Was there for a wedding and it was such a beautiful place. Didn't have a chance to actually try the wine but I am sure it is amazing as they use real wood barrels. I am definitely comijg back to do some wine tasting

Service fantastic - we stopped there at the end of a Fraser Valley wine tour, for a final tasting and charcuterie. Only caveat - it was the last stop, so we were a little burnt on wines, and discriminating between them, but the quality seemed great.

What a fantastic winery! We're up from Phoenix and took a drive out to the farmland that has all the wineries. Totally worth the drive from the city. Got perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy the view, wine and a light snack. They are so friendly and enjoy talking about their wines. Great find and happy we stopped here.

Great wine, great variety, and very professional service (water in-between tastings and you can taste anything on the menu). Their membership offers more perks compared to other wineries such as unlimited tastings and being able to invite up to 6 friends for free tastings.

Bad service where were ignored for a while and nothing was explained about any wine. And the wine was mediocre (and really overpriced for the quality). And first time I've been charged a tasting fee when my wife and I didn't individually buy a bottle. There were 4 of us and none were impressed.

We were able to call and book a tasting on the fly while in the area and were so glad they were able to fit us in on short notice. My partner had the Reserve Tasting ($15) and I had the Social Tasting ($10) so we were able to share a few sips between us and try quite a few different wines. Very impressive portfolio and some very approachable options. Most of the grapes come from the South Okanagan/ Osoyoos area, with some grown right on the property. Absolutely lovely tasting room and on a nicer day, they have an expansive picnic and patio area. Everyone we spoke to was extremely welcoming and friendly and the wine expert who guided us through our tasting was fabulous. We went home with an amazing bottle and some chocolate from ChocolaTas -great experience and will be back!

I went with a birthday/bachelorette with my gal friends and it was amazing! This was our first stop on a self-guided wine tour and their staff was truly awesome. Doris gave us a great tour and the gal who did our tasting was super accommodating as well! I definitely recommend stopping here if you are in town or on a wine tour. The wine is delicious and the atmosphere is so idyllic!

I highly highly recommend this winery for any wine tastings! The selection they have is amazing! You really can't go wrong honestly with any wine you pick. All the staff are very kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. I really wish I took more pictures of the outside as it was so beautiful. There is lots of parking and lots of seating to relax and have a bite and taste the delicious wine. I will definitely return!!!

This visit was amazing. They knew it was a special occasion so they let us try some bubbly. It wasn't as formal as other tastings, no one really took the lead to tell the group what the wines descriptions were, but it was great nonetheless. The wines were fabulous especially the bubbly. Great big outdoor eating area close to the vineyard, a cozy environment overall.

We love to have a charcuterie and a glass of wine almost anytime of the year. Great setting and the staff is wonderful. Be prepared for a relaxed pace when it gets busy but it's a good pace at that. Good range of wines & it's all on the tasting menu. I liked their old graphics much better but that doesn't change what's inside.

I've been here a few times in the past. Every time has been exceptional - with great service, a cozy atmosphere, great wine and food! Yesterday, we went here for a wine tasting/happy hour for my sisters birthday. We had a great time. A special shout out to our wine connoisseur, Stephanie! Her bubbly personality and thorough wine knowledge made our trip out to this winery extra special! Our wine tasting, $5 happy hour/day wine and cheese/meat/hummus/pretzel chips/nuts boards were so tasty! It was nice to see a large covered patio with heaters as well! It also appeared to be very family friendly :)

We have visited this winery a few times over the past year, the last time was just a week ago. If it was not so close by I would never go again. The venue is beautiful but does not make up for the staff who make you feel unwanted and an inconvenience. There is one team member who is pleasant and the rest are truly awful. Don’t show up within an hour of closing or for a special occasion even with a reservation. Unfortunately they are busy enough that they do not have to care about your experience.

Stopped by Backyard Vineyards while on a trip to Vancouver. All the wines we sampled were great and the food/service was on point as well. I had purchased a bottle of one of their reserve wines to enjoy while on my trip, and it was clear that the bottle was off when I opened it. Despite having to leave first thing the following morning, I thought to send an email and inquire about the situation. The team at Backyard Vineyards, upon hearing I would be unable to come by the winery again, opted to send me another bottle directly to my home in Ontario! I was absolutely stunned to say the least, and cannot be any happier with how the situation was handled. Beautiful wines, excellent staff, and a dedication to ensuring every customer leaves happy. I can't recommend Backyard Vineyards enough.

They hold a variety of events through the week and weekends that really speak to the local flavour of the area. It's been well worth the trip from Vancouver - every time.

A great stop if you’re looking for a more social experience on your wine tour. Picnic tables everywhere....and I mean...everywhere. This place is incredible on a hot summer day and you’ve got your cool drinks and snacks on one of the tables with your friends, family. Child and dog friendly (most of the wineries are).

