Beautiful location that is perfect for weddings, showers, corporate events - you name it! The food at the Vines restaurant is very good and they have a wine expert in house that has paired each meal with the perfect wine. Cooper's Hawk is a family run business and it has a nice family feel. Finally (and probably most importantly), the wine is EXCELLENT. For being a small winery they have a large selection of high quality wines. I highly suggest you go check out the restaurant in the winter and the patio in the summer.

Beautiful property but their wines need some time to mature. Worth a try but I don't see why they feel they need to charge for tastings when the wine is just okay...and rather pricey as well. Staff pour very small tastings and if I am paying, I want a full amount. Their preserves are excellent.

Our group of seven had a farewell lunch here on June 13, 2019. I wanted it to be the perfect celebration of our friendship. I was totally pleased with everything - the food, the service, the atmosphere, the wine, the value, etc. The presentation of the food was exceptionally beautiful - really a work of art, so colourful. Our server was very gracious! I highly recommend The Vines restaurant!

Cruising down Route 50 from Windsor to Kingsville, we stopped for lunch Coopers Hawk Vineyard on a recommendation from a server at another restaurant. I can only imagine the views from the dining room as spring grows into summer. The dining room is bright and airy, wrapped with windows. Staff was friendly, quick and helpful with the menu. I had the house ground chuck burger. 2 patties with bacon, cheddar, carmelized onions and all the fixings. Excellent flavour and very messy!! We opted to add the signature CHV truffle parmesan fries, because ..truffle parmesan fries!!! Sooo good. The wine was the recommended pairing of Talon Red. A lighter bodied dry red with notes of cherry and dark berries and chocolate. Very nice. We enjoyed our lunch and would definitely return.

We made Cooper’s Hawk one of our stops on our Essex County wine tour and tasted some great wine. Unfortunately the location was very busy and with only wood on concrete everywhere, the noise echoed so much that we were yelling the next kind of wine to sample. Nonetheless there were many good wines to taste and hopefully my experience isn’t someone else’s.

Apparently we were the last table for a Sunday. When I made reservations it was for 4:00, said we had 90 mins. Felt very rushed as I was asked if I was done eating before I even put my fork down. I was not done. Took our water and water glasses while we were still seated. Took my husband's wine glass as soon as he was finished....literally. They had us out of there within 45 mins. Not impressive!

Geat staff that makes the trip worth stopping in for but the wine is very good also and they have a few sweet ones that most of the other winery's in the area do not. They also make an incredible ice wine that's reasonable priced. If you are a chocolate lover they have a small section of delightful treats including a dark chocolate bar covered in crushed espresso beans that's goes great with the wine and gives you the little boost of energy needed to continue the wine trail.

This summer was my first time visiting Coopers Hawk. My friends and I enjoyed the muskoka chairs on the patio with a gorgeous view of the vineyards. I was particularly impressed with our server, Darla. She gave us by far the most attentive and personable service I have ever received as a customer in any establishment and I hope she’s been recognized for her charisma. Great venue that would be a great place for any event. Will definitely be back!

I have been ordering wine to be delivered to my porch since the beginning of this pandemic and I am so so happy with their products and their level of service. They provide very quick 1-2 days delivery right to my door, contact free. I am a bit of an amateur wine connaisseur, so I have tried MANY different wines at many different price points and I am extremely impressed with their products. My absolute favorite is their dry reisling, which has such a unique, slightly sweet flavour that I have never tasted elsewhere. My husband and I love the Heritage, their higher priced vintage, that is well worth the mere $30. I would also highly recommend the Syrah for a nice dry red, and the Pinot Grigio for a sweet white. The cider is also delicious! Thank you for showing your appreciation for my loyalty by gifting me this lovely outdoor wine glass!

We went with out of town friends as part of our Essex County wine tour. We made reservations for lunch and reconfirmed. When we arrived our table wasn't ready - they wanted to seat us by the door, but we said we would wait while they cleared another table. Our waitress promptly served us water and gave us menus. She took our order promptly. An hour later she returned to tell us they had run out of chicken - one person ordered it. First, why did it take so long we asked - Apparently the kitchen lost or didn't receive our order! Totally unacceptable. My friend changed his order to a burger and we voiced our displeasure - she said she would see about getting us a discount. Half an hour later still no food! She brought us more wine - not what we wanted or needed. She said the burger was just being prepared - after we had already waited 1 1/2 hours!!! Finally we get our food - which was good and she The only discount was one free glass of wine each - hardly enough. Then we went to the wine tasting area. Another disappointment We were told it was $1 per taste - we told the person we had just had lunch so he didn't charge us. But only gave us each a few drops of two wines - hardly enough to taste. All in all not a good experience. I will not go back for a very long time, nor will I recommend them to anyone

