My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place!! They have a great selection of wines and I love how you can buy a whole snack basket and just enjoy it right there!! I highly recommend this place for a good time and great wines and baskets!!

What an absolutely incredible place! The venue is so beautiful. The grounds stretch all the way to the beach and you can bring your wine to the beach. The food boxes they have prepared are the perfect complement to their wines. All of the staff were very friendly and they made us and our dog feel very welcome! I would highly recommend this winery to anyone in the area!

Sprucewood Shores goes above and beyond in terms of customer service! They have my favourite wine so I am able to order from the winery directly and have quick shipping and delivery. They were so kind to go out of their way to ensure I was delivered a gift basket from my mom for my birthday. Can not say I love them enough!

Border City Bites

Wine tastings were only $2 for a sample of four wines or free if you buy a bottle. I had a variety of samples, including the popular Lady in Red. I enjoy Sprucewood wines immensely, so I purchased a bottle of the rosé for my own collection. I noticed they had a mulled wine – not something that I have seen at other wineries – and had to try it. It was a sweetly spiced mulled wine that would be great for cold nights in front of a fireplace.

Beautiful space both indoor and out for weddings, right by Lake Erie, but let’s talk wines. Definitely try their Caboom (made from niagara concord grapes) and the sparkling Riesling! Even though it was very busy when we went, the staff were amazing at ensuring we were taken care of! Definitely make this a stop on your Essex County wine tour!

Although the wine was very good and we walked out purchasing a couple of bottles, the customer service was abysmal. This may be a place where it'll be okay to pick up some bottles and go - but experiencing the tasting and getting a tour of the building felt very demeaning, especially as paying customers. We were treated with no respect and were nickle and dimed on every move we made.

The owners/staff at Sprucewood went above and beyond for me last week. I called late in the day Wednesday and asked if possible for them to make a gift basket and get it delivered for our daughters Champagne birthday (28 on the 28th of March). The wonderful woman that I spoke to, asked her boss about it and because it was a special request, they not only made a beautiful basket but got it to my daughters apartment in London on Friday Morning. Of course my daughter was thrilled but also couldn't wait to get into it and ate the cheese, crackers and olives for her lunch that day. Well done Sprucewood, you have a loyal customer for life!! Sprucewood's wines are okay. Not bad at all. But they have very friendly staff and great atmosphere and very clean. Their views are amazing overlooking the water. Would definitely recommend!

Great place for a romantic Picnic lunch! They sell gourmet boxed lunches, pair it with a bottle of wine and head down to their private beach or enjoy one of their picnic tables. Unique! I’ve done a lot of wine country in Ontario, enjoyed this place. Had the Pinot noir, stick to the reds!

Sprucewood Winery was the perfect venue choice for our wedding! The grounds and pavillion were beautiful; we were married on the beach which was a dream come true! The staff and service were incredible, accommodating and helpful, we even had a server bring us appetizers while we were out taking pictures. Special shout out to Melissa who made sure everything went smoothly and helped with the planning process. Her guidance and calmness were much appreciated. She also has a kind heart and empathized with the experience. Chef Don!!!! The food was amazing! All of our guests raved about all of the menu choices, especially the appetizers. You cannot go wrong with the amazing combo of Sprucewood and 3D catering for your wedding! Added bonus: the wine is delicious:)

Such a beautiful venue! As a wedding photographer, I have seen so many amazing wedding here and will continue to enjoy every one there. The staff is always so friendly and goes out of their way to help you. Every wedding I have seen has been very organized. Not to mention how stunning the whole building is for photos. With beach, vineyards, interior, wine cellar, and whole property makes this place a dream.

Had 2 wine tastings and a picnic basket. Took it down to the beach. The lady behind the bar was nice and helped explain everything. The picnic actually fed the 3 of us, 2 adults and a teenager with some cheese leftover.

This winery has such a nice property! I really liked that we were able to take our wine samples outside, enjoying it at a picnic table by the beach. Offering beer for non wine drinkers is a nice touch! The staff was friendly and I LOVED that it was dog friendly in the building and on the property - that made our visit a lot more enjoyable.

We tried Sprucewood Shores wines for the first time through a virtual alumni event. The three wines featured (which we ordered and had delivered to Hamilton) included the following wines, VQA Riesling Sparking-excellent-fresh, fruity, crisp, Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, amazing taste, and Warm and Cozy mulled cider-lovely way to finish off the evening. Time to order a case!!

Attended a fundraiser for #KCC. (kids curing cancer). A beautiful place, very friendly & knowledgeable staff. A very short drive from Windsor. Going back in warmer weather to take advantage of their chicouterie board picnic basket down by the beach. Found the wines very enjoyable especially the "Lakeside". Definately needs to be on your wine tour stops.

Sprucewood Winery is, in my opinion, the best and most beautiful place for a wedding in the Windsor-Essex area! The staff is amazing as well. They all made the planning process easy and stress-free. We initially met with Michelle a year prior to our wedding. We had a few meetings spread out throughout the year and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. Their complete services made wedding planning so easy! On the day of the wedding, they all worked together to make sure that everything went smoothly. Chef Don of 3D Catering is also incredible. The food was amazing and we received so many positive comments from our guests. There is a long wait list for weddings, but it’s totally worth it!
