, lovely staff. Their collection cocktails are very different and a must try. It’s a really cute place, perfect spot for date nights and girls night.
Beautiful place with fantastic wines & spirits, we accidentally stumbled across it and loved it. Faith was an absolute gem going way above and beyond with her friendliness and adaptability! We would return simply for her!!! Unfortunately the owners put a bit of a damper on our experience...when introduced they didn't attempt anything besides a quick nod taking them away from their cell phones, and there was a conversation in front of us making us feel more like a bother than guests. Hoping it was just a bad day. Regardless, we would try again :)
Such a beautiful place , amazing service, food and drinks! Celebrated my birthday with my girlfriends and they made it so special. My new favourite place to go! All the staff are super friendly and our wine tasting was perfect.
Cocktails ???? are fancy and nice. Ambience is amazing.
Good wines. Great spirits and awesome staff. We will definitely go back.
Great experience! Sophia was our server, she was attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend.
The drinks were amazing! The location is beautiful with lovely plants and kio fish. Staff is very friendly and make you feel at home
We brought friends from Vancouver. We were met by a great greeter. The seats we reserved, were ready. Fun drinks, excellent food. Loved sitting amongst the plants by the Koi Fish Pond!! Super atmosphere. Sophia was our server and excellent. Brought home some of their great gin, rum, vodka etc!!!
Nice ambiance, but my husband and I waited a long time for service. We had a few different servers, the one in particular. Extremely rude. The food was over priced for what you get. Not worth the drive out.
Nice place to visit, not too close but not too far ???? Definitely recommend a visit!
Great place awesome wine. Amazing venue for weddings
While I understand this is a difficult time especially for people in the customer service industry; but based on our own experience and judging from some of the reviews, it seems that serving staff forgetting orders is not an uncommon thing... our waitress was particularly rude. The atmosphere was great, it’s a shame that the serving staff are turning customers away from this spot.
Loved our experience here! Beautiful setting. Amazing service. Delicious food. And fancy tasty drinks. Throughly enjoyed our date night!
Fantastic place to get away for a few fine cocktails, brews, wine and appies! They are always adding new stuff to the menu. Atmosphere can't be beat (It's like getting table service in a tropical rainforest). The entire staff is outgoing and friendly. Never had a bad experience at Ripples. New Wave distilling is always adding new flavours to try as well. I look forward to getting back there Avery time.
Love your dogs atmosphere and drinks!
Absolutely magical, fairytale beautiful wedding venue. We couldn't have been happier. Stunning decor, fabulous staff. Everything was so pretty. Great wine. Heather and Andrew Noseworthy wedding May 24, 2019.
The staff are soooo amazing! Everything is great here, something for everyone!
The one star given is due to the attitude given by the manager and or owner after we weren't satisfied with a drink and an entree. We weren't asked to leave and no one approached us about leaving, so not sure what that's all about... We did stay longer than our 2 hours but we confirmed if we could prior to ordering more drinks/food and they said they were cool with it. Servers were friendly and nice :)
Service was horrible, not family friendly. Beautiful patio though. Glass house Langley much more inviting and worth it, they also very accommodating to all!
Sophia did a great job tonight, our food and drinks were all very tasty really enjoyed the fancy cocktails
Josie was an awesome server! Beautiful ambiance and really great cocktails. Would recommend. V good date spot.
My friends and I did not have a good experience here. We were sat at the only table with direct sunlight during the hottest time of the day. We had asked for an umbrella or if there were any other tables to be moved to since one our friends was 8 months pregnant. We were told there were no spare umbrellas and no other tables, however we were staring at an unused umbrella 6 feet away for our entire stay. The drinks and food were ok if you like Costco food, but they should not use the table they sat us at as it made the entire experience unejoyable. An hour later they had found us as a “somewhat” shadier spot but at that point we were over it. I had made a point of expressing these concerns to our server and no efforts were made to ensure we would be back.
The artichoke dip is so good I could eat only that until I die. Nice atmosphere too.
Great selection of blue berry wines. Definitely recommend their blue berry wine products. But be sure to check the wines u r purchasing before leaving the winery. Last time we went there to purchase wines and we ended up with 4 bottles of wrong wines. Update: owner was very responsive to the issue. I really appreciated Angela getting back to me promptly!
A friend and I went to Ripples today for lunch, we were immediately greeted by a beautiful friendly dog. This place is so beautiful! Everywhere you look, the plants, water features, decor all so lovely. Staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Baked Brie is amazing! So many drinks to choose from, it was hard to make a decision. Loved the pond area where I could purchase water plants for my home pond. We will definitely be back. From start to finish it was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon!
Beautiful and lush location for a wedding
