I was able to booked a late lunch for Mother's Day weekend it was last minute and I'm glad I called as they had an opening. They had the mussels on the menu and I also got the Iingcod. I've been to this winery 2 times to taste and buy some wines. I love Baccus white wine especially because it is very sweet like ice wine even it is not and i've never tasted baccus wine before. Steak and pasta with wine for lunch were amazing after taking photos of grape farm????

Made a reservation over a month in advance but was given a terrible table off in the corner in the back of the restaurant. Was told the main section of the restaurant in the covered patio area was first come first served. Makes no sense that walk-ins get prime seating over reservations. A shame because food is pretty good. Not worth the risk unfortunately.

Our first winery experience and it was great! The wines were all excellent and staff very knowledgeable and experienced. They have a nice picnic area to open a bottle or have a glass to enjoy with refreshments for sale. The connected restaurant also sounds really good but wasn’t open the day we popped in. Be sure to make a reservation! Very busy on weekends!

My favourite local winery! I love their Bacchus. I would happily drink any of the whites or rose. I haven’t explored their reds yet, that’s next on my list. Great way to spend an afternoon. Have lunch in the bistro and finish with a tasting or visit Vista Doro and Festina which are both close by

Came for wine tasting and lunch at bacchus restaurant. Love the selection of great wines especially the The German whites. All the food dishes we had at the restaurant were excellent. Loved the French onion soup, the mussels and the ling Cod. Bought a case of assorted wines. Can’t wait to try them.

There were 3 staff today. One of their staff(older lady) had a bad attitude no smile and so grumpy. The young lady Stephanie was super nice and really helpful. I bought 2 bottles from her today they are great. I would go back if the attitude lady isn't there.

Went for the first time to Chaberton's Bacchus yesterday. I was told by someone over the phone that reservation wasn't necessary. We felt ostracized when we walked in and the front hostess knew we did not have a reservation. The server that we were sat with was not pleasant, either she was finishing her section , leaving soon, or having a bad day, but we did not feel welcome. The food was wonderful, I recommend the seafood soup and spinach salad, but the service was lacking. After, The gentleman in the tasting room was pleasant and asked about our lunch and how it went. He expressed his sincere apologies and made us feel very welcome. Give him a raise! We took the time to come from Richmond and North burnaby to visit this establishment. I don't think I would return to Bacchus if the service from yesterday continued. We have experienced greater hospitality from other wineries.

This winery is picturesque. With large wooden picnic tables across the specious yard, barrels and the sign it offers not only a great view to enjoy your flight style wine but nice photo ops. Judy our wine counesseur was amazing! But the wine itself is exquisite. The quality of this wine is unbeatable. It was a shame we didn't buy any from the wine store. When we attempted to enter after our tasting the clerk was very unpleasant and we decided to leave. It's still worth a visit purely due to the wine and Judy! And the restaurant is apparently delicious. Overall almost a perfect experience.

Did a tasting with Deanna the sales manager for the wine shop yesterday. Very knowledgeable on the wines. Excellent quality for the price. Highly recommend anyone travelling to langley to check it out.

It was a sunny Saturday, busy winery, but we were able to order a flight and enjoy it outside while waiting for a picnic table. We had 3 whites and a red, excellent flight selections. Would definately recommend, the 2019 sigerrebe is excellent.

Did an impromptu tasting tour for my birthday yesterday this winery is GORGEOUS. busy but not too busy as the venue is very large. Jessie is the absolute best we loved her she taught me so much about wine and tasting etc., she was hilarious and so accommodating to us. They have a wide range of all kinds of wines and all that she suggested I LOVED. We purchased a bottle and were given wine glasses and sat out on a table and enjoyed it in the sun. Took some great photos and the wine they sold us was chilled as well which was AWESOME. beautiful beautiful winery. Will definetly be back here

Two particular wine favourites are the Siegerrebe and the North Bluff Pink (from one of their other labels, Canoe Cove). Especially noteworthy is their excellent Bacchus Bistro, with French cuisine--everything we've ever tried there has been delicious, with lovely service. Once, when I ordered a glass of the Siegerrebe at the Bistro, the waiter brought a small plate of the just-picked wine grapes to the table, so that we could compare the flavours. Splendid.