What a "Great Local Vineyard". As a "Club Member", we are "Invited to the Members Only Party's". These events are very well attended, with great food and live music. The best part about this club is "We get to pick our Wine Selection". Picking our favorites and not having wine picked for us. Arrived here for a bachelorette of 8. Managers were very rude when we tried to go outside to take photos or sits Down in the tasting area (which was empty). Angrily told to stand by the bar and were not given a spot to sit even though It was booked 3 months in advanced. Don't recommend, there are many better wineries around

The only reason BY got a star from me is the cute bottles. A girl friend and I were out to celebrate her birthday with a few winery stops before dinner. This was the first, talk about setting such a low bar. The employees were extremely uninterested almost bothered to be there. At the bar the sommelier was extremely untalkative. No interest in asking us what we might care to sample and offering no suggestions or little tid bits on what pairs well with what. There were many awkward moments and the vibe here was just all wrong. Go to T7 instead amazing customer service and nice wine with pairing suggestions.

I have been here twice now. The second time we were welcomed with live music. Backyard has a beautiful outdoor seating area to enjoy a bottle/glass of wine. About a week ago I went in with a reservation. It was very busy. We were greeted right away and told to stand at the tasting bar. 10 minutes later, the woman who greeted us noticed that we hadn’t been helped yet and was very apologetic. She served us the best she could until a sommelier was available and our tasting was fully refunded. I appreciate that she did everything she could to correct the situation! I am no expert but I would suggest reviewing your system for greeting and serving guests to make things easier on employees and customers :) Our group ended up enjoying 2 bottles of the sparkling wine out on the patio.

Very disappointed. This was the second winery on our wine tour for my friends 30th birthday. The lady who did our wine tasting was amazing but there was an employee that came over an scolded us and said we were too loud and needed to "tone it down" and made us all feel terrible. Conlletwly turned the vibe. And then a few people were smoking in a open area with noine anywhere close outside and told us they coulnt smoke there and had to smoke on the road. There were zero signs saying where to or where not to smoke. Will never be back nor will we ever recommend.

I have several issues with the way I was treated when I came in with a group for a tasting. I don't know what was more infuriating the sexist approach with which it was handled or the fact that this business tried to charge us for services not rendered. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a business. There are so many other options in the valley I would suggest taking your patronage elsewhere.

Norma from backyard vineyards is absolutely amazing. We arrived just past closing time and they insisted we had a wine tasting anyways. She gave us a secret tasting is the wines and asked us to guess based on the tasting menu which one it was. Every time I come here we have the greatest experience. I've been to this winery numerous times. Each time I've been greeted warmly by the staff. The people working there also know their wines and are able to provide great knowledge behind the process and notes of the wines.

Checked this winery out today for the first time. I live a few houses down and decided to check it out today. Did a tasting and bought a bottle of Gewürztaminer. Delicious! They have a live band every Saturday and Sunday. As for the customer service... right when I walked in I was greeted and sent over for a tasting. The bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. She asked me about my wine preferences and told me about backyard as she set up the tasting.

Went there to see if we could have a wedding party there. Staff were very helpful, even though they were busy. Met Felicity the next day, and she was very pleasant too. I did encounter one staff that wasn't as pleasant, but my take on it was that she was very busy and under pressure. We are having our wedding party here. I can't wait.

Rude staff member. Not a place to go to if you are in a group as you have to all taste the same wines. Group of 12 and not one of us bought anything....maybe if we could all taste ones that we wanted it would be a different story. Also no knowledge or explanation on any of the wine...just wanted us to move along. There is so many other great wineries with great customer service, we will be sure to spread the on where to go....not here

Fantastic local winery! Make sure to get the cheese and charcuterie plate, it’s $23 for a nice selection of meats and cheeses. Great for a nice summer day to enjoy your wine on the terrace. They waive the tasting fee if you buy a bottle of wine, so taste 4 wines for your favourite and then buy the one you like to enjoy outside :).

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I had been trying for MONTHS to get a hold of them to book a tour and tasting for a bachelorette for 20 people. Every single time I would call the person would take my information and say someone would call me back and they wouldn't, every time I would email no one would email me back. FINALLY someone contact me back and then they wouldn't book the time that we requested saying they only do tours at 12:00., but said they can only do tastings, I angrily booked this since it's in the schedule I made and I have already booked all the other wineries and they are all confirmed already. I just received a call today and she says they can't do the tasting either for the time I requested. They are the worst and I would never recommend them to anyone! We will never buy their wines or go to their winery.

You can definitely expect to wait for service and probably will have to go out of your way to fight for a seat (and a glass of wine). Staff can definitely be slightly hard to deal with. If you are willing to forgive the above, then in the summer the patio can be a lovely setting to down (a mediocre) bottle of wine.

Did not live up to expectations. Service was not as welcoming or professional as other wineries in Langley. Wines were poor or just ok. Very loud and crowded in the tasting area. Charcuterie in a cardboard box was disappointing. Worth visiting if you're touring all the Langley wineries, but Backyard is not the destination we expected.