We called for a reservation on Tuesday. For Sunday. Very disappointed with our visit. There was 9 of us and they expected us to fit in one picnic table and 1 chair on the side. Gave us a hard time when we asked for 2 tables. Originally we asked to be inside but they put us outside. Food was good but service was poor

We had a nice lunch at Coopers Hawk. Our server was very friendly and the food we ate was good. In our view this is a good place to come for some food and a visit with friends. The trees around the patio are lovely. We found the menu was a bit scattered. We had Mexican, Asian and Italian inspired dishes and I’m just not sure that all belongs on the same menu. The wine we had (dry Riesling and rosé) was not to our taste, but I see that other people liked the Chardonnay. 4 stars for restaurant, 3 stars for the wines we tried

I went to Coopers Hawk Vineyard on Feb 8, 2014. I had brought a friend from out of town with me and was very disappointed at the lack of customer service. We were not acknowledged by staff although we waited standing at the bar for ten minutes. I understand that it was busy but I feel that 10 mins was more than adequate time for someone to have not only acknowledged our presence but served us as well. I will not return.

Location is beautiful and the wine was good, but the management staff was seriously behind the ball. We made reservations weeks in advance to eat, only to find that 2 out of the 4 menu options were unavailable. To add to this, our orders were already taken and now had to be re-taken 20 minutes later. Overall, it took 1.5 hours to receive food and caused us to miss our other planned/pre-booked events. I'll never visit this place again.

Would like to share my thoughts on my summer and fall winery trip this past year. My girlfriends and I have visited Cooper's Hawk winery several times this year. If one wants to experience the best of the best wine and food and also wine tasting you need to go. The whole experience there makes you want to return. Their perch and burger is to die for!! Not sure what is on the burger but they know how to make a good one. Tom and David also greet with a smile and Welcome . So this new year put Cooper's Hawk Vineyard on your list to visit. An excellent venue for weddings, showers, business meetings, etc, but also for just a quiet lunch or dinner on the patio. The ambience is spectacular with specialty lighting for events and particular attention to decor detail. The grounds are beautifully kept with large shade trees, plenty of space to go for a walk. The food is delicious, well prepared and well timed. And of course, the wine...my personal favourites are 2011 Cab Merlot preserve and the house ice wine. Guests are greeted with a smile at the door and in my experience, the wait staff is always pleasant. I highly recommend Cooper's Hawk Vineyards as a warm, inviting date night, family dinner or large event venue. Cheers!????????????????

Came in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. They were out of stock of their Iler Cider, all draught and bottled beer (with the exception of Coors Light which was locked up). Our server claimed they had a wedding last night and ran out. Beautiful venue and has a nice feel, but obviously whoever does their ordering is terrible at their job. Service was slow. Wine came quickly but a sparkling water took 15 minutes to receive. The fridge containing the Coors Light was locked so I couldn’t get one. Food orders were incorrect for 2 out of the 4 parties. Food was decent, but not anything stand out. Service was poor at best. Could be a decent place, but unfortunately that was not our experience. With all of the wineries in the area, there is absolutely better out there.

We drove out from the city for a dinner at Cooper’s Hawk with a confirmed reservation for 7pm. I called at seven and said we would be ten minutes late. Which we were exactly. Upon arrival they had nowhere to seat us. Much scrambling and whispering transpired for us to eventually be placed on a shabby picnic table in the grass crawling with mosquitos. This was date night : we were dressed a little nicer than wanting to sit on a splintered table. What’s interesting is as we walked through the patio area to get to this picnic table , there were two open tables. We asked if we could be moved and the waitress said no. They were over booked and had nowhere else to ‘stick us’. Why would they take our reservation then ? There was no attempt at saving our business as we said we were going to leave. Other than they were over booked ! Not a ‘leave it with me and let me see what we can do ‘ attempt. Nothing ! We drove to Kingsville without a reservation and O’Sarracino created a table and seated us and served us to an amazing meal with spectacular service ! For this short notice accommodation they were tipped very well ! We will not be visiting Coppers Hawk for a long time if ever ! Thank you Kingsville for an amazing evening outside !

We did a bike tour of the area this summer and this was our favourite stop. The staff guided us through the tastings and were able to recommend a few wines I would have never guessed I’d like . The Riesling was particularly good and we made sure to grab a few bottles to bring back .