Just left this winery and it is 4:45pm. We asked if we could sit down for a tasting and the lady said no they are closed for tastings. The winery closes in 1 hour 15 mins. Sorry we won’t be returning that’s ridiculous.

Had a lovey afternoon sitting in the heated Baccus Bistro having lunch. Everything looked great on the menu. The food we ordered was delicious as was the wine. The young guy that served us was attentive and very nice. He made a mistake on our bill and returned $10 cash to us....which we told.him to keep for his honesty , we would not have noticed.

My daughters took me to the Bistro for lunch. Our favourite wind is their Bacchus, we were appalled that they charged $33 for a bottle!!!! Follow d wax good, service was ok.

This review does not deserve a 2 star, however I do not like the word "hate", so did not give a 1 star. My husband and I were out driving around today and came across this winery today. Good friends of ours had previously recommended it so as you can imagine when we came across it, we were excited to check it out. We were not acknowledged when we walked in and the 2 gals at the front were in a conversation with each other, rather than welcoming us in. I truly believe in customer service and when I am not even welcomed, or asked if I can be helped, it does not impress me. We walked around for a bit, and has some questions, but the gals were obviously not interested in helping us. We will not be back and we certainly will not be referring anyone to this winery. There are so many other wineries we have been at where we have been treated as gold, the moment we have walked in the door, and so many more to check out.

Went here for a tasting today. This place is awesome. Highly recommend. When we go back, we will ask for Lis -- she was super fun and chatty, and on top of that, the wine is delicious! They are on top of physical distancing and that put me at ease. My friend and I were taken to our very own separate tasting room. I noticed that there was no tip option on the debit machine. I made sure to give her a generous cash tip. Hopefully others will come equipped with cash for tips too.

The moment we walked in the staff was rude, then a man came and yelled and my partner and I because she was def and with this medical disability , I could not wear a mask, they didn't even ask, they threatens to call the cops. My heart was broken. After we went to township 7 and were treated like gold. Felt right at home. It might have been the owner who yelled at us. But it was terrible and do not recommend anyone going there unless you are perfectly square. Big thanks to township 7 for making us feel at home. And saving the day. We went home with two cases of wine and no need to taste the wine in private rooms, enjoyed the very roomy winery all to ourselves. What a beautiful staff.

Definitely the best of the local Vancouver/Langley wineries, for both selection and a decent wine tasting room. For Canada, it certainly is not up speed with some of better Okanagan or Ontario wine tasting rooms etc., but deserves a four star rating.

I discovered this gem just recently, the outside set up is very inviting and accessible. Most of their products are in line with industry standards, however I found a few that were particularly interesting ( mainly in their whites). The customer service was a little bit disappointing but we will give it a second chance!

A great place to spend a sunny afternoon! They provide picnic tables for anyone who buys a bottle or gets a flight of wine, and bring your own cheese abed crackers! The wine is decent. The Syrah was my favorite of the pre-selected flight.

Bad service on multiple occasions (same server, older gentleman) Staff is rude and unwilling to help. Came in for a tasting on Mother’s Day and was given the most basic form of a wine tasting, it was over in 10 minutes or less. Gave them a second try today. Walked in with 15 minutes to spare before close. The room was empty except staff. Asked if we could do a tasting and was given a cold “no” as an answer. Later was given the explanation that their tasting takes 20 minutes, which seems like a poor response considering our previous experience. We drive in from Vancouver so it’s definitely disappointing to get that answer. Love the wine but have a very bitter taste in my mouth now from these experiences.

Went to the bistro for lunch with my friend last week. What a great place in south Langley/Surrey. The menu selection is very decent for lunch and food is delicious. This was my first visit to the winery I certainly will be there more often in the future.