We had a reservation for 7:15pm, upon arrival there were 4 open tables but we were told we had to wait for a specific table that still had people seated at it. When asked why this was they couldn't give us a good answer and offered us a seat in the non-restaurant portion of the patio while we waited. As we waited 2 other tables were seated as soon as they arrived, and yet there was still an open table. We waited about 15 minutes and were just about to leave when we were told our table was finally ready. When I asked again I wasn't given an answer or an apology, and throughout our dinner the table next to us stayed empty, so why couldn't we sit there? HOWEVER - our waitress Tina more than made up for the rocky start to our evening. She was very apologetic, gave us prompt service, ensured our food was fresh, and offered us free beverages. Thank you so much Tina for saving our evening as we were celebrating our anniversary! If it wasn't for Tina this would be a 1-star review.

This was our first time here and I will say I would gladly go back again. There was four of us and we all had the special and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was courteous and all safety protocols were taken. The patio was nice for which we had reservations. Pricing was reasonable and I would definitely recommend this place.

I wouldn't suggest booking an event here..The wait staff gives you the feeling they don't want you there and the managers don't have their fees figured out. I received my bill after the event from the owner, and it didn't reflect at all what was agreed upon. Then I get a rude response that I was quoted incorrectly. How is that my fault? Get you things together! Glad its over!

Usually love coming here but we had a group of 9 and were given one picnic table for all. When we asked for more chairs or table we were told this is what you get. Another server came by told us not to get in a huff and offered us another picnic table but we couldn't put them together. We had made a reservation . I am thinking they are short on servers but a big group like that spends over $300 I'm sure and to be treated like that? Well we will go elsewhere next time. The food was delicious, our server was very efficient but it didnt start out well ????I noticed there were lots of empty tables inside also.

I had called to make a reservation for myself, a few other adults and our children just to have to call back and be spoken to very rudely and unprofessionally by the manager, Tina. I was told i would be accommodated and that they would call me back but I never received the call back, so i called again later on and Tina said they had no room for us and didn't seem very interested in having us accommodated. All she tried offering was a table for 4 on the patio which becomes really hot and not to mention, a ways away from the play set they have for the children. I would also like to mention, that I had asked for a particular waitress if it wasn't asking too much, and the response back was nothing but snooty "Ohhh you're the one that wanted _____, yaa, she's not working tomorrow either" as if I bothered her that I asked. So I politely said "Thanks for your time" & hung up before I started getting unprofessional towards her. So please, if you need to call and make reservations, please ask for someone else if Tina answers, because I promise, she'll ruin your whole outlook on the place.

The establishment itself is lovely, with a beautiful patio, some of it covered. The service and food, on the other hand left quite a bit to be desired. The flatbread was overly salty, and the special, which the server, pointed to another sandwich on the menu, and said "it's kind of like that, but with chicken", was mediocre. This experience was probably one of the least impressive I have come across in a long while. We were the only table inside, as it was warm and lots of bees (allergy) outdoors. After being ignored for 5 minutes, we were tossed our menus without any specials being told to us. After our drink order, we said we would appreciate time to chat before placing our food order. After our meal, she remarked, "have you had enough time to talk?" I am usually not one to complain, and I understand everyone may have a bad day, but when a group of four came in, with all the tables available, they sat them right behind us and the same server was just as inhospitable to them.

Very disappointed we never made reservations but was not expecting anything special just wanted to taste some wines eat a little lunch and purchase some of there wines the server although pleasant and efficient insisted we order a lunch we orderd the charcuterie board and two draft beers to start asked for some wine flights she said she would send the person over and never did felt very uncomfortable apparently a 40 dollar meat board wasn't considered lunch which was very lacking btw first time at that winery if you ever want to feel second class that's the place to go don't waste your time on cooper's hawk unless your that class of people

First time here, had wine and hor d'oeuvres. I really liked the unoaked Chardonnay. I'm not a huge fan of Ontario reds so I wasn't surprised not to love the reds. Had the charcuterie board which was nice. Gift shop /tasting room had some cute gift items. Was disappointed not to have the option to taste the sparkling wine. Will go back in the spring / summer - I hear the patio is lovely.

This is a beautiful vineyard. It was the first time I ventured out after the restrictions were lifted from covid. I felt very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. I would recommend this venue. Lunch was awesome.

The Coopers Hawk patio was very nice. Food was excellent. Beet salad and local perch were well prepared and tasted great. The barrel fermented chardonnay was very nice with notes of pear and apple with a toasty oak/fruit finish. A very nice venue and we will be back.

Went to three vineyards and this was by far the worst. The food was good, the vineyard and available area was beautiful but the staff was rude, blunt, and basically, moody. We were given 4 tastings which were not our choice but chosen for us, and then denied any other tastings cause we had had the "max of 4" Instead of being explained this, or given the option to pay for a tasting (which is ridiculous), the staff member whispered to everyone in front of us not to serve us any more tastings. We were then told " well your aren't the worst I've had" when we apologized for having a party of 30 in one room.... Bottom line, didn't buy any wine, would never go back, and would never recommended to anyone.