Wouldn’t recommend. Went this past weekend to try it out as it was my SIL’s birthday and she is visiting from Ontario. It was raining and it was a bit chilly, we walked up and there wasn’t really any signage. Only a sign for the wine shop, the bistro, and the office. We saw someone walk up some stairs and go through a door so we thought maybe that was the entrance. We were wrong, apparently they do private tastings. The employee was very rude trying to talk to us and get us to leave and told us to wait in the wine shop and that it would be a 25 minute wait. We went to the wine shop where they had flights, which was a fine way to do a tasting so we tried that. Staff in the shop were nice, but there isn’t anywhere to sit inside, so we sat outside under a small covered patio but no heaters so we were freezing. The wine was also not very good. We didn’t even finish most of it.

Chaberton estate probably has the most variety of wines to try on hand, compared to any other winery. The full gambit of white’s, rose’s and red’s. The bacchus bistro has some of the best food, would even give downtown vancouver a run for it’s money. Best French onion soup, bar none.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Chaberton today! The moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and amazing service. Brittany was so helpful in recommending wines to us that we were able to select 5 different wines for our upcoming wedding. We also loved the eco-friendly option of buying a 4L box which resonated with our environmental values. I just loved the personable service that we got from Chaberton. Highly recommend this place if you need to make a big purchase!

1st visit. I was impressed by the food, service and atmosphere in their bacchus bistro. I typically don’t care for BC red wine ???? but I liked chaberton red. Service was excellent and the food was very rich and flavourful. Sangria was good. The salmon was delicious.

Well maintained and scenic winery. Unfortunately it may be let down by its immense popularity. Enjoyed the scenery and enjoyed the little gift shop, but after almost ten minutes and not being acknowledged by any of the staff my group and I left without a tasting. Would recommend a visit at a less busy time than a Saturday afternoon for an optimal experience.

Terrible. After a group of 10 of us showed up they told us they couldn't serve us inside or outside. They quickly took our money for over 8 bottles so we could serve ourselves outside. No one offered to help us, apparently we weren't spending enough yet. All those inside were offered cheese and crackers. Make sure you bring your own picnic with friends if this is what your plan was. They will not accommodate. The only good thing was my friends and the food my wife thankfully packed. Again, we bought more than 8 bottles and still not one person that works here has come out and asked if we are enjoying it? If we have questions? Terrible customer service. And I sell cars for a living. I know what a bare minimum of customer care should be. This place only has there hand out for your money.

This is one of BC's largest production wineries featuring mostly white German varietals that excel in this climate. Bacchus Bistro onsite offers lovely menu highliting local fresh foods. A great place for a unique meal and wine tasting experience.

We were approached by a staff member who assumed that we were one large group and demanded we leave their premises. We tried to explain the situatio, where we were met with hostility. Her unprofessional manner needs to be addressed immediately. Her customer service is an atrocity.

We visited your wonderful Estate Winery today and decided to have lunch at the Bacchus Bistro. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and shown to a nice table with lovely linen tablecloths and settings. The staff were all dressed professionally. (none of these skimpy outfits:). Our water glasses were promptly filled and then our server Jana came to advise us of the daily special. We had the french onion soup, the Bacchus salad, crepes and mushroom/cheese omelet. It was absolutely divine! The presentation of each dish was perfect and Jana and the Bus Person were there whenever we needed something. The whole ambiance was cozy, intimate and relaxed. After that we went to the Wine Tasting room and spoke with Bryson who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and Jacquie had us taste some of the wines. Needless to say we bought several bottles of wine and came home from a very pleasant day out. I've already posted on Trip Advisor but you can be very pleased and proud of the professional, courteous and friendly staff you have there. Thank you very much.

This place is so good! Our group absolutely loved the food. Best lamb, duck, and french onion soup that i've ever had! Wine was also amazing. Walked away with 5 bottles. Tasting is 5 dollars, but is waived if you buy a bottle! Dessert was a London Fog Crème Brûlée ❤❤❤

Excellent. Tasted some excellent wines and had a great conversation with the fellow that was looking after us. He discussed each wine and we exchanged experiences wine tasting in Ontario. Ended up buying 4 bottles of great wine. Didn't get a chance to visit the Bacchus Bistro, maybe on our next trip.

Every time I come to this winery, there is a bald guy who is so rude and gives such poor customer service. I just left a winery, prior to arriving to this one, spending 400+ dollars on wine, and when we arrived 20 mins before closing, he declines us service because they are closing soon… not a great way to sell and make money. I’ve had a bad experience with this same guy before hand and gave it a second shot. Safe to say I will not be back. Sorry.

Absolutely worst customer service. We went around 5 and did know they close at 6. We made sure to even drop of our glasses at 5:50 so we wouldn't be causing any delays but the person working tonight was very rude. We were gathering our stuff to leave but the the staff that was coming around closing was being absolutely rude and just wanted us to get out.

If you like wine, then this place is a must see. With grapes from the field in langley to grapes from the okanagan a large variety of wine types are available from this establishment. They offer small meat and cheese platters to eat in the small picnic area on their lot with your wine, to professional wine tasting, as well as a restaurant for the more particular food conisours. As far as wineries go, this is a top notch must see establishment. FYI, I do not work there or have anything to gain by recommending this place. I just think it has hit the nail on the head for providing what people are looking for in a local winery.

After a lovely lunch at the bistro where I enjoyed the Madeleine white wine I went to the store to buy a bottle..The price is $19.60 I gave a 20 dollar bill and was ASKED if I wanted the 40 cents back.. The nerve! It was insulting. Better customer service is needed..

Great food and service. Ordered the mussels with pesto sauce and smoked salmon (special of the day) and it tasted very good...full of flavour and mussels cooked perfectly. Also got the Caesar salad which was very good and not too salty; however the portion was quite small for the salad. Pork rilettes was good too...it was like a pork floss pate. Chicken dijonnaise was very cream and flavourful...chicken was cooked quite nicely and still juicy. Also got the stuffed crepe, that came with organic spring mix. The crepe itself was on the smaller side but it was good. Overall, very good and satisfying lunch. Sat on the patio and got a view of the vineyard.

Unfortunately have had multiple bad experiences in the tasting room (with the same server, an older gentleman). We really enjoy the wine produced be this winery however have been very disappointed by the services. Once we were rushed thought a tasting and could barely catch the ear of our server. It was over in less than 10 mins. The second time, we came in 15 minutes before close. Their open sign was still light up out side. I asked if we could do a tasting and we were given a very cold ‘no’. The reason being that their tastings normally take 20 minutes or more… but remembering out previous experience that seemed like a very sorry excuse. Once again, really enjoy the wine but the service is terrible.

It was our first time dinning outside we brought our own food, there was four of us two couples, and bought the wine ,a interesting concept we got a tray with two different wine each with the names so you could choose which you preferd.It was a really wonderful afternoon we are planning to take our family Max 8 people.next time ,ideal for a small birthday party ,give it a try I sure you will enjoy the experience.Alan Burton

I have gone on a few tours to this winery had a great meal the first time, second time same group of us on a tour and this time they gave us a set menu which we did not want. The set menu had nothing that we liked so we asked to have regular menu as we did the previous year. They said no too many people (8) we explained we did this last year. So we asked if we could split the tables to 4 each table they still said no or add a couple of other options to menu still NO. We decided that this wasn't for us now experiencing this so we found our tour driver and left to a different restaurant. They let us walk out the door. Just went on a small private tour on Saturday spent just over $400.00 and unknown to me my friends daughter in law paid $10 for each person on the tour (5) but paid for 6. I just called them as we have never paid a fee on our tours as we always buy wine. So I called to get the refund of her money explaining the amount we spent and the number of tours we have done there and they would not wave the fee $60... she said this is the way it is now. Really now we will go spend our money at other wineries.

Sorry for my first 1 star review, but any higher would be misleading. Beautiful venue, was really excited to do some wine tasting... however was sold a flight of white wines and wasn't explained anything about what we were drinking... was told they are numbered on a piece of paper. Bistro was closed (Tuesday), was told we could get a charcuterie board... ended up being we buy the box of crackers, tub of olives, tub of hummus, block of cheese and then dice it up ourselves ???? Wines were ok, but that might have been affected by our experiences

We went to the restaurant, the staff were very professional and very attentive with us, the food was delicious. The wine tasting was $5 CAD and it was waived if you buy some bottles. If you are planning to go to the restaurant I recommend you to make a reservation and be on time since there's a lot of people, especially on sunny days.
